The night enveloped Megumi Square as the Vanguard Leader stood under a single lamplight, his white and black hair shining awkwardly against the florescent light. It was around three in the morning, a time most were either just emerging from slumber or in a deep sleep still from the night life. Azure, sadly enough, had yet to sleep that night. It was far too early to be doing anything but nevertheless, he had requested for a relatively new member of the Vanguard to join him for a small escapade here in Megumi Square. Steiner Franz, a man that had just recently made his stance clear in the Vanguard. Previously, he had interacted with a fellow member of the Iramasha, Cirno. The second thing that caught Azure's eye was that the young man was sent out on a mission to the Sugiura Realm, returning without much of any issues. It was time that he met the moving Vanguard Member, like he did a majority of his members.
The Hybrid Iramasha let a small sigh escape his throat as he turned to the stars above. The tired leader made it his mission, even through the current circumstances he was faced with, to make himself an example to those that worked for him. Constantly moving and trying to keep those within his ranks in a better mood than himself. One objective to the next, the new kid wasn't an exception. Looking to the constelations above, Azure thought back on the beginning of his time here with the Vanguard. Stepping ahead of those that saw the Vanguard as useless, moving towards a goal to make their efforts meaningful... The Vanguard were a force to be reckoned with, something that could not be said about recent years past. Hopefully, things would only move up from here.
Looking back to the Square, the man slid his hands against the collar of a deep black cloak that sat against his neck. The cold fingers of the wind pushed itself against Azure's clothing, the hood that was attached the cloak quickly went flying backwards, slapping against the man's back. The cold was beginning to set in as the abandoned square became rather... eerie. At night, the life of Karakura usually continued on, not here however. The rich and famous spent their times in their homes, ignoring those that randomly scattered throughout the square and that of Sukai Karakura. A large majority of those that scattered themselves were Vanguard members, Azure being one of them.
Pushing his back against the lamp post that raised above him, the Hybrid tapped his foot as he waited for his fellow member to arrive. Azure was early, sadly that was par for the course with him. Letting a small smile grace his face, Azure simply stared forward. He was ready for his time with the member, he liked getting to know those that stood beside him. They were family, greater family than the Iramasha had been in recent years.
"Well. Sure isn't too special of a morning, now is it, Husk?"
The man spoke to himself, the entity within him spiking as he spoke aloud.
Fucking idiot. Don't talk about me like I'm next to you, you're already seen as an idiot to me. Want the fucking world to agree with me?
Azure chuckled at the statement, his eyes returning to the ground before him. Hopefully, Steiner would arrive relatively soon. Along with that, hopefully he was ready to spend quite a lot of energy moving about this morning. Azure wouldn't be a good guy this dark morning. Not even a bit.

What did it take to be called off of a late night patrol route to go meet the leader of the Vanguard, Azure Iramasha? Steiner didn't know, but he assumed that it was something completely negative as it wasn't every day that someone with that level of power asked for you personally. He struggled to make his way to Megumi Square, solemnly walking toward it covered in dirt, and his jacket dirty from a rough go with a couple Hollows that he had met on his patrol. He groaned at the circumstances and took a quick moment to look himself over, this wasn't the best way to make a first impression with Azure, and though he had tried to adjust his clothes and fix his hair so that he didn't look like a complete fuck-wit, things had clearly not gone as planned. He still looked dirty from the field operations he was undergoing and the work he was putting in each and every single day and now he had gone and fucked that up, apparently.
Maybe it wouldn't be so bad? Maybe the leader of the Vanguard was going to offer him a promotion or a new job, but know from the tales he had heard of the Iramasha's power from other members within the Vanguard, Steiner had a distinct feeling that he was about to get his ass chewed out. Sure, he had never met Azure, and everything that he had done was covered in so much red-tape and undisclosed information that Steiner couldn't really make heads or tails of things. Yet, he felt an ominous air about all of this, and that ominsous feeling was all it took for the young man to get angsty about what was possibly coming his way. Hopefully this meeting would be more positive than negative, but Steiner got the feeling that things, as usual, were not going to go his way. So, he kept trudging, ignoring the feeling of dirtiness that he felt about his appearance and kept walking forward.
Stop being so worried about it. We both have no idea what he could want, besides? How bad can this Azure Iramasha guy be? Valus spoke up confidently, causing the familiar warmth to radiate throughout his brain as he did so, and Steiner stopped to reply to him. Its not that he is bad, it is that he has so much power at his disposal. He is the leader and as such that means he is probably one of the strongest people we will have ever met and as such...I don't want to make an enemy of him. Steiner's brow furrowed as he saw off in the distance the leader of the organization that he was now a part of, standing under a lamp-post, and staring up at the heavens. Steiner took a big gulp and gave himself an internal pep-talk as he continued his slow march toward the person with the most control over the Vanguard.
As he drew closer, Steiner became more, and more confused as to why he had been intimidated by this being the first place. Azure was about the same height and build as he was, in fact if he had brown hair, they might have appeared similar from behind, but none the less he knew better than to judge by appearances. He knew Azure had power and to sit here and underestimate him based on appearance would be hazardous. He walked up to Azure, hand clasped on the hilt of Excalibur for extra confidence, and then began to speak as clearly as he could. "Patrol Team Seven, member Steiner Franz, reporting in as requested, sir.", Steiner said with confidence, though it was only outwardly.
Internally Steiner couldn't help, but feel a little in awe of how many powerful beings he had met so far. It had only been a few short months since his powers had awoken, and now he had met a plethora of random beings with powers that made him feel insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Yet, he knew that if he kept pushing, and working at it, then he would be able to make something out of himself. His goal of being a hero was still fresh in his mind and he was still seeking to become someone who could be relied on in times of chaos to protect others. That is why he had joined the Vanguard, to further that ideal, and push himself to new heights. So far, he had made zero progress in growing stronger, but the foundation of his powers was already solidly built, and all he needed to do was build on it. He just didn't know how to do that.
Training by himself had no effect as he seemed to only be able to grow stronger by fighting beings of a higher caliber than himself, which was hard to do without running into people with menacing intent. In truth, he needed a mentor, and though Cirno had taught him a lot, she wasn't his mentor. She was barely around for the Hero of Honor and that made him sad, but he understood she was busier with her more prominent pupils, after all Steiner was probably the weakest of all of her trainees, yet he made due, and moved forward. "May I inquire as to why I was called up from my patrol duties, sir?", Steiner asked, breaking his train of thought and focusing on the now instead of what the future held or the worries he had.
He needed to stop worrying about that and focusing on the now, more so than anything. As he wasn't going to get stronger by thinking about it and instead he would just let things come to him and worry about them later. He took a deep breath, giving Azure his best game face as he possibly could.

As the night slowly pushed it's way towards dawn, Azure Iramasha continued his current wait for his fellow Vanguard member. Steiner Franz, a lowly member that was barely known throughout the entirety of the Vanguard. It didn't mean the male wasn't important, every person within the ranks of Azure's command were the most important of things for him. He was family, whether Steiner knew such a thing or not. Nevertheless, the impatient Leader continued to tap away at the marble walkways of Magumi Square.
Looking to the distance, Azure's heart thumped once, twice and a third time. The vibrations were harnessed naturally, as if it was something that was akin to the male's kind. As the vibrations sped through the Iramasha's body, he focused on a single point quite a ways away. The vibrations that had traveled from himself to the ground had picked up movement of a being in the outskirts of Megumi square. They walked as if they were rock. Not the good, solid rock. They were sedimentary, as if it was a guise that was placed into their movements. This was sure to be Steiner, Azure wouldn't doubt otherwise.
A smile filled Steiner's Commander's face, the bright blue eyes of the Hybrid flashing as he tapped his foot even quicker. He was prepared for quite a bit of work here tonight, something he hadn't gotten to do since the actions he placed upon a fellow member of the Vanguard. Desmond Hayden, a boy that only meant good but didn't know everything he wished to do. Not that the leader had any room to talk, he had his own screw ups throughout his time as Vanguard Commander. Without another thought, Azure flung his cloak against his body once more, allowing himself to crouch against a nearby lamp post once more.
You're absolutely dreadful. How does anyone around here fucking deal with this stupidity?
It was just like Husk to make his apparent of himself obvious. The voice bore into Azure's thoughts as if it were megaphone. Screech after screech, the broken soul spoke to itself as if he meant something of value in the near future. Hopefully, Azure would simply get to have his fun with the member. He enjoyed taking members and pushing them to points that they could never imagine before. It was a goal of his, those beneath him growing powerful so one day they could take his position. Whether it was through death or killing him, he simply wished for his "Kids" to grow strong and genuine. A group of lackies that did nothing but good, for that's what the Vanguard truly stood for.
The Iramasha shook his head, shaking the feeling of the future as he watched Steiner approach. The first feature that struck Azure's mind was that of the boy's eyes. They matched his own in near perfect hue. It was a striking feature that most remembered of Azure, that and the pink hair he used to dawn in the recent past. Eyes widening in excitement, the man brought himself to a standing position once more.
Steiner was stern and forward despite the odd shake in his voice. The man grasped his blade as if to state that he was wary in general, not knowing of Azure's nature. Most didn't know Azure personally but most knew his mentality. He was a leader that pushed both himself and those he worked above to make the world a better place. Even in instances such as Iceland, there was never a moment where Azure did not think of his own. Steiner fell into such a category, something most did not understand about the Iramasha. Even after everything that had happened, he still placed his "family" before himself. Husk of all people despised it the most.
"Azure Iramasha. Vanguard Leader, er, not that you didn't know that hahahahaha."
The man chuckled to himself laughing at the stupid statement he had just made. This was typical of the leader when it came to talking to his subordinates. It was less of a formal interaction than it was an informal one. Taking a look at the boy's full figure, Azure noted that he was not simply a lackie. He seemed to be maturing in a way most Vanguard members did.
Azure Iramasha had always kept tabs on Steiner, just as he did others within the Vanguard. Promising activity only allows Azure to figure out those who would be like him, a group that only want to get stronger and stronger. The male wasn't so adamant about his strength anymore, but the strength of others was a clear goal he had in mind. Augmenting and helping those who wish to not defend just themselves but the world was an average job for the Iramasha, now that he was the leader of the Vanguard.
Realizing Steiner had spoken once more, Azure shifted his gaze to the side as he brought his hand to his head. Scratching at the top of his cranium, the man chuckled once more as he began to walk away swiftly.
"You probably haven't been told, but a few of the vanguard members you have met already have met with me personally. They have a bit of a special case in my eyes, something that I'm always placing on you now that I've seen a bit of progress from your initial recruitment."
This was the only time Azure would be caught talking as he did. With that came a cackle within his mind, Husk giggling at the interaction between the two Vanguard operatives. With steps that reached a decent length ahead of himself, Azure placed his hands once more into the cove that was his cloak. He was simply biding his time now, turning abruptly to walk backwards. While doing so, he studied the hopefully following Steiner, speaking aloud for a final time.
"I'm strong, I can't deny that anymore. That isn't very important to me, though. Just like those that you have met before, you're deemed important to me. You'll get training, whether you want it or not."
With yet another one hundred and eighty degree turn, Azure Iramasha stepped lightly forward as he reached the center of a large barren space within the Plaza. It was large enough for the training Azure intended on giving to Steiner. So, whether the man truly wanted to interact with him or not seemed to not matter anymore. Steiner was pulled into the trap just as others had been. He was a student now, one that would hopefully wish for the training.
