A Call Out to the Wolf Empty A Call Out to the Wolf

Damien rested atop one of the buildings as he'd made his return to the Gotei now. He'd tested their metal for a couple reasons but one came to mind. Tsukiya was something he needed to address now. The last Unabara member survived and something needed to be done. Ibiki needed to be called out to be informed she was a God Parent. That also Damien knew who'd done the deed that killed so many. They all knew of Tsubasa's passing against the Soan. Damien did in particular, though it was Tsubasa's own fault for fighting in that condition. Tsukiya was someone Damien had taught for a while and fought for the last couple years. To make sure he was properly educated on fighting a strong enemy. No better way for a boy to grow than to face someone stronger. He'd sent Ibiki his calling Card. How would she handle being a God Mother without being told? Tsubasa really was a snake in this regard of how he did things. Tsukiya's swordplay had been so tampered with he had to take practically a year to undo it.

But even with that somethings needed to be done. The Gotei had lost their strongest Noble Clan overnight. Damien needed to figure out what that boy would need. First strength was required in this situation. So another letter was sent out to Mirja to meet him here. He had some of her favorite beverage to discuss this matter. He wondered if she'd investigated his exploits or not. Realizing she fought a Kenpachi was likely an exciting prospect for the girl. Damien was a rather formidable warrior in his own right. But he suspected she would be interested in his pupil. Tsukiya needed someone capable with keen eyes. Who could see the world for what it truly was? This place didn't have that and Ibiki would be busy. Damien could protect from behind the scenes. But he suspected Ibiki would want something in return. He didn't know if she would ask him to return to wearing that Haori or not. For now, the goal was simple to wait to see what Mirja said to his request. She would likely have conditions as well.

Mirja, The Mad Wolf

A small while - probably, days mattered so little to the wolf - after the awesome fight that had drove her to desire more out of herself, and thus had prompted an intense training session were she ran around the Rukongai like a mad woman, aiming to get from the 1st distract to the 88th district in under an hour, Mirja got a letter. She hadn't managed the run yet, the distances were incredibly vast, but she would do it eventually, because she was Mirja, and Mirja could not comprehend the idea of giving up against herself or an opponent. Which was why she had been so driven to beat up the guy that turned out to be a Kenpachi.

And, as it turned out, the letter was from him, wanting to meet her and do Kenpachi stuff probably. He didn't really strike her as a guy who liked alcohol though, so when Mirja was putting together her food basket, she added in some of her sweet Halfyorjd. A potent drink made from honey, akin to a non-alcohol mead, something Mirja liked in small amounts because it was tantalizing, but too much was sickly, which made it a drink made for shot glasses even though it wasn't alcoholic.

There were some snacks as well, sandwiches and rice balls and some small fairy cakes. With that done, she set off running, reaching the Combat Squad barracks within a few minutes, and leaping onto one of the buildings that Damien was resting on. Powerful muscles sent her soaring skyward, but then she landed so delicately on a single toe, before placing the rest of her foot down and easing out her weight and the force of landing so she didn't crack anything.
"Hey~ I got your letter, brought snacks. Was it just because you so deeply missed my company?" She asked, in her teasing tone, the cute gray tail swishing softly behind her.

He sensed her presence but no hostile intent so merely opened his eyes to look at her. His frame sitting up slowly as he pulled a small tablet from his cloak. Within it held details on the annihilation fo the Unabara Clan. At the hands of two particular people and some cohorts. It was unknown to him the entire detail. But within it held details of exploits the Clan Leader had done. But for the most part, it confirmed the entire clan as deceased. "This is a report of the destruction of one Noble Family of the Gotei. But, what this report does not know is the survivor. My Grandson Tsukiya Unabara is quite alive I made sure of that." He said calmly as he held a cool look in his eyes. Damien hadn't fought her with the intent to kill out in the open. The person who met him while trying to harm his grandson after his daughter's demise. They were granted the image of a Kenpachi's fury. His nature wasn't so black and white to describe it. He let her take in what she wanted as he smirked at the picnic basket.

Sort of surprising the girl brought that with her. "While I can guard him rather easily that's not gonna help him get better..I fought against him for a couple years now. He's got a good spirit for a young one. But enough dodging around the point I suppose. The Unabara must be rebuilt, I don't know what designs he has for them. But Tsukiya is going to need someone to teach them Hakuda..Swordplay was all they were and they died for it." He said calmly as he knew his grandson didn't have that issue. He was a different kind of guy who didn't know when to give up. That was kind of admirable feat for him. Damien had his own goals to help his nephew rebuild. But something had to be done a time would come when those people would come back. Return to finish the job of killing off Tsubasa's line entirely. He didn't intend to let that go quietly without a struggle. So Damien would do something he'd been avoiding for a long time. It was time for him to learn his Shikokai to better prepare.

Damien had never bothered learning his final activation. This in a way made sense he believed only Ibiki would do as an enemy for him to train drawing it out. This was the favor he needed to ask of her from here. The question was what she'd want in return. But if they returned he needed to be prepared with perhaps a form, even more, devastating than anything else. The Clan would need Tsukiya to become more than what he was right now. He needed experience and Mirja had quite a bit they were both roughly in the ballpark he guessed of one another. Though she would likely hold an edge over him in combat experience. Fighting only a One Armed Guy for a while does kind of leave some experiences out. But he didn't doubt his grandson's potential either. The question was, what would Mirja want in return for his request.

Mirja, The Mad Wolf

Words and paper and numbers and buggerations. Damien haven't known Mirja for long, so didn't know her disdain for the past and for paper. She held what could be heard, and what could be seen with your own eyes over what someone else had written. But, the interesting thing was, Damien had a grandson. Mirja was all for taunting people that had grandsons, and so grinned broadly.
"Ohh, Kenpachi has been dipping his mighty sword in the sheath of innocent virgins huh? I never knew you were such a horndog. The Ten Thousand Sons of Damien are in the world looking for the greatest cup of tea in the universe" she exclaimed, waving her arms and moving about as if she was some sort of plane flying, excluding the noise. She was a stealth plane, after all.

However, the plane stopped when Damien finished his blathering and got to the point of her wanting to train his grandson in Hakuda. Clearly his grandson was not some amateur street fighter. Despite how soon Damien went for his sword in their duel, she could tell he was pretty well versed in hand-to-hand combat. So he needed someone specialized. But, why her?

"I don't know" She muttered, putting her arms down and sitting on the roof. "I'm not made to teach people, I'm made to kill people. And I would hate to kill, maim, cripple or otherwise permanently injure your grandson. I mean, you've fought me and you know roughly how strong slash fast slash destructive I am, and if you think your kiddo can handle it then I will certainly try, but I've never been comfortable training. A wrong step, a missed parry and we are not talking some bruising here" Mirja clenched her fist and stared at it, the same way a weary warrior would stare at his blood-soaked sword. "You don't bring a Wolf home so your family is comfortable around pets"

He chuckled a bit almost laughing at her to an extent. When he thought that was done he began laughing again before containing it slowly. " I wouldn't say I am feeding him to a Wolf, if his father, my daughter, and I ain't killed him yet." He said grinning a bit as he remembered the training that boy went through. He didn't have the typical upbringing that others did. His families were killers and military based. They didn't believe in happy childhoods till Tsubaki was around. But his Grandson didn't get to enjoy that as each step was a painful one forward. "I did throw him off a mountain to start his training." He said shrugging his shoulder a bit as he remembered doing so. The catch was the boy couldn't use anything but his own body to bring him back. For a novice, this was quite the challenge thrown down by Damien. "He's made of iron he'll survive I can promise that much." He said smirking a bit as he looked at the basket now.

She didn't quite know of Damien but womanizing was sort of a family trait. He did pretty well with the women especially those who found strong men with scars attractive. He'd not been able to say much beyond that."He'll be here soon, you can judge and make your own choice." He said before deciding to add something with a smile. "He turned the techniques I used against you into Hakuda techniques, so he's far from a beginner." He said to make her understand his Grandson's skills in the art form. She didn't know much about that clan. They were killers by nature his Grandson did lack that hard edge for the moment. But someday soon he would gain it and become more. He suspected the Gotei would make him create it. Make him grow into a warrior beyond the fathoming of most. Damien had high expectations for his Grandson and Mirja as she'd been fairly impressive in their fight.

Mirja, The Mad Wolf

Mirja couldn't help but feel a little sorry for this kid. Getting thrown off a mountain at the start of training seemed something that was not exactly a friendly move. Her training had never seen her get thrown off a mountian. Run up a few, certainly, but never thrown off one. So she sat down, picked a sandwich out of the basket, and devoured it voraciously. She wasn't exactly hungry, but she was in the mood to eat, so she ate.
"Well, adaptability is not something a novice can claim, regardless of how basic the techniques are. And your techniques are far from basic, so I guess he has some skill in the art of the fist" she allowed, leaning back on the roof for a few moments, before sitting back up and pouring some of the drink.

"Well, then I will be sure to test his mettle. I shall show him who I am and if he steps up then I shall respect his spirit, if not his body" She grinned broadly before knocking back the shot glass and letting out a satisfied noise. "Never had a student before. Well, there was Taichou but she doesn't count, it was only for like, a week or so and then shit happened" she exclaimed, looking into the sky. "Your promise that he will survive means a lot, I just hope it isn't said simply because you want it to be true. Your confidence in him means I don't need to see if he can handle me. I will simply jump into training with both feet and see if he can stay on his. Who knows, might even teach him my Tulpa if I like him enough" she finished, her tail swishing and her grin broad, showing her wolven fangs.
