Yet Another Recruit

Azure was growing tired of going day in and day out, recruiting and making sure the Vanguard were up to snuff for the coming war. And yet again, he could be found on this dreary day to be finding another person for their cause. It happened nearly a week ago according to Azure's informants. The Vanguard have had a scattered force throughout the city of Karakura trying their best to find any people that may be worth investigating into. Now, normally the case that they brought forward to Azure wouldn't be noticed much, but it seemed rather odd. Recently the Vanguard have turned to an Escort service to vie for people that may be spiritually aware and willing to be trained, which they've had decent success with. But, this particular case seemed... fascinating to Azure. There was a male that the Escort service had asked them to take after in order to spy on him. They said that he wasn't very interesting on the outside, but according to his customers they had seen what could be considered as a... odd, situation. So, with that being the case, Azure took it upon himself of requesting the male as an Escort on this very day.
"On June Seventh, 2415 the male known as Haeru Hattori was seen with his current customer at a high class hotel. After leaving the hotel with the young miss, Haeru and the woman encountered a group of men that intended on hurting the young miss. Swiftly but not too quickly, Haeru was then seen exerting a large amount of spiritual pressure and beating the men to was seemed within an inch of their lives. Afterwards, the spiritual energy disappeared and the two went about their normal buisness." The informant placed a folder with a headshot of the male and a resume of what he was currently delving into. The escort service he worked for was a helpful ally to the Vanguard, helping their search for the spiritually aware and those who may be willing to protect earth alongside them. "In a recent statement from the Escort service, they stated that they have never seen anything like this from Haeru but they believed that we should look into it whether or not it was visible on the outside or not." Slinking away from Azure's desk, the Informant bowed slightly and took his leave.
Azure shifted his stance once more and crossed his legs to sit on the fountain he found himself at. The rain was a steady draught as he stared out into the blank space ahead of him. Wearing a jacket of mesh material to allow the rain to slide off of it, Azure could be seen with pink, short hair flowing from beneath the hood of the jacket along with a tight, black tank top and a pair of dark khakis. Despite being the leader of an organization the male never ceased to amaze those he worked with. He never took his time to dress professionally nor did he believe that if he didn't that people would respect him any less. So, without Haeru knowing anything of the male, a 'Young Female' requested for his escorting service near the Megumi Square of Sukai Karakura. Within walking distance to Azure there was a small child's playground, a small super market and a set of high class apartments. It didn't seem too out of the ordinary so Azure sat and wait, hoping that the male would come forth. Finding out who, and what he was, was the male's first goal. The second? Simple enough.
Recruit him into The Vanguard.

Smoothing invisible wrinkles out of of his black name-brand suit, Haeru hummed as he casually gathered his things and prepared to go. Stopping at the mirror he kept conveniently placed at his front door he gave himself a once over, glancing at his rather expensive watch for the umpteenth time to make sure that we was still on track. With a small sigh he stepped out, well shined leather shoes glinting in the artificial lights that lined the hallway the building his condo was located in. Biting his bottom lip absentmindedly during the elevator ride from the eleventh floor to the first, he fingered at the phantom ruffles in his cuffs and allowed his mind to wander. Another night, another mark. Sometimes women, sometimes men, but always people with more money than sense... or friends for that matter. His job was to give them what they wanted whatever that might be. Desperate, lonely people that for all their money were unable to secure a well mannered and attractive date to whatever social function was at hand. Every night the same. 'Oh how lovely you look', 'I just find you so interesting', on and on it went. Just an endless parade of people that wanted him for whatever reasons and the young man who shamelessly took money for the honor.
Sighing again Haeru stepped out of the elevator at its destination and nodded to the doorman on his way out. Crossing the street to the complex's parking garage, it wasn't long before he pulled out in a expensive, sporty little 'I'm having a midlife crisis' number as red as his hair was in its natural state. Speaking of which, Haeru's hair did indeed shift back to its normal color as he stepped into his escort persona, though his eyes couldn't be their natural red without giving him away. Today he was thinking green and with that simple thought it was so, emerald eyes peeking back at him in the rear view mirror. Retracting the convertible's top to feel the rush of air on his skin, he smiled as Hacchamaru gave an expression of satisfaction from inside of him. Smoking a 'cigarette' filled with something quite a bit more powerful than simple tobacco as he went, he prodded mentally at the spirit.
'Are you going to be okay? You know I can't be messing myself up right before it's time to meet a client.' He felt more than saw the spirit wink at him.
'I'll be fine little bro, you just focus on charming the pants off of this little lady mmkay? And I mean that literally.'
Rolling his eyes, Haeru continued towards his destination. His first stop was to use the extra time he'd given himself to pick up some flowers from a small market near where his client had requested to meet him. Small tokens like a bouquet of fresh flowers could make all the difference in making a first impression after all. Jogging back to his car after the purchase he tapped at his GPS to make sure that he was back en route to the specific corner of Megumi Square where his client would be waiting. Karakura was a large town, and it wasn't difficult to get lost even within short distances. As he came into viewing distance of where the girl was supposed to be waiting he squinted as he tried to get a read on the situation. There were people milling about for sure but he didn't have a lot to go on. Apparently his client liked her privacy because all he had to go on was that he was looking for a young female and that he might have to wait for her because she would approach him when she arrived.
Parking his car out of the way down the street Haeru once again smoothed wrinkles that didn't exist before stepping out onto the sidewalk with a practiced poise. Flashing a charming smile at a pair of passing women he got a giggle in response as he continued on his way. Finally stopping at the meeting point he took a good look around as it started to rain. Frowning, he stepped beneath a nearby awning and lightly shook off the droplets that had accumulated on the bouquet he'd been holding. The only person that stood out in the area was a particular man with pink hair and an odd jacket. Some kind of punk no doubt.
'Geez, the least a lady can do is be on time for the date she pays for.' Hacchakeru grumped from within his head. Getting caught in the rain was so not pleasurable.
'Now now,' Haeru chastised gently, 'She already paid. I could stand here all night and I'm getting paid for it so chill out. If she's a no show we'll hit a club on the way home and blow off some steam alright?'
Haeru had no choice but to wait. The client would either come or they wouldn't but he was tied to their schedule until further notice.

Arron was back in the Human world again. It had been what, six years since he last spent in this realm? It didn't much matter to him since he was here now. Of course, he found himself inside Karakura, and that meant a big city, and within a big city was sure to be a park. It has been awhile since he was able just to relax. Maybe he could find a place to stay before moving out to the wastelands to remove some infestation of hollows.
Walking down the path Arron felt the pleasant day around him. Walking in his Shinigami Shihakusho wouldn't gain him stares from passer-bys. After all this was Karakura, the capital of the human spiritual society. No, what caught peoples' attention was his feminine features: Long, flowing, purple, hair styled in a ponytail. Deep Saphire eyes that gazed out looking into the past. Pale skin only found one those that could defined as classic beauties. A stride that gave him jealous looks for only a noblewoman could make it. An appearance that made him the attraction of both men and women. The only things that made him look male would be his glasses since their style was pointed towards men. The other thing was his scars that he had all over his body. Only his face by a miracle was unblemished by the horrors of war he had suffered over the centuries.
Although that didn't bother him as he headed towards the nearby park. He walked past another male that he knew was someone you didn't want to mess with. Azure Iramsha, the leader of the Vanguard. Arron did make a note to study up on any organization in the human realm. Mainly because you never know what you might find here. He didn't know what brought the Hybrid King out to this area, but he hoped that it was the same reason as himself. To relax. Passing him by Arron continued heading towards the park. Maybe find a bench that overlooked a playground. If he were lucky, he could hear them calling. 'Come play with us big brother!'

Azure shifted his body only slightly. The kids in the nearby park were loud but it was rather... pleasant. Hearing the sounds of care-free children was something that always seemed to make life pretty well. Along with that, the rain was rather soothing, as it always had been for the male. Azure took a deep breath and allowed himself to feel a rush of energy flow through his body. The rain enhanced his smell, his touch, nearly everything around him seemed to be amplified by the small droplets of ice cold water. It was a feeling that he couldn't describe, a feeling that caused his mind and sound to become leaps and bounds stronger than it was before. Despite the overflowing wealth of ease Azure felt from the rain just now, he could sense the are around him almost too easily. Shifting his head upward, Azure came eye to eye with a Shinigami heading towards the playground nearby. The kids were screaming as if they knew the male himself, nearly falling head over heels for what seemed to be yet another... pretty boy. It wasn't something that Azure had to truly take into account at the current moment, but in the future.. who knows. He may be of importance.
Shifting his focus to the street that was adjacent to the plaza that he currently sat in, a young man of considerable handsomeness could be seen arriving to the plaza. He wore what could only be bought from what would be a high class store of sorts. Along with that he was prim and pressed, this had to be Haeru, the escort agency definitely did not cut corners when it came to finding work for their customers. Jesus, if this was just one man what would they have to find visiting the headquarters itself? Never the less, Azure shook his head and snapped his fingers. A small wave of energy, almost undetectable by those of his own power, shuffled through the area in a wide span. It seemed that he could pick up both this male's body and the Shinigami's. Alright Azure thought, it was time to deduce the current situation. By sending this energy through the ground, it travelled its way through Haeru and the newly arrived Shinigami. Now, when it came to the newly found shinigami, he was far from on the level Azure could be seen, but despite that it seemed as if he had some type of potential flowing through his body. Now, with Haeru, it was a different story. Azure couldn't pinpoint his energy at a specific rate, but he wasn't on Azure's level, not yet. He seemed to also be hiding a sickening secret in his body that he was sure no one else knew about. Hm. Lowering his head only slightly, Azure stood up in place and lowered his mesh jacket's hood, turning over to the kids in the playground.
He was not worried that these kids would come to any harm, so it was time to make his presence known. By tapping his foot lightly on the ground, Azure sent a small shockwave throughout the earth around them. By doing so, a small wave of energy could be felt by anyone that was spiritually aware nearby. Now, if the children currently on the playground were of this nature they'd be completely fine, but if one were to feel this shockwave they would feel only a small measure of Azure's power. Sending yet another shockwave, this one was mildly larger, causing the area around them to shake momentarily. "Oi. I take it you're Haeru?" Azure turned his head back to the male as he smirked. His Azure blue eyes flashed in the dark grey sunlight as if they were reflective mirrors on a bike. Hopefully the newly arrived Shinigami will have averted his attention the two, having two recruits would be better than one. The Vanguard could use anyone that would be willing to help.
"The agency told me of you. I'm sure you don't know who I am, but I know who you are. You hide that little power of yours well, if I can give you my opinion. The name's Azure." Waving only slightly, Azure smiled and acted as if he never sent the shockwaves at all. He acted as if everything was simply hunky dory. Now, despite what he may show on the outside, Azure wasn't too sure how the two males would react. As of late, he couldn't tell you how anyone would act in Karakura City. With the impending War, any type of action may be considered a threat. Would his be as well?

Outwardly Haeru might have looked quite collected, a well dressed young man waiting for a lucky date, but on the inside he was starting to feel his spirit as dampened as Hacchakeru's. Why couldn't people show up on time for the date they were paying for when the meeting spot was outdoors and it was raining? It was almost as if he was being tested somehow by his client. Would her perfectly mannered date sit and wait for her in the crappy weather? The answer for the moment was, unfortunately, yes. It wouldn't do to throw a fit just because his date was running a few minutes late. No, he'd just would have to bear through it. Or at least he would have if several rather strange things didn't suddenly happen in succession.
The first was the appearance of a rather... feminine looking fellow who by his estimation must have been some sort of Shinigami. Anybody else might have mistaken him for a female, so willowy were his looks, but if nothing else Haeru had a talent for noticing things that nobody else did. Say for example an adam's apple from across a busy street. The effeminate man had apparently come to either enjoy the park or see the children. He didn't know which but he didn't sense any sort of danger or ill will as the Shinigami's aura was tranquil and calm. He was forced to remind himself that he was in Karakura now, people didn't react so strangely to things like that around here. He might have even been able to walk around in his true form though it was doubtful. People generally didn't react well to Demons no matter where you went.
While the initial probing pulse that attempted to gauge his power went unnoticed by the redhead, the second wave of power that sent subtle tremors through the environment around him did not. Watching the reiatsu travel like proverbial ripples in the pond, his eyes followed it back to its source as yet another, stronger pulse made the awning above him shed water in a small shower of droplets. So, the pink haired punk was more then he'd appeared and now he was staring right at him. Was this some sort of challenge? How could this man possibly know who he was? Was it sheer coincidence? Haeru's eyes scanned the environment in a quick sweep as he tensed in a fight-or-flight response, taking in the locations of civilians and possible escape routes. He had prepared in that moment to simply vanish in a display of his rather impressive speed until the man's words reached his ears.
”Oi. I take it you're Haeru?”
That in and of itself was enough to make him pause as his mind whirled to reach the conclusions it needed. The man knew his name. He wasn't from here, nobody should know his name, so this man knew it through other means. But how? Wait, he'd already been here when Haeru had arrived meaning he'd known where the redhead would show up. How was that possible? He'd set up the meeting place via hiring him as an escort. One mystery down. But how had this guy known his name? Obviously he'd known it before setting up the meeting and had targeted him specifically.
"The agency told me of you. I'm sure you don't know who I am, but I know who you are. You hide that little power of yours well, if I can give you my opinion. The name's Azure." “
Well that answered that. His agency had sold him out? But how the hell had they known? The man definitely seemed to be aware that there was more to Haeru than he let on and obviously had some abilities himself so what was his agenda? Did he mean a threat by his actions just now? It was hard to tell. The meeting had been arranged in public when it could just have easily been made to happen in some back alley where the man could do away with him privately. On the other hand maybe the civilians in the area were just meant to be collateral; 'Do what I want or these people pay the price'. Usually Haeru could read people like a book but this guy was like a blank wall. There was so much he didn't know about what was happening but the one thing he did know is that he would have to tread carefully or there could potentially be a lot of collateral damage. For now the man wasn't attacking, but if Haeru tried to flee things could get ugly very fast even if he seriously doubted he would be caught. He couldn't have other people getting hurt weighing on his conscience right now, it would just be too much. In the end he warily stood his ground and turned his own charming smile back on the man. Maybe he could just convince him there was some sort of mistake and send him on his way, though the coiling in his gut seemed to think otherwise.
'Yo there Haeru, take a breath. Steel your nerves and prepare yourself. Panicking isn't going to help anyone. If he means harm don't let yourself be caught with your pants down, but you can see what he wants as long as you keep your guard up. I don't sense anything malevolent from this guy.'
Hacchakeru's words steeled the young man somewhat as he tilted his head to respond in a way that was by all appearances perfectly casual.
”Ah, so I see that you're the 'young lady' that I was supposed to be meeting. Don't feel uncomfortable, your identity is safe with me; I perfectly understand your need for discretion. I'm honored that someone as handsome as you would know of me.” His statement was accompanied by a sly and well practiced smile that probably would have had quite the effect on someone that actually swung that way. ”I'll admit that you're the first person that's told me I have a power, haha~ You make me sound like a superhero or something but we both know that good genes are nothing but a lottery. I'm just very fortunate to have the looks I do and to have a good time with other people as good looking as yourself.”
Punctuating his words with a dazzling but naive smile, he let out a small laugh every bit the picture of a charming escort. He wasn't fooling himself into thinking that this man was interested in him in that way but maybe if he could play stupid convincingly enough he could be convinced he'd made a mistake and leave.

As Arron was about to sit down, he felt a small shockwave flowing through the area. It was nothing, but it was an attention grabber. He knew the likely source as he felt a slightly stronger one pass through. Apparently his day was not going to be peaceful and relaxing one he had hoped for. Since this concerned the head of the vanguard, Arron felt that he should at least be nearby to help evacuate any civilians if needed. Arron quickly located the man Aruze was talking to since there was only one other being near him. As Arron moved closer, he gathered small movements in this Haeru. Ones that he developed not to show. Eyes were quickly darting around gathering many exits as possible. Planning escape routes and figure out where every person is. Twitches in the arms and legs for flight or fight responses. Then Haeru did something that Arron excepted, smooth-talking his way out of there.
”Ah, so I see that you're the 'young lady' that I was supposed to be meeting. Don't feel uncomfortable, your identity is safe with me; I perfectly understand your need for discretion. I'm honored that someone as handsome as you would know of me. I'll admit that you're the first person that's told me I have a power, haha~ You make me sound like a superhero or something but we both know that good genes are nothing but a lottery. I'm just very fortunate to have the looks I do and to have a good time with other people as good looking as yourself.”
"Playing the fool only works on opponents that are weak minded. Although I doubt the Hybrid King, would be so easily fooled. After all, you don't have a dull mind if you run an organization such as the Vanguard." Arron said walking towards the side of Haeru. He made sure he was standing far enough way as to not interfere with Azure's work. Also, as not to impose on the being, he was talking to.
However Arron as standing in his position for another reason as well. The way he figured it, Haeru found at least five points of escape. Give and take a few depending on how clever the man was. Arron, on the other hand, had counted twenty escape routes. Not many would even see them since you would need to be paranoid just to spot some of them. He made sure to stand in the path that would leave at least eleven of those paths unavailable. It also didn't look like Arron was ready to attack at moments notices. A skill he learned was very useful, one that he still used this very day. Mainly because most Shinigami fight with their blades. That meant in a tense situation they would place their hands on their weapon. Arron instead used a Kidō and Hakuda. A style he developed through the ringers of life while battling hollows for almost five hundred years. Arron stood back for know since his main priority was to evacuate any civilians.

Zane Fenier
Iron Cross Commander of the Kokuryuteshi
As certain things seemed to be coming together in this city, Zane had to agree, that many things needed to be changed before, things could be put to rest. Besides that of Shadin Yuudeshi, another target came to the young Kokuryuteishian's head one day. Such would bring about the actions that were about to occur upon this day, the day that Zane hoped it would be marked with the fall of the leader of the Vanguard, Azure Iramasha. The Organization known as the Vanguard has only been quite a problem for the Kokuryuteshi Realms goals even though they claimed to be protectors of the world, or in his mind "protectors of a flawed world.". Earth, did not yet, hold the perfections that were of the Kokuryuteshi Realm. Eventually though, they would reach their goal, and sooner or later, Kin would inevitably change the world for the better. Zane Fenier's only wish during all of this, was to help protect them, so that goal can be accomplished. This was only another stepping stone in the rain, though his mind, as he manged to be upon the streets of Sukai Karakura.
As he walked he reminded himself that the rain, in Sukai Karakura, had to be modified to accept the facts that no only was it so far in the air, but how cold it could get above them as well. He made it into this city utilizing his universal shift to disguise his power and presence across the city. With the amount of high powered sources in the small part of the world didn't trip anything, his forged identity was going to only work out for him this simply as a one time deal. Zane learned many things about sneaking around in enemy turf from the silver cross, but he took into consideration, advice from his fellow commander, Yako Grim, a man that had wandered in to Karakura Central on many occasion before getting caught by the likes of Shadin Yuudeshi himself. The most important part about that though was that he had experience of escaping, after he was found out and they tried to capture him, but he succeeded in getting away from them, alive as well, something that many would expect out of him as the Ruby Cross Commander.
The time to begin the strike was now upon Zane Fenier, as he was making his approach to the target, who seemed to be involved in another matter in the streets of Karakura, a secure time to strike, he believed. Shockwaves that he seemed to have sent only made thing all the more easier to locating him, he wondered, why he released his signature at all. It made things appear interesting as he approached, it would seem as if people were wandering away from the area, either on command or, from their own senses of the shockwaves that came by them. He would have to agree, that if he were of their level as of now, he would also not want to toy with the supernatural of this city. Not many good things would come of it as he was one of the loners that continued to approach and stick around the area of concern. It would appear quite clear, what he was up to as he approached wearing, what appeared to be the casual summer attire of a teenage boy, wearing black shorts along with a plain red shirt, something that could appear natural. As for the disguising of his power, that was the true trick at play. Due to his seal on the back of his neck, most of his power was sealed away beyond it for the time being until he really needed it. As for his actual signature, he even played that off of himself.
Utilizing Universal Shift, he gave off little spiritual energy, more so he gave off, what one would only find in an object, if there is any, his signature was instead attached to the building and objects that he walked around. As he drew ever more near, his signature would be implemented on the center of Megumi square, making it quite difficult to place. Given that Azure has never encountered Zane, it should be very difficult to discern it besides that it is not natural for the center, or a normal person. From here, nothing would be held back as things were starting to wind into motion. He was going to drop his little tricks, trying to out the like of Azure, so to start it off. Waves of energy flowed from the center of the square, expanding to cover the area in the sense, that massive foe has entered into the area. As people were clearing out with a snap of Zane's fingers, floating spiritual shields would hopefully be appearing across the square forming a very large container for the participants that were now locked inside. As this container fell completely, anything within would feel as if they were disconnected from the outside world. Signals of any kind would not reach, within or out, all the while those that utilized chaos warp or energy manipulation would also feel a disconnect to the outside area.
Simply stated, Utilizing things like the Yuudeshi Network, Project Hell Harvester, and the URE Realm would not be an option for the time being. By now, Azure should be able to identify this as the work of a certain Kokuryuteshi Commander's power, but how much he knew, would truly be the question that is at hand. "Thank you for making yourself easily found Azure Iramasha, now then, I will be the one terminating you." He explained as ten of those shields that formed the dome, now materialized around him. "If you wish to have your allies spared here, then fall silently and without resistance." Zane added and waited for a response, keeping his guard up and watched the three that were gathered with a small smirk, if they had truly become locked within his trap, it was only a matter of how smart and how resourceful Azure is against the likes of him, Zane Fenier.
He looked forward to what might be coming.

Azure shifted his body weight to the left to catch the breeze that had subsequently blown through Megumi Plaza. The day seemed to only get stranger and stranger as Azure watched the events fold out as he spoke. The male before him was shocked, it was more than obvious to those that would be watching. What Azure was not expecting.. was why the fucking hell did this Male expect to get away with Azure being absolutely dumbfounded? Turning his head to listen to the youngin, Azure realized that he was trying his damndest to weasel his way out of interacting with the Organization leader. He meant to worry him, freak him out. Ew, why is he saying all these things about a male? is the route that the male was trying to go for. To Haeru's dismay, Azure would not be persuaded by some fancy talk of him being a lovely looking male. Azure has dealt with this comments from others more so than Haeru will ever know, he understood he was a pretty boy. Despite it not being helped, Haeru still tried his damndest to make it clear that he was an Escort. Just, an escort.
"Tsk Tsk. Haeru, you definitely aren't very convincing... Not only that but your own spirit had to coax you into calming down." Azure's lips abruptly opened, a loud laugh emitting from the male's very insides as he slapped his knee. It was as if he couldn't contain his reactions, the spirit within Haeru gave off an energy signature stating that he was worried for the boy, and Haeru himself was far too jittery to keep up the act of "Please no, I'm only a lowly Escort!". Not only did Haeru seem to not realize who he was dealing with, that shinigami from earlier had butted in between the two only slightly. Of course, Azure couldn't care less about the fact he came by. He was in fact hoping that the male would find his way over to the two, like Azure had thought previously, another recruit is something Azure would definitely vie for in this situation. The pretty boy was precise with his actions and words, the way he positioned himself was obvious. He'd wish to stop Haeru from making his way away from the group as quickly as possible. Clever, but obvious, thought Azure.
"Playing the fool only works on opponents that are weak minded. Although I doubt the Hybrid King, would be so easily fooled. After all, you don't have a dull mind if you run an organization such as the Vanguard." Huh? Did Azure hear that correctly? This male knew of him as the Hybrid King, it was as if Azure had been known more so throughout the world than he had originally thought. Hearing those words come from someone such as a Shinigami was also very.. interesting. It was a good feeling, knowing that his actions weren't going unnoticed. That was Azure's purpose as the leader of The Vanguard, he was here to protect earth and make sure that no one would be taking their anger or chaos out on the world. Not... that it hadn't already happened, but it was something that would be rectified, Azure can swear that on whatever child he may bore within the years to come. Anywho, once against opening his mouth to respond to the male known as Haeru, Azure smiled slightly. He understood why he would be so jumpy, why be... an asshole about it?
"I'm really sorry about the laughing... I understand why you would be so worried. Strange man requests you specifically from the Agency you work on as a female, he turns out to be a male of incredible strength and one that can sense what you have due to his own abilities. No one knows, I take it. You hid it well when you were with most of your clients, but there was a single incident that you slipped up on. I'm not sure if you remember, but an Informant of mine relayed a message of you taking down three men rather swiftly and precisely. Now, don't worry, I'm definitely not here to cause you any harm. I'm from an Organization know as The Vanguard, like this Shinigami over here stated. I'm the leader of this Organization and we've been looking to recruit new members for our cause. We're here to defend earth and help those that live here. No ifs ands or buts, it's our number one and only goal. To help the humans and beings of earth, unlike shadowfall. Now, I'd like to offer the two of you a proposition. As I said, we need members... I'd be willing to help with training if you two needed it, I would just like to k---" Azure was cut off abruptly, the shockwave that he had previously sent through the ground had picked up on an abnormal source of energy. This signature bounced from one thing to the next, as if it were in all the objects around the group of men. Fuck... Azure thought, shifting his body to view the area around them. Picking up on the only person that could be connected to the energy, Azure focused in on him. He looked around Azure's age, and with the way he had begun to manipulate the energy around him it was obvious he was wielding it against them.
In a swift motion, Azure's body dropped to the ground in a small crouch as both of his hands rested into the Plaza's center. By focusing a mass amount of chaos energy in a quick burst, Azure was able to release a chaos warp capable of getting each civilian in the area into the safety of the Vanguard Headquarters Basement Shelter. The man approached Azure and the other two as he began to speak. As he spoke, shields formed around the four of them as soon as Azure had rose from his crouched position. According to the man, he was here to kill Azure and wouldn't mind risking the lives of his newly found comrades. This was exactly what Azure wanted from today. He definitely wished for some lunatic asshole to interrupt his daily rounds of recruitment and take his head! It's obviously the best way to live your day out, right?
Letting a small smile form on his lips, Azure began to feel the rain dissipate from the area they were now covered within. This was the straw Azure did not wish to be crossed. He could attack him, he could threaten the safety of his allies, but the one thing that made this job easy was the rain that seemed to always plague Karakura on long summer days. What sort of bastard would remove such a beautiful thing from their current area in time? It was calming, refreshing, and made fighting a wonderful thing. If anything, Azure would need this god forsaken barrer destroyed at one point. Raising his left hand to his forehead, a silver bangle jingled softly against his wrist. "Oi, Haeru. Shinigami. Step back..." Releasing this statement from his lips, Azure's body completely became enveloped in chaos energy, his hair swaying softly with the breeze created by the massive amount of energy he just released. The gale of wind swirled around the dome that stood within, Azure no longer hiding his full power. The energy pressure could have ill effects on both Haeru and the Shinigami if they weren't used to such a feeling, but other than that the gale shouldn't knock them down, yet.
"Don't grow so cocky without even knowing what you've requested. You may not know, but I'm not some pansy ass push over man. You won't be having an easy time with taking my head if that's why you've decided to bring your disgusting mug to my home. Who the fuck do you think you are in the first place? I'm Azure Iramasha, you aren't taking me down without a god damn fight, bastard."
Slowly dropping his arm back to his side, Azure's face now held nothing but a menacing snarl, something you'd compare to that of a dog. If anything, there were influences of both his brother and father within his power. The primal like energy flowing from his body was that of a rabid animal, the dark and twisted energy swirling into the air is something that could be akin to his father's own Devil energy. Azure felt the connection to the Hell Harvester abruptly end, a neat little trick that this mysterious man must have had a part in. No matter, he wouldn't be getting away with whatever he had planned.
"Haeru, Shinigami. Make sure you stay as far back as possible. Look at the dome, see if you can break through it. This guy is all mine..." Releasing another burst of energy, Azure's body manipulated itself, an after image of his former position appearing as his speed increased and increased with each step around the plaza. Dashing forward, Azure dropped slightly forward to bring his body up into a spiraling uppercut. If the fight had to be initiated, why not he do so, Eh?

So... he wasn't buying it, perfect. The man even seemed entirely aware of Hacchakeru down to the moment he'd been reassured by the spirit. There was no use denying it anymore and he was about to just flat out ask what the man wanted when another party decided to get involved. Here he was being confronted by god knows who when the pink haired man's pet dog felt the need to step in and seal off what Haeru supposed he must have considered his escape route. Or at least that was what Haeru had been thinking until the Shinigami spoke to the other man. Watching the exchange, the punkish one's flickering expression of surprise indicated that they weren't familiar with each other in the way comrades were. So this girly-man was here by complete coincidence. What good fortune that he had not one but two weirdos on his case today. What had he ever done to deserve such scrutiny? Giving a sideways glance at the feminine one who was doing a poor job of looking like he'd just casually come to rest in that particular position, the innocent smile fell of Haeru's face as his expression went entirely flat. As he gave the Shinigami a quick once-over his eyes never once lingered on his sword. Instead he gaze seemed to hover over the man's hands for a brief moment.
'That aura, the condition of his hands and arms and the way they glow, not to mention he's got that scent about him. Unarmed combat and magic, interesting.
'If push comes to shove just go through the pretty one if you have to. He's not stopping us from going anywhere. Now the one with the jacket on the other hand... I have an odd feeling we should just hear him out.'
The temptation was there to show off with some sort of witty one liner of which he had several but he decided wasn't wise to tip a single card about what he knew to total strangers unless he was prepared to fight in earnest. Ultimately he turned his full attention back to the pink haired one leaving the Shinigami at the corner of his peripheral which perhaps said enough how he felt about that. Simply letting the man talk now that he'd dropped the charade to an extent, the punk went on to explain just how Haeru had been outed. Well no good deed went unpunished it seemed and though the man went on to assure him that he meant no harm he had perfectly valid reasons to think that this wasn't a pleasure call. Apparently he was from some group known as the Vanguard, some self styled Defenders-of-Earth bunch by the sound of it and they needed members. So this was some sort of scouting? He'd defended his client from some low level trash one time and now he was getting the figurative golden ticket? Where was this douche when he'd tried to defend an entire orphanage by himself in his youth? What had he gotten for that other than a kick out the door? And yet, he couldn't deny the part of himself that wanted so desperately to know just what was on the other side of the veil so to speak. Why did a Demon live inside of him? Just what could he do with these crazy powers if he had someone to help him master them? Could he really use them to help people instead of just withering away while pretending he didn't have them? He would have thought about it more but it was at that moment that shit seemed to very abruptly hit the fan.
Suddenly everywhere he looked there was a featureless silhouette peering back at him. The chairs, the buildings, every single thing in the vicinity had the unmistakable glow of a living spiritual presence. Before he could process what was going on, two things happened in immediate succession. The first was the punk using some sort of technique to warp away the civilians and the second was a composite barrier of immense power forming to trap the remaining people in. Now the pink haired man, apparently named Azure, was telling him to break the barrier somehow? How was he supposed to do that when the one who cast it was so obviously beyond his level and for that matter just what the fuck was going on here? Casting a look at the one who had intruded on the square, their aura was so intense it was almost blinding. Not a moment later Azure was releasing enough reiatsu to match the other but he happened to be much closer and so the effect was a lot greater. Stumbling away and trying not to vomit from the sheer pressure baring down on him, Haeru tried to regain his focus. The barrier. Get out of here. Get to safety. Without further prompting he felt Hacchakeru release his full power into his system and with it the battering ocean of reiatsu around him subsided just enough for the clarity to come back into his thoughts. Eyes now blood red, horns, fangs and all the true Haeru cast his gaze around trying to see any weakness in the barrier.
'Listen to me, stay calm. Punk-sama is clearly protecting you but in the mean time you need to see about getting out of here.
There was too much happening at once that the redhead wasn't able to understand and so he did the only thing he could do in his situation, using his not-unimpressive speed to distance himself from the fighting duo. 'Did he just... throw an uppercut at that guy? Coming up against the barrier he scrutinized it as best he could, reading the flow of energy to try to get any clue as to how he could break such a thing. Blinking, he realized that he couldn't see the aura of a single thing beyond the barrier. It was then that it dawned on him that he couldn't feel the presence of anything other than the other three men in the dome though he would have been hardpressed to pick out anything other than the two massive energy signatures clashing against each other.
His first thought was simply to tear a hole in space with the Demon talent known as Kage Chokyo-Shi, (though Haeru himself didn't know it's name), but he couldn't connect it to a space outside. So much for that. Raising his palm he gathered a surprisingly dense trio of spheres of black and red energy, sending the unusually powerful spell (despite never being taught a single incantation) spiraling into the side of the barrier. The resulting blast was enough to send a breeze across the inner battleground yet when the light had cleared the dome didn't have a single chip in it. Straining his eyes to see anything of advantage, he wasn't sure what he was looking for. He'd already noticed that the barrier was weakest at the points it was farthest away from its owner but even attacking at the furthest possible point hadn't put a single dent in it. Peering closely he could tell that the dome was made of many smaller barriers, maybe attacking at the 'seams' would have a better chance of doing damage? A moment later his eyes glinted as he started to formulate a plan. First though, he would need the necessary tools.
'Let's do this Haccha. Kami knows I can't fight so I'm going to need every drop of reiatsu you can spare.
'I don't have much left to give but what I have I give to thee oh Haeru!', came the slightly amused reply from the other. Even so, his toned was noticeably subdued from the seriousness of the situation as Haeru's aura picked up a bit further.
”Penetrate and receive; make me one with them, Aiyoku!” As the undulating wave of needles materialized around him in a vaguely bandoleer-like shape Haeru turned to the Shinigami. ”Hey you, feel like getting out of here to survive to fight another day? I might need that magic of yours to do it. The two of us will have better chances if we stick together right now so we'll put your little insult from earlier behind us yeah?”
