Re: Dr.Hebi VS Nozomi [Platinum Heart Tournament Event]
Fri Aug 28, 2015 9:48 am
The concept that she could see the minute twitching of his eyes was only something that the Doctor could think about outside of the realm of Absolute Zero. During that time, he did not have the mental facilities to process or feel even that much extraneous information. The Doctor was using Dust Energy efficiently, to his knowledge, just as much as Nozomi was using that Victor III of hers (Esper) to increase her own dominion of power. The Doctor did not expect her to tire of it; after all, was a swordsman complained to when he chose to use a sword for nearly every attack? Depending on how this fight progressed, it was possible that the Doctor would have to switch to something… more adapted. Indeed, that was a large part of the Doctor's personality; to adapt and find the solution to any problem given before him. Nozomi was the one unsolvable riddle in this regard… but he wouldn't give up. That was also why he followed up by using that eye again. Even if he had already used it once, that did not change the fact that this was not strictly a game of chess. The Doctor's actions were full of 'noise'. No matter what else, he was still insane, still full of chaos, a being which defied down to its very core the instilling of Order which Nozomi's Esper represented… or that is what one part of his mind believed, at least. So when he saw that mirror, he could only smile. Out of all the possible reactions that she could have to this movement, that was the one which he had expected the most. From his previous encounters, it appeared to the Doctor that Nozomi quite enjoyed the act of turning someone's attacks or abilities against them, 'manipulating' the circumstances to prevent any harm that could be dealt to them. As he looked into his own reflection, directly into the Rinnegan, he smiled widely, his hands stretching out to either side as the purplish black flames exploded on his own left side of his face, his mouth opening as a wave of pure Chaos energy flowed out of his pores, swiping up the flames and scattering them away with a pulse of Madness-Wavelength infused Chaos as his face remained, seeming completely unscathed. That was the truth of this body that he currently wore; it was very durable. It was very fast, and it contained a great deal of strength. This was the Stein State, and something like his fire, while it left burn marks and destroyed the front of his eyelid and burned his hairline, could not cause continuous damage as he shot the pile of energy into the Esper that was surrounding them. "Thank you, I could not have created that perfect of a reflection if I tried."He told her, as the eyelid which was now closed slowly began to change, being converted into a strange blackish-purple. "...You see… to have these eyes reach their next level… injecting them with their own flames was necessary. It was what would force their next evolution, according to my research." The Doctor informed her, a small smile on his face. It was true enough that his research into the eyes proved that stress was the main cause for their improvement. However, whether this kind of trauma could improve their abilities or not… the Doctor did not know. He did know, however, that he would absolutely love it if the Eyes own attack was able to improve it. "…" The Doctor fell silent, his right eye still looking at Nozomi as he saw no verbal reaction to his statements. He knew well enough the supposed 'emotional tax' of what he had done. He knew it better than anyone. And yet, as in almost anything, it was not the full story. Nagato was also what had taken the life away from the man known as Yin Yakushi, the man that the Doctor should have become, a light hearted gentleman who could do anything if he was pushed to it. Meanwhile, Nozomi's curious little ability's curiosity was trying to pierce the veil around his eyes. However… the mode of transportation which it decided to take was not the best idea. The Madness Wavelength would cause for Nozomi to take in some small glimmers of the real effects of the eyes that she expected, such as the ability and circumstances behind using that fire. She would see it's near omnipotence, but not complete omnipotence, in simple ocular ability. However, beyond that, she would also find that it could cause for objects to teleport, allow for him to copy any technique he laid eyes on, allowed for him to summon meteors from the sky, a variety of different and unique abilities that according to the Madness Wavelength's connection with the Arius definitely existed. If Nozomi was able to tell that these were not exactly correct… then she would perhaps realize something else about the Doctor's mind. It had been… altered. It was fundamentally different than it had been before, since their last encounter. He observed the clean hit on his opponent's weapon, noting that she seemed to care about dispelling the bomb with the actual weapon. ..What does that mean…? Hmm… A series of possibilities surged through his mind once more, following the usual data streams around his consciousness. "...Careful, Dimiprin." Were the two words that left the Doctor's mouth as Nozomi's hand reached for the Artificial Zanpakutō, as the Esper in the area would register the sudden increase in force. The entire length of the weapon was now vibrating at terrific speeds as she reached out for it, causing something that felt like an earthquake along the ground and impacting all the Esper it came into contact with. The arm that she reached towards it would likely be decimated into pieces from the force of vibration unless that Demonic Form of hers was able to mitigate some of the damage from such a large weapon moving against her. His rinnegan continued to observe her, noting that blue energy which covered around her body, watching with intense interest as he observed her technique, and more importantly, how she pressed it against his weapon. …………. I like… that move… He thought to himself as one of the processes in his mind returned a reference: the time when she had knocked him out. He wondered if this was something similar… But as he examined the pieces on the ground, he observed the sword's essence, the Rinnegan on his right eye expanding as it took in a new optical field, having glimpsed its edge as a result of Nozomi's attack. Now it could view the weapon's essence, and it made him smile. "Oh my… that must be quite awful against regular Shinigami… you could destroy half a man's soul like that, Dimiprin…" He told her light heartedly, even as he began to take in the concept of damage control against a movement like that. The Doctor suddenly screamed, his body freezing as his eyes lulled back into his skull. Every fragment of his mind suddenly shifted, the entire focus of his mental processes focusing in on Nozomi's attack of consciousness as in that moment, not just one mind… but seven would appear before Nozomi's assault, and the Doctor's own conscious gripped her assault on his mind, dispersing its elements among the eight and greatly weakening it as a result. He could not erase it completely, that much was true. However, the Doctor had learned much from his last encounter with Nozomi. The first was the fact that the Doctor hated his inner consciousness being restricted. He hated being restricted, prevented, controlled in general. So it was that he had installed a failsafe, through the implementation of the Gray, the mental council he had formed. Yin, Yang, Mu, The Doctor Himself, Vladimir, Undertaker, Executioner, Count Sangre, and Sir Akat. All of the 'minds' within him took on parts of that burden, each taking on part of the burden. "...I won't… forget…!" The Doctor struggled, having comprehended the nature of the attack through having seen it broken down, his eyes nearly bugging out of his skull as the attacks he had planned faded as he performed them, not losing his grip on Dust entirely but enough that the massive focus required for those actions was unable to be completed. He was not completely cut off fro musing Dust; for the first time, perhaps, he had to act reactively, and now Nozomi would see part of how the Doctor had changed himself to deal with her. He could use it barbarically, calling upon Mu to help fill in the basic gaps that he was being prevented from using and that Mu had lost, using the two consciousness to piece together the attacks, if necessary. But it was true enough that he would no longer be using it to the sophistication and extent which he should be able to. Within the Doctor's mind, a meeting which transcends Space and Time takes place… "She… has infringed upon our dominance… we should refuse to grant her any further interaction." The man known as Count Sangre commented, his eyes looking around the table as he folded his arms, his pointed teeth showing as he gave a scowl. "…." The man whose body was made out of scraps of paper that were constantly drifting and shredding away from him, Mu, the Ziamichi Spirit of the Doctor, looked over at his master, the cloaked figure at the head of the table. "Hey, hey, hey! I say we still try to rip her up! You never know what we could find out by killing her totally! So she messed with our heads! That just makes it MORE FUN!" The state called Yang unleashed, its trademark edge-to-edge smile clear as it smashed its right fist into the mental table between the seven, laughing slightly as he did so. "...I'm not sure… I feel like she betrayed our trust a bit.. She uses Esper all the time… What's wrong with using Dust Energy as we have in order to counter it?" The more level-headed being across the table from Yang asked… the one who went by Yin. His eyes were filled with concern, even as he slowly lowered his head. "...Who knows… maybe she's in pain… She doesn't use 'Sumashuu' any longer…? Did we not battle against such a man with that last name long ago…? Could he have… Hmm…" "Ah, don't worry, don't worry~" The fifth man at the table to Yin's left stated, his arm that was little more than a sleeve showing as he slowly waved the sleeve back and forth, a smile not quite as big as Yang's on his face, though his eyes could not be seen in the least between his mass of gray hair. "Let's just continue~ I wonder how beautiful she would look as a corpse~ Or maybe she'll actually… do us in~!" He giggled, putting that sleeved hand up to his mouth that did not show teeth, as the man to his left looked him in the non-existent eyes. "No. We should leave. She is not worth our time if she is resorting to such petty tricks." This man was the only one of the group whose spine was totally straight, his eyes wide, a pair of wings sticking out of his back. This was Sir Akat, who sat across the table from the Doctor. There were only two other men. The first was sitting in the corner, his head pointed towards the ground. That was the Executioner, the consciousness in charge of the Doctor's heart. He did not speak much, or hardly anything at all, but he seemed bothered as his hands reached up, scratching at his forehead as he slowly drew blood. "...Well then, Sir Akat… if that's what you believe… Then clearly that means we're staying." The Doctor said definitively as he looked Akat right in the eye, tilting his head. "Yes, it is agitating that she tried a move like that. However… this could also be seen as a challenge. She wants to see more from us… that's what I theorize, at least… She wants to see more than just something she saw before used in different ways. As much as she has changed… it feels as if she has largely stayed the same. Perhaps that is why she allowed for us to live the last time…" The Doctor trailed off, before slowly reaching his right hand out. "Now, vote." Tally of Votes, starting from the top of the table and moving Right. Dr. Hebi: Staying Mu: Staying Yin: Leaving Undertaker: Staying Sir Akat: Leaving Count Sangre: Leaving Yang: Staying Executioner: Leaving Tiebreaker: Dr. Hebi Result: Staying. Meanwhile, on the outside once more… The Doctor's body was now thrust before Nozomi, feeling much weaker than before when he was surrounded by Dust. However, the Doctor understood that this was simply psychology working against him… and realized that an attack was about to come at him, where Nozomi was still cloaked in that peculiar demon form. ...Can't take that risk. The Doctor's mind flashed as the scythe in his hands vanished, sliding into his body as it slid around his back, looking Nozomi directly in the eyes as he observed each one of her movements, his mind racing as it caught up to the situation, his hands flashing out as each one took one of her fingers to itself. Critical… damage…? The Doctor's eyes widened immensely, his physical reaction to show his awe as the stitched partitions of his hands in his palms suddenly exploded, crumbling down into nothing between the stitches as only the flesh remained. [i]… Hmm… The Doctor began contorting his arms then, having up to his wrists touched in each of the wrist portions as he destroyed from the inside, not a drop of blood falling but his inner organs being devastated with raw destruction. ...It attacks me…? But not… this Skin… … The properties of what made this skin unique passed through the Doctor's mind. What did it have that his body did not? Comparing the lists of the two, one trait, a single trait, returned to him: it was forged as a 'perfect' piece of flesh. This skin was created from bits of Suzu's own Hierro, the woman who had created a perfect physical form. The reason for his arms being devastated… well, the Doctor's mind looked back at what he had done so far… and he came down to the Spirit Shock. That was the only attack which he had utilized directly through his arms, and in that moment the Doctor realized… ..>Wait…? Dimiprin is…? The pain was excruciating, of course. So excruciating that it was taking the part of the Doctor's mind which processed the pain much longer than usual to give their field report on exactly how much pain he should be feeling right now as a living being. Ah well. More importantly, bits and pieces all along his arm had been devastated, his legs pressing against the plate he created as he attempted to escape, and instead of his chest exploding, instead both of his arms burst in different places. But not a drop of blood was spilled. "..Dimiprin…" He muttered, his vocal muscles seizing up due to their proximity with his arms that had suddenly had such a cataclysmic eruption, slowly, his body began to fall away, slowly lowering towards the ground, the gentle falling of his body looking up into the sky as he continued to fall down, and as he did so… The flesh that was around him suddenly burst open. At last, his chest exploded as it was supposed to. However, what emerged was not blood, and Nozomi could watch as the skin that he was surrounded with seemed to pour away from him, as if he were leaving a cocoon. The flesh on the outside wrapped around him, flowing across his now nude form as he leaned out of the old skin that he had been wearing, the Snake shedding away its 'skin' as the screw that had been in his head remained with the old skin. The Doctor had decided to reemerge outside of Stein State, having converted what biomass he had left after his shatterpoints were hit into his new body, reconfiguring himself as he reemerged so that he appeared again in one piece, his messy gray hair emerging as the skin he had created settled into place around him, his arms reaching out to either side as he began cracking his wrists. "…" The Doctor merely smiled. That would convey all the emotions that he desired to her, all the message that was included. His hands began to bring themselves together, his body leaning forwards as his mouth slowly opened. As he did so, Hebi reemerged, piercing through his stomach as it was birthed as its Snake form once again, wrapping and coiling several times around his torso as it finally wrapped around his right arm, his eyes shining as Chaos energy began to flow around his body. While it had not been used in the last battle against Nozomi, she knew what this state was. This was the Dragon Doctor, iconized by the horns that were growing out of his head and the slits his eyes were becoming. His teeth slowly turned into fangs, as Hebi itself began to grow feathers and much tougher scales. At last, the hands that had joined in front of his body began to change, before flashing through a series of hand motions, making symbols of the Bear, Ox, and Phoenix. None of them were necessary, but they would certainly make something for Nozomi to observe as he pressed the hands downwards, having landed firmly on the ground. Perhaps that had been his plan the entire time; to be able to reach the ground and have time to be there, expected by Nozomi. The moment his hands touched onto the ground was the moment when his ability would be triggered, and as a result of this activation Nozomi would rapidly begin feeling rather… cramped. This was from the moon itself that they were fighting on deciding that it was going to crush her between twelve miles of rock and rubble. The Doctor, for his part, stood within the Esper, though his body was being rapidly pushed out of it by the mass of rubble which was coming for Nozomi with enough force to move mountains. The Doctor had awoken the battlefield which they were fighting on. Driving through the ground was the chain that the Selve wsa manipulating, and the Doctor's initial touch on the ground had fired a single shot down, touching onto that chain that had been laden with his Chaos Energy, lying in wait. Once the Doctor's commandment had hit the chain, it would spread throughout the moon they were fighting on, converting the entirety of the thing into a living creature. This was the real reason that the Doctor had been so absolutely exhausted after his chain of attacks, which had really all started with the chain part. Looking downwards at where Nozomi was standing, he slowly pet Hebi's head, tilting his head to observe her as his snake's mouth slowly opened, a vial appearing as he wrapped his hand around it. He held it up to the sky, beholding it as two more mountain sized appendages rose out of the ground, spinning around as they smashed forwards into where Nozomi's body was, creating such a burst of force that the Doctor's own body was blown back, spiraling through the air as he opened his mouth wide, releasing the liquid into his mouth as he consumed it completely, his hands beginning to shake as a result as his eyes widened, static coursing through his mind as his mental capacities began to increase exponentially. The battlefield, for its part, was continuing its assault, projecting another six such arms into Nozomi's body. The truth was that the Doctor himself was not using any energy at all to maintain the terrific beast; it was now its own living creature, living with only the purpose of pulverizing Nozomi. The Doctor's body tilted forwards then, his hands flowing outwards as purple streams of lightning began to project from either hand, his head tilting back as his mind approached that near-infinite state once more, replaying within him the events of the entire combat so far. At last, he cracked his neck, his hands wrapping around Hebi as the snake began to change once more, becoming a Scythe once again…. Though this time, its appearance was different. A skeleton appeared along the end of its length, a now white blade emerging and flowing outwards as the pores on the Doctor's back began to open, releasing thousands of snakes as they extended outwards from his back, contorting and connected to one another. These were the Doctor's Snake Hell wings, opening wide as he continued to behold the devastation down below, before his back began to contort up straight. The contortions from his back appeared to flood along his snakes, as they began to change, turning from their regular serpentine selves into… well, feathers. These feathers raised into the air behind him, creating a pair of disjointed wings at his back, the black parts of the Rinnegan shining to gold as he beheld everything before him. "… The Golden Knight…" He muttered, as Hebi seemed to vanish, reappearing along his back as both of his hands began to twitch, swords made out of the peculiar Reiatsu Scalpels appearing in either one of his palms, expanding outwards to form twin longswords. The Doctor's hair also began to expand, flowing over even his eyes and down past the small of his back, changing from gray to a bright silver as he stood there, completing the transformation at last as he looked down at where Nozomi was standing, his eyes wide as he sketched one blade into the air. As he did so, the Japanese character for Blades appeared, and as the Doctor brought the sword back, the character shone, before releasing a cataclysmic amount of energy. These blades of energy soared downwards, slashing in from several different angles as they poured down towards Nozomi. But that was not all; the Doctor himself was soaring forwards, the blades held out to either side of his body as he looked directly at her. And then he smashed into the Esper as a golden white light encompassed his body. Death to the Unliving… You understand what such a technique means, don't you…? Kabuto Hebi…! Sir Akat inquired of his other half, the Doctor merely smiling as the Esper which came into contact with the golden light vanished, simply disappearing from existence as the very presence of their energy was evaporated, the Doctor's body flying towards Nozomi as he brought the right blade back, his wings exploding outwards to parachute him as along the length of the blade, that same golden light would emerge, replacing the entirety of the Reiatsu Scalpel with the golden light… and then his body vanished. This was the final test of Nozomi's Arius. If it could follow the Doctor as he became a part of the wind, the air itself, travelling through its very existence as he performed Air Pass, then it would definitively prove to him the capability of those eyes of hers. For his part, the Rinnegan could not see in this space, though it was still aware of everything on the outside. He reemerged behind her body, reappearing once again as he brought down both of the golden-white blades, slashing them against Nozomi's back as the muscles in his arms bulged, a bead of sweat leaving his forehead as the golden light left his arms, replaced with that golden lightning of Spirit Shock as he thrust the right hand forwards, reaching for the apex of those slashes as he released a massive torrent of the energy, flooding outwards around where Nozomi's body was as his left arm wrapped around the scythe at his back, a smile appearing on his face as its length began to increase, the Esper that was around it able to register the terrific amount of pure Spirit Shock that was now running through its length as it grew to over twenty feet long, sapphire in color and surrounded by stitches exactly like the Doctor's own body. With that exclamation, his scythe's special technique would propel it forwards, sliding through the air with a great deal as the massive construct of Spirit Shock coursed through the air before the Doctor's body, directly where Nozomi was standing, where his Rinnegan was registering her presence. The Doctor was laughing as he gripped back on that scythe, the strength of Stein State flowing through his body as a peculiar light began to emerge on his forehead, the scythe slashing over twenty times in the next three seconds as the Doctor's limbs became infused with that peculiar golden light, aiding his muscles in their assault as he made each and every strike at Nozomi's presence. At last, the Spirit Shock itself would shatter, along with the entirety of the scythe that the Doctor was holding, leaving him standing there with his wings brought in close to his body, quietly exuding that golden white aura once more, holding only the rod of his scythe at his side. "Now… my turn…" The Doctor muttered, as the Rinnegan focused directly in at Nozomi, before a change would occur. To Nozomi's mental facilities, to the Arius that could follow his Madness Wavelength, to that attack, the seal she had placed to varying effect within his mind… she would lose all contact. "...Haaa…. Nonexistence…" He muttered, as the true effects of the drug he had taken began to take effect. He had induced Non-existent thought process upon himself, the technique which he used during his Unstable State in order to handle the torrent of information of his most powerful form. However, he had changed its activation into something that could be used via a drug, the drug which he had ingested before. Now, his mental consciousness, his personality, the connection from his body to his very 'soul' had been removed. It was still there, technically… but it had gone beyond physical limits, now occupying the realm of the imaginary. And as a result, the Madness Wavelength around their bodies, as opposed to growing weaker as one might expect, began to triple and quadruple in effect, and over the time that Nozomi and her Esper had been exposed to it, it was now possible that it would begin to take effects, even extraordinarily minor ones… but for someone with as precise a thought process as Nozomi… even that .01% chance of chaos could be… problematic… ...It's a good thing she interrupted that Dust attack you were trying earlier, or else we would not have had the resources for that movement so soon... Oh shut it. You don't understand how little I care about what happens to this body, unlike you. Even if it tears me apart, I'll keep doing what I want! Tearing you apart, yes. That damage to your arms earlier... Do you think you'll ever be able to stop shaking? And what about the burn marks on your face? I'm only shaking because I thought that she had pierced the skin itself... seems some property of it prevented that from happening... my arms... I probably won't be able to regenerate them again during this fight... I doubt she'll give me the time... especially if she ups it again... The Rinnegan... has been seeing something... peculiar... something... hmm... Just try not to die, you pathetic weakling. Oh shut up, loser. His mental bickering completed instantaneously, as usual, the majority of his focus remained on Nozomi, as well as the Esper that was now completely around his body... |
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

«SENDING OUT EVENT NOTICES NOW»
Given it's almost been a month, and there has been no OOC update to this thread, and Trim is extremely busy to the point of having no time for the site, I'm going to draw the conclusion and have Dr.Hebi be the victor. If Dex is interested in drawing out this thread when she sees this post, she'll need to get in contact with me, otherwise, this thread is over. We need to move on with the event.

Artist: Savant - Song: Siren
As the silvery pool of reflective light faded into nonexistence, Nozomi observed from beyond it, curious about the sudden change. The attack seemed to have been expected, which was certainly a possibility, though the percentages were skewed by the fact that the Doctor had been intending to achieve this result in the first place; it was premeditated, a result of the foreign Rinnegan in his eye sockets now, that she'd not been able to take into account. Still, it was no foul result, as Nozomi was as much a researcher as Hebi was in this case. They were both like lab partners eager to see the grand concoction that had been brewed from their collaboration. The hues of his eyes darkened, evolving no doubt, and Nozomi was like an archeologist picking at the contents of this new mystery, from the moment they were born. She had to admit, however, that it was quite the unorthodox method to reach the next level of these Rinnegan. ''Quite interesting...'' was all the woman had to say on the subject, folding her hands behind her back and giving a thousand-mile stare with her endless black lakes.
Analysis was easy to execute with the Arius; second-hand. The fraction of focus detracted from her mind was like a small grain sanded off the face of a boulder, an arbitrary amount. Her ability to fight did not suffer as a result of combat, to any degree of intensity, and it was something that continued through the conflict. Even the Shatterstyle, which she used to decimate Hebi's false Zanpakutō, a style that required inhuman amounts of focus and control, was performed with point zero margin of error. That is why, even the intense vibrations of the weapon that would threaten the loss on a lesser person's arm would be pushed away harmlessly by the redirection ability of the Shatterstyle. Any sliver of inaccuracy would have cost her dearly, but as it was she was able to gently tide the kinetic energy off into the air away from her. Her fingers were as smooth as a baby's, untouched as they were at the beginning of this fight. The most surprising phenomenon about this is that the sturdy armor of her Demonic Form did not play a part in her defense. It was unnecessary thanks to her rebuff.
That's when the ocular attack of the Arius occurred, those orbs of her fastened to the sight of his. She sent forth a surge of her mental power, navigating those pathways of Hebi that were still familiar to her mind, seeking out the conceptation of the Dust element within his. It was very broad an ability, and yet simple—falling within the bounds of her mental block. She imprinted her seal upon it, and noted the reaction immediately upon the occurrence. 'Not surprising', he was very much aware of his own dominion. She would meet resistance as his consciousness strained against hers, like claws of a beast. She was a slippery one though, confident in her area of expertise, the mind. He would not be able to pin her down like this, as she evaded each and every attempt of his to catch her. The seal itself was in danger, however, as he would be able to undo it if it was just left alone. That's what she—this mental fragment of Nozomi—was here for; to stop those attempts. As he tried to wrest the Dust Element concept out from under the seal, she blasted him back with a force that repulsed and shredded. All attempts were rebutted similarly, for as long as she stood guard within him. Her reach did not extend over Mu, though, so he still possessed the ability to some degree, but it would be broken; weak.
The sight of a dozen figures in the distance of this plane of Hebi's mind, surprised her. As she caught sight of them huddled around each other rather than facing her, she raised her eyebrow. 'Is this a discussion? Within his mind? Is he not in agreement with himself? To lack total control of one's own mind... seems unpleasant.' The mind of an insane person had these moments devoid of logic, contrasting the everlasting perfection of her own. Chaos and Order? One was clearly superior to the other, so she wondered why people gave in to the former at their own will. Nonetheless, this represented a new opposition, one that perhaps could break the seal. She prepared herself for the defense of the seal, even though it did not seem like any moves were being made toward her just yet. One could not underestimate the senselessness of the Doctor. Now, there were two divisions of her mind focused elsewhere, though doubling a negligible distraction did not make her much worse off. The various processes worked synchronously, alongside each other.
Back in the realm of the concrete, the Doctor was making like a snake, and shedding his old body littered with wounds to birth anew with a fresh one. Nozomi watched, never quite one to take advantage of moments of seeming vulnerability, as she preferred her opponents to come to her—conceited, in a way, but mostly strategic. It looked as though he'd competely healed, and he would have, if Nozomi's Shatterpoint technique was not so thorough... ''The body does not forget the soul's wounds,'' she whispered mysteriously, her expression darkening and her gaze drifting downwards so that her bangs fell over her face. On cue, Hebi would notice the issue. He'd aimed to reconstruct the innards of his limbs as they were before being damaged, but the result only appeared to have shuffled around the biomass into a different mess. They were dysfunctional, and his arms remained useless at his sides. The damage went deeper than the bones and the tissue, into his spiritual form. Even the flow of his energy to those parts of his body were failing. His arms were but bags of organic material, weighing him down and in his way.
It was a good thing none of his hand seals were necessary.
The shift in the ground beneath her feet was impossible to miss. She twitched infinitisemally as she reconciled with the land coming alive with a fury. Not even the rock beneath her feet was neutral ground any longer, causing her to leap up into the air and suspend herself with Esper. Now, that wasn't to say all of this land was now under Hebi's command, and assuming so would be a colossal mistake upon the Doctor's part—the Esper still permeated the stone. Yet, Nozomi did not deign to activate any of the latent energy in this case, preferring to just allow it to act for itself. It had a will of its own when not directly commanded by her. after all, to destroy all other energies in the way. The same would occur with Hebi's if let be, slowly weakening his grand scale technique if only Nozomi could stall against the attack herself.
She breathed in through her nose and coiled her left arm back, awaiting the beginning of the assault. Like a serpant rising from the seas, a pillar of of stone lunged at her with the intent to crush her back down to earth and bring her under. It was not the only one, as they surfaced in a pack to come for her. Precise timing, impeccable accuracy, flawless control; Nozomi's movements contained all these traits as her hands moved around her, thrusting at the ophidian masses and striking with the tips of her fingers against their faces. Each time she touched one its momentum would be halted, its body exploding into debris as its cracking pounded against the ears. Soon enough, Nozomi was concealed behind a layer of dust, and not one piece of earth would have managed to enter the sphere of space around her that she controlled with her Shatterstyle. As her fluid movement came to a stop, the last stone snake will have fallen back down to the ground in a pile of rubble, joining its brethren. Nozomi herself crossed her arms in front of her with her palms open, showing off the steam that trailed from her fingertips as a result of using the Shatterpoint technique so many times in quick succession. She seemed... undirtied by any of the debris, as not even the small grains of dirt could pierce her defense. The odds had seemed so overwhelming at first, but all of it had been tided away with the lightest of touches.
Her head would rise, taking in the shining visage of her opponent now proceeding his transformation. This was something new as well, it seemed, and powerful. As he glided toward her, that aura of his would completely erase her Esper upon contact, sending it into nonexistence. That was more than enough justification to turn the Esper away from him, like a mother gently nudging her child in the right direction when it was doing something wrong. Also relevantly similar, the Esper continued to grow, as Nozomi continued to nurture it with the surrounding land. Since the beginning she'd been doing this, utilizing it as little as possible, building it up until it was large enough to crush her opponent. The realm of safety the Hebi had previously occupied was now completely taken over by the presence of Esper, and Nozomi's dominion only continued to expand.
Even if Nozomi had not had her Arius, her Esper would feel the disturbance of Hebi's all-too-obvious aura the moment he emerged from his Air Pass technique, allowing her to react. Ever original, the man chose to appear behind her, as if that made a difference to her ability to combat him. She didn't make a move, not at all, even after the precedent of being able to erase matter had already been established by Hebi. His blades came down to attack her, to erase her, but ultimately failed in their mission. A tragic scream that sounded like a distorted form of Nozomi's voice pierced his head as nails on a chalkboard would. It sounded as though Nozomi was suffering, yet the wounds nor the voice originated from her form—she was just standing there with her back turned to the Golden Knight.
The agonizing wail quickly began to shift into a demented laugh, sinister and crazed in nature. It sounded malapropos in Nozomi's voice, even from her Lunstig personality frame. What even took the hit? The answer was unclear at first, as Hebi's eyes beheld an amorphous darkness between him and his target, his blades imbedded into it and stuck there. As time passed, the form was refined, taking on the beginnings of a humanoid form, showing that the swords had landed into the shoulders of the shadowy thing. Some strange liquid emerged from its 'wounds' and dripped down onto the ground. It was not unlike blood, but it was black, like the same fluid that had dripped from Nozomi's Arius. Before the picture could clear up anymore though, Hebi unleash his second attack, plowing his scythe forward with an excessive amount of Spirit Shock contained within, perforating the entity with a soul destroying power. More screams rang out, coming from the shadow as it took the brunt of the assault. Nozomi remained still though, unharmed, not even touched by the Spirit Shock. All of it had been taken by the shadow, and the scythe was now buried in its stomach like the swords were.
Finally, the darkness began to recede to reveal the skin of the unnamed entity, showing a skin whiter than even Nozomi's pale tone. It was like paper, up and down the body. The shadows would lighten until it was nothing more than an outline around her body, and what was unveiled was a woman, equivalent in size, shape, and figure to Nozomi, just not color. The only apparent clothing upon this body was the neck brace loosely encircling her neck and the puffy mitts covering her hands, both them and her long hair white as can be. The only other color present was a piercing red, found in her striking eyes, her spiral body tattoos, and the blood dripping from her wounds (previously the black liquid from earlier). The woman's expression was exquisitely feral, but with an unsettling smile. The screaming had stopped, and laughing had stopped as well; she only smiled. The weapons embedded within her would not shatter, but melt, even before Hebi had dispelled them; he no longer had that kind of control over them. Rather, this girl seemed to have possession of them instead.
These weapons lose their golden glow, lost all of their color and becoming nothing but blackness. They turned into useless sludge and dripped away from her body, amalgamating into a disgusting pile at her feet. The wounds they caused remained though, bleeding profusely without slowing. This blood would continue to flow at a constant rate, as though infinite in supply. The girl ignored the wounds, and did not appear to be weakened by them. The way her expression showed such an unsettling amount of joy suggested that whatever pain she was feeling was rather pleasurable to her; masochism, to say. Nozomi... who strangely was lacking a shadow now even though by all logic the light should have created one for her... finally turned her head to her attacker and spoke monotonously.
''Saca Dila, Aera.''
That's when everything shifted: The Esper would awaken like a sleeping beast, felt throughout the entire area. It was time to act, and its first attack came for the Golden Knight. The aura of nonexistence, previously protecting him, now seemed in disarray near the one known as Aera. Her mere presence was causing a disruption to the abilities around her, including the passive ability of nonexistence. Aera emenated chaos—natural chaos—superceding the abilities Hebi believed himself in control of, and scattered the energies uselessly into the winds. Then with that opening created, Nozomi's Esper would arrive from all angles around him with crushing kinetic force. There would be a hiss of wind as it tried to escape the implosion, followed immediately by the impact. His unprotected body would be turned into a ball of gore in a split second, by all means, with Aera's chaos field disrupting his energy flow. Any techniques he attempted to use would likely backfire under these conditions.
''Saca Dila, entities from the Black World designed to be opposites of the souls in the living world. It was a very interesting discovery, to find something like this being developed in one of the many disconnected dimensions from the Living World. Very impressive work, to the one who made it. Naturally, as an agent of Order, or rather as the representation of order, my opposite would be the representation of chaos. Aera... who renders all to discord if beholding even the slightest bit of entropy. The only one who would be unaffected by such an ability is of course... myself.'' She looked up at the Doctor in the sky, still struggling with the mental invader she'd sent into his mind from earlier it seemed. He'd tried to flush her out with a drug of some sort, and unexpectedly it seemed to be working. A simple liquid was able to affect his mind in such a way that not even she could see what was going on, and where her consciousness was not able to reach. As long as he was in that state, she knew her mental block would be about as effective upon him as it would be upon a boulder, but the seal hadn't been destroyed... Once the drug wore off, he would be placed under her restrictions once more.
It was of little consequence. The tricks were done with, and now Nozomi had more than enough Esper to deal with her foe. Aera's awakening as well would prove a colossal boon against someone who was so close to the chaos. ''Order trumps Chaos, I've proved this, and was happy to be given the opportunity to execute the experiment thanks to the Black World. I already know how this fight will conclude, irregardless of how hard you try. Now it's your turn to realize it.'' Nozomi raised her arm into the air, as if offering a hand to Hebi, one that he would not be able to reach with the distance set between them. The act seemed coordinated with the Esper field, which collected thickly around him, but at a safe distance. It was crouched low and ready to pounce at the Quincy's signal. ''I've seen enough. Surrender, Kabuto Hebi, we can fight another day. Reaching the end of this tournament and acquiring that artifact is more important to me right now.''
