The Basics
“Im impressed Zwei, good job keeping up this far!”
Azuma had said, his words lost in the world beyond the sound barrier, a world he hadn’t thought that zwei would have been able to follow him into, and yet? She had managed it, she had managed to keep up with him as he was moving through the air at speeds that shattered the sound barrier, and blew clouds apart. It not only supprised him but it also impressed him deeply, and made him want to take this seriously, to go faster and to break his limits. So because of that? He would have instead of staying the course looked over at her, zwei the person who had managed to get his blood to a boil, to get his heart pumping and made it so that he could simply have fun, it was amazing to think that such a thing was possible with just his past, especially because of his past, which made it so that most things in life he didn’t really care for nor did he really find them to be consequential. Yet here in the clouds he found his comfort and found it along side someone who he trusted deeply.
So as zwei caught up, Azuma decided to don his mask and activate his bankai, and in doing so he would have been able to utilize the abilities of friction light, and used it in conjunction with friction around his body and the wind, slowly building up resistance like a band, and then finally? He would remove the resistance entirely and as an end result? He would go flying through the sky like a rocket, his speed easily quadrupling from it’s previous point because of how it was moving in conjunction to just how much energy he was expending to get to where he wanted to go. Yet as he zoomed along his shirt would be vaporized from the heat his body itself was generating and then zwei would be able to see it, something that he never showed to anyone because it was merely a reminder of his past, his gruesome past and the things he had to do to get to where he was today.
That reminder was the number 818 that was burned across his chest, and on his back, burnt there because it was his number. He was test no.818 and thus because of lionus’s sadistic tendencies he had that very mark burned onto his flesh in a manner that it would never heal it was to serve as his manner of identification, and for this very reason he tried to keep his shirt on at all times around other people, it wasn’t that he was embarrassed about it. It instead was that any normal person who saw something like that would most likely ask questions based on how it came to be, and what the reason for that being put on him in the first place was, and azuma just didn’t feel like explaining that to people. It was a part of his past that he didn’t really like to remember, because of all the lives he was forced to take, and more importantly? Because the past was something done and over with, there really was no point in brooding or being hung up over it.
“..Keep up Zwei!” ‘He’d bellow behind him, as he shot off into the distance, his speed reaching the point that the very water that was below him in the ocean seemed to boil and hiss with steam from the heat his body itself at this point was naturally generating from his immense rate of speed, as they seemed to be nearing their destination, closing the gap and getting closer with each passing second. The real question was in Azuma’s mind however, was would zwei be able to keep up with this heightened rate of speed, or would she fall behind and lose? That was something he just couldn’t wait to find out.
