The call had come in about a city in complete chaos and of course Khun being the great hero he was answered as quickly as he could, without hearing the entire situation. Surely there would be awesomely heroic stories to tell the ladies when he got home. All the girls loved the hero right? Of course this was NOT what Khun had thought he was signing up for. when he got there it was easy enough to see the city was in trouble between the rising smoke, orange glow of the fires, the screams of terror and pain yeah the city pretty much looked like a friggin warzone had dropped on it. Kuhn headed toward the north side of the windy city thinking start at the top and work down. It was right around there that Kuhn's life basically became the WORST kind of horror movie.
Sure it started off simple enough he created his handy dandy weapon and using some tempest blasts managed to blow up some small fires, he knew better then to use it on something big. He heard screams down the street and saw people running, or were they chasing. Looking at the situation he found that a couple was running away with half a dozen chasing them not to far behind. He jumped onto a fire escape and aimed his next tempest at the chasing group the wind blasting them off their feet. The couple kept running on and he leaped down for some clues as to why half a dozen guys would be after them. He was expecting them to stay down for a while most nonsupernaturally powered humans would. Of when he got close to them they started groaning and getting back up some with stuff broken though from the blast or not he couldn't tell. The blank look in their eyes the bloodied up faces and injuries......did he really walk into an actual real life zombie situation. Just his luck, and with that Kuhn was on the move again.
Kuhn wasn't overly worried he could keep ahead of zombies well enough. He was quick on his feet and had a weapon with virtually unlimited ammo and a range of bullet types. The issue was there were MILLIONS of people in the city and he would get overwhelmed if he stayed put to long. Before long he saw more of them, whole mobs moving through the streets. And of course being mister hero he didn't want to actually hurt any of them. There could be some way of fixing this mess without killing people right? So he aimed his shots towards legs and nonvital parts slowing them down hopefully incapacitating them completely but there were always more showing up. He made the decision to get off street level using his Hirenkyaku made it relatively easy to move up to the roofs which didn't make the zombie hoards very happy but it was for their own good. He was sure that if they fixed them they wouldn't be happy to know they ate somebody. He was also particular about not being eaten.

Henrex Astillon The Broken Raven Descend Into Darkness | Artist: Kill la Kill OST | Song: Uzu Sanageyama Theme | Word Count: 707 | Everything was going downhill. First the Moon, then the Vastime events, then...this. Zombies. This was interesting, but was also getting tiresome. Hence why the black clad figure standing on the building above the mayhem let out a quiet sigh. The purple scarf gently flowed within the wind, with his twin black eyes staring down the events that were occurring beneath him. It was a massacre. Infected fighting against the living, blood splattering the streets, buildings, and lampposts. It was not something that someone who had nothing to protect himself would want to find themselves in. So, with that, Henrex leaped off the roof of which he was standing, with multiple things happening because of it. First of all, two blacks wings would appear from his back, just in between his shoulder blades. Pressing against his body, the wings only served to keep his speed up. With his left hand reaching into his outfit, he pulled out six throwing stars, before ten black orbs would appear around him, mimicking the shape of the throwing stars, but they were much more deadly than the ones that Henrex held in his hands. They were made from tempered steel. They were....well, basic throwing weapons. The ones that were materialized around him were made from energy. While the energy could be seen as a much weaker source to create a weapon from, they were covered with hundreds of layers of energy, giving them not only immense sharpness, but also immense durability. As he descended, Henrex's eye flicked to the sword at his side. His mind went into overdrive, formulating a plan quickly and the grip on the steel stars tightened. He had to be precise. He couldn't afford a single mistake. So, the moment his body began to close in on the ground beneath him, his arms flicked outward, sending the shining stars flying through the air, piercing multiple areas of any zombies around him. His body righted itself, before landing on the ground, his hand reaching for his sword and drawing it, rings of purple and black energy flowing around the blade, before the throwing stars that hung around his body launched themselves at the "undead", piercing their throats, arms, and other limbs that would normally keep a person alive. While it did injure them, he knew that there was only one way to kill them. Get rid of the head, or the brain. So, with that, more star flew from Henrex's body, aimed for the heads of the creatures that threatened not only his life, but the lives of the others that were here, including the Quincy nearby. Yes, he could tell that this person was a Quincy. The energy type signature of the male that was his comrade in this was very distinct in terms of racial diversity. So, Henrex knew that this might be a little bit more difficult than he thought, considering what one of his twin races were. But, that would have to be put aside from something like this. Twisting his sword backwards, Henrex quickly slashed off the head of a quieter zombie that was aiming to sneak up on him. However, it brought him the smallest tinge of sadness to end life so mercilessly like this. While there were other methods of getting rid of this, Henrex, currently, had no way to cure them. All he could think of right now was to kill them. So, that is what he did. Turning towards the Quincy, Henrex quickly utilized his flash step skill to move forwards towards him. However, he didn't just leave the zombies alone. In the midst of his "stepping", he decided to attack while in the middle of his flash step. Doing so would result in attacks "mysteriously" appearing on their skin, which were mainly aimed at the tendons in the arms and legs of the creatures. So, by severing them, he hoped to restrict all movement from the ones that he had attacked. As his movement came to a stop, his back faced the Quincy, with his sword in one hand, and throwing stars in the other. "....You're a Quincy. That will most likely make this difficult, seeing as I'm part Shinigami. But we must work together to get this done. Are you with me, or against me?" |

ENTER THE DEPTHS
Artist: Mogeko Castle - Song: N/A - Word Count: N/A
”..What is this?..”
These days it seemed that confusion and concern was an everyday occurrence for the elect of the vandenreich. Even here deep within enemy territory the elect was greeted with a stench of rotting flesh that made her want to hurl, even from her position floating in the sky on a hardened platform of energy that was just about the same height as mid-sized skyscrapers. Below was chaos, the unliving devouring the flesh of normal humans, screams resounded everywhere. Plumes of smoke seemed to be wafting out of broken windows from skyscrapers, and even though the elect saved lives. Even though she did not want to harm people, she simply couldn’t allow such a menace to spread. Since every person and their grandmother realistically had heard of tales of the undying, the dead that walked. Not immortal but creatures that reincarnated into a rotting corpse, with the desire to eat, to spread the very infection that caused their own mutations. So what would she do? It was simple, unlike most quincy her bow came in many forms.
For now though she’d settle on an AOE class bow, known as the comet of decay. The blue light of the bow forming around her arm while she pulled the bow back, the single arrow glowing brighter and brighter until eventually it would shine like a star. From there energy would disperse into a thousand arrows that would whip down the street, taking out creatures which would fall, the undead and the infected would become culled to only leave the empty husks as remnants. She disliked the killing, the senseless carnage that was left in the wake of conflict, but there simply was no alternative when faced with tough situations, in which the only answer was to fight. So she had exhaled afterwards and allowed her eyes to close, from there she imagined that around her was a thin line of reishi, a tendril that would allow her some insight into the world around her, this let her get an idea for how many enemies seemed to be around her.
Afterwards she opened her eyes, and let the hardened reishi simply fall away, Her body hurdling towards the ground until beneath her feet she formed a stream of reishi , one that allowed her to right herself at the last second, skimming across pavement, until she got to the position of the other two reishi signatures. Both seemed familiar, but for now she knew one of them more than the other. It seemed one of her subordinates had come to quell the menace that lurked within these streets. So as she raised her hand and splayed her fingers forming a wall of reishi in her minds eye that she then propelled down the street, pushing zombies back farther and farther until they lay in a heap roughly two blocks away, a mountain of both living and dead bodies that had become so entangled that they simply couldn’t escape. Then she would have said to Kuhn in a calm, authoritative voice.
”..Kuhn, mind giving me a status update on what’s going on here?”
It was direct and to the point, as this wasn’t a situation that the elect of the vandenreich could beat around the bush with fancy banter. Instead she knocked another arrow, her p-the power glowing as it shifted up from P-20 to P-50, the reishi becoming dense and silver around her form, expanding upwards of a mile, the quincy in the vicinity would begin to see the immediate benefits that stemmed from the immensely condensed energy. While at least for the moment the quincy had also erected a box of energy around her, henrex, and kuhn, giving them a momentary reprieve from the endless waves of living dead that continued to seek nothing less than their lives, their body for sustenance, and to continue spreading the infection.

Closing in on the city, there were feelings of nervousness, fear, pain, and agony all around her. Some of the feelings stemmed from the Soldat following her, although the great majority stemmed from a city that had witnessed calamity, ruin and death all at once. Chicago. For the last week, the nearby areas stopped communicating with the outside, and there seemed to be recurrent rumors about uprisings, riots, and a total disregard for the law and the order. When it became publicly known that the unruly behavior originated not out of a social non conformance but rather out of a disease plaguing the inhabitants, Sofia was forced to step in. From the reports, the citizens displayed a mindless rage and uncoordinated movements that were erratic in nature. Their drive was intent not on selfless survival but rather on feeding. Though it was difficult to discern, the citizens appeared to be dead, despite still being able to move. Their hunger however was driven entirely for those full of life or spiritual energy. Of course, as usual, it was humans who took the majority of the damage. While there could have certainly been other races caught in the crossfire of the disease, reports indicated that the zombies were predominantly human. In order to appease the hungering existence of those that no longer lived, and in order to preserve human life, the Quincy would step in. The Jagdarmee had the sworn duty to protect the Vandenreich and by extent the humanity they tried to preserve. The infection could not be allowed to run rampant any longer. And while there had certainly been earlier incursions into the city, some of which were of her kind, Sofia was finally there, to put an end to living dead, and the madness they created.
“Everyone ready on my command.”
The Jagdarmee had arrived at the North sector as it was not only highly populated but Sofia had also sensed others of her kind within the boundaries. While exterminating the infection and saving human lives was of utmost importance, aiding her kind was paramount.
“Zombies,” she would utter in a near whispering tone, almost as if speaking to herself. From one of her packs, she would retrieve a couple of Ginto tubes and empty them right in front of her while uttering the chant, “Captura los pecadores, Faltur.”
As soon as she had made her chant, a large Quincy cross made of reiryoku, almost as big as her was created. Just as the cross was made, it would fire itself off in the direction of a group of zombies. Before impact however, the cross would split into five much smaller Quincy crosses, connected by net of strong reishi that resembled a pentacle in shape. The crossed would ultimately hit right outside the boundary of the zombie horde, causing them to be caught within the area of her reishi net. Through her own will however, the net would glow strongly as it seemed to get sharper and start to dig and cut through the seemingly decomposing flesh of the beings. Despite being cut and lacerated in several areas, and even dismembered, the living dead did not stop until their head or the brain was cut deeply enough to impair function to the latter. With a grin, Sofia would look on amused at the answer to their question. Just like in the movies… she thought to herself before turning to look at her men.
“Move forward. Aim for the brain, chop the head clean, and avoid being bitten. Stay in groups, and call for backup if needed. Go!”
Not a second after giving her command, the group would have left obediently. Sofia had other plans for herself however. While she would make sure not depart too far from her location to avoid limiting her ability to extend aid to her men, she was intent on reaching out to the Quincy already present in the city. One of the spiritual signals was very clearly The Elect. Though surely needing no help, she would meet her nonetheless, to present her aid. And so, summoning her geigenbogen and hardening the reishi around it to be used a a sword, she would pair it with one of her seele schneider. There seemed to be the most subtle of smiles on her expression, almost as if she had been looking for an excuse to test out new, and more refined artistic ways to employ her blades. With a jump, she would push through the horde of zombies, twirling and slashing as she cut her way towards her people. The race was on, and the tempo was perfect for the melody she was surely to play through her artistically driven combat style.
