James walked with hands in pocket toward the towering white cube that was the Diplomatic Headquarters of the Vanguard. The place had become something of a hub to him, given his new job as Lord of Whispers. Though James despised people, if speaking with dozens upon dozens of them whom he would hold with the same regard as a common house fly would put some extra money on the table, he would gladly sacrifice his pride-- and perhaps a few brain cells, on certain occasions- to keep Carine happy. Although, James wasn't entirely sure why he even cared about Carine... and "care" would definitely not be synonymous with love.. James simply felt like she understood him. She didn't make herself too obvious, and didn't get in the way, so James felt a sort of appreciation and respect for her company.

Removing his hands from his pockets, he reached out and pressed the entrance door open. Feeling a blast of cool air, the familiar scent of vanilla reached his nose. The vanilla scent was his idea, as before it smelled only of people sweating in their cubicles and pissing themselves at the electric bills. Accounting couldn't know about the secret base beneath this one, as their clearance wasn't high enough. So James took delight in watching them wonder how The Vanguard always seemed to come up with enough money to pay the enormous bills. At any rate, James made his way to a false wall that led to an entrance into the secret base. It was one of many entrances, one of which was an out of order elevator, and a janitor's closet. Finding himself inside an empty box of a room, with no lighting, he removed his Vanguard badge from his breast pocket and pressed it against the scanner in the wall. The scanner verified his biological signal, and the wall before him hissed open. Stepping into the seemingly heavily armored elevator, James pressed the only available button. It led down into the undercarriage. The real Vanguard base.

James whistled a tune as he waited for the elevator to finally open. When it did, a narrow hallway was before him. The vanilla scent was actually pumped through the air vents, meaning it went all the way through the base. Stepping out into the hall, the purple in James suit cast an amethyst glow off the white tile flooring. His boot heels clicked as he walked with a resigned posture as he made his way to the Strategic Assembly room. He tapped a few buttons in on his wristpad, activating his contacts. The words "Restricted Area" appeared on the far wall. He waved them away as he turned the corner. The Assembly room was probably the closest to Azure's office as he would make it with his A-level clearance, but his intelligence network said Azure would be returning home today for a meeting. James managed to squeeze a meeting of his own in after that, and so he was here. Although it wasn't necessary to speak with Azure Iramasha himself, James figured as the head of the Vanguard's Intelligence Agency, he may as well report straight to the Big Dog himself. Going through the Wardens seemed useless. In fact, James was given the same locational clearance level as a Warden, able to access every portion of the Vanguard save that which only The Founder himself and the Reagent General could access. James entered the Assembly room, and planted himself in the far chair, in front of the projector screen, which was a curved screen that reached around almost a quarter of the room. He deactivated his contacts, and looked down at his wristpad for the time. Almost 11 o'clock. The meeting was at 11. Hopefully, Azure would be on time. This would be the first he'd ever met him, and James got the feeling he'd need to get pretty close with this guy, given his profession.

Over and Over Azure found himself going out of his way to do things for the Vanguard. If it wasn't meeting with a little person to discuss their entry, it was meeting with one of the big wigs underneath him in order to speak about upcoming events. He would run his way around the headquarters in order to do his best with this or that. Here he would be doing something like altering the supplies they kept stocked in case of extreme situations, while over there he may be speaking to an Admin of sorts in order to learn of this or that around the base. It was if one thing after the other was how Azure processed each day. In and out, it was as if he was only alive in order to help others. A responsibility he took up on his own, but could anyone really blame him? If he weren't to do this.... who would?

Yawning, Azure stepped lazily through the deep and dark hallways of the Vanguard's lower base, it was just another problem with being the leader of the Vanguard. He didn't have some type of special transport. Whether it was really needed to use something such as his Chaos Warp in order to arrive places quicker was a trivial thing, so doing so would only make him look like a jackass. With that thought rushing through his head, Azure let out a small sigh and jogged his way ever so quickly through the hallways. Today was an important day, the Lord of Whispers had news for the male to listen to. As he suspected, it was most likely something referring to the recent speech he had made. The world had become wide-eyed at the fact that Azure had openly requested for Shadowfall to back down or there would be war. Not many people had the power or the confidence to do such an act, Azure wasn't an exception to that either. Without the help from others he won't be able to do anything with the speech he had made. He'd need everyone that was willing to give him the help he had requested. Shaking off the thoughts, Azure had finally arrived at the meeting room at precisely 11:05. Late, as usual, Azure dropped a small folder on the large table that spanned nearly the entire room, his coffee swaying with his body as he adjusted to see the Lord in front of him.

The white hair male seemed to wear his hair in a tight pony tail, his red eyes shifting as Azure came in with a slam behind him. Sizing up the member of the infamous group, Azure twisted his body in order to flick his wrist at a nearby television. By doing so, the television radiated to life. It played a broadcast of a fairly recent newscast made by the Karakura Nightly News. In the repeat broadcast it spoke of how they were able to empathize with Azure's attempt to help the Earth but would not condone it, thinking the male couldn't do his job. He knew that people would have this type of feeling towards him and the actions of The Vanguard. He could understand such a stance, so without saying a word about the broadcast, Azure turned to the lanky James and smiled softly.

"I'm sure you're not what you expected, but I'm Azure Iramasha. You're James Caldwell, my Lord of Whispers. I've read up on you, I hope you didn't mind. I take it you have some type of news for me? Obviously the world is in an uproar. I need an update." Azure stretched his arms outward as he loosened the tight t-shirt he wore that day. His long, dark colored jeans seemed to latch onto his legs as he walked around the table. Handing the folder that he had previously slapped down to James, it contained an image of Mana, a formidable foe towards the Vanguard and Earth as a whole. The leader of Shadowfall, Azure let out a small sigh as he turned once more to the television.

"C'mon... bring me some good news James." Azure needed some good news, it seemed wherever he turned nothing but bad followed.

James sighed. "I won't lie to you, sir. That move took some guts." James started, sizing up the current leader of their organization. "Good news is, The Vanguard's made a statement for themselves. Bad news is, we pissed off everyone under the sun with it." James had spent the last few days taking public opinion, talking amongst allies, it was a bothersome business, as James truly despised people. Bogged down with requests to speak directly with Azure, James decided the best course of action would be, well, to take action. Thus, James called upon the Reagent General himself. "Tell you what." James said casually, projecting the Shadow Fall logo onto the table through his wristpad. Shadow Fall would most definitely be their biggest competitor, but above all things, James was a politician.

"See, Shadow Fall... It's difficult to see ourselves on equal standing with them. A military win against them may be as difficult as walking upwards on a ninety degree angle... Underwater." James placed a hand on his chin, and walked around the table to Azure's side. "This world is a difficult place. It always has been. Let me propose something to you. You're probably the most powerful Man in history right now. But that's not enough. Wars aren't one by strength alone. If you've ever seen two animals fight before, you'll know that it is not the strongest who win, but the smartest. Let me tell you my plan to rule the world." James displayed on the overhead projector in the room a picture of Mana Asthavon's face. "The demon queen Mana Asthavon. You know her I'm sure. Hers is a sad story, if you won't discredit my empathy for her immediately. But what I think is irrelevant. Look at what she's done in the world of Demons. She took over, and though there was dissent, she's managed to keep her rule because of what? Fair play... and a tad of brute force. I traveled to America once, before I was with the Vanguard. The living conditions there, honestly aren't too terrible. But the first step, is talking something out with her. Peace. We'll rule the world without the world even knowing a thing."

James smiled, taking the folder from the Azure's hands. "See, I want this world to be a peaceful place for humans, but that cannot happen for now, as long as demons occupy it. As long as demons occupy it... the way they do now. Azure, The Vanguard cannot back down. But we need to work toward making earth a peaceful place for everyone. And for that cause, no more blood can be spilled. Everyone who's been a soldier has known the pain of bloodshed, and in every war, the enemy must be killed simply because you cannot reasonably communicate with them, before they kill you. But as in the ancient war strategy game Halo, you sometimes can perform an ancient bonding ritual called ‘teabagging’ with the enemy, even if they cannot actively speak to your team. That is my hope. To teabag with the enemy over the corpse of the old ways. I can speak to our allies, and our enemies. The Vanguard shall usher in an age of peace for all. Despite the past, despite the present, and for the future." Truth be told it was highly unlikely that this plan could work, but at the very least, it couldn't be said that the Vanguard didn't attempt before the next Great War... "Sir, I think we should engage in peace talks with Shadow Fall. From there, we can speak to all our remaining allies, and through us, the world will be unified." With that, James sat back into his chair, and folded his legs. Of course, what he was proposing was preposterous, but bloodshed on a massive scale was not an option. Even if it meant doing the impossible. "I'll go unarmed. Of course, I'll make sure footage of the talks makes it's way back to you, even if I'm dead. I'll bring ASRA. It's a Sentient AI I've been working on all this time. It transmits it's information back to a database at my home. I can link the Vanguard to that when it's time. It's a little project I've been working on as of recent. It's been taught to upgrade itself using mechanical concepts until it has enough processing power to realize itself. It's secondary purpose is research. Classified to all others but you, sir. It's becoming something of a human. Recently, it called itself by a pronoun other than this unit, so we're making progress." James chuckled, pressing a button on his wristpad, he summoned ASRA to Sukai Karakura with them, waiving his entry with his security clearance.

When the machine finally entered the room, James rose, and waved at the robot. She entered in her female form, her long black hair flowing behind her. "Azure Iramasha, I present to you Sentient Artificial Intelligence 1534-2 Artifact and Substance Research Android-- Or Sai Asra if you prefer. It seems to prefer Sai anyway." Sai politely nodded to Azure, and spoke humbly. "You are registered as superior to James Caldwell in the organization known as the Vanguard. It is a pleasure to meet you sir. Call me Sai, please." Asra said with a slight smile, saluting the Reagent General. James was almost appalled at how much his android had grown in such a short amount of time. "At any rate, she will accompany me to the talks. Unless you had another plan?" James poked at the folder Azure had handed him. Of course, it couldn't go ignored that Azure probably had his own ideas as far as the situation should go. Everyone was probably mobilizing troops for war... Hopefully the Vanguard could surprise them with peace.

Azure was on edge, the world around them was brought to its knees and smacked around in order to be controlled by the forces currently doing so. Not that this was a bad thing at all times, but the death of innocents was something that Azure seemed to let weigh on his mind greater than any other factor. Sighing, he watched as James conducted a large amount of images and sending of files along the area they stood. He spoke of how Azure had large... balls, as indecent as that was. He knew what he did was something not any normal soul could do. Azure had made a statement in order to protect others on this earth, a statement that meant people would have to be hurt. James spoke of peace talks and helping those that are currently in control of certain nations, but the killing of innocents out weighed the sense of security that set up for others living in these nations. Now, it wasn't everyone that was doing this, only a few faces could be attributed to the idea of killing innocent humans and other races that lived on this earth. Azure knew that this was the only thing that caused him pain when it came to the nations on this earth. He didn't like the blood shed that was waged through war, yet he knew it would have to happen yet again. Sighing, he watched as the male shifted his focus around the table to Azure's side, bringing up a photo of Mana Asthavon.

"It doesn't take much in order to help an entire planet, James. You should know this now that you've been with the Organization for abit. My goal isn't to cause war, but I understand it may happen. And believe you me, I understand what you mean by climbing a slope of 90 degrees. We aren't a large Organization anymore, especially after its previous downfall. That is something I can totally agree with. But,with that said, if I must shoulder this Organization and this world on my own strength, then I will do so alone for however many years may come along. I'm not here to be a diplomat first, I am here to protect the unprotected." Azure nodded as the male attempted to talk once more. Finishing his statement, Azure slammed his hands on the table rather violently. He wasn't angry, yet he wished for his statement to be heeded. "Remember this James. We're here to protect those around us first. Continue."

Turning his attention to James' presentation on Mana Asthavon, Azure's mind raced with many thoughts. He couldn't help being both angry and not able to sympathize with where James was coming from. Mana may have quirks, and may not cause problems 24/7, but from what has happened in the past that doesn't verify that she won't do anything in the future. It was hard to gauge the feelings of someone in her position. With both a family and an Org on her back, she had internal struggles just as Azure did. But, with that came the outlook that blood shed should not occur. No one deserves to be pushed through the ideas of a war or a battle simply because people have separate ideas and thoughts. Nevertheless, it didn't matter. The past is the past and Azure couldn't help how he felt, especially after being on this Earth for as long as he had recently. He couldn't watch something like that happen again, and with Mana's normal mentality, you can never be too sure...

Leaning away from James, the Vanguard Leader watched as he spoke. Despite what others may think, he seemed to fit the position he was placed in entirely. It was as if he had eyes and ears in every spot of the world, just to aid towards the Vanguard's actions. It was helpful that someone was truly going out of their way in order to help him, something that seemed to be of poor use recently. Shaking his head, James spoke of pain and the problems that arose from war. Azure knew of the consequences that would come in pursuit of their goal, and with that thought crossing his mind, Azure planned on doing nothing but protecting those on this Earth as best he could. Blood was the last thing that needed to be split, Azure could agree wholeheartedly with that statement, that those around them didn't need to die for what Azure and the Organization he lead was about to cause. This wasn't the only thing that the two could agree on though, it seemed.

"I understand why you wish to communicate with our enemy, and I commend you for that. It's hard to empathize with Mana Asthavon, but I understand the weight she holds on her shoulders. I'm in the space position with that, so, with that being said I'll go ahead and go through any peace talks that you wish to occur. Along with that, you'll need to create a contact between any of our enemies that you believe is needed. I can't take it upon myself to contact those who I am against entirely. I apologize, James. And trust me, if anyone were to know of war, I can understand. It tears those apart that are both in your family and within your friends. Its an act that effects millions without truly meaning to. It's a sad reality, and I don't wish for anyone else to die..." Azure sighed and turned to the TV that hung in the middle of the room. It was flipped on once more again, showing that the coming forecast would be a hectic one of constant rain. Who else could call for such a weather forecast when Azure knew that there seemed to be some odd correlation with it recently. Shaking off the thought of the upcoming rain, Azure turned to James as he introduced his work of art, an Android named Sai. It was an interesting sight, to the normal human or person, it was an attractive woman. when she spoke, it was obvious she was not of a normal person. Nodding, Azure looked at James hands as he once again pointed out the folder that he had brought to the meeting.

"Right, right. Thank you for reminding. Upon opening the folder, you'll see a list of countries that are currently not in control of their own nations. One special area has been removed due to the current situation within it, that would be some of the middle east. A Woman named Nozomi seems to be doing quite well, and with that, I see no qualms with it. I need you to write up a few documents stating what will be done in the coming months. We need to help those that are currently not in control control what that had once before. That is, if its a control that was forced. We'll soon create mission debriefing for those in the organization, so if Sai could accompany from here on out, I can use her as a information guide for the Vanguard Members asking me questions. Understood?" Azure smiled, but within, he was being torn from the inside out...
