Something Ancient Stirs
Tue Apr 26, 2016 5:26 am
It started with a click, the sound of something falling back into place. Then a whirring sound, like the disk of a computer spinning to life reached out to usher the silence away. The silence was swept out and away, into the surrounding forest.
Then light.
An azure beam sprung into the blackness of the night, but it was a tiny thing. Fragile, easily overpowered by the darkness. Then another light, and another. Slowly at first, then with rising speed, lights began to shine from a lost hulk of metals. Atop this mound of machinery had grown moss and flowers, dirt had blown and covered it. It was forgotten by many, a relic of long ago.
Yet now it rose.
A promise at its heart whispered it back to life.
With the rising sound of grinding gears an ursine form rose from it resting place. It stepped forward, claiming this patch of land as its own as its eyes opened for the first time in many moons. A voice rose up, scattering the silence in earnest.
"Exterior damage seems extensive; corrosion and rust have claimed much of the outer plating. Several natural organisms have begun to grow beneath designated weak points in the plating. The joints have experienced extensive corrosion, estimated capacity at forty percent of last recorded maximum. However, all other systems are operating within acceptable limits."
"Seems we need a tune up then. Shall we?"
The great ursine machine turned its head, ignoring the darkness of the forest he had taken for his slumber. He looked off and beyond, to the place he once roamed. Then he took another step, and started back from whence he had come.
His time of slumber was at an end.

Greetings, one and all.
For those of you who don't know me, humor me while I ramble.
For those of you who do, its been a while. In fact, in a week it will have been 3 whole years.
Crazy, no?
My name is Genpaku for the newly initiated, and almost 3 years ago I stepped away from Bleach Platinum Hearts for a variety of reasons. I left this place behind to focus on other things, with the promise that it was not the end. That I would return one day to see an end to the stories I was writing here.
And that is why we're here today.
At one time, I entertained the dream of being an author. I wanted to write books, books that would drag people away from their television screens and internet ramblings, from video game dalliance and daydreams. I wanted to bring people into a story that they wanted to read, that they chose to read.
And as the last three years has gone, that dream has grown dimmer day by day.
So I've come to this place to help me rekindle a love that was broken, and breathe new life into a dream I wish to keep having.
The idea is simple. I am returning to my writing, to my forum RPs and story creations. This is not the only forum that this very night is getting this kind of proclamation because it is easy to say these things to myself, and easy to not think about it when I don't life up to them. To put it into words, words that others can hear and see and know, however, is a beast of an entirely different nature. My aim is to get back into the habit of writing, to make it a thing I do every day. To craft the dedication and persistence that I have henceforth been lacking. That is where BPH comes in, for its piece of this. Twice weekly I will be spending an hour writing solely for this forum (maybe more, depending on my time and how I feel). This is one of three forum sets that I am returning too, one of three groups of people.
I believe that everyone has something to teach, and everyone something to learn. BPH is a large community, full of people with varied capabilities and techniques. I'm hear to learn what I can and, perhaps, teach a thing or two along the way.
To put it succinctly; I'm back. Whatcha waitin' for?
Let's kick some ass.

Well, hello! I myself returned just recently, though I'm not as close, as old, as you mister! Welcome and hope to see something interesting from you ^.^
