Captains having control over who joins their squad.

At first I tried to understand exactly why a Captain shouldn't be able to say who or who doesn't join their squad and most importantly who does and doesn't obtain the position of Lieutenant in their squad but at some point I just stopped and said to myself, Without that control, the only point in being a Captain is having control over the organization itself and not the members who join it.

I can command one person here to attend a certain banquet that would benefit our team, and said person just may happen to do something they weren't ordered to do, and then they could continue to show this type of behavior, that while they get the job done they don't ever get it done how the Captain may want them to. Picture this being your Lieutenant, the one person you are supposed to trust completely in such matters... I say it isn't fair that he must remain my lieutenant, someone who is MY Second in command when I don't trust him.

When I brought this up before I was told that because someone once denied another member the right to be a Lieutenant because he didn't like him Ooc, I think that's just right. I mean, not only are there other LT positions but there gives one another reason to not mouth off to someone they may consider their superior in this RP, The fact that someone denies a character a position in a Squad for any reason doesn't mean anything since their tier won't lower or become higher, I mean, if someone can create a organization and pick who gets a position in it yet we can be Captains of a squad and not pick who gets what position in it is just plain unfair.

So I suggest giving the Captains their power back.

I agree with BK201 but also think it should apply to other orgs too and not jsut the SS

Well, even though it was a filler...you didn't see Amagai replace Kira did you? Now, I do agree that if you have a VALID REASON that you should be able to demote or replace your lieutenant or whatever. However, generally Captains don't just lolpick who they have as their squad.

I don't think she means to say lol pick, that is just over simplifying it, it seems to me like she just wants to have the option to pick who she can trust for her squad.

Valid reason? The reason behind making someone your LT or demoting them from the position of your LT should not have to be "Valid" in anyones eyes but the Captains. That is what I'm saying, and no 48 He is right, I am asking for Captains to have the ability to "lolpick" their own members, and Kira wasn't replaced in the filler BECAUSE

Well, a good example against your argument would be Taicho. Everyone hates him, so no one would allow him into their Division. However, because we use this process he was the Lieutenant of the Third Division before he ragequit. It's one of those things that doesn't need be controlled by personal feelings. Also, you're VERY wrong. It has to be valid in the eyes of the Captain-Commander as well.

Well then I don't see your argument, If no one wants him in a division, The Captain commander can sign off on putting him in a division. However I don't see where that makes me wrong since I didn't say picking the squad members was the Captains alone, I am just saying, as I said already, WE should have a say in who joins our squad. What, does the opinion of the Captain no longer matter? If you want to say no to saying who joins our squad I can be alright with that, But who gets what position? That's just plain wrong if we aren't allowed to say what we want in the matter.
