This clash of foes will take place in a series of endless, stone halls. There will be occasional cracks in the floor that led into nothingness, items scattered throughout various hallways and there is a rich amount of energy in the air that the opponents can tap into. If the combatants are ready, they may begin fighting at any time.

As the area seemed to come into his vision the crimson haired demon walked slowly through the corridors of endless stone and seemingly abyss as the darkness below seemed to suggest. Akakotei had found that going and joining this tournament of such for the seemed strange item that seemed to create this world was novel at best. He hadn't the need to try and seek victory or even to participate within this fighting but the he had been feeling slightly stiff as of late, and by joining in on this he would hope that his feeling of tiredness would be undone. As he moved through the halls the Emperor seemed to be dressed to the nines, his outfit being a suit with red lining and red shirt with the blazer simply resting on his shoulders rather than worn properly. His eyes were sharp to notice any detail for the area around him, it seemed fairly blank but wide in terms of space for combat opportunities, moreover as the Demon walked slowly he noted quite a few weapons and other items of note for the sake of keeping the combat fair, at least that's what he expected such things were for but here he would doubt such things would be needed, for his case especially.

As he moved through the corridors of stone Akakotei did not feel any sort of presence other than himself, it may have been perhaps that his enemy had not found themselves in the area yet or hopefully they had made the good decision of not challenging the undefeated emperor in battle... Either way as he made his own way through the halls Aka had not found much of interest or something that would make the battle more favourable to him, his victory was assured in his own mind so such things would have no effect other than getting in the way or perhaps giving his enemy false hope, as such it would be needed to be removed beforehand. "This scenery is awfully drab... It would be nice to see something other than stone walls." Thinking back to his time before this as he looked to find some entertainment he grew bored quickly and found other ways to keep himself entertained as the current situation made it so he was trapped until he finished with his opponent or they admitted defeat.

Thinking of things he would rather be doing his mind wandered slightly thinking of his beloved wife and simply resting and entertaining himself at the family home. At this point he had made the decision to leave the manor of his own volition but he wished that he could have coaxed his most cherished away, but at the moment she was recovering and needed to do so to be healthy, and her health was more important to him than his own personal entertainment. However as he sighed as he found himself moving through another similar looking and still endless corridor he had hoped that his opponent would make their appearance soon, that way he could be done with the drab scenery that was beginning to tire him with its constant stream of the same over and over and over... If anything he would find that whatever did this would learn to not make anyone especially not the ones who are fight be forced to do so in such uninspired and dull places that made the Crimson Emperor more ready to finish these dealing even more so than he had been before...

I'm being serious here!

Lieutenant Colonel of Squad One

~K~u~r~o~O~k~a~m~i~

The young man, looking barely older than a boy, ran through the halls of the arena that had been prepared for the match of the Platinum Heart Tournament. He had joined simply to try his hand at winning, to push and challenge himself. He was dressed not in his typical Shinigami Haori, but his own special set of garments, black and color and set with seals of silver. This was a special costume he had crafted himself, and it even had a solid black hood that he could wear over the back of his head. While he was here, he did not necessarily wish to expose where he came from, in case his opponents decided that they desired revenge against him. However, there was little to nothing he could do about his white hair, or his unmistakable scar over his left eye, shaped like a star with its final slash pouring down below his pupil.

His nose began to twitch, his eyes narrowing as his pupil began to change, white rings appearing as his iris became pure black as night. What the…? A demon…? Here…? Kuro Okami wondered to himself, gently leaning back against a wall as he sat between two of the lights, sitting in a shadow. And these hallways are like a maze… This…. Is perfect… for how I fight… I need to focus now… Kuro thought to himself as he calmed his breathing down to nothing, holding his black arm before him as the connection point of his shoulder to his arm began to glow and flare up with bright light, his arm changing as his fingers extended into claws, entering battle mode as he concentrated.

He popped his Zanpakutō silently from its sheathe with his other hand, the blade shifting and merging into shadows as two daggers appeared, one in each of his hands. At last, he began to sink into the wall behind him, spreading his senses outwards as he detected the only other living thing here. Prey… The thought echoed within his mind, as he slowly sank all the way down into the shadows, losing himself as he moved his presence… now reaching behind the man himself, cast within his very shadow…

Then, the blade rose upwards, sky rocketing as he thrust his entire body upwards into the strike, attempting to cleave his opponent all the way across his back. From here, Kuro's body pivoted, his foot catching into the floor as he lowered his head, focusing his gaze as the black arm thrust forwards into the back of the man's skull, hard enough that if he missed the hand would crash into the stone hallway behind his opponent, crushing it into pieces.

In the case of that miss, the hand would grip forcefully onto the wall as he performed two Shunpo. The first moved him feet behind his opponent, before dashing in front of him, letting go of the wall as the hand opened wide, attempting to cleave through where Akakotei was standing.

After those strikes, Kuro would lower his center of gravity, his eyes refocusing on the face of his opponent. "My name… is Kuro Okami." Kuro explained, his body returning to a rigid posture as he held his blades on either side of his body, the hood covering over his face and revealing only his right eye. "And I'm sorry... but I can't promise a fair fight."

As he wandered the hallways still looking for any sign of a opponent or other company the red haired demon seemed to show little interest in anything that seemed to make up the remainder of this infinite maze, the same constant hallways within the light of the fire causing shadows to make up a small amount of the space that bridged the gap between the fires lit. The Emperor made his way with the same noble grace and disinterest that he had been showing for the entirety of his time there. As he turned the corner onto a new hallway he looked down with the same look of nonchalantness that he had kept for the remainder of his time as he walked along the corridor he eyes would adjust just once as he blinked before moving on, all seemed well and normal as before. However suddenly a blade seemed to spring outwards from behind the Demon's back! It would have been a quick and definite strike, but the Crimson Emperor did not find the assassination attempt to be all that original. As the blade struck upwards Akakotei would move with the littlest effort and yet avoided damage to his actual body, his clothes being the only thing cut to keep himself from falling off balance to his opponent. Though it looked as if he had taken the hit the demon would note his assailant's claw looking to pierce through his skull. For many it would seem a dangerous and otherwise fatal shot, but Aka was glad this time that his opponent was so willing to try and go for vital areas. It was the only way that he would feel threatened by him.

As the hand seemed to sail through to the back of his head the Demon still not looking adjusted his body and head to move with the momentum of the sword slash to have the hand pass with only more damage to the blazer upon his shoulders. But as the hand sailed towards the wall suddenly the Emperor's footing would be clearly grounded as his own hand would grab the claw flying towards the wall with his own hand halting its momentum with his strength. "I've not seen many who would use a shadow to strike a man, but your recon of me even for the second in the darkness made you clearer than daylight in these monotonous halls... You have some spirit and sense to attack me while my back is turned..." He let go of his opponent's arm as he stopped it in its tracks, the assailant moved backwards with great speed before moving ahead towards the Demon. The movement of the hand reaching out through Akakotei seemed to land its mark, as the ripping of cloth would be clear, but the only thing remaining in the spot he had been was an already torn and ruined blazer.

"Looking to fight me head on shows bravery, albeit not a lot of intelligence..." The Demon's voice would be now behind the boy. Only missing a blazer Akakotei would keep a stare of nonchalant disinterest at the sight of his opponent as the boy declared himself as Kuro Okami, while also proclaiming the fight would not be fair in his case. The Emperor smiled slightly at the notion that the youth seemed to bring up, as he looked at the hooded figure with only his right eye visible the Demon seemed to radiate a pressure that would begin to reverberate through the halls. "Fair you say? Of course it wouldn't be, the fairness of this combat already gave you a massive handicap the moment I became your opponent..." Suddenly a wind would pick up that began to blink out the fires around the demon, the lights above would crack and fizzle out as it seemed to rise up more and more. "I will give out my name after this is done, as you've shown promise I will grant a greater handicap to show me your skill." The halls surrounding them soon fell dark. The rising winds blotted out the lights and the hollow lamps above seemed to shatter at the release of something ancient and terrible.

As the boy look it would be dark enough that only the faint vision of light from a few hallways off would give out from his side. On his opponent's side the darkness would seem perfect, only two bright shades of red circles surrounding the space that the Demon had been sitting would be notable. As he Demon blinked the circles in the vision of the hooded figure would be gone. Now Akakotei would have moved with the speed and silence of a ghost, his leg placed squarely to the back of his opponent to force him further into the darkness that he had created, moreover the force of the kick would be as if to try and rip through the body of Kuro with one fell blow. Even if he avoided it, Akakotei would not allow his enemy to leave from the side he had been planning on. He would wait for his opponent to see if he would dodge, even in this darkness the Demon's eyes granted him better clarity than most who could see in the light anyway. If he did dodge the Emperor would stand guard of the only exit towards the light that could be seen, he expected such an opponent would be better suited in the darkness so to give his enemy an advantage he would grant him a base to start from... If not then the enemy would show the Demon a greater source of information for the fight than before. "This fight does not need to be fair Kuro Okami, but whether you survive it depends on your willingness to surrender quickly..." The tone of the words held a presence of nobility and seemed to hold more than just conveyance... This was the Emperor's way, and his eyes granted him greater clarity to see a man's worth... Whether Okami had any was still yet to be seen.

I'm being serious here!

Lieutenant Colonel of Squad One

~K~u~r~o~O~k~a~m~i~

As he cut the clothes from his opponent's body, his left hand would reach out, grabbing onto the exposed fabric as he yanked on it, attempting to unbalance or otherwise trip up the other male, but he could not seem to get a firm grip on the material, watching it slip out of his hand. Damnit. He mused to himself as he continued to move, watching his second strike also fail to hit. At this rate, I'm going to lose confidence in my abilities as a candidate for Captaincy of Squad 2… The Shadow Shinigami thought as he clenched his teeth, his body moving quickly as he darted about the room.

"…" He did not respond to his opponent's banter as he ripped his arm out of the other man's grasp, holding the clothing that had been left behind after his assault had been semi-complete. "Does a shadow retain intelligence?" Kuro asked in reply, his head tilting to the side as he did so. "I think you will find that it does not, generally."

After that, he could feel the pressure of the demon. The pressure that bore down on every part of his body, but he could only feel himself smiling in response. It was at that point that he decided to stand up straight, his spinal cord becoming rigid as he let out a breath, allowing for his spiritual pressure to emerge. In that moment, Akakotei would feel a presence that matched his own, the walls of the hall around them beginning to tremble slightly from the amount of pressure that was being released by the two males, the lights beginning to shake back and forth as they were sent out by their pressure, leving them entirely in the dark.

"You will come to regret that decision…" Kuro told the male, holding his blade out before him as he gently closed his eyes, feeling into the shadows around them as he reached a hand back, gripping against Akakotei's incoming foot as his other hand brought his blade down, the muscles in his arm straining at an impressive rate as he pushed himself bodily away, having attempted to sever the man's leg from his body, sending him spiraling back into the darkness.

...Now… He thought to himself, as his eyes opened wide, gripping his blade with both hands as a release of pure power echoed out from him, drawing the blade into two parts as he pulled on it from either end, a hilt appearing in both hands as he held his twin blades, his eyes opening wide as the Shadows became ever more pertinent in his sight. "…" He was completely silent as he let his presence move outwards, gathering the 'shadow energy' of the area around him as it flowed into his body, pair of sunglasses emerging over his eyes that allowed for him to see perfectly in the dark, at 20/20 vision.

His body then began sinking into the darkness. As it did so, a series of daggers would fly out, daggers created of shadow, sailing towards Akakotei as Kuro's right arm emerged from the shadows, his body moving extremely quickly within them as dozens of slashes were performed against Akakotei's body. Heart, liver, kidneys, throat, stomach, lungs - each of these places were assaulted against several times as Kuro's whirling body darted in and out of the shadows, performing Shunpo over and over again as he finally emerged from the ceiling, his hand gripping around a ball of shadow as he threw the hand downwards.

This emitted a blast that launched forwards, slamming into Akakotei's body with the force of a cero, before dispersing back into the shadows that lined the floor, where the energy was picked up again by Kuro's collection ability, dispersing back within the shadows as he reemerged before Akakotei, one hand pressed onto the ground. As a result of this palm connecting with the floor, spikes made out of pure shadow would fire throughout the hallway before him, skewering everything that lay in their path. Each spike was roughly twelve feet long, curved all around and as sharp as Kuro's own Zanpakutō. The spikes would come out twelve per square foot, creating a spiraling maw of devastation in their path, before slowly rescinding once more, leaving Kuro standing there.

"In this much shadow… I highly doubt that you could kill me, Sir with no name…" Kuro explained, holding one of his blades in each hand as he pointed a single finger outwards. "Hadō 31: Shakkoho!" He exclaimed, slicing his blade down as the kido sailed along its edge before roaring outwards down the hall, creating an absolutely blinding amount of light as the red flame slash sailed towards Akakotei, before finally slamming into either him or the wall behind him with a tremendous explosion, rocking the area that they were in with its tremors.

Kuro remained standing there, looking at his opponent. ...He really wants to kill me…? Why…? Isn't this just a tournament…? If the way that I fought could be different, I would also choose non-lethal interaction… but… it seems that he isn't interested in that… Kuro thought to himself, a bit sadly, but his gaze remained fierce, still looking through the darkness as he awaited for his opponents response, choosing to remain outside of the shadows, for now...

Kuro Okami VS Akakotei Erobern [Platinum Hearts Tournament Arc] Empty Re: Kuro Okami VS Akakotei Erobern [Platinum Hearts Tournament Arc]

As the Demon stared down at the Spirited youth, Akakotei would find his position against him to be rather disatisfactory. Okami made a point to seemingly try to make more talk than was needed, questioning the idea of a shadow having intelligence, seemingly denying it such a perception of existence. "It is true that shadows themselves may not have the sense of intelligence that could make them sentient, but as humans have shown the fear of even such things as the dark make it more than just the absence of light. But if I were to go into further detail I would feel as though I'm lecturing, and that is not what we are here for..." As the power released from the Emperor his opponent would seemingly find it appropriate to show his own force, as a burst of energy surged forward to Aka in the same way it did Kuro. But the effect Kuro had hoped for would not apply to the Demon as it did him...

The energy seemingly looking to encroach on Akakotei's space would halt as it reached the Demon's presence, it was a phenomenon that seemed to defy logic but the energy stood in place just a foot before Akakotei's eyesight. "You seem to mistook my showing this as a sign of gloating, make no mistake I was simply acknowledging someone like you should be able to fend for himself... But this show was to simply give you a example of what happens when I step into the realm of seriousness as I have..." The movement that he had acted on before seemed to be noted by the shadow boy, he caught his leg and jumped away, seemingly with a lot more strength than was needed, all the while Akakotei noted the movement from the boy, as he pulled back the leg he had so eagerly looked to chop would be missing only striking air as he went back and Akakotei stood still his limbs all still attached. As the boy seemed to prepare the Emperor noted that the boy now held two swords before seemingly dissolving into the shadows altogether. Suddenly daggers came flying forwards towards the Demon, their initial flight path would hold no issue with the Demon, however the boy was good to keep his attack up, slashing at the Demon with his blades looking to take a mortal blow to his opponent's body. It seemed to be a worthwhile tactic, to attack with such speed it would surely cause some damage, and it did, a cut there and a nick here, just enough to draw blood from a few area now ruining the Demon's clothes. Though if Kuro were to look at his opponent he would not see one concerned with pain or any danger, but one who was simply staring at his opponent's entire body with no change in expression... Even while taking damage!

The strange would be something that boggled the mind, then suddenly the Shinigami would find that as he attacked he be assailed by something striking out like a arm sized bullet. The strikes would be directed at his solar plexus and head and they all seemed to be thrown within the split second where the blades would be hung back only to retreat once they hit their mark. It was Akakotei... As the attacks were being thrown out not only did he seemingly 'see' them... He could counter them... With the force of the momentum only helping with his attacks. The dashing back with the Shunpo was a good choice, it made it practically impossible to tell what he was going to do before he did it but the moments that he dashed in and out of the shadows Akakotei could note the slight change in the darkness... Suddenly nothing was out of ordinary which had the Crimson Emperor jump back in response, if could not see his opponent he was either above or below, behind was always an option but he had shown a sneak attack was not helpful from behind so Okami's tactics would probably adjust to that. It seemed he was right, the slamming down from the ceiling pushed the demon back from the momentum slightly more than he had expected but he found his footing as the shadow boy was preparing his next attack. Before he had time to see his enemy it seemed his feelings were already confirmed.

The shadows came out as spikes that seemed to spiral towards the Demon, Akakotei had to keep himself from being skewered, but the amount of spikes was fairly impressive from his opponent, each one had a lot of danger behind it as they began to overtake the grounds within the shadows. Closer and closer the Demon would be close to being skewered in the eye as he moved back one step too late. Then the spike stopped as the Demon held his hand out from the shadowy trap holding it from getting close. Suddenly they rescinded from their location, as the Demon let go of the one that looked to take his head he looked at his opponent once more who seemed to be making more banter, at how the Demon would find it difficult to kill him with so much shadow. Suddenly the Shinigami brought forth more attacks, however Akakotei simply stood as his enemy made another show of force, this time a blazing inferno came forwards to the Demon looking to engulf him in its great girth. "No I have not made a mistake..." Closing his eyes suddenly before the fire came towards him as he opened them once more suddenly the fire would be bounced back!

The flames would seemingly bounce back like a mirror was in front of the Demon, as the fire now looked to engulf its creator. However Okami looked to defend himself Akakotei would simply stand there, his eyes still glowing with the red glare... "This much shadow seemed to be appropriate for you... It makes the handicap lesser for you... If we were in the light I would not have bothered keeping up with your movements with my eyes." Looking down at his enemy in the distance Akakotei simply stared with disinterest. "In these shadows you seem to be able to see fairly well... Unfortunately for you it does not equate... I can see better in this shadow that you could see in the light right now." Looking down at him still the Emperor would simply sigh as Okami seemed to be worried. "Don't think I look to kill you, you're death would not benefit anyone, especially not yourself. But if you seek victory in this fight the only thing that can come from it is your unfortunate demise..." As he moved his arm up Akakotei's fist would curl up and throw out punches with phenomenal speed, though it seemed to be a poor idea Okami would soon be wary, as suddenly the air pressure from the flowing fist would act like a invisible bullet flying towards Kuro as a wall of wind and pain blowing forward... Akakotei was hoping that the Shinigami would give up soon, if not then he would have to get more serious with the boy, nothing that he had shown him would expect that too much would be needed, but the Crimson Emperor did not want to expend too much energy for too long...

I'm being serious here!

Captain of Squad Thirteen

~K~u~r~o~O~k~a~m~i~

"Fair enough." Kuro told the man in reply as he heard his opinion on the shadows, his eyes widening as he watched the energy stopping just before the male's body. ...What does that mean…? He wondered to himself, trying to think about it seriously. The continuation of his assault sought to nick out more and more blood, his eyes widening as he took in a big whiff, capturing the scent of blood. Kuro, he's watching us… The Wolf inside of his blade informed him, the Zanpakutō Spirit causing for Kuro to take notice as he saw the expression on his opponent's face. What should I do…? I'm losing the mental advantage…

And then he took a left hook to the face, causing him to redouble his attention as two of his teeth flew out of his skull, dashing away once more as he panted, tightening the muscles of his torso as he dodged about with his movements, only being brushed by the ensuing blows as a variety of bruises appeared underneath his clothing.

Eventually, he got back into position, before releasing his shadow spikes attack, watching with both eyes wide as the spears poured towards his opponent. "...Um, yes you have." Kuro said, slightly bewildered as a bit of his nature bled out, feeling confused for a moment about what the man could possibly mean by 'I have not made a mistake…'.

Then the fire was coming back at him. So it was that Kuro finally, finally had an epiphany. He's denying my ranged attacks! And like that, Kuro crossed his arms around his body, a wreath of shadow flowing around him before violently solidifying as the fire crashed against it, exploding in a torrent of light as shards of black darkness flew from where he was standing, leaving Kuro standing there, minor burns covering his body as the rest of the shell slowly crumbled away.

The words that the man spoke irked something inside of Kuro. ...And how does he know that?! He mentally fumed, keeping himself from spilling the thoughts outwards as his head looked up once more, seeing the man preparing a punch. ...Now what could he be doing from… When the punch flew out, extinguishing the residual flames down the corridor, Kuro's eyes widened. His arms folded themselves tight against his body, feeling the impact press against him as the wind was knocked out of him, causing him to be blown back as he lay on the ground, panting.

...I was hoping not to have to resort to this…! The thoughts cascaded through his mind as his right hand pushed into the ground, his mouth gasping for air to recover from the blow. As he slowly rose, his left arm began to change, warping from that strange black claw-like shape into the appearance of a regular arm. Then, from that regular arm, a black pistol began to form, the sword that the hand was holding slowly shrinking into the weapon as a burst of pure white emerged from the hilt of his arm.

That white poured about his flank, creating a cloak on one side. YOU SUMMONED ME, YOU IDIOT?! KEHEHEHEHE! The insane voice demanded, as Kuro shook his head. I don't care, I don't care! Just give me a hand! He bickered back in response, gripping the pistol as he felt it snugly in his left hand. Feeling flowed through the arm as if it were Kuro's own, and the gun he was wielding carried the feeling of cold steel… it looked like an M9, a repeating pistol with a smooth topped finish.

Pointing the weapon upwards, Kuro began to take aim, the sunglasses beginning to morph and shift as they slowly became a monocle around his left eye, the one with the peculiar star-shaped scar. A slew of apparatuses appeared within his vision as a result, helping him target. Pulling the trigger twice, bullets created with a mixture of Shadow, Disturbed Energies and Steel emerged, blowing outwards as one went past Akakotei's head to the left, and then the right. Performing a Shunpo with the second shot, Kuro reappeared before Akakotei, the gun pointed at the man's right shoulder as he threw his right arm outwards. The trigger was pulled once more, attempting to lodge not one, but three consecutive bullets into the man's arm. If, or perhaps in this case, when he went to dodge, he would find Kuro's dagger stabbing forwards, attempting to lodge it directly into the male's throat. From there, he would draw the gun back, dropping his blade as it flowed towards Kuro's right arm, gaining the same appearance as the one in his left as he pointed both of them downwards, pulling the triggers as flashes of darkness poured out before Kuro's body, the Disturbed Energies warping any energy construct they came into contact with, the Shadow flowing over any physical obstacle, and the hot metal cutting and piercing through anything it came into contact with.

"Shadows are my safety… In them I was birthed, and in them I will die. So if you think you'll be the one, then you'd better prove it!" Kuro declared, moving the smoking pistols down as he vanished once again into the shadows, his body reemerging behind the male as he emerged from his own shadow, a blade held in either hand as he gave a small smile. "After all, I need to at least give a good show as a Captain…"

It seemed that despite Akakotei giving the boy the chance to surrender over and over again, the spirited spirit had more pride and willingness to fight with ever more fervour. In a different life perhaps Akakotei would have sought to recruit such a strong-willed warrior, or perhaps kill him to send a message. As it was now Kuro's refusal to submit would only make Akakotei feel that he would need to employ more drastic tactics to show the difference between the two of them. As the boy took the blow that seemed almost invisible the Demon was impressed that he noted the pressure and only got himself winded, but as the boy seemed to change his arm it seemed that he turned something into what looked like a firearm. "For a Shinigami you are rather progressive, I didn't think that you would use something like a gun with your weapon... Still interesting to note." It was before that two shots blew past him, the boy seemed to fire to trap Akakotei, As he moved with great speed to the side of the Demon. In this location he was prepped to fire off shots into the crimson haired devil's arm. Not wanting to have new shrapnel based injuries Akakotei first looked to dodge, however he found the speed of the boy was fair in this range, he had a knife at his throat by the time he moved. The cut he found was not through the neck but it a thin cut that would seem to put the Demon in a predicament.

Moreover, the shinigami then seemed to pull back with the aim to fire more bullets/shadows into the Demon's body with his other arm. Akakotei found his attack fairly impressive using his quick thinking to dismiss the clear disadvantage he had with close range combat against the him. "Impressive..." The single word was all the Demon had to say before his body seemed to almost vibrate with a great intensity that even his opponent would have to notice. Suddenly the demon moved with a strange and almost too quick grace that left him to the right of the Shinigami's fire, with it a huge crack in the wall seemed to appear with the movement, finding it hard to contain the pressure from what just happened. Hearing the boy's words Akakotei simply sighed from the youth's declaration of choosing to die in the dark. "If you were born in shadows such as these then I would not doubt your familiarity with them... But choosing to die in the dark is not a wish anyone should choose for themselves...." As Kuro moved away he would see an almost disappointed frown appear on the Emperor's face, it was seemingly from Akakotei's disappointment in his enemy deciding death a better alternative to simply submission.

The boy moved back and changed his weapons to blades once more, he smiled and seemed to talk about making an impression as a captain. It seemed to be a noble goal... It was unfortunate that Akakotei had to show him that an impression isn't always a victory. "A show is not what is always needed... In this case as strong as you are only one thing would give any impression to me..." Suddenly it would hit Kuro, and by hit him it would be more piercing through him... The arm of Akakotei and the Crimson Demon's entire body seemed to appear before him and tear square through his chest. As sudden as that was after removing his hand Akakotei would not stop there as he slammed his hand into the head of the Shinigami, the force behind it would crush his skull and cause it to fly clean off... And suddenly the vision would pass, it would be what Kuro would feel and see for only the few moments from Akakotei's vision being on him, the illusion would be to strike fear and its feeling was not simply a warning but a sign of things to come. "You are young and ambitious, do not think that this means you will not find roadblocks... You may have a good showing as a captain, but that does not mean you will win... Victory is not the road to learning anything Shinigami, and as much as you have showed me here I only have one thing to say now." Akakotei held his hand out to him with a gesture to come at him. "Hit me with your best shot now, if you don't then I will have no choice to kill you... If you do then you will see the best you can do now, and what you can learn from it..."

The Demon had learned that to teach an ultimatum as vicious as death was almost always the best for the sake of those who would not see error, Akakotei's stare would not be a nonchalant but still held the look of a killer that he would have seen in the vision. If Kuro did not choose his path now, then Akakotei would not hesitate to show him that simply focusing on victory and his own appearance from it would lead to nothing but his own messy and rather forgettable death.
