» Item Description: Resolving Ascension is a crimson red sphere that is no larger than a regular ball. With that said, this sphere has the capacity to unlock a persons potential and help them reach mastery of their willpower. Thus, it can lead to the development of increased skill levels or tiers. However, this is not without a price. The protocols behind it calls for them to face off against Ibiki in a no holds match within her inner world.

So, to fight against Ibiki wholly means to fight against the sum total of her willpower. Ergo, Oni-Kyosei would be present within this battle. If one were to understand the depth of power these two possess, it's very easy to see how this is daunting task to undergo.

Yet, that is not the only stipulation behind it. They have a time limit of ten post from Ibiki in order to face off against her, uncover the value of their willpower and figure out what makes the essence of their spirit. If they cannot find that value in themselves, and if they cannot last against Ibiki in these ten post, then they will forefit half of their power for a duration of three threads and they will be unable to retry for this training again during that duration as well.

If Ibiki fails to keep up the pressure, then she to will find this same injury done to herself and it is a necessary protocol behind this technique. Therefore, it is not a story ability that does not come without risk. It is meant to add tension, depth and motivation in the threads that it is used in.
