• Reasons For Upgrading: After his fight with Shinyru, Artorias would realize he'd need to expand his power, and this would be a good way to be more ready for battle at all times and while making him somewhat less defensive, would make him very much more adaptable. He could also achieve this with relative ease, as he has the current capabilities and all he'd have to do is change how his demonic energy manifests his body.
  What Are You Upgrading:

Acid Shell: Artorias' soul has been condensed into a solidified material colored crimson and shaped into a sphere with a 1.5 inch radius (4 centimeters). That is his only true body, and his demonic energy forms a shell around it as an outer body with his acidic demonic energy, kept dormant until willed active.
