Artist: Corpse Party OST - Song: Chapter 1 Main Theme - Word Count: 740
"It's really no use at all, my little angel…" The Archbishop slowly laughed, his eyes staring into hers. He could 'smell' it. He could sense it. Deep within her… he could feel it.
"You have within you something more… and you're trying to hide it. Don't worry, my little flower.." He told her, his hand lightly reaching up as it clutched her chin.
"Do you feel trapped…? Yes, you do… but that means, do you know…?" He asked, his eyes looking directly into hers.
"That means you still have hope that you have yet to let go of… that means… there is still something that is holding you back from Khala…"Sunshine told her, before slowly releasing her chin.
"Do you know what the tenets of Khalaism are?" He asked her, turning back to the scene before the pair of them.
"Individualism and freedom of choice… those are the top two." He told her, a peculiar black mist slowly emitting from his body. That mist began to pour around the area, the demons down below slowly coming to a stop, falling to their knees. Animum would feel it as well… though for her, shadows instead would slowly begin to form in her vision.
"We cannot force anyone to accept our Goddess. However, that means we must also bear all our sins without denial." He said, before turning back to her.
"You are not a prisoner… and you never have been." The peculiar aura began to increase, Sunshine slowly walking towards her, a peculiar pink mist sliding out of his mouth as he breathed.
"You are you. The reason why you feel so much despair, why you feel frozen… is because you have not yet embraced the fact that you are dark inside." He continued to walk, and the shadows behind him slowly began to form.
One of them… was an image of Carter. The other… was an image of Kayta.
"Oh… little Animum… Don't you understand…? Their lies…?" He asked her, before turning his head back.
"You must be pure for them… you must be bright for them… ahaha...ahahah… they must have driven you so far in despair… I watched you as you struggled... I wept for you as you failed to understand... I failed as your teacher.. I beg for your forgiveness..." Parts of the images began to blur, as Sunshine looked at them.
"...You are you, Animum. You are who you are. Who are you? Are you what we say you are…? No… you are not. You are a being of power… but you have needs, as well. Don't you, my little angel?" He asked her, as the blood from the ground down below began to glow a bright red… and blood would begin to trail out from her shadow, flowing around them. The images of Carter and Kayta flinched, their bodies backing as the blood touched them, Sunshine's head gently moving from side to side.
"The ability to be who you are… That is what Khalaism offers to you. The ability to escape your cage. That is what we offer. I do not possess you. I want you to belong with us."Sunshine paused, before smiling as he reached a hand out, reaching up as he slowly as he pushed back the right side of the white fabric on her chest, showing the symbol that belonged there.
"You have given to us your body… but you've become confused. We forgive you. You are forgiven." He told her, before he reached the hand up, slowly pressing the palm against her forehead.
"It hurts, doesn't it? It hurts so much, that despair, that despair! You feel it, and it hurts? But you know why it hurts? It hurts because you still don't understand. Because you haven't let yourself be yourself. Because you haven't yet… embraced yourself. If you can do that… then our embrace, too, will be welcomed." Slowly, he drew back, turning back to the shadows with a look of disgust on his face.
"Hollow idols. That's what these are. They will never want to understand you. They will only want you to fit into their cookie cutter mold. They will never want to free you from your pain…" Slowly, he fell silent, before turning to her once more.
"...If you can accept those two tenets… truly… then I will become your tool… and show you how to help yourself… and it will become so much easier for you to embrace the love of our Goddess…"
