» Personality: Gon is strong leader and mentor to his family. often times trying to take the lead and help out. he tries to give off a sense of pride and wisdom everywhere he goes. often times hiding his true nature to people. Ok the inside he tries to deal either his inner demons and battles that force him to make choices and think things that are against his code of honor.

family oriented: Gon puts family above everything. he does whatever it takes to help his family. he would rather put himself in harms way than to let someone else harm his family. He has great pride in his family nd believes in them whole heartily. family always comes first for Gon and makes sure people know this. The main people that see this side of him are his brother and sister. Who are the closest thing to his heart.

Tough love: because of his love and high goals for his family Gon always pushes them to their limits. he will make them train harder every day and criticize them for not achieving certain goals that Gon sets. Whether its when training or dealing with life Gon pushes his family to do better. This makes him come off as stern or strict but on the inside he does this because he cares.

sister: after losing his sister Gon has gone into a stage of depression that he hides from others. Gon is constantly battling this grief because of his zaimichi spirit. Gon wants to forgive his sisters murderer for his actions but his zaimichi spirit keeps telling him not to. this inner battle forces Gon into fits of hysteria when he is alone. Often times Gon can control his hysteria and holds back his negative emotinos but on rare occasions he succumbs to his zaimichi spirits hate and it causes him to loathe his brother. Gon tries his best to ensure that makoto isn't around when he has to fight these inner battles. Although mitsuke is gone, Gon still feels like apart of her is with him. Cherishing her memory has given Gon inner power he needs to continue Fighting.

zaimichi spirit: As much as Gon hates to admit, he is not in full.control of his zaimichi. He will boast about how he has conquered his zaimichi spirit and has full control of it and it's powers to motivate his younger brother makoto. Although it is not true. Gon still battles his spirit everyday mentally. As his zaimichi spirit constantly fills Gon's head with negative thoughts of the past and his sister. The only Gon can possibly stop this is if he can defeat his zaimichi spirit once and for all.

zanpackuto: before becoming a zaimichi gon had already his zanpackuto. after he became a zaimichi he retained his zanpackuto abilities and are able to access them without any release or using his zaimichi spirits power.

abilities: Gon can manipulate and channel light around him. when using this ability the light he uses is surrounded by gon's reiatsu turing it black. gon can do a number of things through manipulating the light. he can shape into reiatsu blasts or harness it into precise lasers. the size of each depending on how much reiatsu gon uses. Gon can also use the light to create a small barrier around him. the barrier can easily be broken by attacks using around the same amount of force that gon used to project it. Gon can manipulate light to make himself semi invisible. by bending the light rays in a specific way he can reflect them to himself invisible except for a black outline surrounding him. at night this would be more effective but during the day it is almost useless.

Gon can start black flames by focusing light into one particular area and causing friction to the light particles. this make it appear that Gon is making spontaneous fire attacks. although for someone with a good enough vision they can see the light coming together and bursting into black flames. Gon can control the flames he makes until they are put out either from burning out over time or by the flames running into a dense enough object like a person or boulders or water. he can use the flames to surround his zanpackuto and add more power and add burning damage to his strikes.

Gon can draw in solar power from the sun. when Gon runs out of reiatsu can draw in power from the sun. but to do this Gon has to stand still and focus. he must draw his zanpackuto up to the sky and a pillar of black light will shower him. black light particles will fall and give him small amounts of energy. of course the longer he stays in this position the more energy he gains from this.

Gon cannot just use all light in the world with his abilities. He has a limited range of light that he can control. The limit of his manipulation is the size of a 2 floor house. The farther he tries to manipulate the weaker the power of the light. So he uses the light closest to him first instinctively.


Gon can only use these techniques barring the solar charge when he has reiatsu. each of these techniques drains him spiritually. with the flames costing the most reiats, then the blasts and lasers, then making barriers, and then invisibility costing the least amount. when Gon is drained of reiatsu he can no longer control any form of light and is almost powerless.
