Ichigo Kurosaki [WIP]

Appearance Description: Ichigo stands at just under 6 feet tall and of an athletic build and weighs around 68 kg. His most noticeable feature in his appearance would be his brightly coloured orange hair that often gains unwanted attention and taunts. His eyes are dark brown and his constant scowl still remains making him appear hostile and unapproachable to others.

As a Shinigami he is usually always in his black robes tied at his middle with a white sash. He carries his oversized Zanpakutō over his back held there by a strap. It has been noted by the likes of Jushiro Ukitake and Byakuya Kuchiki of the similarities Ichigo's appearance bears to Kaien Shiba a former Captain.

Personality:

From a very young age Ichigo was once a kid who always smiled, he couldn't stop smiling when he was a child this was mostly due to his positive start in early childhood and his great love for his mother, Masaki. It was here that Ichigo developed his complex need to save everyone and protect them with his life. He attended a dojo in order to obtain the right skills to protect his family and from there that number of those he wanted to save grew and so he started to take more risks to ensure their safety eventually risking his life to try and save a stranger on the edge of a riverbank.

As a teen Ichigo's personality changed dramatically, he was no longer smiling for one, and he became more rough and impolite. Here Ichigo's personality became more complex he was cold towards others sometimes and easily gave people the brush off rather than socialising. He was in fact seen as intimidating by his classmates and many avoided him.

He became this street punk kind of kid who got into way too many fights and into trouble often. It was mainly because of the local bullies would tease him or get involved with his best friend Chad that he would stand up and fight and thus gain his reputation.

Ichigo is outspoken, brave, Indifferent, bored, and borderline annoyed and is usually how he acts, alternating with cocky and confrontational when fights are involved, and occasionally extremely irate. He has even said so himself that if someone would pick a fight with him, he cannot help but fight back because of his short temper. His determination is a more positive trait of his and he has a relentless need to still protect those close to him despite his impulsiveness. He implies that he doesn't care what people think of him but that might not be all that true.

Despite his temper Ichigo has demonstrated he can be compassionate to others at times and genuinely doesn't want anything to happen to those he considers a friend, his trust and respect is often earned over time and once someone has this he puts his faith in them entirely. As he's grown older his temper has subsided a little and he thinks a little more before he acts or speaks.

Ichigo has a complicated sense of honour when it comes to a battle, he sees it as his duty to protect his friends and family's honour more so than his own, and act on their behalf. He is always seeking out revenge for those who cant fight back. He is adamant that a fight should be fair and both parties should be on equal footings, which also leads to Ichigo resenting his hollow for interfering with his fights. He is not one to slaughter his enemies or kill them when they already lost or can no longer fight. He also despises those who belittle their comrades and speak ill of their own side.

History:

Life as a human

Ichigo was born on July 15th, as the son of Masaki and Isshin Kurosaki, 15 years before he became a Shinigami. His sisters Karin Kurosaki and Yuzu Kurosaki were born a few years later. When he was four, Ichigo joined a karate dojo, where he met and befriended Tatsuki Arisawa. Tatsuki beat Ichigo in every match they had. Tatsuki would also help Ichigo if he was being picked on by bullies and cheer him up if he was upset.

Ichigo was able to see Pluses for as long as he could remember. He could see them so clearly that, as a child, he could not tell the living from the dead. This resulted in him appearing to other people to be looking at deserted places and talking to himself. This caused people to say that he could see ghosts, though when Tatsuki Arisawa asked him about this, he denied being able to see them.

On June 17th, when Ichigo was nine years old, he and his mother were walking home alongside one of Karakura Town's rivers; which was swollen from heavy rain. Ichigo saw a girl near the river and thought that she was about to jump into it. Unable to tell the difference between ghosts and living people, Ichigo ran towards her to stop her, unaware that the girl was the lure of the Hollow Grand Fisher. Masaki tried to stop him, but he did not listen. After failing to grab hold of the girl, Ichigo lost consciousness for a time. When he awoke, Masaki was lying on top of him, covered in blood. Starting the day after Masaki's death, Ichigo repeatedly skipped school to go to the riverbank where Masaki died. Tatsuki found him there, where he would stay from morning until night, wandering along the bank as if searching for his mother.

When Ichigo was twelve, prior to the Clinic opening, he answered the door to find a girl with her brother on her back. He had been in a car accident and was covered in blood. The clinic did not have the equipment necessary to save him and he died before an ambulance arrived to transfer him to Karakura Hospital. He remebered sitting with the girl trying to comfort her as she cried and it brought back all his distant memories of Masaki. Sometime later, he learned that the girl was Orihime Inoue.

Ichigo had just entered his teens and went to Mashiba junior High School. At this point Ichigo seemed to of gotten his punk like reputation and the start of his thug perceptions. During this time, Ichigo had finally defeated Tatsuki in a karate match and had not had another match with her since. Ichigo regularly got into fights with thugs, due to the unusual color of his hair. During one of these fights he protected Yasutora Sado from a gang. When the thugs later abducted Chad, Ichigo found them and knocked out their leader. He used the leader of that gang's own phone to ring for an ambulance for each of the five thugs, and then beat all of them. After Chad was freed they made a pact to protect and fight for each other, they have remained as friends ever since.

Shortly before Ichigo turned 15 and became a Shinigami, he and Chad began attending Karakura High School, and their reputations preceded them. During a fight with a gang led by Reiichi Ôshima, Ichigo and Chad met Keigo Asano and Mizuiro Kojima, saving the former in the process. While Keigo was initially afraid of Ichigo and Chad, both he and Mizuiro later became friends with them.

Life as a substitute shinigami

Once he became a shinigami Ichigo's life pretty much changed completely and he took on new challenges having to save lives of many people. He is since then growing in skills and determination. During the years that have passed Ichigo has trained to gain his hollow's power and gained experienced in battling many opponents.

Zanpakutô Spirit Appearance: The spirit of Zangetsu appears as a tall (slightly taller than Kenpachi Zaraki) lean-built, and stoic middle-aged man. He has pale skin, high cheekbones, stubble, and long ragged black hair with brown highlights. His attire consists of a tattered white dress shirt with an upturned collar and cuffs, black pants, low-heeled boots, and a long, amorphous black overcoat with a burgundy highlight that flares out into ragged ends. He wears brown-tinted, semi-transparent wraparound sunglasses. Because of the spirit's appearance, Ichigo tends to call him "Old-man Zangetsu''

[mod]Alright, apologies for putting this up, however, I'm going to have to stop you right here. I know you're new but I'll explain to you why you aren't going to be allowed to use Ichigo right off the bat:
First of all, Ichigo Kurosaki, as you may know, has played a huge role in Bleach plot, and considering that this site is based off of Bleach and has its history end during post-Aizen, this canon has left a massive impact in the Bleach's plot and is, of course, ridiculously powerful. Considering its influence in PH-wise, you know why.
Second, its because you're new and this character is a powerful 0-2++ too, and we don't simply give that tier off to a new member since 0-2++ is considered the top 1% fighters and is a tier that people HAVE to work hard on since we never give the tier out randomly to everyone unless, of course, special exceptions. Since you're new, we cannot just simply let you use Ichigo.
Third, trust. I won't say much but I'll quote this from Frost:

Ok right, i did think this was going to happen i was waiting for someone to say this, i understand entirety i worked my way up on the other Bleach site to get Ichigo as a character so i figured i might be put on some kind of trial or something. Would it be ok if i create maybe a custom character and you can see how im doing with one of my own characters?

[mod]Yes, you can create a custom character of your own and i'll see how you're doing with it for the next few months. If you reapply to use Ichigo Kurosaki for the next 2-3 months, I'll have this topic brought up to other staffs to see if you're good enough to use it properly without abuse. However, I also want to see how hard you work on this site as well, so we know that you'll use Ichigo properly and actively without abusing this character.[/mod]
