P E R S O N A L I T Y

Personality:

Yachiru is a carefree spirit with only few worries. Mind you, these worries are Ken-chan's happiness, when she will next get her hands on sweets and when she can marry Byakushi. She is fiercely protective of Kenpachi Zaraki, who is the closest thing she has to a father, as well as the rest of the 11th Gotei, which are her family. Even if she does torture them for her own joy, seemingly.

While it seems that many take care of her, she's easily able to get into and out of all sorts of trouble and antics all on her own. Her specialization in infiltration is considered unmatched, though she's only ever used it for her pranks. It does mean that she has tunnels that span the breadth and width of Seireitei; not even the 12th Divisions Labs or Byakushi's home is safe from her many, many tunnels.

It is rare, but she does have moments where she is serious and even sorrowful. As well as her earlier mentioned anger. These moments are indeed rare, but in them Yachiru shows a rather impressive intuition and understanding of what's exactly going on around her. She's also probably the only one who can accurately assume Kenpachi's thoughts.

B A C K G R O U N D

History/Background:

How the little pink haired girl came to be or what happened to her family or those taking care of her is unknown. The only thing that is known is that in the 79th Kusajichi District she was found. Approaching an unnamed warrior who had only just finished cutting down several foes. She approached him with a smile and touched his sword without fear. Even laughing and holding up her hand to the man who would one day be called Kenpachi Zaraki. Seeing the little girl, Kenpachi adopted her. Giving her the same surname he took, the district of their birth and the first name of Yachiru; professed to be the only person he ever respected.

From then on, it was a life of being perched on Kenpachi's left shoulder. Playing and laughing and coming to love the terrifying man that she didn't seem to be scared of at all. Indeed, even without his eyepatch his immense reiatsu never bothered Yachiru. In their search for a warrior strong enough to take Kenpachi down, the duo would come across Yumichika and Ikkaku. The resulting fight would ensure that Ikkaku would follow Kenpachi to hopefully someday die serving him.

When it became apparent they would not find anyone strong enough for Kenpachi, they would set off for Seireitei. Kenpachi Zaraki would slay the 11th Gotei Captain and become the Captain of the 11th District himself. Yachiru would become the fukutaichou and Ikkaku would become the 3rd Seated officer. Yumichika, too pretty for the 4th Seat, would take the 5th. Within the 11th Yachiru would find her family.

It was in those many years that she would get to thank Ichigo for making her Ken-Chan so happy in their fight. Yachiru's family would later help Ichigo by aiding Sado, Orihime and Uryuu by leading them to Ichigo to save Rukia. The resulting fight with Tousen and Komamura also brought Ken-Chan happiness and Yachiru thought the whole thing was a wonderful success.

She doesn't remember a whole lot about Hueco Mundo. Only fighting hollows and being tucked away by Kenpachi when the 'real fightin' started'. Though she was present for his fight with Nnoitra. Ken-chan had fun, but Yachiru didn't like him, much. Unhappy she couldn't watch, she mostly chased Hollow around; these Hollow ran pretty fast, too!

Since then? She's been on her Captain's shoulder getting them both lost in the pursuit of fights and sweets. Or showing up to Byakuchi's drawing classes to eat all the cakes and teas. Or bothering Icchy and Pineapple Head. Or seeing how many sweets she can get out of Ukitake's sleeves. Or having SWA meetings and having them do silly things or throw parties. Or going to Unohana's for the sweet buns she makes. Or going to Shunsui's to have tea and be a hook for him to get some ladies (she doesn't understand why). Or trying to get Kamamura to bark. Or any sorts of countless other things...don't give her any ideas, please.
