This match will take place in a hilly valley. The sky is coated in an emerald overcast and the air is very humid and hot. The area expands for roughly a size equal to that of a country on par with Canada. The opponents will appear via teleport in a large field roughly twenty feet away from each other. Whoever post first gets the 1st advantage. With that said: let the battle begin!

The flash of light that indicated the arrival of the two fighters was very bright and brief. Shortly after teleporting in, Valentina looked around to try and find her opponent, and thankfully she would appear no more than 20 feet away. That made finding her easy as opposed to her last fight. Adjusting her scarf to make sure it properly covered the lower half of her face, Valentina looked over her opponent and sighed. Of the two, Valentina was the bigger one in terms of size. However that just meant the littler one might be harder to hit. If she was a speedy one, that is.
"So your opponent is a Sugiuran." Piped up the voice in the back of Valentina's head. The millenias year old dragon Michael, once revered for his power and infinite knowledge/wisdom who was now reduced to a broken image of his former self. He couldn't even fully leave Valentina's inner realm without literally dying instantaneously. His spirit was broken and forced to fuse with this little hybrid girl in order to survive. Otherwise he would have died almost two decades ago.
"You mean that recluse of a race that apparently doesn't do much outside their own realm?" The woman muttered to herself, looking off to the side like Michael was just over her shoulder. A small chuckle was elicited from Michael in response to Valentina's comment. It seemed she was right for once.
"You catch on quite fast, little one." Michael praised with a clearly pleased voice. It wasn't often that Valentina heard Michael even remotely happy like this, but just the thought of a little smirk on the massive dragon's face was mildly funny to the girl. If she wasn't wearing her scarf, the Sugiuran that she was supposed to fight against would have seen her smirk of amusement. "Now..."
"...Shall we begin?"
"Of course."
The next thing that happened went by at speeds that were not visible to the human eye, or even some spiritually enhanced eyes either. The speed at which Valentina moved made it look like she was teleporting, as it was twice the speed of the average Shunpo at her power level. Her sword was completely unsheathed and held in a reverse hold out in front of her, but at the same time her sheath itself was gone. That was because Valentina had flung it away, aiming it at the Sugiuran that stood in front of her. The aim wasn't perfect but it was flying at the girl's left eye, and even if she could take the hit normally it was her eye that was about to be hit. There was nothing special about the sheath that Valentina had shot at the girl either. It was just a leather sheath big enough to hold the sword that the girl used so often, it wasn't meant to be damaging. It was merely a distraction in this case. Just as fast as she had sheathed the sword, Valentina had vanished completely and was now several dozen more meters away. She wanted to see how fast this girl moved, and so in preparation she bent her knees and lowered her center of gravity to her feet. Flipping her sword fancily into a normal hold, Valentina held it out in front of her in a Samurai-esque stance. Yet her sword wasn't a katana. That didn't mean it wasn't a decent stance for fighting, and it was one she used often for defense.

Valentina didn't expect her sheath to actually hit the girl in the eye, nor did she expect such a reaction from her. It seemed she was genuinely upset about something -probably being hit in the eye- and it almost instantly made Valentina feel a little guilty. Then again this was a tournament, she should have expected it. That didn't make the fact the girl was crying weigh any less on her shoulders. Letting up her stance, the draconic woman watched as the Sugiuran maid started yelling at Valentina. Something about... introductions? She could feel Michael shifting around in uneasiness, as if he thought the girl was lying. He was right, it could be a trap, but Valentina couldn't help but feel guilty otherwise. Maybe a few words would help her decide whether or not this was just an act.
"W-Wait..." Valentina said. "You wanted us... to introduce each other first?" This was a legitimate question, as Valentina was very curious whether this girl was being serious. It was possible, as she had met stranger people. Namely a small doge girl and her little sister, but that was something else. Looking at the girl, she could see tears that signaled her emotions out to her opponent. Again, Valentina couldn't tell whether or not they were fake. There was only one way to find out, however. With a sigh, the redheaded woman stood upright from her stance and flipped her sword into a reverse hold. In a blink, she vanished and reappeared next to Maid-chan, stabbing her sword into the ground and holding out her hand for the girl to shake.
"Valentina Abbaracciabene." she uttered to the young looking Sugiuran. "And you are?"
If this girl thought Valentina to be suspicious, then there really wasn't she could do to change her mind. All that the redhead could do was look as relaxed as possible and not make any sudden moves. That would be what at least made her seem less threatening. The threatening looks and behavior were for when they actually had to fight. For now, a short conversation was in order. Or at least, short introductions. Valentina could feel Michael's disapproval in the back of her mind, but she pushed it away and looked this girl in the eyes. Hopefully, this would go well.

I'm just dropping this notice to nudge Lilith into posting a bit. You have a week to post in this thread before we need to move on. However, if you get in contact with me, I can probably try and work out an extension. We just wanna move things along.
