Unohana's Unexpected Patient
Sat Jan 15, 2011 10:30 pm
It was currently break time for the division as Unohana sat with the division for lunch. As usual, Unohana was enjoying a meal that has a strong taste that she cooked herself. The passing week was harsh as there was an outbreak of training-related accidents coming from the Shinigami Academy. Usually, these cases was easily managed by the medic team stationed at the Academy, but since the accidents happened more frequently, the team there started to request help from her division to bring relief. What was going on in there? She does not know. She would have go there to investigate, but it is within the jurisdiction of the thirteenth division captain, so it would be insulting to intrude into one’s investigative rights to go there and find out for herself. The only way she could participate for now was to help her division treat the injured students and instructors.
A fourth division member looked at his captain with mild concerns for the future. He brought up a question regarding why the accidents are so frequent of all the times it could have happened. To put it straight, Unohana does not know unless she is there and remain calmed with little hint of worries.
(Unohana) “I’m afraid that I cannot answer that until otherwise. For now, we have to be prepared for more if necessary.”
(Member) “Understood, Captain Unohana.”
(Unohana’s Thoughts)“The students are getting reckless and not thought about the others who are at Earth fighting the Hollows and Arrancars. If it is not the students, then I don’t know what to make of these accidents. Kido misfires, backfires, ill-use of their zanpakuto and even unseen events. What was going on there?”
Unohana sipped her green tea while contemplating on that thought about the sudden increase in Academy-related accidents.

The sounds of multiple footsteps mixed together with loud yelling could be heard all throughout the 4th division as the arrival of Yoko Yuri Kuchiki was imminent. Not too long ago, she waged a long, hard and dirty battle against the Cero Espada's Guard down on Earth with a few allies. It was a long fight that ended up not to favorable for Yoko as far as her prime objective for being there was, but she was able to defeat the Guard with the help of our comrades before he escaped from her grasp. It ended in a great fit of rage Yoko that she left that cunning bastard escape from her grasp so easily and being tricked by him. If it wasn't for his quick escape, she would have ended his life then and there.
"CURSES! I HAD HIM RIGHT IN MY SIGHTS!"
The voice of Yoko screamed throughout the 4th division as she was being hauled throughout the many hallways on a stretcher by many Shinigami until she was eventually directed into a large hospital type room where they sat her down and began trying to heal the wicked burns on her feet, legs and thighs that she suffered during the fight along with a few bruises, scrapes and scratches scattered throughout her body and trying to calm her down emotionally. At the moment, yeah, she was in bad shape, but it was nothing the 4th squad could not have fixed. For now, all she was concerned about was killing The Cero Espada's Guard.
"HOW COULD I HAVE LET HIM GET AWAY LIKE THAT!? AFTER ALL THAT WORK, BLOOD AND SUFFERING! I WILL PUT AN END TO HIM WHEN I FIND HIM!"
The boiling hot intensity of a thousand white burning suns could describe the fury going on within Yoko's head. She let down her squad, she let down her clan, she let down Byakuya and she let down her friends. Those feelings were beginning to weigh down on Yoko as she grabbed her forehead with her right hand and gritted her teeth out of anger.
"When I'm back at full health, I will find him and finish my mission for the Gotei, my clan and Byakuya. I have not given up!"

Unohana heard the clamoring of the Snow Princess, Kuchiki Yoko going throughout the center and it snapped her attention to the Kuchiki going in by stretcher carried by a few shinigami. The injuries look bad and Unohana knows it is her duty to oversee her recovery. She followed the Kuchiki and when she was laid down on a medical bed, Unohana stood behind the Kuchiki. While the medics are healing her, the Kuchiki was raging. Unohana gently puts her hands on both sides of the Kuchiki’s head while leaving room for her ears to hear.
(Unohana) “Yoko Kuchiki, third seat of the sixth division. Calm down. Rest and let us heal you.”
(Yoko) “When I’m back at full health, I will find him and finish my mission for the Gotei, my clan and Byakuya. I have not given up!”
Mission? Him? Unohana assumed that she was after Captain Hitsugaya’s son, Rihiku, who defected from the Gotei 13. But the burns on her leg were done by fire while Rihiku does ice like his father does. Someone else was involved in her recent injury. What is going on? There is so much that Unohana does not know other than official orders and rumors.
(Unohana) “If you are injured like this the first time, the second would only be the same unless you get stronger or faster. Can you tell me what happened?”
Unohana remains calm and her voice was smooth and maternal as she was attempting to calm her down so she can be reasonable enough not to get her killed.
