» Item Description:
This item is very similar to a Quincy's bow in that it is considered nigh useless in its sealed form. However, this item is still an Artficial Zanpakutō, and therefore even its sealed form contains power. When this item is thrown, it becomes hardened by its user's spirit energy, turning into a whirling spiral of death with an ability to cut very similar to that of a Zanpakutō. After it is thrown, the bow then will return rapidly to its original owner, trailing towards the hand that threw it and returning without any sharpness at all back into it.

Shielding
The other function the bow has, which the user may or may not discover, is the ability to inject a lot of spirit energy within it without ascending to Shikai. If this is done, the bow will expand, becoming much larger, as large as a normal man's torso. Now, this has two uses. Either it can be thrown like explained above, or the hardened state of the bow can be used to shield against attacks. While it does stop brute force, a sharp weapon may penetrate it, exposing the user to harm.

Shikai
When this weapon is released into its 'Shikai' form by injecting a decent amount of spiritual energy into it, it changes completely. The bow unravels, flowing outwards as a single string runs between the two ends. Finally, it becomes a complete bow, prepared for use by its wielder, a deep sapphire blue in color. The bow is interesting in that its size is able to be changed at will. It can be a short bow, a longbow, or even a great bow depending on how much energy the user decides to put within it. Important to note is that this form is decided upon once the user releases it, and it remains that way throughout the transformation. The transformation ends when the user is unable to continue feeding the weapon energy, or it is broken. It's durability is substantial, but it would not survive against extreme attacks.

Rapid Firing
This bow can maintain several arrows at once, as once an arrow is slotted into it, the bow will use spiritual energy to hold them there. In addition, the bow can have spiritual energy infused within it to create 'copies' of arrows that are placed within it, as many copies as the user's energy supply will allow if they so choose. In addition, they are able to choose whether or not to have arrows fired from the bow, meaning that they can fake out others by choosing not to release the 'hold' that the spiritual energy has on the arrows.

Homing
In addition, a scope appears on the bow. By looking into the scope, the wielder is able to specify a target, and the bow will affix itself to that target. Once arrows are shot outwards from the bow, they will race towards the target as long as the sight is trained on them, and will only stop once impact has been achieved or they have been destroyed... or they run out of the energy sustaining them. This would usually take about a post for most of the arrows. In addition, it should be noted that this increases the energy use of the arrows, taking roughly 50% more power to create the copies when used in this manner. Only one target may be acquired at a time.

Bankai
The Bankai for this weapon has not yet been unlocked. However, due to its nature as an Artificial Zanpakutō, it will be unlocked once its user has gathered enough power to force it to unlock. From there, it will gain an effect based on the wielder themselves, and the Bankai will be molded by that influence. It's important to note that the forms of these weapons effect only the weapons themselves, and confer no automatic benefits back to the user. As such, they could be thought of more as 'leveling up weapons' than anything else.

» Hebi Resarch Notes:
This was not particularly difficult to create... perhaps the hardest part was finding the correct formula to cause for the Artificial Zanpakutō to form into a bow upon the transformation into Shikai. Eventually we managed it with the unknowing assistance of a 'subject'... but it was enough for what we desired.
