Personality: Hayase very open, friendly and caring person by nature. He will make time to help others he considers to be friends with when they need him. The fact Hayase is very open about things has lead others to feel that he can be outspoken at times. Even at moments where it is not the best time he will state his opinion about a topic. Hayase is what some would consider blindly loyal to those he trusts. Hayase is quick to trust other but to those that break his trust find that he will almost never forgive them for it. Hayase is outgoing he would often be the first to volunteer for an assignment not matter the task that it required. Hayase has a strong sense of justice this tends to put him in positions that put his life at risk for the sake of others. Hayase can at times be heard talking to himself while it is not himself he is talking to as it may appear to others that witness it. Others that witness this and ask him about it often are told he was just thinking out loud.

Hayase has spikey medium length reddish hair. His eyes are red like his hair but just a shade darker. Hayase has a muscular build. Hayase has three scars one on the right of his neck by his collar bone. Another is on his lower part of his stomach and the last one is on the top of his right hand near his wrist.

Shikai Abilities:
Shatter- Shatter is the command given to Saisho after release to active its main ability. This causes Saisho to “explode” into a cloud of metal particles. Saisho can this reform as another weapon or a piece of armor. The size of the new weapons or armor can not be of greater mass then that of the two large daggers of Saisho’s release. Common forms that Hayase calls on are a Katana, a Spear, and a Scythe.
Saisho is also able to release blasts of spirit energy in each of its various forms.

Inner Hollow Description: Hayase’s inner hollow is known as Fenrir. Fenrir appear as a large humanoid wolf standing about 8 to 9 feet tall.

Inner Hollow Personality: Despite Fenrir’s appearance he is not a ruthless nor mindless killer. He is in fact a calm and calculating predator that if given the chance will injury his prey and wait for other to come to help them, then strike on them all. Fenrir can at time disagree with how Hayase does thing. A good example of this is that he does not approve of the fact that Hayase feels compelled to send every soul that he finds to the Soul Society rather than keep it around as bait for them to track down another hollow from. From time to time Fenrir will voice his disapprove to Hayase and even go as far to take control of a limb and complete the task himself. After being feed Fenrir becomes somewhat lazy thus allowing Hayase to lead a much more normal life. But once the time for the next feeding comes around Fenrir becomes restless and begins to pester Hayase to begin looking for his next meal.

Enhanced Speed-Enhanced Strength- Due to the fact that Hayase does not have true control of Fenrir he only gains enhanced speed and strength.
Hollow Arm Manifestation- Due to the odd nature in which Hayase “controls” his inner hollow he has the ability to manifest Fenrir’s right arm on to his. He does this Fenrir can absorb a doomed soul. This does not increase Hayase’s or Fenrir’s powers in anyway. The arm disappears once the “feeding” is complete. (see history for more information.)

Background/Roleplay Sample

Background:
Life as a Human:
Hayase was born January 10th 1210 in Kyoto Japan to Shiro and Yuriko Kazahara. Hayase’s father Shiro worked as a steward for Shogun Minamoto Yoritomo. It was this position that his father held that allowed his family to live a very nice life style. At age 4 Hayase’s sister Ayane was born. At age 6 Hayase’s father hired a Ronin named Tsuka Fujiwara to train Hayase in the art of the sword so that he may one day enter service to the shogunate. For the next 12 years Hayase trained with Tsuka for many hours. Working on everything from basic stances to advanced techniques. At age 18 Hayase entered service to the shogunate as a subordinate of the local constable. Hayase’s duties mainly consisted of him working as a town guard. At age 20 a rival of his father’s made some false claims against Hayase’s father stating that he was stealing local tax money. Without any proof to defend himself with the Shogun ordered that Hayase’s family be taken into custody. But the rival of Hayase’s father had hired a man to murder Hayase and his family.
That night as they all slept the assassin snuck into the house and began to kill off his family staring with his father who he was able to take care of without a problem. When trying to deal with Hayase’s mother the first strike did not kill her waking her causing her to scream. Hayase awoken by the screaming grabbed his sword and raced to the sound only to find a man standing over his mother’s lifeless body. Hayase drew his sword as the man stepped out of the shadows to reveal that it was Tsuka the man that had trained him. Without thinking Hayase attacked the man in anger. The two fought for several minutes. Eventually making their way into Ayane’s room. Desperate to end the fight to save his sister. Hayase made one final charge at Tsuka. Tsuke drove his blade into Hayase’s stomach as Hayase drove his into the side of Tsuka’s neck. Both fell to the ground bleeding to death. A servant to the family rushed on the room once the sound of fighting had stopped. Hayase with his last word instructed the servant to take his sister far from their family home in fear of others coming to finish the job.

Entering the Soul Society and the Gotei 13:
Hayase followed his sister for 10 years after his death. Watching her move on in her life without her family. He watched as she married and started a family. One day a hollow attack Hayase. A shinigami appeared and killed the hollow. The shinigami then sent Hayase to the Soul Society. After being there for a short time Hayase learned of the Soul Academy. He quickly applied to enter and after a basic skills test was accepted. After four year at the academy Hayase graduated fourth in his class. After graduation Hayase was asked to join Squad 8. Hayase proved himself to a very capable member within the squad often offering to jobs others would pass on to new and lower members of the unit. It was this type of attitude that made it so Hayase quickly became a seated officer. Over the period of 842 years within Squad 8 Hayase made his way up the ranks to become the 3rd seat. He held this position for 302 years. All the way up until he departed the Soul Society and the Gotei 13.

Hollowfication and Exile from the Soul Society:
During a mission that Hayase and a few other volunteered for. They encounter a especially strong hollow it quickly killed the other 4 men that came with Hayase. Hayase being the only one left the hollow attempted to possess his body. This attempt at possession broke the inner barrier that held Hayase’s inner hollow. It was this break that stopped the hollow from possessing Hayase’s body. As Hayase’s inner hollow awoke it began to take over control of his arm transforming it into a large muscular claw. Hayase now under the his hollow attacked the hollow injuring it greatly. Rather than just finish it off Hayase’s hollow dug his arm deep into the head of the hollow. Within a few moments the hollow began to glow a light blue as it began to desolve into nothingness. Once the hollow had disappeared the hollowified arm on Hayase also disappeared. Now a deep voice from within Hayase spoke two words. “You’re Welcome.”
Hayase having been informed about the “Vizard” and their “Inner Hollows” could only to begin to believe that he was becoming one due to the event with the hollow that attempted to possess him. He also knew that while the Gotei was not hunting then nor did they see them as enemies. They were not exactly wanted within the Soul Society. His only choice was exile to the human world. It took Hayase 2 years to make all his preparation for his exile. Hayase volunteered for another mission in the human world. Once the mission was complete he sent the men that he brought with him back to the soul society and then close the portal behind them. Hayase then entered a Gigai that he had acquired sometime ago.

Life after Exile to current:
Hayase has adjusted well to life outside the Soul Society. He has been able to avoid those sent to look for him with the help of a pendant that make it hard of other to track it spirit energy. During the 22 years since Hayase has left the Gotei 13. He has learned his inner hollow is called Fenrir. He and Fenrir have come to a odd agreement that allowes them to co-exist without fear of Fenrir trying to takeover Hayase’s body. Every 90 days Hayase tracks down a hollow. Hayase will then disable the hollow and then summon the arm of Fenrir. Fenrir with control over this arm absorbs the hollow into itself. Once the absorption is complete the hollowified arm disappears. This act does not seem to increase Hayase nor Fenrir’s powers it just keeps Fenrir calm and allowes Hayase to call out his hollow mask. (This act does not increase my powers in any way it is just something I thought would be fun to roleplay) While this has kept Fenrir under some kind control, he would like to find a better way to do so other then hunting hollows.


Role Play Sample:
Hayase kneeled on the edge of a building the cold rain falling on his head the sound of thunder could be heard off in the distance. Hayase’s eyes followed the soul of a young boy as he ran down the street. A loud roar could be heard coming from behind the boy. Hayase left sorry for the poor boy. He wanted to jump down right way and kill the hollow that was no doubt chasing him in hopes of making him a meal. Hayase could feel Fenrir’s anticipation for what was going to happen next. Fenrir’s voice popped up in the back of Hayase’s mind. “Get ready it is coming.” Hayase nodded as he replied. “I know, I have done with before.” Fenrir let out a growl in Hayase’s mind. Hayase stood up and took a single step off the edge of the building. Falling toward the ground hayase could now see the Hollow chasing the boy. Hayase pulled his Zanpakuto from its sheath. Holding it in both hands. “Strike at my Enemies! Saisho!” Hayase then pulled his hands apart revealing to rather large daggers. Hayase spun them around his index fingers catching the hilts once the blade were points downward.

Hayase watched as the Hollow below him stopped and looked up at him. “Big mistake buddy!” Hayase said as his feet met the hollows back. Hayase then swung his arm in a long sweeping motion from the front of the Hollow to the back on it. Cutting off two of its four limbs in the process. Hayase quickly threw his two daggers into the remaining two limbs. The Hollow roared in pain as it began to thrash around. Hayase looked at his right hand white form began to quickly cover it. Forming Fenrir’s hollow arm. Hayase then thrusted his hand into the mask of the Hollow causing it to stop moving. “Do it Quickly Fenrir.” Within a moment the Hollow began to glow a light blue as it began to dissolve into nothingness. Hayase watched as his arm returned to normal. He rubbed his hand flexing it a few times.

Hayase then turned to walk away only to have the young boy standing in front of him. The boy looked down at the ground. “Thank you mister.” Hayase placed his hand atop the boys head. “Don’t worry about it. But this is not the place for you. So I will send you to the next world.” The boy looked up at Hayase as to say something. But was met with the end of Hayase’s Zanpakuto. The boy began to glow and transform into a butterfly which quickly fluttered off. “That was not needed Hayase. We could have used him again.” Fenrir growled in disapproval. “You know the drill Fenrir. We save each one that we have to use like this. Now do not bring it up again.” Hayase snapped as he walked down the street to a nearby alleyway. Their sat a black motorcycle. Hayase sat down on the bike, turned the key and drove off down the street.
