(Not) A Normal Day [Open to anyone in the Gotei 13]

Prelude to Tears -- Zone of the Enders OST -- Flowing Destiny (Piano Arrangement)
What a normal day in Moscow. The birds chirped in the sky and flew through the clouds. In the outskirts of the city, a two children, a male and a female, sat on a broken wall. They were about thirteen, though they appeared to have no home training. Their clothes were nothing more than rags and their skin was covered in dusk. One took out a cigarette and attempted to light it with a match, though the rough wall didn't allow for the match to light. These kids probably didn't have parents, especially after the wars.
One looked at the other, their rugged appearances drew them closer to one another. The female smiled at the male before a gust of wind knocked her off. The male hopped off of the high wall to see if she was unhurt. However, she wasn't. Her head had landed on a fallen stone and had split the back of her skull open. She was still smiling as she fell, as if she knew that the boy's face would be the last thing she'd see. The boy kept shaking her body, saying in Russian, "Wake up...c'mon Ana...wake up...Stop joking around...come on...WAKE UP!"
It was pointless as she had died upon impact. The boy broke out in tears the size of his eyes. He stayed by her body as the clouds began to close in and darken the skies on an already dark day. His hand held onto her lifeless hand, both covered in dirt and soot. A single rain drop fell onto the boy's hand. He glanced up at the skies. As if he were saying to God for him to bring the girl back, he continued to stare. After hours of staring, the clouds parted. The boy thought of it as an act of God. But this was no work of God. A giant figure, almost in the shape of a cross, appeared overhead.

Prelude to Death -- Anubis: Zone of the Enders OST -- Phobos at Mars
The figure had two sharp edges on the arms of its cross-shaped body. The bottom was split almost as if the two protrusions were legs. It was the color of bone with what appeared to be red blood flowing like a circuit on the exterior. Of course, it was just electrical charges and not an actual liquid. In the center of the figure, there was a single orb. The orb was also colored like worn bone, though it had a single red dot in the center. The orb moved around like an eye, though it was clearly the head of the figure.
However, this wasn't the control system of the beast at all. Instead, its control network was spread throughout its body. However, even a computer system like this required some input. And that input came from the human standing atop the massive machine. His arms were crossed as he glared down at the city below him. His violet eyes shot a gaze that could shatter a normal man's will in the blink of an eye.
From beneath the frozen glacier to the north of the city, another figure emerged. It was almost a large jellyfish, though it was obviously more humanoid than animalistic. It had three large leg-like attachments extending from what could be called the waist. Much like the earlier figure, it had red energy pulses running in lines across the body. The only area that did not seem to have them was the large dome on the top of the figure. On each side of the figure, there were six arm-like appendeges. Each one had what appeared to be a blade with a small opening on the tip. Its appendages were deep red in color, as if they were made of muscular tissue. The dome on top was colored turquoise, though it was a dull turquoise.

In an instant, the man atop the first figure extended his right arm towards the city. Both figures turned towards the city. Moscow citizens looked at the skies as the first figure moved within visible range of their eyes. The Moscowan airbase was notified of the figure approaching the city and a few fighters prepared to scramble. As the pilots entered their MiGs, a red beam of unknown energy smashed into the base.
The beam immediately disentigrated the jets and half of the base. The origin of the unknown attack was the first cross-shaped figure's head. The base, or what was left of it, erupted into chaos. The soldiers tried to save as many people as they could from collapsed buildings while trying to send out the remaining fighters to deal with the unknown machine. As the city was put into lockdown so soldiers could easily move through, the second machine appeared above the city. It was roughly 145 meters tall, which is about 475 feet. The massive jellyfish-like figure then proved what its true purpose was.
The arms from the figure aimed upwards and the openings on the ends of the arms opened up. From each of the six arms, a ball of fire about 21 meters in diameter (68 feet) was formed. As the citizens of the capitol of Russia stared at the massive machine, the balls of fire shot out in a circle around the massive object. Any building in the path of the fire was immediately set ablaze. The fire burned hotter than normal, creating suspicion that it was fire assisted by napalm.
But this wasn't the case. The openings also began sprouting fire as if they were flamethrowers. The arms criss-crossed among one another, creating a wave of intense flames wherever it passed. The heat was enough to melt armored vehicles and to fry the people inside as if they were made of butter. The jellyfish-like machine slowly floated down the street, setting many building ablaze in a matter of seconds.
The man atop the first figure jumped down as he saw what appeared to be Japanese-style swordsmen. The man landed feet-first on the ground that was more than a mile away from the cross-like machine. As the Japanese-style swordsmen surrounded the man that descended from the heavens, he murmered something. In an instant, what appeared to be a ring of purple light hit all of the swordsmen. They were all sliced cleanly in half. Their bodies bled to where there was nearly no blood left before they turned into blue particles and floated into the air. This was the beginning...
Of Genocide.
