Trees make terrible opponents.
Mon Dec 20, 2010 10:23 pm
It had been nearly a month since Alaster had left soul society. The shinigami had never been one to follow orders and once he had been given the basic tools needed for survival, he saw no need to stick around in a place that he felt he didn’t fit into.
It was hard to tell what time of the day it was with the light gray rain clouds that filled the sky. Deep in the forest Alaster was hard at work building up his strength, he looked at the burning white holy flames surrounding the blade of his zanpakutou and let out a sigh. Alaster looked up onto the tree tops and let some of the falling rain lightly drop on his face, he then looked down at the tree in from of him and swung his sword through the air, in one clean motion three trees fell back to back from the monstrous swing.
A second swing was in the works but it was stopped halfway when Alaster caught wind of a nearby spiritual pressure, though he wasn’t quite sure exactly what was headed his way.

OOC: Sorry it took me so long. My laptop is fucking up so i had to fix my PC so i could post. And its working quite fine now :]
IC:
And how much is that one over there? The rather large looking one? A man dressed in black and heavy winter clothing, while pointing at a rather large grapefruit from Florida. The man appeared to be confused for a second, but had understood what the man had said, and in rather bad english, replied, Ahh... Yeez. Zat one rught durr? Zat vun vud be... ehmm... How Amerikkkan say... Two Dorra? Yeez. Two Dorra. he said with a happy smile on his face; the man in the black winter clothes looked extremely shocked, Two dollars for a single grapefruit!? Are you out of your freaking mind! I'll take my money elsewhere!! he shouted with anger at the man who was only trying to help him. The Japanese man with horrible english grammar sat there, still smiling as he waved good-bye to the man who had just yelled at him, as he had absolutely no idea what the hell just happened. From the look on his face, he thought he was going to go get more money to buy more fruit, and awaited patiently in his pool of ignorance.
Yokkyu shook his head in disgust as he used a shunpo to appear on the top of a nearby building. It made a silent, yet audible wooshing sound. He exhaled and saw his breath in front of his face, which appeared in a grayish-white vapor which rose high into the sky until it was no longer visible. He took one step away from the ledge of the building and began to think, Today is rather cold out... I don't think I like it very much... he thought. Truthfully, it wasn't that cold out, only around 35 degrees Farenheit. He surely wasn't use to that kind of coldness. It seemed as though everyone else was pretty much use to it, but thankfully, he was in his Spirit Form and nobody other than the Spiritually Aware could see him and how uncomfortable he was. Yokku also realized he wasn't sure what time of day it was, as dark clouds loomed overhead, blocking most of the sun from shining down unto the Earth, misinforming many of the time of day. The wind, as well, was rather fierce today, Yokkyu had heard from some Humans that the wind speeds ranged anywhere from 15 to 32 miles per hour. It was apparent that a storm was about to hit, not a snow storm, as it wasn't yet cold enough, but likely a heavy rain storm.
With an uncomfortable sigh, he walked from one end of the building to the other, and leaped down onto the green earth beneath him. He landed with a light thud, arching his back to absorb the shock of impact. He was compeltely unscathed, as normal humans would have been, he was NOT a normal human, and he could fall from higher heights than they; by a lot. He regained his composure and walked away from the city and into the thick forest in front of him. As he walked, he began to think about that wretched Karakura Town, and how protected it really was. He knew the Shinigami have some sort of device for monitoring the Town, and they had several seated shinigami from Squad 13 out there as well. They would undoubetly vanquish most hollow threats, and when it came to one they couldn't handle, they'd call for their beloved Lieutenent, Hakudoshi Rentai to help vanquish what they themselves couldn't. But what exactly would happen if a full fledged Espada came to town; would their beloved Lieutenent save them then? Likely not, and what if a full Espada invasion were to occur? How long would it take for the entiriety of the Gotei to come protect the most spiritually active town the world has ever seen? Likely too long for comfort for the humans... They're just disgusting... every last one of them... I swear, I'll kill those idiots if ever given the chance... those Squad 13 lackeys better be glad I haven't ran into any of them, else they'd be like the hollows they kill: DEAD! Yokkyu thought bitterly, his thoughts matching the air outside: bitter and cold.
He walked into the now-thin forest, where trees were scarce and bushes were rare, but could see ahead of him that the farhter along he went, the more dense it would become. He felt the presence of ... something. He didn't know exactly what, and he couldn't exactly locate it just yet. But he knew that since he felt it going further into the forest, that if he continued, he would get a better feel of this now-low Reiatsu. So, he did just that, worried that since it felt nothing like a hollow, it was that of a Shinigami. Hopefully one he could toy with. So, he continued on for about 3 extra minutes, picking up his speeds from walking to running, though only half speed. After those three minutes of running, he had been able to locate a general area of where he believed the Shinigami (for he had now been able to determine it was in fact Shinigami) was. He appeared behind the Shinigami with a quick shunpo, and closed his eyes. He gently cleared his throat, unable to see the Shinigami, he knew he would likely be a surprise to the Shinigami, and was not threatened just yet. He smirked and cleared his throat again, this time a little louder. What do we haaaaave here? A Shinigami? You don't think that for being in Squad 13, that you're in the right place? Would your beloved Captain be glad that you're out here in a forest, and not in the town ensuring that those mindless, idiot humans are safe? ...I'm sure I'd be doing your Captain a favor by ridding him of worthless, undutiful scum such as yourself! ...Unless, you're not with Soul Society. If that's the case, then you could still be at least a little fun, I suppose... though i'd have no where to send you to... oh well... Yokkyu said, half disappointed, a quarter jokingly, and a quarter sarcastic. He awaited the response.

With a quick flash it seemed the pressure that Alaster had been sensing, in fact sensed him out as well *not that big of a surprise* thought the lone shinigami whose training would now have to wait….or would it? Turning to face the thing behind him Alaster kept a calm look on his face. Alaster was still new to being a shinigami and though he could sense spiritual pressures, he had a hard time determining the differences in races but, from what Alaster was feeling right now, the person before him had a spiritual pressure that he had not sensed before.
“It’s awfully rude to belittle someone or something you don’t know about isn’t it?” he said giving the man a serious look. “you seem different from the others that I have encountered while here. What are you?” the tone of voice echoing from the shinigami mouth was now changing from calm to rude and Alaster had every right to show his true colors, especially if this thing before him was going to assume that picking a fight with Alaster was a good idea.
“I suggest that you find someone else to bother, I have no interest in fighting such a pathetic excuse of a being. I’d much rather waste my time training.” he said turning his back to the person, it wasn’t a good idea.
