How Do You Feel About PH?
What's Keepin Ya On PH? [Interest Check + Poll Question]
Mon Mar 28, 2016 10:26 am
«WHAT IS KEEPING YOU ON PH?»
More than anything else, I'm curious about something: what is keeping everyone here? No, nothing happened that triggered this question. Since I'm getting back in the groove of things, I just want to gauge people's interest and hear where you all stand with Platinum Hearts. What makes PH work for you?
Additionally, I left a poll option as well for those who want to vote. Feel free to leave it anonymous or let your vote be known pubically.

The community of friends present on the site, the characters I've invested in, and the fact that I'll never find a better roleplaying site than this for me if I tried.

Thanks for that. So you'd say it's the free-form style that really keeps you engaged along with a lot of the community?

I love the characters I have created and the opportunity to see how they progress. I honestly just lay the ground work and try playing them out how I think they would react to certain situations so its interesting how different threads make me rethink where my characters stand. Basically story building :). The people are pretty nice as well.

This is my home, and each one of its members a person in my Family. I'll always fight for it, no matter what pain I have to go through or what we have to face.
But on the lighter note you were probably looking for: The freedom the site has as far as how we are able to roleplay our characters is really its most attractive quality.
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

It's more than that. The sheer amount of effort it takes to run this place, the passion that has been put into the site to make it look amazing and create enjoyable activities for the members is absurd. Yet, there are people willing to put forth that effort. The goodwill of PH is always on your mind and it's obvious to see. I don't see another site matching that.

I'll be honest, I'm not as invested as I used/can be. Mostly because of myself - feeling displaced, and having nothing really to contribute other then nostalgia does that to people - but also because it's like a spider web. I'm trapped, I'm struggling, and yet I'm accomplishing nothing. Honestly, I feel as if I don't have any meaning here. I'm always on the sidelines, mostly by choice at this point. I haven't found my groove, I haven't found what makes me tick here like I had before, and that's really hampering me.
So until I find some place, I'mma be a meh, as other things will take my priorities. It's unfortunate, considering how much time I had already poured into the site. But maybe something further down the line will help me out, who knows. Frost seems to have a good idea how to tickle my plot buttons most of the time~

I evolve and grow on PH. Nearly five years ago I was a little kid who let a majority of things in his life bring him down entirely. I found PH, and slowly but surely, I started to develop my writing and relationships with others. PH is my family, through and through. With that comes ups and downs, but when it gets down to the nitty gritty I'm here for good. I've forged friends and connections that I'd never give up on for life, no matter the circumstance.
So, needless to say, PH keeps me moving forward through my own sheer will along with those that stand beside me.

Then I'm glad I have helped to give you a platform to watch them progress and develop. I hope you are able to find more enjoyment out of PH then. So you would say it's the freedom and expansive character growth you get in threads that keep you here, yes?

Yeah, I can understand where you are coming from with the home sentiment. It's been almost 10 years since it began and I feel I will be here long after everyone else has left because it is rather hard to stop something after that amount of investment.
With that said, I do feel the free-range aspect is what has kept PH so entertaining for as long as it has been. That's what I think is our strongest selling point and is one I'll most likely choose to go with when I make our new advertising image.

It runs a lot of passion, energy and dedication. That is for certain. And as long as you put the work in, more often than not, you will be rewarded. That goes staff and members alike when it comes to our projects, characters and keeping the site active itself. So I would feel our will may have something to do with it as well.

Then I will help you get back into Platinum Hearts until you find your way back. Feel free to use me as your extension to get back into the current ray of events and I will keep triggering your plot button until it happens. As, I do not want to see you leave or feel left out in your void of nostalgia.

That is also good to hear. It's rough to believe this site began around six years (almost ten considering the previous sites) ago and here we are still here. So I feel the sense of family is also an element here for those who are able to stand our general atmosphere.
Thank you
