This battle will be on top of a little platform known as Final Destination. This area is a floating metal structure with a flat surface on top, suspended in the middle of empty space. There is very little of an environment to use to one's advantage, forcing the battle to focus on one's own power. The match will begin with each opponent being transported to either side of the platform facing each other, and then will proceed to fight. So, let the clash commence!

There was absolutely no way that the First Quincy was going to entrust her physical form to the capabilities of another, especially with such an imperfect science as teleportation. Nozomi made her own way onto the battlefield, only needing the specific galactic coordinates to the location in order to reach her destination. Now, of course, she had to explain to the proctor precisely what she meant by galactic coordinates first before he could answer, and yet he still failed to be able to provide anything. Thus, she extracted the information by force, driving her consciousness like a bullet through his skull and scouring his mind for the mere rough idea of where she was supposed to be. It was a lot more trouble for the poor man than it was for her, though. Eventually she'd appear onto the battlefield through method of her Garganta, ripping open a hole to the platform known as Final Destination and stepping through. Her military boots rapped against the completely metal surface, and the tail of her coat flapped lightly from the closing of the Garganta behind her. Standing proper upright in the uniform of her nation was the leader of Eldrazi, the original Quincy, the archetype of control... Nozomi.
She looked around, taking in what little detail there was to this staging area as it was to be the location of her first round match in the Platinum Hearts Tournament. It literally just was a moderately-sized metal rostrum set in the middle of dark space. In every direction there was to look, only a starry nightscape could be seen, filling the entirety of her three-hundred and sixty degree field of view. Despite this seeming to take place is space, Nozomi could feel the presence of an earth-like gravity pulling her "down" against the stage. She imagined that stepping off the stage would lead only toward an endless descent. Also funnily, a breathable atmosphere equivalent to Earth's. This was probably for the best, as it would be a shame for the fight to end so quickly if one or both of the combatants were incapable of surviving without the presence of oxygen. The only remaining factor to observe was that the metals that made up the stage were all basic elements on the periodic table, lacking in special properties whatsoever. This place was definitely odd, defying physics and logic, but perhaps that is where the power of the Platinum Heart came in...
The grand prize of this tournament enthralled Nozomi from the very first moment, its value immediately clear to all who'd examined it. It was the world's next holy grail, the next Excalibur, the next fountain of youth. All of the big players were gunning for this artifact for the power it promised, and the ancient Quincy was on the bandwagon along with all of them. There wasn't much that she couldn't already do, but the Platinum Heart was the key to the doors that she hadn't yet unlocked. There were other magical stones to be had, set up as consolatory prizes for those who didn't make it all the way, but she was not interested in those. She would not settle for less than the ultimate prize, and that meant she'd have to defeat the best of what each realm had to offer. Never had Nozomi faced a challenge this great, and it had her in a rather serious mood. There would be no holds barred for her here.
Her opponent, Zane Fenier, she had met once before, a good while before. She was confident she could have defeated him back then, and she'd only grown stronger since. Not only that, but Nozomi gained an incredible advantage over opponents she's already fought and had the chance to study. Her abilities were effective at countering and outmaneuvering those of her foes, using information gained in battle to spot weaknesses for exploitation. She wasn't fully versed on Zane's entire arsenal, but she understood the main theme of his power set. He was a very defensive type, and had a method of generating energy much like her own... Which was exactly why Nozomi predicted her first fight was already cinched. She was to fight a foe who specialized in long-term fights and outlasting opponents, just like her, except inferior. He was good at it, but she was the best at it. If he tried to play to his strengths too much as Nozomi predicted he would, he would lose. Simple as that.
If he did not take any risks, Nozomi would be presented with no risks.
