As The Moon Falls. [Haru/Inami]

Artist: Undertale OST - Song: Your Best Friend - Word Count: 914
“..Thats quite large.”
The Female known as Inami stood beneath the impending collision of an extremely large meteor, a huge chunk of the moon barrelling down at the earth, to most this would be a situation of immediate concern, however for the royal demon and queen of chaya nation this was the farthest thing from her mind currently. That was occupied by veta, her lovely friend Neoveta who had ended up killed by her Elder sister, Mana Asthavon. She had loved her as a family member, and beyond it had been Neoveta who had nursed her back to health when she lost it back in australia, it had been by her hand that Inami had been able to escape her own insanity and begun the path back to redemption. Then there had been tsubuasa who was either dead or in a coma. . . All this pain had forced itself through her in a very short period of time, and now she was beyond upset, the darker depths of her psyche seemed to become more active. Specifically thanks to the introduction of the black world back into existence she was able to feel the gradual degeneration into madness occurring.
Yet she could remember the times that she had spent with these two people, and those thoughts helped her cling to her hard-won sanity. It was a force of will itself to keep her more primal side from rearing it’s head to bare it’s fangs at the world. She was broken, a fragmented existence full of pain at the moment, and yet she thought that pain would not remain eternally. Eventually, even if it was thousands of years from now. She’d look back at this time in her life as a dark spot observing it from a distance to pick apart what she did wrong, or what was unavoidable. That thought kept her strong, or strong enough that she would be able to keep the horns from growing atop her crown, and her tail from running free or at least. . It started out that way at first, the horn’s tips peeking from her pink black hair, and her eyes deviated from their natural black pink hue, with flecks of green underlying it. She could feel her veins boiling, her sanity was shaky at best and the best thing for her now would most likely be a distraction. Something that would be able to keep her mind off of it’s impending break. Something that would alleviate her tension if but for a short while.
Casting her heartache and feelings adrift in the back of her psyche she focused on the present, the howling winds and frothing flames bringing themselves up into the fore-front of her mind, her undivided attention her let her frustration explode the force of her demon magic releasing like floodgates, the effect on the world around her already becoming apparent as the feelings of malice bloomed with it, down came the wrath she was feeling, as the darker aspects of her energy erupted and the skies themselves seemed to begin to tinge purple and black. It wasn’t as if she was being rash, rather it was because of her rashness that she had her thoughts so crystal clear. She didn’t merely want to destroy this hunk of junk, she wanted to obliterate it so that she would be able to vent, and cry, scream and shout at her inadequacies. So with tears flooding her eyes she had raised her hands and began to weave together zao-ka , the demon energies themselves beginning to take shape, guided by a single thought that in itself could give birth to a million different emotions.
Hate. A hate so deep and black that it was all encompassing and all consuming. A hatred that couldn’t be put to words even if she spoke for millions of years. It was like a toxic sludge that urged the royal demon to sink deeper and deeper into her own power, to dredge up reserves she never thought that she could wield it made her ignore her own self degradation and doubts. Her energy bloomed forth, and increased beyond her normal thresholds manipulating the attributes of the water itself and taxing her mind as she was concentrating and bringing energies to fruition that she herself never even thought she would understand or be able to control. It wasn’t like tsubasa had once told her, that she was too tense. It had been that she often limited or held herself back in fear of what would happen, or who she would destroy. There wasn’t that here, she hated the world and it’s inhabitants, she hated the moon for all it stood for, for all she lost. Everything was meaningless, everything was pointless. Coexistence? Coexistence had made her weak and blind to how the world worked. It made her think that the world would be conquered by anything other than strength, that words would prevail over might.
How foolish had she been? Sitting in her throne and thinking on what she could do to bring demons into the fold with the rest of the races, how could she even possibly be able to begin to bridge such a gap of mistrust, despair and outright hatred for one another. The problem was she did not only hate the world, but she hated someone else more than anything else. She hated her sisters, She Hated Mana, with a single minded determination so violent that it knew no bounds. Mana had taken from her one if not the only thing that she had formed a time tested meaningful connection with, and in it’s place spawned an abomination. Yet she could not fault her sister, for she knew her sister’s behavior to an extent. She was erratic. Willing to use anything and everything to her own means , to further her own grand- schemes for the world. That was just how she was, and because of that. Even if she hated her she would not. Could not, fault her for being the way she was. Because for all the bad, there was still some parts of her sister that she still adored, which made this whole matter entirely worse.
So trapped between sadness, and hatred she decided, that she would continue walking down the path guided by these emotions until she found closure. Only then could she move on, and the first step to that was to begin to drain the emotions that lay festering in her demonic heart. If she let them build eventually she would be unable to hold back the tide, it would eventually cause her to degrade into the mindless beast she had been in australia, willing to destroy everything, to raise everything to the ground and erase it. That was something she would avoid at all costs which was why she had allowed her mouth to part.
She’d let out a scream of anguish and anger, a cry so broken, yet so maddening that it was a wail of pure agony, her hands throwing forth an immense plume of energy that would expand across the entirety of the meteor, taking in to account the kinetic force, the momentum and any other factors before she had blown the rock apart into a fragmented millions of different rocks, each one flying in a different direction while the water was displaced below her from the sudden surge of zao-ka. The pressure itself generated tidal waves that erupted in every direction. The sea was forced to begin converging around her hand and then it would disperse into millions of bullet like droplets. Droplets that would smash into each of the small pieces. Causing water with all it’s velocity to be similar to an explosive round, destroying rock and leaving only vapor and dust in its wake.
Afterwards she could feel the blood as it trickled from her eyes. The fat droplets that was her tears streaming down her face, eventually she had brought her hands up to cover it as she wept. Wept for what she lost, and at the same time kept battling her demons, the constant focus that it took to counteract this massive, world-crushing soul deep pain she felt at losing two of the most precious people in her life, being monumental. The amount of willpower that it took to battle her own insanity being similar to that as well. However atleast for now she knew that she would fight, and continue to live on. Battle those who she felt like battling and then continue until her pain was no more. She would get stronger, she had to get stronger. This pain in her heart wasn’t going away any time soon. . . So she had to fight.

HARU

It came as a shock to the boy, Haru's golden hair quickly becoming reddened alongside the rest of his clothing. The wide door of the Moon base found its way open before a large blast erupted from the newly visited room. Without notice, the pressure began to shift, the vacuum of space now dragging the innards of the base outward. To his knowledge, the moon had literally just blown up. Chunks of rock found their way flying through the air, the force placed against Haru and Luna becoming too abrupt to handle. Smacking left and right, the two bounced to and fro within the large room. Soon, they had found themselves bruised and bloody. Haru's crimson eyes met the dual irises of Luna's gaze before her tiny lips mouthed words that were quite obviously silent.
"Huh?" In an attempt to read her lips, Haru stretched his arm forth. He wouldn't allow himself to lose the girl so easily, his fingers stretching to their most extreme length. Any farther would cause the bones themselves to separate from his knuckles, the spreading being for nothing soon enough. In the silence of space, a large metal plate had found its way barreling towards the two, both of them being entirely oblivious to its large length. In a single, forceful slice, the metal plate found its way separating the boy's arm from his shoulder, sending his figure spiraling in the opposite direction of the girl.
Blood began to drift along the emptiness of space, Haru's eyes filling with the warm tears that coursed through his ducts now. I thought we were supposed to be happy when we were born? Angst and worry began to fill the boy's mind before it slowly dissipated. The lack of blood in his system quickly caused the boy to reach his limit, his crimson soaked figure barreling towards earth in a sea of black. Falling unconscious, he finally found his way within Earth's atmosphere.
Naturally, as the Iramasha of The Sun, Haru was perfectly fine from the intense friction and heat that enveloped his body. The armless boy flew directly behind a large portion of rubble, it's length entirely removing Haru from anyone's view. Somewhere within the pacific fell the rocks and the tiny figure in tandem with quite a few of the rocks entirely burning to a fine dust. To most, it would seem as if the boy's life was truly over. To be alive for such a short time, hours passed from his birth now. All of it came crashing down far too easily.
That would be the case, if Haru wasn't special. As the rock that deflected anyone's view of the boy quickly became destroyed, the spiraling figure quickly fell in an attempt to breach the cool waters of the pacific. Before the armless male could make contact with the cool water however, a figure quickly materialized against its surface. The tall male was quite bloody himself, his white hair shining roughly against the blazing sun with ease, it's crimson eyes staring at the falling figure.
"Tch, this is annoying." Outstretching it's right arm, the manifestation of the moon's hatred that was born alongside the boy gripped the falling figure, spinning to kill the momentum of the two entirely. The world around the two was quite obviously broken, the chunks of moon falling against the pacific waters. The Manifestation took in his surroundings before holding the boy within his arms. Just as Haru would, The Manifestation began to burn the wound that caused his arm to no longer connect to his body, cauterizing it in an attempt to sterilize it. Succeeding, it turned and sighed, viewing the newest figure to come into his vision.
The girl's dual colored hair through off The Manifestation at first, her body emitting a relatively dense spiritual pressure. Shaking its head, the figure spoke allowed. "Do something for this boy. I don't wish him to die, or myself." Without another word, it rested the boy's head against it's chest. Haru was sure to die if he didn't get any support from here, The Manifestation had done all he could.
"I do not look forward to his awakening..." Commenting on the fact that Luna was no where in sight, the figure sighed once more before stepping through the air towards the powerful woman.
Soon, Haru's journey would begin.

“.. this is interesting.”
The royal demon could see a figure descending from the heavens, just to be caught by another. A being who looked broken, and in many ways reminded her of her own time on the mend shortly after australia. Her multi-hued eyes having shifted while her body seemed at least for the moment to undergo a state of metamorphosis. Her multi hued hair was exchanged for a simple brown, the long length only for now stopping at her shoulder blades as it had shrunk.as she moved up to meet them. The eyes that had once been strange and alien had turned a quiet amber color before along with this a dampening of her massive reserves would take place, the dense miasma that surrounded her form quieting to merely a whisper. As a being who had been on the mend, and also even for a short time had been a mother, she had a soft spot for children, especially wounded ones, Given it was an oddity, she was a demon, and therefor was always considered to be apart of her base emotions, yet she also had maternal instincts that ran as thick as the black sludge that was her blood. Her tears had stopped and the ringing tones of madness all but stopped, by a stronger instinct. The instinct to protect and save a young one’s life.
The queen strode forward, her lips pursued, her expression concerned as she held her arms out to take the boy off of the strange white-haired male's hands, so long as she was allowed to do so. Her eyes shifting up and gazing at him. Taking in his appearance, gauging his level of power, all the necessary things for her to adjust her own energy to the point that it would not be suffocating. The last thing she wanted was to hurt this small boy after all. Plus she was still figuring out how to save him from the wound that he had suffered, given if it had been fresh she could have certainly worked around the deficiency and simply used her threads and blood as a base to reconstruct the lost limb. However, the wound was cauterized which meant to heal it she’d have to undo the already sealed off arm and take another chunk out of it before starting the mending process. Something that not only would she NOT do, but she’d violently harm any being at this point that would even dare attempt such a thing, that left one option she would eventually have to take him back to her own country where she could build him a new arm, one that was made of the finest material, that would be way down the road, and currently was not a concern to her as for now?
Inami simply had more questions than she had answers too. Such as how did a mere boy, one that seemed as frail and weak as this one, survive the fall from such a height, had he been dropped from the upper atmosphere? Or had he come from the moon that had just exploded? All these questions and more continued to whirr through the demon's mind, as she had at least for now so long as she had already been allowed to hold the boy. She’d utilize her mastery of Zao Ka to do something she had never tried before. She’d purify the demonic energy that she was wielding by using the neutral reishi in the air as a base, then forcing it into a state that it could be then injected into the boy without harming, tainting or having any kind of recoil with the delicate constitution of his being. From there it would be a process of simply guiding the energy to begin the process of speeding up the natural manner in which the body regenerated blood, hopefully doing this until he was out of the danger zone, however she didn’t want him waking up yet, she had some questions, serious questions, for the boy's unlikely savior, who wanted her to help him.
“..I have some questions. Such as who are you, in relations to this child, not to mention the fact that i need to know more precisely what happened to him, is there anything i should be careful of when treating him, and how much does he know about the world? “
Each question was specific and important in it’s own right. All simple and made to gauge the situation as probably at this point she was holding the child, if not well then she’d continue to wait to be given custody so she could begin the aforementioned process of pulling him out of the red zone in terms of his blood-loss. A deep sigh leaving her lips as she also shook her head and decided she would atleast give the stranger, regardless of the answers to his question a simple. Honest. Determined answer.
“..I will save him, i promise on this life of mine i will do that much.”

Standing against the cool waters of the pacific seemed to be irritating the manifestation, his eyes jolting awkwardly around the barren land. It was odd, conducting business on a plain that was normal considered to be used for swimming. Did he need a reason to talk to this demon that stood before him? Truthfully, he could have flown off and attempted to find help on his own, however he was obviously stuck in his ways as the boy's caretaker. Taking a glance towards the now altering female, he sighed and gave into the pressure of the moment.
"Do not bring him harm." Without another word, The Manifestation handed the boy's dying figure over, his eyes averting from his broken body. The Manifestation didn't have any real feelings for the boy, he simply didn't wish to die. Even with this being the case however, watching the one who brought him to this realm sit in a lifeless shape... it was disturbing, anger rising in The Manifestation's mind. They, whoever they were at least, were surely to pay for what they had done to the small boy and girl that clung to each other in an attempt of happiness. He was sure of it.
The twin tailed girl quickly formed another appearance entirely, her arms clinging to the boy's form in an attempt to hold him upright. The Manifestation felt worried, his eyes jerking constantly as the eyes of the demon continue to wrap their way around his stiff body. Each wound and speck of blood seemed to be picked up by the female, her eyes finally coming to a halt now that she turned her gaze towards The Manifestation. Quickly adjusting himself, he awaited for what she was surely going to bring towards him.
"Well, it's hard to explain. If I were to be blunt however, Haru brought me into this world. He is my creator, me being the creation of a war's emotional side." Nodding to the girl, The Manifestation turned away before bring his hands to his neck, groaning aloud. "Upon our entry into a newly found room, we came upon an explosion that sent both him and his opposite half spiraling away from each other. She's nowhere to be seen obviously, so he was sent towards you. If we're being precise, however... He's suffered multiple gash wounds along his body from vacuum power metal slabs, along with his arm entirely being torn from his figure." He nodded once more, gazing towards the bright sun before continuing his examination of the boy's injuries.
"I burned the boy's shoulder in order to close the wound. Of course, that requires further surgery but that is fine with me. He doesn't need to know what happened, I'd rather him not. As for what he knows of this world, he knows of Luna, is companion. And myself, obviously. Otherwise, he knows of nothing." In all honesty, it was true that Haru was clueless of the world before him. His limp body stayed quiet during the interaction with the demon, The Manifestation's eyes watching his breathing like a hawk.
"Do as you please, do not mention Luna however. Do so and we'll take our leave upon his awakening. I don't need to see the boy in more distress than he already is in." Bowing out of respect, The Manifestation took in the girl's figure once more before sighing. Of course, this is what I get to work with.

“ I see.. Lets see what i can do for now. . . “
The queen of chaya almost seemed to relax visibly the tension within her body naturally mellowing out at the prospect of the task laid out before her. Here was an individual who she would need to fix, and to do so she was going to have to do some other minor changes first so the body would not risk rejection of what she had planned for the boy once they eventually got back to the demons home of chaya nation. The first indicator of this process even beginning was the subtle shift within the eyes of the demon, going from their mis-matched color they would perpetually darken as if injected with sludge. The outer ring of her sclera turning a vibrant red while the interior varied from the external burgundy to the inner veil of jet black that surrounded and obscured the demons iris. To many this would look ominous but for her? This was merely an application of her own visible skill known as Dark eyes, something that is generally dormant or as a passive within the queen to allow her to function better on a day to day basis. However now that it was active, this would mean instead of only putting minor amounts of energy in it to get the bare minimum of it’s capabilities she was investing vastly more power into it, allowing her to eventually begin the process of manipulating energy via her visual ability to string together demon magic, and her rather ungodly grasp over the source of demon energy known as zao ka.
Through this ungodly grasp, she had begun to weave together a rather impressive myriad of factors. Taking in the males proportions, the way his frame felt within her arms, even the tone of his muscles was not overlooked as the demon queen began a more lengthy and painstaking process of bodily reinforcement. Now one might wonder why the queen was even doing such a thing? It was simple, she had promised to save him, and in the process she was determined to throw her all into the task at hand , she would not only save him. No she was planning on making him even better than he was in the first place, given the arms she made would be out of materials that she would collect directly from the depths of her own nation and would be tainted by demonic energies simply because the minerals had been created under such an atmosphere, now because she did not know how this would affect demons, what she was doing was essentially planning on raising the boy’s tolerance towards the magic that is zao ka to an absurd degree, and at a lesser extent the other harmful effects that might stem from being in an environment such as chaya nations for whatever period of time it took to fix him up.
In the time that she began, she would not only be taking in his own physical state, but many other factors of Zao ka, such as potential for drainage by demons, environmental instability that could be borne from demon spells and even the adverse affects that went along with them, be it decay, illness, curses. She would begin to through the injection of massive amounts of energy lightly interfused throughout the boy's body, although there would be another factor to the energy. Which was she had also filtered it through an even more tricky step. She had while factoring those very toxins from demon energies themselves, went about neutralizing them by inverting the properties to demon energy. What this meant? Was not exactly the inverse, but instead that it raised the resistance of the boy to all the adverse effects of demon energy, while being introduced into the body as “Neutral energy” Kind of like reishi.
In time there would be a minor “Connection” Formed between the incoming energy and the energy within haru’s body originally, through this connection inami worked on widening the stream, turning it from a trickle into a vast connection in which she could begin really working on the body itself, as tiring as even this feat was given to “Widen” the energy connection meant to a lesser extent she had to go in and build up the bodies resistance to energy so it could even handle the flow that was riding inside. In theory this could lead to immense jumps in power as a byproduct while the intended purpose would be that she was beginning to alter the boy’s natural resistance to demon energies, bit by bit her energy would caress his body, and in it’s wake it would heighten his resistance to the point that theoretically the boy would be able to move into even the harshest of environments in demon world without even having a lick of adverse affects because inami had decided to further this, while the bodies resistances had been boosted, she also made it so that much like a demon barrier filters out most toxins and even deflects attacks. The boy’s skin would be able to take in toxins that bypassed the natural resistances of the body, and absorb them. From there from her meddling the bodies own natural white blood cells, or what ever was the equivalent for an iramasha would literally be able to dissolve most toxins and eventually over a prolonged period of time, be able to even create antibodies for the toxins that it had previously been unable to handle.
Through the entire process inami had not only been forced to tax herself but, the entire process was complex on a living organism. It would take time. . Energy and immense levels of focus, and deduction for her to finish , the end result literally being enough energy to be felt for many miles in light of the alterations the demon queen had done to the boy, droplets of perspiration running down her normally serene face from what was in all intents and purposes, one of the more tricky and labor intensive things she had ever done even in retrospect to creating the core of chaya nation, and Neoveta’s 1st shell’s tampering. Both of those had been in containers that could handle the full might of her energy, this being had not. Which made it harder since she had to be able to alter the body and at the same time not turn the host to ash as she did so, meaning even to get his resistances up meant he had essentially undergone immense levels of energy flowing through every minuscule iota of his being , large amounts that would normally cause most beings even under the 2 tier to fall to their knee’s and even be able to knock them out just from feeling it. . . All in all though, the queen looked down and exhaled, she had hoped this would all work, but she was keenly watching him for now, to make sure there wouldn’t be any backlash.
