A Game of Cats, Wolf, and Dragons {Tina. Private}

It was dark, balmy, and dry in the cave she was now residing in. As the sun set in the sky and the last rays of light left the cave, Neya heaved a sigh and looked over her wounds. Her tail was covered in cuts and bruises, her left leg had a large gash on it, and her left arm had a large thin cut from the wrist to the elbow joint. She felt across her face, the warm scales alright, but on her right cheek, she noticed a few had been removed and she was bleeding. None of these wounds were fatal, but they were problematic. If what was out there got a hint of her blood, she would only be able to hold them off for a short time before the blood loss and exhaustion made her make a mistake. There was no doubt in her mind, that her life was at stake in this dangerous game of cats and mouse.

“What have i gotten myself into this time Myuto? This was a bad idea, especially for someone who is trying to become stronger and better at hand to hand combat, and i just jump into a place heavy in hollow activity and hope for the best...and i end up more hurt and less experienced…” The mental voice of the Zanpakto spirit chimed into her head. “you mean what have you gotten US into, dearest….i told you during the fight to just use some kido or one of our powers, but you were just so determined to use just our claws tail and fangs….and we are now injured and have our back against the wall…”

Neya released a huff alongside some black smoke and rubbed her head softly. “i know, i know...look, the least we could do right now is make ourselves scarce and try to rest and heal..and pray to Ryojin that some form of help comes….” She stands up slowly and draws her weapon. “Sing in sorrowful harmony with the voices of the forgotten, Myūto no suzume no kurushimi!” After her shikai is activated, Neya swings the end that contains the power of pyroclasm and seals off the entrance of the cave and then reseals her weapon and sits down and closes her eyes. “maybe...some help will come..maybe..someone...will find us..”

Sunlight glinted off her scales even as she clutched her hand to her injury. Beating her wings as the hollows she had been fighting gave chase, Tessa once more wished she had her blade upon her. However, she did not have her zanpkatou. It was part of the reason she was in this infernal place to begin with. Truly learn to fight with only my body, what was I thinking? Oh, right, I didn't want to become too reliant upon my blade. Turning around abruptly, her mouth opened and with a roar flames rushed forth from her maw. Watching as the flames tore through a portion of the beasts following her, Tessa immediately turned around in the air and pushed off, her flash step taking her further from those that following her.

However, unfortunately one of the more powerful Hollows had gotten wise to her tactics and split off from the main group and circled around. As her face turn forward once more, she felt the fist of one of her tormenters slam in to her chest. Gasping in pain her body flew backwards, slamming in to a protrusion of rock from the ground and falling limply to the floor of the blasted wastelands. Knowing her time was at an end if they caught up with her, the shinigami began chanting.

"Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens. Hadō 73, Sōren Sōkatsui!"

Wincing as the twin blasts of blue fire shot out towards the oncoming horde and come crashing down upon them, she grinned viciously as she saw that her attack had eliminated all but a few stragglers. Still, these stragglers slowly made their way towards her form, and Tessa was unsure she would be able to get herself out of this one.

As Neya relaxed and focused her mind upon meditation, she heard the screams of death and battle outside the new wall she had made. She now concentrated on the outside wall of the cave, on sensing who or what was doing battle outside. It was apparent to her that something stronger than herself was out there, and had slain a large amount of hollows. She focused more on the being outside. The powerful one. As she concentrated on their energy, she felt that they were familiar, someone she knew or had once known. her inquisitive nature was now starting to get the better of her. She reached to just beneath her throat and touched the small emblem there. "Activate system start-up, initiation code.." she paused for a second. The initiation code had been set by the suit's creator, and it always embarrassed her to say it. "Initiation code, red scaled hotness". Upon speaking the code, her A.T.H.E.N.E. suit activated and covered her body, the nano fiber material covering her body. The black material covered her head to toe, and seemed to meld with her scales and then became transparent. The two lenses to obtain tactical information and monitor other things coalesced over her eyes then became clear, and the HUD activated, gathering up all the information about her environment. Temperature, Altitude, Oxygen levels, her own heart rate, pulse, blood oxygen level, body temperature, and various other statistics displayed themselves for a moment then vanished, awaiting for her to trigger the display with a thought or a vocal command. She smiled.

"Ascenia sure does know how to make suits. this is very interesting. I cant believe I've used it so sparingly...if i should see her again i should thank her...and have change the password."

She looked at the rock wall before her and drew her weapon once again. She focused on the electricity of her blade, and had it surge around her, and it began to charge her Athene suit's reserves. She took a few steps back, and observed the rock wall. "Analyze structure" The command caused the lenses to become visible over her eyes, and a built in scanner activated and scanned the wall. It displayed a weak spot where the cooling magma was softer than the rest. with a swing of her sword, she focused a single pinpoint shock-wave to smash into the weak-point which caused the newly made wall to collapse, and Neya stepped back out into the wastelands. The scene before her was one of death. many hollows lay dead, slowly disappearing as their scorched bodies went to pieces, and the ground that had grass on it was burning still with the blue flames. She looked to the skies, and the lenses adapted her eyes to the sudden influx of light. "Tessa?!" she said rather excitedly. She was overjoyed to see her friend, but a roar from a hollow that had survived the flaming desolation caused her to look in it's direction. She sheathed her weapon and raised her left hand. " From the earth, spread your coils, the sky quakes with terror! The earth cries out, Hear her refrain! Bind the chaos!!! Draconis Canticum number three, Hebi tsuru shinobiyoru!!" Five green seed shaped energy bullets fire form her fingertips, and collide with the hollow. After a few seconds, green vines of energy wrapped around it and began to constrict it's movements. She then used the ice generated by her Zan, and fired four five foot long spears of ice from the inner edge of her Zan that carried a charge and after they pierced the Hollow, they exploded with the electrical charge and the hollow was blown to pieces. She spread her wings and flew to Tessa's side. "What are you doing here Tessa? IT is good to see you though"
