Called into the office of King Zap, and all official like as well. It was sorta worrying considering Mirja’s mind worked like strudel worked for armour, and that got her into a lot of trouble for things she had no idea where actually trouble-worthy. She had been given a precise time, and so spend two hours judging distances and gauging speeds so that she could make some Sky Tea – tea that used leaves cultivated several thousand meters in the air – and then brush her hair, her tail, and her ears, shower, put on her uniform, and then go outside. Then forget she was not wearing shoes, go back in, silently complain that she was cramming her feet into horribly restrictive constructs of a mind less sound than her own, and finally arrive where she was ordered to arrive, at precisely 14:30. People could wonder how Mirja planned to forget her shoes when it was an accident, but trying to understand her train of thought in any way, was how people ended up with friendly men in white coats and jackets that made them hug themselves.

While waiting, her mind went crazy over what could be the reason for being here, but her physical stature was perfect, albiet a bit stiff so that she didn’t accidentally punch someone that came into the room a bit too fast. She was currently incredibly on edge, and managed not to sweat because she hated sweating enough that her Territorial Tulpa made it a physical impossibility for her. The ramifications of this were not something that occurred to her, because right now she was too busy questioning and second-guessing everything she had done over the past month and then trying to put them against the gauge of Vastimian etiquette. So far she felt like a zoo keeper trying to stop a rampaging herd of elephants by asking them nicely to sit down.

ENTER THE DEPTHS

In the line of duty one could expect to encounter strife, to encounter situations which would test the mantle and resolve which was so thoroughly enforced throughout the Vastimian military. It was why that in the call of duty and glory that in circumstances one would see fit to reward this dedication, as not all records of service where free from blemishes. So as Mirja approached the office doors two men would be standing in front of it blocking her path clearly on orders from Hayden.

After some time the two men would hear something from their intercoms located in their eye, before stepping aside clearly ready to allow Mirja to pass through. If she followed through with that motion and opened she would see the room filled with four individuals one of being being Hayden standing in front of his desk clad in his full battle armor- which was essentially his shikai suppressed. The helmet which could not conceal the intense chocolate color'd eyes where focused so intently on Mirja, that the weight of the world could not compare from the intense aura radiating from the room at this moment.

Around him stood three other individuals clad in traditional Vastimian garb, which was basically the higher grade officer uniforms. It was clear that these men acted as some sort of honorary guard to Hayden but also would bare witness to this moment, it would be at this time all the information Mirja learned at basic training may begin to flood back to her. In this circumstance this was simply referred to as 'The Ceremony' in which either a promotion or reward was to be issued personally via the king himself.

"Approach and kneel."

The words would not escape Hayden's lips but the man closest to his side would say this, his hand resting on the saber which was attached to his belt. All three of the men in fact held their hands on their sabers. For Mirja at one point in her training she would have been told to approach within six steps, then to kneel and bow before their king. If she could follow these simple instructions, hopefully quietly. The man known as Desmond Hayden would gaze down st her.

"Do you, Mirja Eeola, swear to enforce the lawful orders of Desmond Erasmus d'al Valerius Cunaris ae Hayden, maintaining the integrity and realm security while also obeying the orders of those placed above you, your superiors?"

The male asking this was the same that asked her to kneel, the man voice was booming as the intensity of the room seemed to be able to but with a butter knife. This moment was crucial to the advancement of Mirja as a soldier of Vastime. Should she screw this up it would result in an expulsion from the room and most likely a stain which could not be recovered from. At any rate, the proper response should she remember would be something along the lines of 'I swear by my sacred honor' or something akin to that.

It this point Hayden's Zanpakatou would become unsheathed as a crackle of lightning was heard, emitting from his blade in a pulsating manner as it traveled across it. The tip to the blade resting at the point of her throat, unflinchingly waiting for her response. Only a few millimeters away from her throat was a weapon which pulsed with fierce elemental power, which could easily slice cities apart with the user. Hayden simply held the blade to her throat with his armed outstretched waiting for her answer.

This was simply the first part.

The two guards that were outside Hayden's office stopped her, because she didn't do her usual of coming through the window or appearing in his office before anyone had noticed she had entered the building. This was serious business, and that was why she had gathered every part of her mentality, and stuck them into a box before throwing in snacks and toys to distract them. Despite the time she had spent with Ibiki, she was still prone to freaking in social situations like this. And wither it was good or bad, she couldn't afford to freak. They let her in after a few moments and led her to Hayden's office, which couldn't have had a more intimidating appearance if it tried.

Hayden, the not-big-yet-really-big guy was stood decked out as if he was going to war a thousand years ago, and three others in flash outfits where stood around as well. It was here that she was really glad she had managed to somehow absorb her bodysuit. Fetishwear like that was labeled didn't suit this situation in the slightest. She was incredibly nervous, and her heart was beating heavily. Not a problem for normal people but Mirja's unique physiology made each beat sound like she had a bass speaker installed in her chest. Each 'throb' was audible and could be felt by the people in the room. And then suddenly something clicked and the box lid was thrown open, demonstrating that she had not actually locked the lid in her haste.

'Hey, I know this one. It's The Ceremony' her mind said, munching on the provided snacks, only to be joined by another.
'Putting aside our own depreciation because Ibiki has highlighted how much stock can be put in that, why would be here? Henrex and Kimitsuki ensure that we know everything we do is a failure' It was a fair point, but Mirja couldn't just stand gormlessly while they argued, and so approached and knelt.
'Maybe they got the papers mixed up and this is actually for someone else' the one who had identified the ceremony in the first place put in.
'Do you think a guy with a name that long would ever mess up paperwork? He need three lines just for that, so clearly he would get efficient so he doesn't have to write it out more than he has to'
the discussion raged on, and without oversight, Mirja acted how she thought was best.

"I do" it was simple, to avoid problems, or offending someone. But it certainly did offend.
'I do?! What is that half-arsed crap!? Are you getting married?!' a more vocal and angry part of her mind shrieked.
'If you'd all stop bickering and actually help out, maybe I would have something better! Mirja shrieked back, not that any evidence of this mental conflict would be visible, aside from her heavily beating heart. 'Also, sword. Yea, Hayden doesn't grandstand but it's still a bit unnerving to have something like that stuck in your face'

She was panicking a little, over her answer. This whole situation seemed so serious, and she had been so basic. But, only time would tell, she could do nothing now but wait for the boat to sink, or float.

ENTER THE DEPTHS

"Do, Mirja Eeola, swear to protect the interests and the person of His Majesty, to serve this vital task so long as you have an arm to swing, a leg to stand upon, and eyes to see with?"

The man booming voice would echo this without missing a beat, for as soon as she spoke he would ask this next question with the utmost tenacity and vigor one could muster. This ceremony was crucial both as a test of character and as a reward for hard earned promotion, one which Mirja would be fit to bare according to his majesty. So the room would grow silent as the ever loud crackling of the black was heard, only held millimeters away from her throat.

Meanwhile, the form of Desmond Hayden, her royally appointed king looked down at her. He knew she had what it took to accept this sacred duty. Even if she did not believe in her self he knew she held the power and tenacity to learn the ways of Vastime, but it was time for the nation to take a gamble on her. It was time for Mirja Eeola to prove that she was worthy of being a Vastimian citizen, that she truly wanted to embrace the values of Vastime and uphold them so long as she held lungs to breathe with.

The room was absolutely vibrating with energy and tenacity, these individuals all possessed their own unique mixture of energy speaking volumes to Mirja. They where obviously near Hayden's and her own power level from both their energy and the way they held high esteem in this office. None the less, should she answer again they would move on except this time it would be Hayden's measured yet heavy voice falling upon the ears of Eeola.

"Do you, Mirje Eeola, swear to live a life clean of mind and body, to be an example to those who serve aside you and below you? Do you swear to serve honorably alongside your king?"

'You know, if there is anything Hayden needs protecting from, I doubt we will be much use' pointing out the obvious, while eating snacks, was a favored pass-time of Mirja's mentality. But so was arguing amongst itself.
'It's for the symbology of it. He's not going to stand there, sniggering and eating popcorn while you are fighting to protect him. You can be such an idiot at times' Mirja, the real Mirja not the arguing mind voices, was listening to them as well as listening to the other guys. They were very prompt about this, like they had practiced in the mirror or something. Maybe that was there job. Paperwork and practicing speeches. She could think of worse jobs.

"I..." Mirja began, but was cut off by a mental voice screaming at her that if she was going to half-arse this again then her tonsils would be ripped out with a hedgehog. The absurdity of the threat gave her pause and so she listened to the suggestion. And it made her smile, a broad lupian smile. Her fangs where on show and suddenly, there was not anxiety from Mirja, but the unspecified feeling of a man who kept a Wolf like other men kept dogs.
"By my Claws, I so swear to give everything I can muster to His Majesty" She replied, a soft undertone of a snarl to it. Her lupian nature was always bubbling just beneath the surface, and when prodded, it brought her drive and chased away the emotions of the sheep.

Taking a deep smell of the pack in front of her, she could get a good feel for all of them. They where not just sheep in wolves clothing, here to help the paperwork and keep the room nice and tidy. These where Wolves of their own, each with sharp fangs and sturdy claws. King Hayden filled his den well. And then the king himself spoke to Mirja, filling the room with his power, and his presence. Mirja really wanted to know what kind of Tulpa such a powerful man could create. His drive and determination could make something magnificent.

'Clean of mind? Do you think he knows about us?'
'Pretty sure we are ruled out for Clean of body as well. Between Arianda and Ceal, we are not exactly fresh from the showers'
'We didn't actually do anything with Ceal, only to her
'You think Hayden makes that distinction?' However, it seemed the most magnificent of men could not silence Mirja's mind. Not one to second guess herself, Mirja just put it to the belief that Hayden already knew everything Mirja had gotten up to. It was on the internet, after all, and no good King would accept a dangerous animal like Mirja without a solid background check.

"Until the coming of Skoll and Hati, I shall serve honorably alongside my king" She replied. Mirja could not promise cleanliness in what had already been sullied, because that would be dishonorable and a violation of her oath before she even took it.
'Do you think he knows who they are?'
'Here's hoping. Otherwise we are going to sound pretty flaky, and that is the opposite of what was intended'

ENTER THE DEPTHS

The crackling sword which was only a millimeter away from the exposed flesh of Mirja's neck would pull away, lifting above her head as it was brought to her left shoulder. The blade would hover just above her shoulder as the eyes of the room where cast heavily upon Mirja. It seemed they where nearing the ending of the small ceremony, but silence invaded the room as the sword hovered above her left shoulder.

"By the Authority the realm of Vastime has invoked in my, I Desmond Erasmus d'al Valerius Cunaris ae Hayden, Hereby promote you to the rank of corporal within the Vastimian Army."

The male would speak lifting the blade from her left shoulder to bring it down onto her right one, hovering as he spoke. The crossing of the swords indicating a royal decree has just been. The accolades she had just been given an affirmation of her duty and role within Vastime. It seemed however, it was not done. The men would gaze down at her as Hayden removed the from her shoulders, beginning to sheathe it before stopping half way. The sword remained half within the sheathe as the man who spoke her earlier spoke.

"Should the day Skoll and Hati comes, I will stand beside my king and rip those wolves in half. Your loyalty should extend far beyond the day Ragnarok comes. For, His majesty, is the protector of this world and I will face and repel the apocalypse beside him. But rise, soldier- you are not done."

The command was sharp, the rough and gravelly voice of the man who's name was 'Folke' from the sown on name tag. The bald head and ashen skin combined with the full beard indicated some sort of speciality to his job, but his name was easily translated into the nordic meaning of: "From the People." None the less Hayden's armored head would gaze down at her as she would stand- one sharp motion would be taken.

The pommel of the sword would shoot out, hitting with enough force to knock the wind out of Mirja chest along with leave a decent bruise- which was speaking something. Hayden's power would match that so she would not fly out the room or have a broken rib cage but the hit was solid and sturdy. It was also apart of the ceremony as he completely sheathed his sword at this point.

"Let that be the last insult you allow to go unaddressed. I hereby name you Squire of the Order of Saint Marcus."

The words which escaped his mouth caused the three men to go to attention rendering a sharp salute, before someone called an order which made them drop the salutes and relax. She had just been made the lowest rank of an order, but it meant she was on the path of being a knight under the very order which was led by Hayden himself. She held no real rank or authority, if anything it was more of a 'stable boy' sorta job but it meant that she was still working towards a full knighthood.

The order of Saint Marcus was essentially on the military knight-orders which was designated as a 'Knight of the Red', these knights often served in the military and looked to find glory in the fields of battle- giving their lifes in pursuits to further that cause. Saint Marcus Cassius Scaeva was a roman centurion was not only fought with such battle lust and pride within the roman army, he was one of the unsung heroes that allowed for some of their greatest victories. Even having ripped an arrow out of his eye he fought onward, when offered surrender he murdered the two men from the opposing army. He was truly, the definition of a Knight of the Red, hence the greatest of knighthoods being established in his name.

"Congratulations, you are dismissed Mirja Eeola."

Hayden would speak sheathing his Zanpakatou, the blackened holes of his helmet gazing at her. This now meant Hayden was not just her king but as she should know he was the Knight-Grand master of the Order of Saint Marcus. Chances are his assessments of her would be more critical as he now was implacing more trust into her judgement.

Hearing his name, again, A part of Mirja put to one side asking him why it was so long. There was the Italian tradition of having your place of birth in your name, and the Russian tradition of having your father's name in your name, but she had no idea what would cause a name to grow that long. That part of here was softly pondering and sipping tea while the rest of the Mirjas where gibbering insanely.
'Corporal? But why!? the shriek was loud and irritating to all that heard it.
'Because it's good, for them. Apparently. And Hayden is cool, so we are going to do it'
'And because Tulpas are abstract and wonky. Just because they are born from a lack of desire to command any, doesn't mean we are never going to do it' The chattering wolf girls chattered, while Mirja outside listened to the man called Folke.

He was a taste of home, and a man who's loyalty in his king was such that he spoke about standing against Ragnarok, tearing Skoll and Hati asunder, and facing off against the infinity that would descend upon the world. He was a very interesting person. So she stood, and then got smashed in the chest with a pommel. Had she been paying attention, it would not have been a major problem, but she wasn't paying attention, and so she got smashed. It wasn't an incredible blow, but it certainly hurt, and was also apparently an insult. This whole ceremony was lost on the Wolf girl, she was a simple creature, after all.

Eventually, she was dismissed, and so gave Hayden a bow - that was a subject of contestation and she was unsure if it was a bow, salute, or curtsy so just bowed - and then turned to Folke.
"With a Bjorn such as you by his side, a man could stand against the Nine Realms unflinching. But, if I don't get murdered by Einjarhar, obliterated by Aesir, crushed by Jotten, burned to a crisp by Srutr, breathed on by Jorgunmund, eaten by Fenrir - or Nidhoggr for that matter -pincussioned by the denizens of Alfhiem, cursed by the Norns, turned into a cute statue by the winds of Veðrfölnir, or smashed to a paste by the eagle he sits upon or just straight up trip on a rock, I shall renew my oaths in the ashes of Yggdrasil" she told Folke, before bowing again, and turning to leave. This, had certainly been an interesting day....
