ENTER THE DEPTHS
Artist: Homestuck OST - Song: Aggrievocation - Word Count: ???
Such cataclysm... brought about only by a singular being. My boss is truly a being to fear, considering that similar effects must be taking place for other fighters. I must put on a better show, I can not be outdone by what must be a simple spell for Mana. What good would I be if I were to be that weak?
Quite a while away, that was how far Nemesis was. No matter how far she ran, with strange boots granting her great speeds, the blast was heard far behind her. With the first major threat to her very well being gone, she was able to turn and see the absolute destruction, the hole plot of land now missing, just simply gone. Well, gone for only a few moments, as the earth already began to restore itself, slowly forming the ruined roads and crumbled buildings as she even watched and stared with a hint of amusement on her face. From the fact that she hadn't been declared winner, that meant that her foe had survived. If her survived, he still had a will to fight. If there was a will to fight, then there would be some enjoyment for Nemesis.
Though where could he have gone? Who knows, she wasn't one to have extraordinary senses, only the knowledge that she knows. She knew that he was a Shinigami, and she knew that they had many tricks to abuse for survival, be it Kido or even Flash Step, if there was a will, there was a way. Now the only true issue was trying to draw him too her once again. If she were to pull him closer with Whirling Vortex, he might be able to catch on and even abuse this to send a few strikes her way without a true method of defending herself. Would he really do something of that degree? Before he didn't seem all too motivated, but perhaps there was a chance to make this fun.
Fingers soon tightly gripped her axe once more, a deep breath being taken in as the woman seemed to be prepping herself for something. Knees bending down as she crouched downwards, a single hand being placed upon the ground itself as the other held her axe aloft and to the side. With her body crouched low and hunched over, she suddenly released a massive amount of force, launching her straight into the air by shoving off of the ground hard enough to even form cracks. While other beings had flight or flash step, Nemesis' mode of transportation in the air was much simpler, powerful leaps.
The woman was sent soaring through the air, rising above some of the taller buildings as eyes widened, already attempting to scan the area before her. As stated before, she had no incredibly sensing ability, her only skill that might help would be to sense one's anger... but Henrex seemed to lack that, at least currently. So for now, she was left to rise into the air, attempting to spot any form of movement, any signs of life or power. She didn't want to use the same trick of pulling him towards her again, she would have loved to get the drop on him, quite literally, and make this battle as intense as it needed to be.
However, for Henrex, he was able to see her clearly. With the flash of red from her top to just her general bulky figure, she definitely rose up quickly. And the one boon to him was that she couldn't see him, she didn't know where or if he would come for her. She was left simply rising, and soon, hanging in the air for a few moments, hundreds of feet up. Her descent would certainly be very quick, and the time to act must have been short. If he were to strike at her while she was vulnerable in the air, he'd have to act quickly. If he wanted to simply track her and follow to where she had landed, then patience would be key.
Though one thing had to be considered, why would she do this? Sure, the intent of finding him was there, but she must have known that he would see her and could try launching an attack. Well, the answer was plainly simple, she didn't fear for her life. She was the one with the advantage here, she had much more power within her, and quite a few tricks up her sleeves. This isn't to say that she doesn't think Henrex has a chance, just that she believes that getting hurt in order to draw him out is a tactic worth the injuries. Besides, she wasn't totally useless in the air, she still had her axe held tightly in her right hand, ready to be used for whatever may be needed.
