The Dawn Will Come is set after the events of Inquisition and Trespasser, in the year 9:50 Dragon. The war waging between Tevinter and the Qunari has taken a turn with The Hero of Ferelden's companion Sten now Arishok. Tevinter is losing and in their desperation, they've turned to Orlais and Ferelden. They have given them an ultimatum:
"Fight for us or die."
