II. Personality
» Personality:
While not pure evil and still wanting his own warped sense of good the trauma of losing his mother and his subsequent incarceration at Lambeth Asylum had a lasting effect on Jack's mental stability. Jack's views on the Assassin Order quickly developed; he came to the conclusion that Jacob was responsible, however indirectly, for the death of his mother and the abuse he faced at Lambeth Asylum. He also began to develop a strong disdain for the Creed, considering a creed that could not protect its own to be a dead one.
He brutally murdered all opposition sent against him – Assassins commonly under the guise of local prostitutes – in order to send a message to the Frye twins. He was also meticulous in his plan to destroy all evidence of his existence and prior life, going so far as to do away with a number of Lambeth Asylum staff who might have had any living memory of him as well as documents pertaining to his incarceration at the asylum.
In spite of his actions against the London Assassins, Jack was careful not to compromise the Brotherhood; despite his lack of respect for the contemporary Creed, he did come to believe in his own idealized version of the philosophy and still saw the Order as a means to an end. While most of his victims managed to hide their Assassin rings before death, at least one had their finger forcibly removed postmortem in order to hide their connection to the Order. He also destroyed any evidence of his connection to the Assassins at Deptford after his plans there were foiled by Evie Frye.
Jack was also very vindictive and held deep, bitter grudges against those who he believed had wronged him. This was seen when he brutally massacred most if not all of the Lambeth Asylum's staff as revenge for the torment he underwent there. He was also highly contradicting killing those who wronged him but also killing those who had not merely because they were in his way showing a hypocritcal side
Jack’s defining characteristics of integrity; practical logic and tireless dedication to duty make him a vital core to many families, as well as organizations that uphold traditions, rules and standards. Jack takes pride in the work he does – when working towards a goal, he holds back none of his time and energy completing each relevant task with accuracy and patience.
Jack doesn’t make many assumptions, preferring instead to analyze his surroundings, check his facts and arrive at practical courses of action. Jack is no-nonsense, and when he’s made a decision, he will relay the facts necessary to achieve his goal, expecting others to grasp the situation immediately and take action. Jack has little tolerance for indecisiveness, but loses patience even more quickly if his chosen course is challenged with impractical theories, especially if he ignore key details – if challenges becomes time-consuming debates, he can become noticeably angry as deadlines tick nearer.
When he says he is going to get something done, he does it, meeting his obligations no matter the cost, and he is baffled by people who don’t hold his own word in the same respect. Combining laziness and dishonesty is the quickest way to get on his bad side. Consequently, Jack often prefers to work alone, or at least have his authority clearly established by hierarchy, where he can set and achieve his goals without debate or worry over other’s reliability.
Jack has a sharp, fact-based mind, and prefers autonomy and self-sufficiency to reliance on someone or something. Dependency on others is often seen by him as a weakness, and his passion for duty, dependability and impeccable personal integrity forbid falling into such a trap.
This sense of personal integrity is core to Jack, and goes beyond his own minds – Jack adheres to established rules and guidelines regardless of cost. To him, honesty is far more important than emotional considerations, and his blunt approach leaves others with the false impression that he is cold, or even robotic. Jack struggles to express emotion or affection outwardly, but the suggestion that he doesn’t feel, or worse have no personality at all, is deeply hurtful.
Jack’s dedication is an excellent quality, allowing him to accomplish much, but it is also a core weakness that less scrupulous individuals take advantage of. He seeks stability and security, considering it his duty to maintain a smooth operation, and he may find that his coworkers and significant others shift his responsibilities onto them, knowing that he will always take up the slack. He tends to keep his opinions to himself and let the facts do the talking, but it can be a long time before observable evidence tells the whole story.
He needs to remember to take care of himself – his stubborn dedication to stability and efficiency can compromise those goals in the long term as others lean ever-harder on them, creating an emotional strain that can go unexpressed for years, only finally coming out after it’s too late to fix. If he can find coworkers and spouses who genuinely appreciate and complement his qualities, who enjoy the brightness, clarity and dependability that he offer, Jack will find that his stabilizing role is a tremendously satisfying one, knowing that he is part of a system that works.
Integrity is the heart of the Jack. Emotional manipulation, mind games and reassuring lie’s all run counter to Jack’ preference for managing the reality of the situations he encounters with plain and simple honesty. The facts are the facts, and Jack tends to resist any new idea that isn’t supported by them. This factual decision-making process also makes it difficult for Jack to accept that he was wrong about something – but anyone can miss a detail, even him. While not intentionally harsh, Jack often hurt more sensitive types’ feelings by the simple mantra that honesty is the best policy. Jack may take emotions into consideration, but really only so far as to determine the most effective way to say what needs to be said.
Jack embodies that integrity in his actions too, working hard and staying focused on his goals. Patient and determined, Jack meets his obligations, period.
Jack’s word is a promise, and a promise means everything. Jack would rather run himself into the ground with extra days and lost sleep than fail to deliver the results he said he would. Loyalty is a strong sentiment for Jack, and he fulfills his duties to the people and organizations he committed himself to. Opinions are opinions and facts are facts, and Jack is unlikely to respect people who disagree with those facts, or especially those who remain willfully ignorant of them.
The primary goal of Jack is to be effective in what he chosen to do, and he believes that this is accomplished best when everyone involved knows exactly what is going on and why. Unclear guidelines and people who break established rules undermine this effort, and are rarely tolerated by Jack. Structure foster dependability; chaos creates unforeseen setbacks and missed deadlines. All this can combine to make Jack believes he is the only one who can see projects through reliably. As he loads himself with extra work and responsibilities, turning away good intentions and helpful ideas, Jack sooner or later hit a tipping point where he simply can’t deliver. Since he heaped the responsibility on himself, Jack then believe the responsibility for failure is his alone to bear.
Jack isproud repositories of knowledge, though the emphasis is more on facts and statistics than concepts and underlying principles. This allows Jack to apply himself to a variety of situations, picking up and applying new data and grasping the details of challenging situations as a matter of course
III. History
» History: In 1860 in the Whitechapel area named a boy Jack, also known as Jack the Lad, was born and lived alongside his mother until she was murdered by the Templars of Crawford Starrick, a monastic military order-turned-corporate giant, which was formed during the prehistoric era. Traumatized by her death, Jack was placed in Lambeth Asylum, where poor treatment, test and negligence only further aggravated his mental instability. After the death of Starrick in 1868, he was liberated from the asylum and brought into the Assassin fold by Jacob Frye to be trained among a selection of new initiates.
During his apprenticeship with Jacob, Jack along with other initiates were sent to University College School, a school with four levels: "The Phoenix School", co-educational for ages 3 to 7 on the Finchley Road site. This was acquired by UCS in 2003. "The Junior Branch", for boys aged 7 to 11 on the Holly Hill site in the heart of Hampstead. "The Senior School", for boys aged 11 to 16 and co-educational for ages 16 to 18 on the Frognal site, which is the largest school site. The main campus and the Great Hall are noted examples of Edwardian architecture. Inside the hall is a magnificent pipe organ, used for school concerts, professional recordings and other festivities, and in 2015 the school raised funding for a new Steinway piano. "The Playing Fields" are situated in West Hampstead on Ranulf Road.
Around 1873, he traveled with Jacob and the other initiates to India in order to learn the fear tactics of the Indian Brotherhood, a group that Jacob's sister, Evie Frye, had joined. Upon returning to London he gained an extremist view of the Assassins' mission, for he noticed traitors - Templar or otherwise - there.
During the time Jacob helps Jack is 17 Jack develops feelings for Jacob and ends of confessing, who denies, but confesses he loved Jack too. Jack ask Jacob to have sex with him for it was his only chance to feel love from Jacob; they collide like stars: bright, blinding, and doomed in the end, When he was born he had a fistula in his arse and when in Lambeth Asylum he went under many tests, experiments as it were, and there it was removed and in “exchange” he was given a female reproductive system slightly connected to his male, such as a penis being where the clitoris and urethra were as such he would later give birth to Carver in 1881, who he ended giving to a nurse, but later disappeared and the nurse killed – to which he would not tell Jacob and Jack visited less and less as time passed, mostly because when Jacob wasn't busy when Jack dropped by at his place to visit. Jacob's priorities were the young that were the future of the Brotherhood. They barely saw each other; Jack had stopped dropping by after sometime when he became visibly pregnant.
After that he first sought a side career as an actor, before taking up the study of art at age 21 in 1881. In 1883, he travelled to Paris and met Edgar Degas, a French artist famous for his paintings, sculptures, prints, and drawings. He is especially identified with the subject of dance; and while Jack did not have much passion in art he grew to truly enjoy it. Due to his time as an actor he lived on the center stage but at the same time was comfortable moving about the shadows.
He also learned disguise and uses quick changing skills, latex masks, perfect voice imitation, and various gadgets. While highly competent at short and quick disguise, Jack excels at long term impersonation, and is capable of taking over someone's life and fooling even their close friends and family. He has a great range of voice he could change and throw his voice (mold it as easily as putty in his hands), and he could switch between a high, girlish pitch of a young woman, and the low, abrasive tones of an ill-tempered man, and everything in between, and do it at the drop of a hat – and throw that current voice around to cause confusion and discord.
For some time he went to America establishing the new Pinkertons in New York in 1885 with a man called Septimus Tudd.
Eventually, Jack usurped control of the Rooks from Jacob and killed anyone sent to deter him. Radicalizing his followers, Whitechapel – the center of Jack's operations – descended into a cesspool of crime and depravity destroying those of the Creed original rules but slightly modified that became known as the Rook rules.
Stay your blade from the flesh of an innocent or be absolutely certain that the target is a killer, who takes life for no condonable reason, or a rapist, human trafficker, etcetera and always take time and make sure you have the right person-EVIDENCE. Another less mentioned factor of the code victims must be killers who the police have been unable to catch or convict.
Hide in plain sight or don’t get caught committing a crime, since that would result in imprisonment and may even result in being put to death. In a situation where an innocent finds out about who the Rooks, they may need to kill them to protect themselves.
Never compromise the Brotherhood or Never make things personal, never get emotionally involved, never make a scene, or if needed Fake emotion and normality to fit in and when taking a psychology personality test, always answer the question with the opposite of what you feel.
After returning to England in 1888 or the Autumn of Terror where Jack murdered a number of Assassins sent after him by Jacob, including Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride and Catherine Eddowes. With these murders, Jack, under the pseudonym of "Jack the Ripper", started to attract media attention; Arthur Weaversbrook in particular – under duress due to Jack having kidnapped his son – began to publish Jack's letters for the public to inquire.
Having left a message for Jacob nearby, after his former mentor had demanded that Weaversbrook stop publishing the Ripper's letters, Jack trailed and kidnapped a fleeing Jacob, defeating him in combat and locking him up beneath Lambeth Asylum.
Before he was kidnapped, Jacob requested by letter that Evie return to London. With her return, Jack saw the gradual disruption of his plans. He was eventually lured out of the shadows by the assassination of Olwyn Owers at Evie's hands; after Evie assassinated his right-hand woman, Jack killed all of the occupants at Owers Manor and subsequently framed the former for the massacre.
As part of his mission, Jack kept hostages in old Navy ships and forced them to write to their families, making demands that were to be met in exchange for the lives of their abducted loved ones. This part of his plan too was thwarted by Evie, as she dismantled his private prison, assassinated his Chief Warder, and informed the police about the abducted hostages. Consequently, Jack resolved to eliminate any witnesses at Deptford that knew of his actions as well as any evidence linking him to the Assassins, in an effort to protect the Brotherhood and his new Creed.
Jack staged a reunion between the Frye twins at Lambeth Asylum and his doppelgänger Ruby, who had the intention of killing Evie and Jacob, she also beaten up Jacob. He lured Evie to the site of his mother's murder and left her with clues and cues indicating his true location of the asylum. In his first plan, Jack wanted to deal with Evie himself, even when he wasn't able to decide if he should kill her. Evie had nothing to do with the pitiful weakening of the Creed in London. She was with the Indian Brotherhood where he was taught about fear tactic that had become his most favorite tool/tactic ever. The Indian Brotherhood was one of the few Brotherhoods that had no traitors due to their strictness. However, something was up. One of his best apprentices spotted a large Templar movement in Wales. This matter could not wait; the Templar was a big matter. His first priority.
Jack left just an hour before Jacob's sister arrived to save Jacob. He left his maddest and most bloodthirsty apprentice, Ruby, to deal with her – or had Evie dealt with him. In preparation for her arrival, Ruby killed prominent Lambeth Asylum staff that knew of Jack's childhood confinement there, including his abusive nurse, a doctor and the asylum's director, while Jack destroyed all records of his stay.
Jack had known for a while that Ruby wished to replace him, but his very first student he had recruited from Lambeth Asylum was even more unstable and reckless than him. Ruby was more consumed by bloodlust and thirst for power, and her concern for the Templar problem was practically none. Jack knew that this apprentice would only cripple the Rooks if Jack let her have the power – but she was too skilled to just be got rid of without a worthwhile use. So, despite killing Ruby himself, Jack told his apprentice to take his place and dealt with Evie while he took care of the Templars. Ruby agreed with a huge grin while Jack smirked behind his mask. He knew Ruby could not kill Evie.
To slow Evie's approach, Ruby disguised as Jack, released all of the asylum's inmates. While she held an advantage over Evie with her superior strength and aid from the inmates, Evie was able to catch Ruby off-guard, and fatally wounded Ruby with Jack's trademark dagger. Ruby told Evie that she was no different than her before succumbing to her wounds.
In 1889 he find out that Carver is alive, he starts making plans. In 1895 he took in Carver to an insane asylum on Ellis Island where he taught him what he knew, minus being an assassin, and commits six murders for Carver to solve. He later died around the average uk life expectancy, 46 in 1906.
IV. Equipment
» Equipment:
Boning Kinfe: Jack was a killer using a Boning Knife.
Cards: As time passed on he bothered himself with learning the tricks of the trade of being a magician, cards one of his main uses.
Ziplines/Rope launcher: A system of transportation that consists of a pulley suspended on a cable mounted on an incline. Through the force of gravity, the user travels along the cable by latching on to the pulley. Although not technically ziplines, ropes stretched between two structures are popularly referred to as such by the Assassins when they are exploited in such a capacity through the aid of special equipment. With a Hookblade attached to the end to hook on buildings. A hookblade is a curved hook and a regular blade, allowing it to be used for freerunning and during combat.
Hidden blade: A blade which can be discreetly extended or retracted from a mechanism worn on the user's wrist by thrusting it, sometimes utilized in conjunction with a protective bracer.
Throwing Knives: Small blades that could kill enemies without armor and rooftop sentries.
Hallucinogenic darts: Silent, long-range weapons used to poison and kill assassination targets.
Smoke bombs: Explosive weapons used by Assassins from as early as the High Middle Ages. They can be employed for a variety of tactics, including escape, assault, and distraction.
V. Racial Techniques/Abilities/Skills
» Racial Abilities:
- Cero:
- As far as Platinum Hearts is concerned? A Cero is an extension of the user's spirit. Therefore, they can mend in most forms they choose. The most common way to perform a cero is by gathering a cluster of energy, directing it towards your palm and then shooting a destructive burst of energy at the target. However, as you become more masterful in your cero skill, you can can begin to mold it and customize it to a greater extent.
As an illustartion of what an advanced cero user could do, say this Arrancar in question yielded the ability to manipluate ice as one of their powers. With their skill over their cero control, they could begin to elements of their frozen element into their cero. In turn, this Arrancar would then be able to make hundreds of meters of space around them explode in solid ice chunks with frozen explosions.
Or, as you become a master, you could even produce entire weapons made from your Arrancar's energy. As, for instance, it would be in the realm of possibility to forge something like a cero blade that is constantly powered by your Arrancar's spiritual energy. And, when combined with their powers, very versatile means of combat could ensue depending on how you creative and imaginative you are with this weapon.
Honestly, it could be molded into armor, crafted into equipment, morphed into energy cores and so on and so forth. The sky is the limit the greater your control is with cero in the PH verse.
- Bala:
- What are bala's? Well, they are essentially the same thing cero's, save for the fact they are often smaller and much more easier to utilize. And, due to this fact, bala's are also infamous for their swift speed. As many Arrancar's can summon these quickly in battle and change the tides with their rapid fire capacity. Which means the higher in skill and strength your Arrancar is, the more instantaneous they can summon and spawn their creations of energy.
Granted, they will be weaker, but it is often worth it if attempting to surprise the enemy or create something on the fly. Since, in the PH verse, Bala's are still extremely adaptive depending on how ingenius you can get with your creations. They can be made to create temporarily blades of energy, or you could perhaps have it devour your characters arm in order to form a gauntlet that produces rapid fire burst of energy at the opponent. The examples can go on, but you should have a pretty fair idea of how to craft your characters attacks from what was written in the cero section.
- Hierro:
- This is the Arrancar's natural born defense. Hierro is a form of protective skin which makes them resistant to brute force damage from attacks ranging up to Zanpukto slashes and even energized blast. As far as the PH verse is concerned, this durability even extends into their organs and bones in order to create a form of double layered defense against foes attacks. So the stronger an Arrancar becomes, the more potent this durability often becomes.
And, as the character grows in tier and skill, the more customized this defense evolves into. For instance, some characters are able to further multiply this skill and create additional layers of defense to further soften the blow against attacks. This way the foe is having to attack through, in some cases, six layers of skin before making their mark.
In other illustration, they'll also merge it with their powers in order to make a more durable range of abilities. As, when they have more control over their hierro, they can even see the durability of their energy improve to create more potent attacks. So, for instance, a master level Arrancar could produce a form of spiritual hierro which enriches his attacks in order to resist be easily broken or shattered by barriers or other energy attacks.
So, as you can tell, this ability is highly altered and advanced in the PH verse and is up to your mind's limit (and common sense + limitations) to create.
- Soindo:
- Designed to be the equivalent of the Shinigami's Shunpo, Soindo is a form of high-speed movement that allows Arrancar to move in fast burst of momentum. But, unlike Shunpo, most Arrancar seem to have a natural instinct for it. As, even on lower levels, they appear to be able to move in short, but very rapid flashes of speed.
With that said, the duration, stamina and distance will vary from character to character based on their tier, skill sheet and powers. Some will be more designed towards long-distance running where they are conditioned to go at slower, but more stable rates of speed. While other Arrancar may craft their speed to be extremely short, but quite difficult to keep close of in short ranges.
And, as far as PH Arrancar are concerned, they can even apply this soindo to their attacks. This is performed by channeling their instinct into their energy, giving a manual impulse for the instinct of "soindo" to be activated and then giving up sums of their power in order to have greatly augmented speed when it comes to the movement of their assaults. This can result in enhanced cero attacks, further spamming of their abilities and allows them an edge over an opponent in battle.
So this is a rather potent skill for an Arrancar to vest their time and energy into.
- Pesquisa:
- In the PH Verse, Pesquisa is a means to feel out an opponent's energy and aura. It is activated by the Arrancar consciously tapping into their spiritual energy and sending a pulse throughout the battlefield of the thread they are in. From there, they can then begin to attain a sense for how many different energies are in the vicinity, how strong they are and what race they are.
And, like many of the abilities before it, this to has the potential to become customized. For instance, someone with a higher end skill in Pesquisa, say, around, advanced level, could attempt to create a constantly active version of this technique. One that allows all of their senses to become augmented and their perception of the battlefield to become precise. In turn, they can have a more keen sense of reaction when it comes to the slightest of movements on the battlefield because of how attuned their awareness is.
Now, that is but a brief illustration, but it drives the point home of getting ingenious with the way you want to use this racial power. So, as stated before, it's all up to how creative you are in making this ability tailored and suited to your character.
- Regeneration:
- The title says it all. Arrancar do have a choice to lower or trade in their Hierro for regeneration. This allows them to naturally recover from injuries, illness or any other damage their bodies may be dealt. Below are the different levels of regen that PH Arrancar possess:
Beginner: Flesh wounds are mended rather easily. Cuts, scrapes, bruises and thins like that can be recovered. Granted, it may tire out easily due to the level of skill associated with the character, but it is still a useful trait to have. If given enoguh time, they can regenerate entire organs and bones over the course of a few days if they are broken or damaged.
Adept: This is where regeneration starts to show it's real perks. Burns, fractured bones and blood loss can be restored within the same post or next post. Additionally, their bodies can stand a higher amount of abuse and endure lethal attacks much better. Such as if an opponent slashed their bodies all around and made them bled excess blood, they would still be able to stand and fight most likely. And, unlike beginners, they could restore their bodies back to normal within a single day if more critical injuries were dealt to them.
Advanced: Advanced level Arrancar who have regeneration can restore limbs and mend bones back together within one or two post if given enough time to recover. They are also capable of restoring nerves, fending off toxins and can retain a constant state of youth with how their body is rapidly regenerating itself. And, while it isn't anything like the masters regeneration, they can still restore their organs, but at a much slower rate. Roughly within one to three post depending on how much focus and energy they put into it.
Master: Masters can regenerate at fast rates of speed. In fact, it's possible for them to recover their injuries within the same post if they expend enough energy and stamina to do so. However, they are still killable if their heart or skull is crushed. So, it is ill-advised for them to take too much damage to these areas of their body. Otherwise, they are even capable of complex internal restoration; such as restoring organs and other structures of their body with relative ease.
Grand Master:Grand Masters may take the whole of their body being obliterated to kill. This is because their level of regeneration goes above and beyond the normal version of the Arrancar's regen. It is very likely that Arrancar of this caliber of skill are able to come back even after having their skull or heart crushed so long as they have the energy to perform the feat. They are often in a state of constant repair and their body is always seeking to mend and repair any damage done to it. Granted, it still takes energy and tiring them out could work, but it makes killing them quite difficult as they are often rather powerful when reaching the rank of GM.
VI. Sealed Powers
» Zanpakutô Name: Ripper
» Zanpakutô Appearance: His hidden blade.
- Ripper:
» Unique Power: Fear: Rather than discretely dealing with targets, he would use excess brutality in public assassinations to instill fear in the hearts of People. In combat, he would use fear bombs, spikes and jarring, psychotic screams to frighten and disrupt the composure of his opponents.
Eagle Vision: Able to instinctively sense how people and objects relate to them, which manifests as a colored glow, much like an aura. Red indicates enemies or spilled blood, blue indicates allies, white indicates sources of information or hiding spots, and gold indicates targets or objects of interest. But it’s based on what you know, It's like using every sense at once, isn't it? To see sounds and hear shapes.
