Seika is a woman who wears her heart on her sleeve; though she's far from being a very 'mushy' type of person. She has a fierce love of gambling, fighting, drinking and simply living life. It stems much from her life in the 78th District; where no merc was expected or given and any day could be the last you live. A brutish attitude and very quick to defend her honor and pride.

Since she awoke within the Rukongai, she's treasured stories of warriors of great strengths and unsurpassed skill. And not just those of the Shinigami, either. Wonderful battles and great honor fought for and beating insurmountable odds. One such story was of a man who held no name. Who cut his way through Rukongai and then through Seireitei. Kenpachi Zaraki, he was known in later years. She has a scroll that depicts some of his bloodiest conquests.

Appearance:

Seika stands 5'7" and weighs 145 lbs. She has large, shapely breasts, though she is not as impressive in bust as Matsumoto by any means. Her figure is slender, and athletic as she keeps herself ready for combat Realizing that it is better to be prepared than caught off guard and never without a sparring partner.

Her hair is long, and an odd shade of ash white. Her forehead is covered by jagged bangs, but other than that her hair falls almost as it may in front of her ear, over her ear, etc. Her hair is long enough to reach her mid-thigh, easily but often held back into a tight braid.

She has odd, sharp yellow eyes and these eyes are usually quite expressive, but usually graced with a defiant feel when one looks into them.

Wearing the standard Shinigami uniform, however, she prefers a gambler's style with her left arm completely out of her shihakushou which would expose at least one breast if it were not for the sarashi that is wrapped around her torso tightly and even most of her upper left arm.

She wears her Zanpauto in one of three positions, depending on her mood, either at the small of her back in a ninja-esque style, or at her right side in a traditional manner. Sometimes she'll carry her sword by the chord wrapped about the scabbard.

Seika is left-handed.

Name: Kuufuku na Urufu (Hungry Wolf)

The Hidden Wolf. This is when Urufu is barred within the cave of her Inner Mind. Restrained and whispering, only the flash of blood red eyes and the glimpse of teeth the sign of the monster within the shadows.

Insulting and degrading to Seika as it feels she is not strong enough to properly wield him. It is the embodiment of blood lust and wants nothing more than for Seika to become a berserker leaving behind fields painted red.

Her inner world is a strange looking forest. The bark of the trees is a glowing white and the leaves are a suffocating black. At the heart of the forest is a massive rock cave jutting out of the earth. It's entrance shrouded in a thick shadow that is more opaque than true 'shadow'.

Sealed Zanpakutô :

Unrealeased the blades appears to resemble a normal katana (2' in length) with no defining features save an oddly curved tsuba (curved as if to protect the hand) as well as the sheath being a near-black dark red hue.

Shikai Description:

The tsuba of the blade melts down over Seika's hand and reforms to look like a gripping wolf's paw. The blade lengthens by 2' (now a 4' blade) and carries a red tint to the blade's actual surface.

Shikai Abilities:

Kiraa Urufu: (Passive) With the Wolf called forward, it offers her some part of itself. Her Killing Aura spikes and immediately marks her as a threat to those around her. Because of this her blade's edge becomes intensely sharp. The blade seems eager to shed blood.

Zankoku no Urufu: The Brutal Wolf is the true purpose of her Shikai. She willingly calls Urufu to reside just beneath her skin and help her attain the power she needs to stand on even ground with the one she faces. She can call the Brutal Wolf to certain parts of her body; shoulders, arms, legs and as she does so the Wolf bites that skin from within to offer up it's strength to her. Sadly, these bites and scratches show on Seika's flesh, ripped and torn just before the bout of strength or speed. This ability essentially allows Seika to push her strength and speed beyond her own capability to withstand. Making it close to impossible to judge just how powerful she will come at an opponent.

She must be cautious, as she can misjudge how much she needs and do herself damage in a fight beyond what she requires. Giving her opponent an advantage due to her injury. At the very maximum of Zankoku no Urufu Seika can push herself four times her own strength and speed, but her limbs are rendered useless due to the massive extensive damage she receives.

History/Background:

What was of her life before Rukongai was long washed away with the Spirit Burial that allowed her to come here. A girl, barely within her teens came to reside in one of the furthest districts of Rukonagi. The 78th District.

Her life from that point on was a fight and a harsh one. She was forced to fight for everything; clothing, a place to sleep, to keep from being prey of the rest of the spirits. She fought until the ideal of fighting sang in her blood, offering her a blood thirst that she wondered if she ever had in life. It gave birth to her obsession with the famous and infamous warriors of Soul Society. Including one who bore no name.

It was in these many, long years of her existence that she began to feel a second part of her, a part of her that loved the flow of blood and the carnage of killing. Her blood lust had taken form in a whisper that she couldn't quite make the words but could hear. It suited her well and that 'hunger' helped her keep in line a gambling den she started.

Hunger consumed her as she began to need to eat and while she didn't understand it fully at the time, it was her soul requiring more spirit energy to keep going. She was indeed growing stronger and just the spirit energy around her was no longer able to sustain her. It was during this time that she witnessed a power she'd not yet realized.

She'd heard of Shinigami, but they so rarely came this far out. Rukongai had fallen prey to Hollow attacks, nothing new, but this time Seika was present to see the Soul Reapers dispatching the Hollows and she suddenly desired nothing more than to become one.

And she would. Pulling her Zanpakutou from her soul she became aware of the nature of that whisper she'd been hearing in Rukongai. It was the Wolf, the creature that had embodied itself through her blood lust though it would not speak to her unless she was fighting. It took her many years in the Academy before she even learned it's name.

Upon her graduation, it was no surprise to her professors when she applied to only one Gotei to be apart of. The 11th. It was strange enough that any student choose the 11th as their only choice, but more strange was that she was a female seeking their ranks.

Roleplay Sample:

"Cho!"

It was called loudly even through the din of the small gambling hut. Smoke drifted through the stale air, the only smell that surpassed it was that of sake. Pushing up the straw hat she wore on her head to peer at the man before raising the cup to reveal Han and grinned with feral intent. "Han...pay up."

The man stood quickly as if to start a fight but Seika was quicker to stand and a balled up fist was proof she was just as ready to fight as he was. If that wasn't sign enough, her smile was sharkish as she watched him with those strange yellow eyes. "You know the rules of the den, Shuuko. Pay up or I'll have to wring every cent out of you in front of all your friends."

Seika ran a fairly straight service. You came in and gambled and bought sake and tobacco. The house took a bit of a cut, but nothing unreasonable. Which is why the den was always packed and busy.

The man backed down after a few moments of debating internally before turning to leave. Seika scooped up her winnings and nodded to one of the men she kept on the payroll to keep things civil before stepping out and taking out a small pipe and setting it between her teeth.

She could feel her stomach grumbling at a lack of sustenance, it was strange, the way her body was starting to need more and more food to be free of that hungry feeling. She shook her head and headed towards one of the higher districts with her winnings to go and get something that could pass for food.
