» Name: Akakotei Erobern» Titles: Aki, Master, Bloody Emperor
» Age: Looks to be about 23 truly is 441 years old
» Gender: Male
» Affiliation/Rank: Erobern Family
» True Appearance Written: Though he is a Demon by nature and by race, Akakotei stands with what looks like a average human body, not seemingly out of the ordinary he looks to be no more a threat than a highschool boy with his age hard to determine due to his young look. Standing at about 5'10 his height is not exceptional though his look is and personality would make it seem that no matter what or who he is looking at they are being looked down upon, with some close exceptions of course. What is more interesting about his body while athletic and powerful as a demon's could be he keeps a thin yet conserved look with his muscle mass focusing on being lean and concentrated to refine his own way of fighting as Aki found that he did not feel he needed to change his appearance to make anything better than it could already be focusing on his body as it was to make it better. This seems to be rather odd considering most demons tend to boast about their power and show it through their body whether to make it look terrifying or beautiful in different respects though Akakotei finds it unappealing to demonstrate power through his form rather finding it to be much more appropriate to let actions show his true strength.
Another part of his body that tends to be rather unnatural is his crimson hair, though it is not uncommon for a demon to have such a outlandish color of hair the bloody haired creature seems to almost have the blood of the enemies that he had destroyed in his life soak into his body and seemingly gather into his hair, though that might be a rumor as he has always had such a mane of hair though no one from his past could be reached to ask whether or not any of the stories were true. Though this does tend to be a rather mysterious situation that he has put himself in Akakotei does not find anything about his hair to be notable it has simply always been crimson and people chose as such to call him an affable nickname from the expected nature of such a violently red shade of hair especially considering that the name given by it is anything but a friendly name to be called.
Though his hair is definitely a point of reference that many are drawn to it is the main centerpiece of his face that tends to draw more attention, that being his eyes. Looking at him from one side will only tell you half of the story, seemingly the Demon has heterochromia and has one eye colored in the same shade of red that his hair takes, on the other side his other eye is colored with a shade of piercing yellow, this look makes the demon's gaze off putting as his yellow eye seems to pierce even through the darkness in the dead of night to stare downwards at those that cross his path at such a dangerous time... His eyes seem to also be rather demonic in there own right with the pupil being almost slit in its nature akin to a monster's eyes rather than a human's though this difference makes them more prominent and naturally a point of reference for those who meet the Demon.
On another note the crimson Demon tends to have a rather wide variety of clothing choices for almost any occasion. Though he does tend to wear formal wear akin to suits and dress shirts in most cases his style is not exclusively formed of such clothing with everything from loose fitting tanktops for training to even kimonos to wear in the comfort of his own house, though he only tends to wear such a thing in private as it is less restrictive than a suit or dress-wear. Moreover Akakotei has a habit of carrying what seems to be a pair of scissors with him, seemingly a relic from a time before his current situation this item tends to be used as a form of visual punishment for those who choose to act up against the wishes of the family or who simply choose to get in his way and if they choose to persist with their interference these sharp blades will be less a warning and more a instrument of torture, as such a tool could be for someone with an imagination...

» Personality:
Might makes right: The way of thinking of Akakotei had been administered to him since the day he was born. For years his family went about making it a point that for someone like him to succeed he would have to be victorious in anything he did, though this would usually turn a person to be more cocky and full of themselves when dealing with others the control of the Demon tends to be shown in this respect. When he is dealing with an issue or fighting with someone or something his priority is to obtain victory against them, though there are certain circumstances where this has been lampooned for his own personal gain he still finds that the importance of being strong is that with strength no one can look to harm those that you find important lest they face the wrath of a creature more terrifying than anything they could imagine.
Akakotei expects such things in his allies and family as well, he does not wish to see any of the children or extended family be forced under by those stronger than them and will seek to improve their power to have them be prepared for the next confrontation where they would show the Erobern family's true nature as both powerful and worthy of respect. Though he does tend to find that this is his feelings towards the Erobern family Aki also finds it important that those with strength are those in the right, this is proven by their victory and by proving their strength to get so far in such a harsh world as this... For Akakotei those who show such impressive power are worthy of respect, though only to the extent that they would be a good opponent and a worthy rival.
History is written by the victors: This is another part of the Demon's philosophy, in his eyes as far as they can see those who win are the ones who decide the truth of things, more than this it is important to seek victory in all aspects as with this anyone could possibly make their marks on history. Due to this Aki claims only one thing. "I always win, therefore I am always right... This is the simple truth of the world" Such thinking is what the Demon finds to be appropriate for the his current and future situations, he looks to achieve excellence in all categories no matter what and will not settle for second best in a competition or a battle. He looks to put this idea into the thoughts of his comrades and family as well, whatever they are doing he hopes that they seek to be the best and take victory over others as if they do then they are the ones who are in the position to make the truth of the world as they see fit.
For himself, however Akakotei has pulled back his more vicious tendencies from his younger life in terms of this notion of victory at all costs, this was due to his own feelings and wish to be the best going above all things in his life, with more people that he cares about on the line at this point Aki is only willing to put himself up for the sacrificial altar if it means victory as it would be pointless if those he looked to gain it for would be nothing more than corpses in his wake. Though he does tend to hold back when the others he cares for are not around him he finds the growing hunger for conquest and victory looking to escape and in some respects he lets it unfold to seek glory and make sure that his tendencies do not get the better of him when those he loves are behind him.
Absolute Trust: This is a stance that the crimson haired man follows with gusto, in his own eyes those who follow him or act with him deserve his absolute trust and they should be considered as a extension of himself. In this way Akakotei puts his utmost trust and respect in those that choose to work with him and will do everything he can to improve them and make it so they can all obtain victory. This can later be turned on its head if those he is with can no longer fight or have lost the will to continue on, if this is the case he would take it upon himself to act as the leader and even in the most dire moments make it a point that he would sacrifice himself if they were to escape unharmed and if they were to lose due to there own weakness he would take it out on himself as punishment is due to the one that let those around them down and in this respect it would be viewed that he himself would take all the blame for the loss as he would no longer be able to count himself as the leader and 'winner' that he sought to portray himself as.
Though this seems to be an act of selflessness that seems almost suicidal it acts as a form of propaganda in itself, for someone such as he to be willing to die and take on all the negatives for a loss those who follow Akakotei will be improved upon by getting better or stronger or seeking to obtain victory to a greater extent. This is what he does to seek victory and make those he is with even more powerful, he would be willing to do anything even gouge his own eyes out and hand them to his allies in penance for there loss all to enforce the idea that victory is essential in all areas and for him it would be a needed penance to take a punishment for not grant his allies victory in their efforts in all respects that they ask of him.
Due to this self-sacrificing attitude some could consider Aki to be almost insane in his fervency to success though as of this point he has yet to lose to anyone in the respect that he would need to do be so drastic and take such steps to push his allies forward.
The Emperor: One of the most important factors of Akakotei's persona is his pride as a leader and a conquer. This is something that had been bore into the Demon from his first day where he could understand. While people who are not born to greatness simply settle down and let the world pass them by Aki takes the initiative by choosing to be the ruler and leader that those masses need. Akakotei of course takes the position of leader when he needs to, whether it be around friends or family he will always be sure to act as a pillar of strength for those who do not have the power to stand on their own. This leadership role that he pushes himself into seems to work for the youthful looking Demon as his days growing up were spent having been told that he was needed to be the person people look up to and respect as a leader when no one else will. Of course as this is his natural role the Demon will do seek to improve those who are under him and acts as a powerful example that people should follow.
This prideful nature tends to be a issue as well though, minus a few people who he views as the special few Aki refuses to let most look down on him, whether it be height wise or simply someone viewing themselves better than him, Akakotei refuses to let anyone other than his subordinates or members of the Erobern family to look him in the eye as a equal if those who wish to take it upon themselves to make themselves his enemy.
Of course he does respect his enemy's strength but as they have made themselves his enemy they should not be so discourteous to look him in the eye as if they are his equal in this battle as though they have the power to fight him they have yet proven that they are capable of beating him or even winning against the emperor looking below to them.
The Father: Above all else however Akakotei finds that when it comes to his world the family that he has is of the utmost importance to him. From the children to his most cherished loved one if anyone seeks to injure or even take those he cares for away from him he will not stop until the only thing that could be said of the persons involved was that they were completely annihilated and that even mentioning their names in his presence could be a situation where they too would also be quickly dispatched by the crimson emperor for reminding him of such a poisonous soul.
This action comes from his love for everyone in his family, though some of his family members may find that his actions go beyond the beck and call he does not see it that way as anyone who would dirty those who he cares for are only worthy of either death or punishment that extends to be worse than a painful death.
This does not mean that he simply views his family as absolute and perfect, his love for them keeps them from being too harshly punished but he assuredly keeps those who he wishes to protect from going to off the handle and being to excessive with their actions if he needs to discipline one of the children he would though he would leave such things to their mother if need be as she is more experienced with the use of torture or treating the children or other family members with punishment for their misdeeds.
As a Emperor you must also be a Gentleman: When it comes to etiquette Akakotei is assuredly someone who seeks nothing but the best from everyone around him in terms of being a gentleman, he will seek to show those around him proper behavior and treating people with respect even against those who are his enemies. This makes it so Aki is ever respectful in combat and outside of it, usually more towards females than anything else as he finds that being a gentleman towards men is considered some sort of sign of disrespect or arrogance and simply acts as a respectful rival towards his enemies. Though this continues towards his actions towards women and children, to which he acts as a kindly father or a noble young lord if they are accounted as being worthy of such kind actions.
This nobility tends to put him at a disadvantage in some cases as he finds it difficult to fight women or those he perceives as children even if they were older than him as he does not like the idea of confronting those who would fight with such a form, but that does not mean they are exempt from the brunt of his full force as if he needs to he will crush those that look to attack his family and look to discomfort those he calls allies with extreme force.
Your power is your own, though it can be more...: In connection with his own feelings Akakotei finds that the power of those he cares for can falter and weaken if not properly tempered, this makes it so the Crimson Emperor would look to improve and work with those he calls family. His power makes it so he can find the hidden potential in a person even by looking at them, as such Aki has made it a point to improve on those he feels need it as they may lack the confidence or personality to reach themselves it is up to someone like him to make their power shine through the mediocrity that it may try to hide behind. In some cases this is from his own nature as someone who looks to improve those that he cares for but also it is a part of his nature that makes him believe that those who are under him should be at 100% or they will not contribute to the efforts that he is looking for.
This nature on improvement makes Akakotei a strong teacher and he looks to improve on the power that a person clearly has while also making sure that any hidden potential is revealed to him and the person he is aiding so they can both be sure where their strengths lie so Aki can use said strength or they may be able to act independently with aid of the powerful father figure at their back.
» Likes: Circa Monstrua, Shogi, Chess, Horse riding, Reading, Green tea, Cutting tools.
» Dislikes: Disobedient pets, Tennis, Speaking on his own past, Weak brands of tea, eye drops.
» Relationships:
Circa Monstrua: As it would be expected for someone who is married to another, Akakotei is in love with Circa and in terms of people who he can trust and respect he counts her as the one person without question that he can trust to be there for him as well as being the person that he would go above and beyond to both help and protect from any harm. Though his position is that of a ruler, with Circa Aki tends to be more calm and kindly as akin to his more fatherly nature. It is in this case that the Demon also will seek to bring retribution against those who try to harm his wife, even threats against her act as an aggressive action and will be returned with not just the same sort of offence but complete and total annihilation. That is the only equal payment that could be served for someone who tries to disrespect his family and his wife in such a clear way. However all this anger rising from the disrespect is from his love towards his wife who he feels is a strong enough woman and a person that he can connect to and be sure to help her through both the good and the bad.
Leonardo Erobern: The brother of Circa though through slight adoption and one of the people in the family that Akakotei can trust to act dependently on his own efforts, Though the man is clearly rather 'out there' due to his prior experiences elsewhere Aki understands that he is not one to be controlled or manipulated to work for the greater good of the family and more than this Akakotei knows that the mad hatter is not in the best of minds and it would be for the best to aim for him not to interfere with his thought process or his actions as the mad hatter will act to go deeper down the rabbit hole and in order to do this he may need to leave his family behind, but though it would be a difficult change for the Erobern's in Aki's eyes it would not be right to keep Leonardo away from the world of wonderland as he will seek to do what is needed to get there and to make sure that Alice is seemingly chopped up to pieces...
Lilith Erobern: When it comes to the first child of Circa, Akakotei loves her like any father would, in this respect he finds that though her personality changes quite constantly he tries to keep up with her actions to make sure she does not get into any trouble, this can lead to either her being protected or having someone who looks to test or eliminate those that she chooses to makes friends of... All for the safety of the family obviously, if she wishes to she can ask for him not to do anything to her new friends though that would most likely depend on whether or not Circa trusts them as well.
Tukiko: As another one of the forms of Lilith the Crimson demon sees her the same as the daughter previously, though of course he has certain differing parental values with her. Due to her rather hopeless nature when it comes to the people that she is attracted to Akakotei knows that he would not need to deal with them if they hurt her as she would do such if needed. Due to her rather childish behavior it also makes Aki more fatherly around her as well with him being more willing to play if she asked it of him.
Leiko: One of the more... 'problematic' forms of Lilith Akakotei tends to view her as more of someone who needs encouragement but a tough but fair attitude to keep her from getting to out of control. In most cases he would not be above bribing her with something that she wanted in order for her to be better behaved, at least so she doesn't bring one of her 'conquests' through the house to show and most likely to make a rather unseemly mess of the grounds.
Etsu: Even more problematic however is the form taken called Etsu, her rather violent behavior while a entertaining afterthought can get her into more trouble than it can get her out of it. When dealing with her Aki tends to use his rather calm nature to keep things from exploding outwards though using a more stern hand in this case tends to make it so he acts as a father just trying to keep his daughter from getting into too much trouble. He knows that any woman in the family can take care of themselves but it is still important for him to make sure that she is alright.
Yukine: One of the more silent personas that Lilith takes on, in this form Akakotei does not have much in the way of parenting to do as he knows that for someone like Yukine its best to let them have their distance. This does not mean he ignores Yukine though, he will look to treat the boy form of Lilith as he does the others with respect and care in different forms to make them comfortable no matter what sort of skin they are wearing.
Discord: When this form is awake the Crimson Emperor knows that the situation is dire, and if this is the case he will look to make it so the threat that is around or Discord are dealt with appropriately. With Discord he feels that actions are more effective than words, as such he will 'play' with her while she remains outside her usually form though he doesn't mind her abrasiveness in some cases. Moreover due to her rather erratic and perhaps insane nature he will look to calm her as best he can this is simply something that he has gotten use to when dealing with the family and tends to do it rather frequently.
Eji Erobern: Though rather rambunctious and somewhat lazy Akakotei respects that the young looking boy has a loyal nature towards the Erobern family as someone that is willing to fight for them and act as a ward for the Leonardo whose position is rather shifty even at the best of times. Though his position as a split of two races has lead to him being an outcast for most of his life Aki accounts that a person should be based on their merits and not what they are, as such even with a sordid background Aki only makes a point to congratulate or bemuse the kitsune for his victories or defeats depending on how the actions goes.
Kaito Yuudeshi: Though not a true part of the family, in a roundabout way Akakotei respects Kaito in the same way that he does Eji. Though his loner attitude and other wise hermit behavior can be considered to be an issue Akakotei understand where his powers lie and therefore he does not try to force the boy to do anything he doesn't wish to do making it so it is his own decision to aid the family if he wishes.. Though considering the insistence of the women of the Erobern's it may not be such a free choice after all...

» History
Noblesse Oblige
The beginnings of the Demon were rather grand in comparison to other demons. He was born into a noble family within the Demon world, the name of which has seemingly been stricken from time itself, the reasons for this range from fading into obscurity as so many nobles do when they have lost their usefulness to there supposed destruction until nothing remained but ash, that and one member of their family... The red-headed demon was the youngest of at least seven other children, all of which had some sort of skill or aim or goal to prove that they were the one to truly lead the family into the next generation as its head. Akakotei was brought up under the assumption that as a member of the family he had a duty to prove his worth and also he must show excellence in all areas that he sought to achieve in. For many such things would be a harsh rule to follow, especially for a child even as a youth Aki was forced into training regiments and studies that would make even an adult cry out in anguish.
However this was what was expected of him as well as his brothers and sisters, though the position that he was born into made it so he was considered the biggest threat by his family members. The name he was given was the only thing left recorded in the family after its destruction, the name 'Akakotei' It was the title of the first leader of the family and was meant as a declaration of the role that the child would look to strive for when as he grew older, the leader of the family and the ruler of those that he would see under him. Such a title being thrust upon him from birth made it so the youth was constantly at odds with his siblings, even though they already had to fight each other for the aim of becoming the heir to the family having the baby boy whose hair and eyes seemed to share the connection to his namesake made them all the more spiteful and ambitious to put the boy in his place, which in some cases was considered six feet under.
With threats of death on one side and a position of greatness being forced on him since birth the young boy was simply afraid most of the time of his own family. His parents did not aid him for doing so would be a sign of weakness on their part and it would not make him any stronger. Aki was alone in his struggles with only his family who seemingly despised him and the expectation to become leader through his own hand. For many it would be too much of an uphill struggle to bear but as the years grew further and the boy began to grow, his strength was amplified by his own feelings... He had a duty as a noble to conduct himself as a leader and he would have to act as such if he was ever to gain the right to be called by his namesake.
This started with the death of his eldest brother. A rather abrasive young man, his actions would have most likely lead the family into ruin by his own hand if he was left to run it, such a person who blustered and acted extremely crass in the face of true nobility could not truly take over the family as he was. However as the eldest son of the family he was assuredly the biggest threat, both figuratively and literal. As an older brother is known to do he teased and bullied Akakotei relentlessly, treating the boy as he felt he should know his place, "The youngest should stay at the bottom where they started!" Such things was said quite regularly by the eldest boy as he would kick his brother down so all could see that as the eldest it was his right to make an example by his siblings that none of them were his equal. Such actions obviously did not sit well with Akakotei who was forced down to be nothing more than a punching bag for his brother's assaults. Something had to be done but at this point what could he do to the older boy who was naturally stronger than him due to his age? It wasn't a matter for mind over matter but matter hitting the brain really hard.
The last straw was with the older boy throwing Aki into a pit on the grounds of their estate, being knocked down into the darkness the boy was forced to be in the cold and dank caverns of the undercroft of the estate for more than a few days, no one had the knowledge of where he was and his older brother had not acted to tell anyone where he was or even if he was still alive. The dark environment bore more fears from the subconscious of the young man, he could not escape and the slightest sound made him flinch in fear of what could appear in the cavernous depths. As the nights and days seemingly turned back and forth Aki survived on what he could, as a demon he was a natural predator so food was usually small beasts that he would have to catch and kill. As he walked through the caverns still seeking in vain for a exit that would never come the boy only had his own thoughts coming through loud and clear in his head with his feelings of fear flowing further away to come down to one conclusion. What must have been a week later the boy was found by the servant staff underneath the ground looking disheveled and weakened from his experience, he held his head low as he was brought into the house to seek medical aid after such a harrowing experience.
As he walked into a drawing room where his siblings had decided to make their haunt for the moment Aki noted his eldest brother sitting comfortably as some sort of lord while the others tried to avoid the gaze of their youngest brother while trying to hide their own smiles at his rather pathetic situation as of late. "Well you seem upset baby brother, are you sure you didn't want to stay in that hole?" The taunt from his eldest brother took the boy over to his side, as he laughed he did not note the other boy walking towards him... With a flash the laughing ended abruptly. The boy who was sitting down no longer made a noise, in fact he could not as the blood trailed down from the side of his head as a pair of razor sharp scissors seemed to have found their way into him. His siblings looked in shock as the youngest boy picked the brain of his brother to take back his weapon. "For now I need a haircut, my appearance has been shabby of late..." taking the scissors the young man had the cutters soaked with blood sheer his hair till it came to be a similar appearance to the way that he wears it even today. With the blood seemingly soaking into his hair the Crimson demon turned to his other family members and simply smiled slyly towards them.
"Brothers! Sisters! As of now we are no longer members of the same family, in this case its a battle royale to decide who has the right to claim our family's estate... Now its down to the six of us..." Looking back at his now dead brother he would smile with an innocent grin towards the rest of his older siblings. "I look forward to killing you all soon~" With that the fight for the leadership was on...
To those who are gathered...
From then on out the battle was on, it was no longer simple disdain or hatred of each other, Akakotei's actions had lead to the new status quo and with it all eyes had to be on him. When the news of their son's demise came to ears of his parents their reaction was... Not the norm... As a declaration Akakotei's father cried out towards the children. "The last of you will be the heir! This is the only way to decide who is worthy of our family name and the glory of leadership!" The declaration had put many of the children on edge, some simply did not like each other but the threat of death made it all the more serious now, any member of the family was now a enemy in waiting and it made it so no one was safe. This put Akakotei in what must have been the best position, he had proven he did not care to kill his brothers and sisters and for the most part he was ahead in the kill count. The days of threats and looking for knives ready to stab in the darkness all came to a head with the death of his older sister. One of the more pacifistic of the children she was the 6th child and seemed to be the first sacrifice up to the gods to start the bloodbath's proceedings. As the family found her it seemed that she had struggled as she had seen the killer, but none of the children had any marks on them. The staff had been questioned under threat of death but none gave any sort of aid to the investigation of the killer's identity, it seemed that the person who had done it managed to kill her without even being touched.
The idea troubled the competitors in this little death game, even Akakotei. He had not made any effort to kill her and what's more is that he did not expect any of his family member to be so skilled as to kill without being touched. Continuing his studies while the other family members seemed to lock themselves away for fear of death Aki's father stumbled upon his son reading from the library of the family's history. Akakotei asked him what sort of person could kill without so much as being touched, his father told him of the family's secret legacy. "Our fore-bearer and your namesake was known to have a power deeply rooted into his body that those who sought to fight him could only kneel in subjugation as anything in his line of sight seemed to fall into his order..." The older man stood with a grim look on his face as he looked into the eyes of his son. "Some called it the power of the king, others titled it the eyes of the demon god.... For our family we simply gave it an appropriate name, The Emperor's Eye." The story was seemingly rather juvenile but the way that his father seemed when he talked about it almost assured its legitimacy. "The name Akakotei is given to the one who is closest to such greatness as the founder of our house, if you are not the one who has unlocked this power.... Then I suppose that perhaps you are not long for this world son...." The foreboding message left the boy with feelings of inadequacy and a hint of fear, he was assured that he would win but with such a monster prowling the manor it seemed that the possibility of him winning was slimming by the moment.
Then the penny dropped, as it did his second eldest brother was cut in half by none other than the middle child of the family... Though a quiet young man and more intellectual than anything it seemed that he had uncovered the truth of the power of their family... As he prowled towards the other children his eyes glowed with a red glare that seemed to mimic the look that Akakotei's had, as they all waited for their demise he pointed down to his surviving brother. "You're the one who made this happen Aki, so I think its only fair that I give you a one on one chance to try and take my life..." The cockiness in his voice was clear, though he was unsure the Crimson Demon looked towards his brother. "If this is the case then I will have to punish you for taking two of the competition away so early...."
The training grounds was the stage for a battle that had not occurred in the last 300 years of the family's history, one with the power of their forebearer against one whose namesake made the scene even more ironic. The initiative was taken by Akakotei but in only a few moments it seemed that the fight was a losing battle. His brother dodge effortlessly, he could see the attacks coming as if he had a finger on the pulse of time itself. No matter the move, even a feint and a fake would be avoided and ridiculed... "That is all you have little brother?! You thought that you knew it all but killing a brute is nothing like killing a prodigy like me! I am the one in a million! Nothing you can do can compare to me!" It seemed to be true as the younger teen was being beaten across the field by the other, it wasn't that he was stronger but it seemed that this new strength of his empowered him to go beyond his physical limits. Bloodied and battered Akakotei laid out on the ground showed that he did not have much else to throw at the one whose power was clearly greater. "I've lost, no matter what I do victory cannot be reached.... I've lost I've lost I've lost I've lost.... I CANNOT LOSE......."
As the older boy threw down the finishing blow he would suddenly hit nothing but the ground, as he turned to tear his hand from the rock below he would be met with a figure that seemed to act as a towering shadow looming on the ground below. "You are not deserving of such a power...." Suddenly a hand moved faster than even someone with the ocular power could react to, in that instant the middle child's vision was cut in half as he scream in pain with his eye being torn out of its socket. Now it was no longer his, it was in the possession of the younger child's hand as he quickly crushed the soft organ in his hand to block its light forever. "You claim yourself a prodigy and the one in a million, well brother in this case I would have to be the one in a billion..." His eyes had changed, it was as if the boy in front of him could do nothing but move limply towards him, even as he tried to claw at him Akakotei's eyes seemed to show him a glimpse of the next move, the muscles that moved, the amount of power used in the build up, everything was open to him as his eyes changed from their natural red, now they looked more beast like and one had become the sharp shade of yellow it was today. Such a legend about the family's power was true, though imitators to the right could arise only one could truly claim their birthright, and Aki was not one for sharing. "To all those gathered here I will show you the difference between us... This is the gap between a monkey... And a Emperor...." The combat was short lived after that with the older sibling's head place firmly on the ground, and a few meters away from his body, now only the Crimson boy was standing and now only three remained...
The Rise of the Bloody Emperor
The competiton was now down to the last three, though it seemed almost decided with the revelation that the youngest now held a power above even his elder siblings. Though this strength did improve Akakotei considerably it was difficult to maintain and even harder to master. The power to practically know how an opponent would make their next move was a considerable boon but without control it seemed that the boy would be left with a sense of control but underneath he would keep a raging flame to conquest and ravage anything that came into his path. This was the curse of the Emperor's Eye, it forced the weight of the world on those who could use it and made them destined for greatness but to have the path that was laid out for it being bathed in the blood of those who passed them by. Only about 150 when he unlocked this power Akakotei would struggle with this power to the extent that it would effect his natural energy output making it so he had to hold back almost all of his energy just to keep his body from breaking down from the pressure.
Though this issue made it so he could not make his move to finish the death game, luck seemed to be on his side as disease took the last sister he had from this world only he and his brother remained as the two to take over from their parents... The last opponent however was the one he dreaded to face the most. Kuroua, his brother... In terms of siblings the two had been the closest that such brother's could be, the two seemed to be almost inseparable in some cases Kuroua is the only one of his family Akakotei would care to remember by name as his effect on the young Demon's life was only a good one. But as he remembered the last time that the two met, it brought the Crimson haired devil to a standstill. The grand Arena, their father had it constructed for the occasion of the last battle, as the two siblings looked from one side to another, both could tell that this was the last time that one would see the other.... It hurt both of them that the heavens themselves cried out upon the clash starting.
The combat lasted longer than expected, the two seemed to share equal footing when most expected that the younger boy would take the fight with his new found eyes. But Aki was holding himself back, his apprehension came from his wish to win, but the loss of the only one of his siblings who he did not hold some ill will towards. The arena could barely hold back the water as it began to cause the ground to turn into a thick muddy mess as the two brother fought with nothing held back. However with the last lightning strike... It was done, as Kuroua had wound up to take Akakotei's head off with a strike the boy's eyes did the work for him, as he moved towards his brother the elder teen fell to the floor with no way to recover. With a strike to the heart the Demon looked as he saw the life leave his brother's eyes slowly but surely... No tears were to be had with Aki, he didn't want to make it so his last memories of Kuroua were tears of his loss... He would rather it be that he could at least remember him as he fought as brothers, neither wanting to harm the other but with the stake of their position in the balance...
The cheers from the gathered audience and the servants below echoed through the grand stage, they had seen a new legend awaken to the forefront of the deaths of some many others... This was the beginning of the Bloody Emperor. As his position as the heir of the family being secured Akakotei's next job was clear, now he would seek to put other family's in their place and be sure to gain more control for the sake of those that came after him. There had been many that saw the new heir to the family as a threat, he had taken his title from the corpses of his siblings so he was clearly not one to stray away from combat. Their fears seemed to be rather well formed as it was not for the Demon's declaration only a few days after the claiming of his supposed birthright. "To all those who look to challenge me and my family I can only offer you a ceasefire and a meeting to arrange terms..." The proclamation seemed to be quite holier than thou with such a youth making the presumption that he could order those who had controlled the families of the demon world for more than 5000 years. Though the leaders of each family had been unhappy for a child to make such a bold claim most decided to go to seek out this meeting in hopes of seeing the boy's hopes for a ceasefire between enemies fall apart.
The gathering of those in attendance seemed to be a gathering of the strong and affluent of the nobility from many areas of the Demon world. As they all stood in attendance the Crimson Devil entered the meeting hall and noted the amount of those who decided to make themselves known. As they all sat to begin the seemed farce that this 'Ceasefire' could be Akakotei only moved to make one point. "All those who are in attendance, I have only one plan to make this ceasefire succeed, and that is to eliminate the problem all together, starting with the decimation of your families and houses.... Starting with all of you...." The boy's claim was met with surprise and then sudden show of force... All of those who were in attendance seemed to disappear as the doors were reopened after the space of half an hour, now the walls were plastered with blood and organs seemed to be strewn around as some sort of disturbing decorations for the viewing pleasure of only one bystander left. The meeting head was all that was left, his eyes went into full force with the declaration of war now as he sat in a cooling pool of the nobles blood he looked towards the future of what was to come to pass... Now only on thing could occur.... Conquest.
For the sake of victory....
The declaration of war was the young Demon's idea and his alone, his parents seemed to look on the sudden outburst as a simply an act of a young and brash noble, but with his destruction of all the current heads of many noble families it seemed that Akakotei was more than just a headstrong young man, he was a marauder who was simply not accepting of his already comfortable position... Now he needed more. However his actions lead to the enemies of the family growing to the point that every side seemed to hide another shadow that could reveal a blade or killer ready to take the life of the aging couple. While their last son had the power to rule his charisma and actions lead to them acting only as figureheads as they still held breath. However still prideful as the Demons that their son had looked to make an example of the two aging parents looked to make an example of their son. He had refused to come to them as he was busy capturing the victory that they had always told him to take no matter what the cost, this position that he had put them in made it so they could only do one thing.
Another meeting was gathered, this time with the new heads and upper echelon of their new enemies, it was here that a plan was formed... To avoid any more bloodshed between families, Aki's father decided to push the idea of a surrender. As his parents as hostages there son would look to make a deal with the nobles that he had made enemies of, with that he would be humbled and finally make it as a proper heir to their family, after some... Punishment of course. The plan began with the Demon's band of warriors and monsters that seemed to grow with each victory he claimed. Some may have called his band of rogues opportunists, those who joined him seemed to have the same bloodlust as he did, and seemingly they were all being held together by the charisma and power of their leader. They had claimed victory and territory wherever they went and with this plan as the leaders of the opposition held out his parents to the sight of all those against them to see it was clear that the plan would take effect upon Akakotei seeing the two saddened older Demons looking down at him from above.
The idea was simply, surrender or his parents would be killed for his actions, looking up to the cocky nobleman who felt they could safely stay in proximity so long as they had something of value towards the Crimson Emperor as a shield seemed to turn their noses up as the sharp eyes that pierced through the world looked above, then he turned to the nearest member of his army and motioned forwards. Immediately a bolt of energy shot through those who looked down on the canyons below with their attention once again turning to the leader standing in the middle of the gathering horde that drew closer. "No one may look down on me, especially not one that cannot fight their battles by themselves..." The attack started even with the hostage situation in full swing.
The screams and surprise of those being overrun made for a symphony of pain which could not be replicated again, as they looked down the eyes of his parents seemed to ask only one question 'Why?' "For the sake of victory I would do anything, even kill those who raised me if they stand in my way..." The heartless comment was something that harbored no resentment for the betrayal Akakotei simply did not find the terms agreeable, his parents for the victory assured by him was no equivalent exchange, in their own way they had outlived their usefulness when he took on the title of heir and gained the power that made his claim even greater. Hours passed and soon only charred airships and bodies remained, looking at the devastation from the ground the Crimson Emperor looked down at two noteworthy corpses, he knew the clothing and the family colors. "We're done here, leave the bodies the beasts will take care of the rest...." Calling out to the horde he had gathered the ruler marched on, his heart could not be weighed down by sentiment for family now... His eyes could see nothing but victory and with each step their hold became heavier and heavier, it was now not a question of if he could do this... It was a question of how far would Aki go?
Someone like you...
The ever-growing horde that the Demon had grown outwards for conquest seemed to burn ahead without stopping, with no one left to subjugate him Akakotei was standing tall as he looked to make everyone in his sight fall in line with his new regime. Still many opposed him, but the course of his army would be to wide and powerful to halt with only the forces that they had left at their disposal. This was were the need for fighters without the loyalty other than payment had to be involved. Mercenaries... Such killers and warriors held no allegiance to those who called for them it was simply a matter of payment and protection. Such people ranged in skill, but the increase of forces towards the army that Aki had formed made his advance through the Demon world slower than he would have liked. It was an issue that he wished could be dealt with sooner, but the coffers of those nobleman he had slandered and later destroyed were still being used as a form of vengeance with more fools to gather against him.
Akakotei knew that with the influx of troops it would be a longer campaign to destroy the lands of the remaining nobles that would not bend the knee. Still as the battlefields grew larger and extended outwards the Demon stood in the middle of the bloodsoaked fields and looked at the carnage as the simple extension of the victory that he had already claimed so many times over. However stirrings from the battles had called out signs of a creature that stalked the fields and looked to crush and decimate Akakotei's forces. The reports never gave any details, but it was clear that someone or something was powerful enough to raise a hand towards him. In this case the position for his pride was to find whatever sought to destroy his campaign efforts, and return the favor. Another day and another battlefield would seemingly give the Crimson Emperor his chance, the battle seemed to be in the his favor, the mercenaries may have been strong but their forces did not have the leadership of a man bred for victory to force them ahead. Such things seemed trivial now... But in the distance as Akakotei finished mopping up a few stubborn remnants of the leaders of the army and some of the mercenary bands, he could feel.... Something.
He did not move quickly but instead walked to the forefront of the carnage that seemed to be transpiring ahead. As the injured troops moved out of his way the Emperor finally noted the creature that had been stalking his war efforts with the mercenaries. It could be described as a woman, but its appearance and mannerisms did not point it out as such... No this thing was similar to him, not by any means a creature... Now it was more akin to a monster than anything. Its lady like grace seemed to be contradictory to its brutal decimation of those who took to fighting it. As he walked closer and reached the epicenter of the destruction Akakotei looked towards the monstrous beauty that was being held with the death of his troops only acting to prove that they did not stand much chance other than being bystanders or onlookers for the current show. "None of you interfere... This creature is a breed above any of you.... I can tell simply by looking at her." The words seemed almost complementary towards the enemy, indeed her power proved that none of those who looked to join his ranks had any chance so it would be better for them to sit back and have him combat this menace towards his advancement.
The two beings began their clash in the middle of the field of broken blades and destroyed souls, it was clear to anyone that this intricate dance of death was a face-off that held the life of an army in one hand and the pride of a ruler in the other. Akakotei couldn't rest on his laurels in this fight, even before he had entered into combat his eyes were already gleaming with the hidden power behind them, he knew that someone like this woman would be strong enough that he would need such a weapon in his corner. However as the battle began, it was clear that even with the Emperor's eye Akakotei had met someone whose power was much beyond even their current vision. Even with he enhanced vision and amplified strength the berserker in front of him seemed to be on a whole other level, he could only keep up with her movements and actions due to his eyes giving him the slight advantage, but she was giving him more damage than anyone had in the longest time but as he managed to stand his ground the damage would continue on... As she cut into his side with her monstrous arms he felt a dreaded sense that he had not felt in a long time... "This battle.... I will lose it at this rate...."
His thoughts flooded back to the past as he learned the way his new power seemed to work, it seemed that using it made him stronger, but he would have to hold back his natural skill lest his body would not be able to keep up with him. However he felt that even with his current power he was still being held back, though he could feel augmented by his power he did not feel like he was at the peak of his physical and mental limit when he used the Emperor's eye. His thoughts then came back to that and he understood what his issue there was, he was not at 100% in this combat and that was why he was not capable of winning. Another blow to the head brought the Demon back to reality as he stood slowly only to have to dodge another blow just barely with his face being cut by the claws of the relentless foe. Breathing heavily he looked to his opponent, the two were injured and weakened be he was considerably more so, On the other hand he looked to his enemy... Her bestial nature made it so he was unsure of how he could be losing, but underneath such an exterior he could see that this woman was covered in scars and wounds.... "You're path has been lead through pain and suffering.... It only reasonable that someone like you could stand at such a height to make even me falter...." Akakotei turned to the crowd that was gathered to aid him.... suddenly the air grew cold, charged with an unnatural force as the Demon looked upon the crowd gathered by himself. "I understand what it means to achieve victory not matter what the cost, even my own parents that got in my way did not force me to act in such a manner as this for my own win..."
As he looked towards his enemy expecting a final blow he dreaded the idea of losing. but suddenly, she stopped... The woman's eyes seemed to change as well, though this made her drop in equivalence the Demon would look down to her Akakotei turned back and looked to move away from her unconscious body reasoning why he would walk away. "I do not wish to fight you now, at this point if we were to come to blows I have doubts at whether I would kill you or not, and at this point I would not wish to harm such a fascinating creature. Till we meet again I hope that you do not die before we meet."
Walking away as his gaze looked upon all the lands, the skies would darken and Akakotei was sure that his closest taste of defeat seemed to give him even more power.... He walked towards his troops who seemed to cheer in his supposed victory all of a suddenly the ground started to shake as the Demon looked below to the feet of his troops. "If such a battle cannot force me to my full potential then only one thing can..." Staring up at his crowded allies he held his hand in a fist towards them. "Comrades, now I abandon you all, for the sake of my continued victory." Upon looking into Aki's eyes it could be seen that they burned with a charge of energy that could not be withheld within the orbs, it burned outwards and as he looked to his allies suddenly bursts of magma coming from the earth below bellowed upwards and ignited the soldiers surrounding the Monster that he had just finished battling, though the damaging effect would not get close to the woman's form. Though beaten before now he was assured of his own power, looking towards the surrounding area everything seemed to crash and burn and freeze and erupt all at once, as he turned to look at back at his enemy. "I must thank you Miss Mercenary, this power couldn't have been achieved without first the fear of loss in my mind..." The world in his vision seemed to be uncontrollable with the surroundings seemingly suffering from near catastrophic weather and damage from all areas. "Now these eyes do not simply look to the future... They pave the way for it" The world seemed to give away as he walked past, for the Bloody Emperor his power now made it so his victory was assured... But the lives of his men were not.
Till my body is dry
The battlefield was the last thing that Akakotei remembered as he walked along the almost apocalyptic scene that he brought forth with his eyes. When he woke from the daze that he had been in since he declared his proclamation to his troops he now saw that the distance between where he had been and where he was could be told by the amount of devastation left in his wake. Looking around his eyes seemed to hold a heavier weight to them than ever before... He knew what it came from however, the cost of true power was his abandonment of those he trusted for the sake of his own personal victory... "The lives that I put into my hands... These eyes do not care for such bonds, only that I see victory..." The melancholy voice of his rung out through the area, the clear show of force that he had brought throughout the area was enough that he could no longer return to the area he had been, but at this point he felt that there would be nothing left for him there as he was now.
The lands that he walked through as he made his way back to his origins seemed to be filled with the bones and dusty remains of those who had come to challenge him, now he had time to look back at his deeds he could tell that this campaign he had sought to fulfill was a grand one, but the cost of life made it so he would have to think about his victories up till this one.... As Aki moved through the wastelands that he had created with his own ambition he saw the solemn faces of those he walked past, most were not filled with hate or disdain that would befit a enemy of their homes... It was not the way of the world to look on Akakotei even with his soul in stir with the natural disdain that would befit and enemy, he was a natural leader and all he seemed to exude was a sense of tiredness and pity for those who had lost their lives in the sight of his eyes. As the Demon walked to the ruins of a noble's home he noted that the colors on the flag was similar to him. "Of course... When I started this, this place would assuredly be destroyed..." Looking at the ruins it was clear where he was... He was home.
Finding the only room that seemed to be protected from the damage that seemed to wreck the rest of the manor Akakotei opened the ruined doors to the one place that he knew would hope was saved from the fires of war. The only thing that remained in this room was a large ornate throne at the long side of the room, the windows that showed the outside would give a sight of devastation and despair for all those who lived in these demon plagued lands, not due to the power of the monsters that gathered under the greater monster, not due to the constant warring states that caused the land to be rendered unusable for years to come, in this case there was one reason for this the ambition of one boy and the power that he held within his eyes to push him forward. Sitting on the throne in these ruined lands, the boy now looked out again to see the devastation and did nothing more than sigh with a tired look on his face. "This land is a tomb now, I'm nothing more than an epitaph for the dead, my eyes being this way, I can still tell how they all died...." The heaviness grew to the extent that the Demon could only hold his eyes open through sheer willpower. "Now then, I suppose I should sleep for a time... Till my heart and eyes recover..." With the last few words trailing off the man slumped in the chair falling into a slumber that seemed almost eternal with one last thought before he entered the void of sleep. "Till my body is dry, when my memory fades and even my eyes lose sight... I must seek victory, for myself, and for those behind me...." And with that it should have been over.... Though it is very rare that such creatures especially Emperor's stay in their slumber forever.
Those who seek...
Time passed as it was known to do, what must have been a century passed with the lands slowly growing healthier only slightly, the darkness and suffering from years gone by had still scarred the land with a terrible pain that looked to still plague the lands with no stopping in sight. After the 100 years passed, the doors to the forgotten ruins opened once more, this time it seemed that looters came to claim the treasures of the lost nobles whose destruction came by their own hands, to seal away the fearful past that they had wrought even their name had been forgotten... As the looters came to the door the wind that blew forth seemed to show only one prize that was left in the room, the shadowy corpse of a ruler in his prime. Walking into the abandoned great hall the three or four men looked around for anything of value not finding anything before going to see the dead body over on the throne. As they looked to the body, hoping that at least it held some sort of secret or hidden treasure they would note that the body was perfectly pristine, like he had died and the ravages of time had not come to affect him.
However as they grew closer the one older thief dropped in fear of who he saw, "T-that's the Bloody Emperor! The Crimson Devil himself!" The loud roar echoed and caused the skittish thieves to jump back. "Why should we care about a corpse's name! He's dead now so he must have something good on him!" The leader of the band turned to enforce confidence in his men, all before coming to the face of the old ruler, but something was different this time.... Now a twinge of crimson and a shot of piercing gold seemed to shoot out from the darkness. "Tales of my death have clearly been exaggerated...." The corpse stood... It was not shambling like the undead would, in fact it seemed that the body was quite stable considering the 100-year slumber but as he looked down to the fearful faces of the Demonic thieves Akakotei only had one question. "What are you doing here? Why would you disturb my slumber...."
The thieves could not speak under the fear of reprisal, it seemed that even without an army at his back the Emperor's fearful presence continued. "W-w-we heard of the great treasures that had been found in this land and had hoped for a piece of a such wealth." Even with the great monster standing above him one of the men could not lie even as he was fearful of his life ending in an instant. Akakotei looked to the ground outside, the recovery of the land was slow, but bit by bit it was seemingly starting to heal from his ill-gotten war. "Fine then, it seems that being away from the world did it some good... But I'm not done with my repentance." Looking back to the thieves as he passed them to the door, Aki looked at each of them with a look of expectance. "For those of you who seek riches, you'll find none here, there is nothing left here but ash and forgotten souls... If you want to bring prosperity to the land and yourselves... Then follow my lead." Opening the doors the Emperor would walk forwards to the entrance of the old house, the past would have to be forgotten, now it was time to begin a realm anew...
