Values relationships: To Kazuya friends are one the most important things a person can have, that friends are the people who make you strive to be better then you already are. A man without friends isn’t a man at all.

Fun-loving: Kazuya has never been one to turn down a good time. He loves to have fun whether its training or playing a simple game of tag, he is always ready to have some fun.

Living for the moment: Kazuya refuses to have any regrets, because every time he goes into battle there is chance he will die he does his best to live life to the fullest.

Balance: Kazuya believes that for every action there must be a reaction, and therefore as he lives care free in his everyday life he is serious and stoic in the heat of battle.

• History: Seeing souls never messed with Kazuya’s life, he had seen them since the day the day he was born. His imaginary friends weren’t so imaginary, he played with the souls of children who had never gone to the Soul Society. As Kazuya got older he started helping out at his grandfather’s funeral home; by the time he was 18 seeing those strange people in black robes and swords was not all that uncommon. He had spent most of the time ignoring them, after all it’s not like they were hurting anyone, and really if he could remember his life when he was alive he would wish he had left it that way. It was in October and only two days until his birthday, as he was walking home from school he saw one of them, a soul in a black robe, not doing anything just waiting around for something. He could never had known what it was but Kazuya couldn’t give up the chance to actually talk to one of these people, and as he called out and tried to get their attention their face turned into a look of horror, because unknown to Kazuya the Hollow the Shinigami was waiting for was right behind him.

It was because of this attack that Kazuya has no memory of being sent to the Soul Society. After a few years he joined the Academy so he could become a Shinigami and achieve his goal of keeping his family safe. During his time living in the Rukongai he had found a family of which he was the oldest and he did his best to take care of those kids. A Shinigami who was on his way back to the Seireitei had told him that he had an abnormal amount of reiatsu and the best way to help his family is to train to protect everyone. Ten years ago he graduated from the Academy.

• Zanpakutô Spirit Name: Chintsū-zai

• Zanpakutô Spirit Appearance: Chintsū-zai is a medical Zanpakutô. It appears as a young doctor who is prepared to go into surgery. She stands at 5'4" tall with medium length brown hair.

• Inner World: The inner world where Chintsū-zai lives looks like the waiting room of a hospital.

• Sealed Zanpakutô Apperance : Chintsū-zai looks like a normal Zanpakutô but there is a caduceus engraved near the hilt.

• Sealed Zanpakutô Abilities: Chintsū-zai sealed ability is that she can deaden the nerves in the arms and legs that she strikes by using Reaitsu to intercept the electrical impulses from the brain, therefore inhibiting the pain response making it easier to complete any complicated surgery, or effectively stopping that limb from moving at all. This effect only lasts for one posts, at which point the feeling slowly comes back to the body part in two posts. When activated Kazuya must land a hit with his Zanpakutô within two posts of its activation or he cannot use this ability again for two posts, and his sword arm will go limp from as the power is automatically used to deaden his own left arm. A successful hit for this effect must pierce the skin of the target as the reaitsu must enter the body of the opponent. Because this ability has such a high drain on his Reiryoku (total spirit energy) consecutive use of this ability will cause him to weaken and be unable to fight after 5 consecutive uses.
