Breaking More Than The Mind [Mirja/ASK TO JOIN ONLY]

Henrex Astillon The Broken Raven Descend Into Darkness Nighttime. It was a time where crickets chirped, and where fireflies lit up the night. However, there was neither of those in these lands of the forgotten. Instead, the cries of Hollows echoed throughout the Wastelands, and the flashing of Ceros lit up the night with fear being placed in many who came looking to travel in this place. However, it send no shivers of fear down Henrex's spine. In fact, he was perfectly calm. Sitting cross-legged in the middle of these desolate, desert-like plains. In his lap sat a long strip of metal that was covered by the wooden scabbard that hid the blade of his Zanpakutō. The weapon did not lay in his hands, however. No, that would be the bamboo flute that he currently was playing, the languid notes of Shika No Tone flowing out into the miles and miles of emptiness. The music was what blocked out the sounds around him that he found annoying. Such as the constant sound of the Ceros colliding with the ground, causing a small tremor in the earth on occasion. Or the constant screaming of the Hollows. Well, that was why he always had his flute on him, playing the music in order to practice the art of "blowing Zen". A skill that Soke, his ninja grand-master taught him, it often helped aid with his meditation sessions. While this was something he was doing to keep the annoying noises out of his ears, but also to pass the time. He was waiting for someone. The wolf girl Mirja Eeola. He had requested that she had come meet him out here to train with him. In what? Well, anything. He wasn't sure as of then what he wanted to train in, but either way, he was going to do it. So, here he was. Playing a shakuhachi, dressed as a ninja that were outdated by hundreds of years, in the middle of nowhere, waiting for a wolf that had nearly gone mad that would train him and probably beat him to near death on accident in the process. Today...was looking forward to be an interesting day. However, one thing had to be taken care of first. A spiritual pressure that was approaching. It was weak, but it still had a little bit of power behind it. A Hollow. Gillian. A simple opponent. So, the boy slowly rose to his feet, before his hand drifted to his side, and in one fluid and swift movement, his weapon was removed from the sheath, and exposed to the icy night air. Three black rings formed around the weapon, and soon the energy rings that had been created with the unsheathing of the sword split apart, turning into multiple pitch black orbs. Raising his other hand from his side, he would press his thumb to his middle finger, then snapping his fingers, sending two of the orbs floating in front of him, before they would take the shape of two large greatswords, then launching themselves at the Hollow's mask.
The white object cracked the moment that the sharp tip of the blades met with the mask. Soon, the blades became impaled in the Hollow's face, and dissipated mere moments later into the night. Dust swirled around the ankles of the Hybrid, and he gently sighed as the Hollow's essence traveled through the Soul Cycle, and into the Soul Society. Another soul put to peace. But now, he would have to wait for Mirja to arrive. |

Mirja, The Mad Wolf
Mirja was in the waste lands for a strange reason. Apparently she had been called out by the kill-stealing, broodlord that was Henrex. Sure, Iko sort of liked him and so she was going to be nice, but he was still kind of irritating to her. Still, she had to take responsibility for her actions. She could have just put him out of his misery in the Soul Society, but she sent him to Arianda to get himself trained. And now the request for more training came. Well, she'd help, and she wouldn't be gentle about it either, not in any way. She wasn't entirely sure if she was planning to break his face, or his bones, or anything else that he might consider important - like maybe the family jewels - but she knew she was going to beat him up and call it training. Probably the same as what Arianda did, Henrex just inspired a desire to pummel him into the ground. But then, maybe she could get him off that track?
Approaching where she sensed overwhelming levels of woe-is-me drama, she saw a Gillian moving in on Henrex's position. This was perfect, a chance for revenge! So she waited for the perfect opportunity, and then launched herself at him, ready to smash it's face in, with a mighty kick, and send it into the cycle of souls, while also messing with Henrex and stealing his kill like he did to her so long ago. Unfortunately, the Hollow died before she could make contact, and that left her rocketing towards Henrex with an outstretched foot, ready to kick. And Henrex's face seemed to be the target for this colossal devastation. Ahh,well. Training had to start some time, so what better time than right now.

Henrex Astillon The Broken Raven Descend Into Darkness ".....Why....do I feel pity....for that Hollow...." The male muttered to himself, as his sword began to drift towards the sheath that lay in his hand. His eyes narrowed in annoyance at himself, but yet still the smallest bit of sorrow. Why was he feeling something like this now? It was pointless. His main duty as a Shinigami was to purge the sinister souls that were Hollows. However, this Hollow, even if it was a Gillian, had made him feel a small shred of pity towards what he was meant to combat. Closing his eyes, he gently shook his head and cleared his mind of such thoughts, and then his eyes opened to see a foot closing in on his face. Quickly acting, his body would move to the side, avoiding the kick and allowing Mirja to skid past him. A sudden gust of air blasted by his face, causing his scarf to flutter in the sudden burst of wind, and his hair to flare up. As the wolf girl would land on the ground, Henrex would quickly shake his head, causing his hair to return to the normal look, before looking into her eyes, his twin, pitch black eyes seeming to bore a hole in the girl's eyes. A quick breath from his lips, and he slowly took a couple steps towards Mirja, before speaking. "....It seems that....you got my message. If I'm being honest....I didn't think you would show up." He said quietly, his hand resting on the pommel of his sword. Drawing the weapon once again, his Zanpakutō would simply be held aloft, his hand gripping the hilt extremely tight, and his eyes slowly began to close. "Pierce the heart, and sever the soul, Chiya." The brief statement came from the male, and for a moment, the entire Wastelands grew quiet. But then, the sound of energy releasing and shooting outwards in the form of spiritual pressure, the Shikai of Henrex unleashed a mildly powerful blast of spiritual pressure, and the small area that Henrex and Mirja were in would suddenly grow dim, and the katana that Henrex held above his head would change it's form. The weapon extended, the colors of the blade and hilt turning the color around them. Pitch black. As the end of the blade of the katana bent and curved, forming the scythe that was his Shikai, and the protrusions that came with it ejected from the hilt, Henrex allowed the weapon's weight to pull his arm down, causing the weapon to slam down into the ground. The dimness of the area slowly began to lift, and Henrex's gaze turned towards the massive weapon that his Zanpakutō had become with this first release of power. "....This....is my Shikai. The reason....I asked you to come out here....is so that I can....obtain my Bankai..." Henrex said, his eyes slowly closing. Lifting the weapon from the ground and onto his shoulder, Henrex would continue. "I want you....to drive me....to my limits. Just....don't...kill me." Henrex explained, before removing his weapon from his shoulder, gripping it with both of his hands, and sliding his right foot backwards. Closing his eyes, he would speak "I have to break my limits....to find what I seek..." He whispered, before opening his eyes again, awaiting for Mirja to attack. "You may attack....when you are ready." |

Mirja, The Mad Wolf
He was quick, Mirja would give him that. And it was pretty interesting to see. Beyond his moaning and his complaining and his 'boo hoo my family is dead' bullshit. She flicked out her hair, growing to be shoulder length now rather than sitting raggedly around her neck, and smirked.
"Of course I'd come to help you. I love helping people. It's like the only pleasure I get in this world these days. So, what'cha need?" She asked, before watching Henrex release his Shikai. It was interesting, pretty flashy and pretty wow, which conflicted with her opinion of Henrex. Something that was rather carved in stone these days and probably would never change.
But then, he made Mirja break down into hysterical laughter. So much so that her eyes welled up and her knees buckled and she was on the ground, filling the air with laughter louder than most people would be able to produce. Eventually, after quite a while, she recovered, stopped her hysterics, and looked up from the ground at Henrex, still giggling softly to herself.
"Don't kill you? Kiddo, what part of me ever made you think that restraint was a thing I did?" she asked, getting up off the floor and brushing herself off, still laughing in a half-repressed manner. "Seriously, I don't hold back. You would die. And this is not a 'you might die' or 'you could die' or a 'there is a possibility of you dying'. This is a solid, immutable fact. So, you should probably find someone else to teach you. What about Ari? You two have a falling out when she finally got you into bed and saw the compact pistol you are hiding in your pants?" She teased, looking out to the wastelands and smiling to herself. Bankai training, indeed.
