Personality:
Shinju has always been a bashful person. She is reticent and demure, even to people she has already known for a long time. She is predisposed to be polite and mild, often trying not to offend the people around her. She is somewhat easily flustered, simple misunderstandings giving her bouts of panic, and in relation to this, she is also somewhat easily fooled. In certain aspects, one may consider her naive, even helpless.

A closer look, however, reveals that there is more to Shinju than a shifty heap of shyness. She is sensitive of others, and is very considerate; she may not be a very exciting, colorful friend, but she will be there when you need her. When not distracted, although some may say the slightest suggestive situation would distract her, Shinju is actually quite organized; she excels in chores, with the strange exception of cooking. She is hardworking, and well aware of her weaknesses and mistakes, and tries her best to correct them, though one could say she hasn't achieved anything yet. Still, when she is determined, she is really determined.

While Shinju, from the descriptions above, may seem to be the hapless, bland, goody-two-shoes type, she is actually passionate about something. That something is fortune telling, something that is quite unrelated to her duties and strengths. Shinju believes that 'all girls love fortunetelling at the genetic level'. She displays a lot more confidence with this topic in discussion; she has used it, as an icebreaker, a handful of occasions.

She precedes over her fortunetelling with a deck of playing cards, and a healthy dose of what she calls 'a maiden's inspiration'. Odd as it may seem, Shinju's predictions, while incredibly detailed, are dangerously accurate in a twisted way; the actual events turn out to be either somewhat skewed or extremely wrong. Surprisingly, Shinju doesn't mind if her fortunes don't come true; it would be good for the future not to be confined to certain possibilities. It is somewhat a contradiction to her being an enthusiastic amateur soothsayer.

Besides her own fortunetelling, she is also keenly interested in other ways of divining. She even enjoys arcade games on the concept. She has always been overshadowed by her older sisters, who she considers ultimately better than her; still, she is very grateful for the things her sisters do for her, and these two opposing feelings strike a balance in her fragile heart.

Appearance:













Shinju resembles her mother greatly. While she may have her fathers' eyes, everything else she inherited from her mother. This would include her animalistic traits. Since Shinju has a bit darker hair than her mother, her ears are a light grey. However, she can hide these unlike her mother. They can appear and disappear on command, though it is unknown to even her how. Her eyes also shift when she gets pissed. They change from the royal blue to a glowing crimson.

Natural Abilities

• Dagger Throwing: Shinju has a knack for throwing daggers, knives, and kunai. Her accuracy is almost as good as a Marine sniper.
  
• Blade Creation: Shinju's only unique ability is that she can create a massive assortment of small blades. These can range from ornate daggers to simple kunai. They do not have any sort of power, but the numbers she can create are quite high.
  
• Dance of Lights: Shinju has another ability that is not offensive. In fact, it's more of a visual trick. By creating "trails" of light that follow every one of her blades thrown, it becomes almost impossible to see where the next one is coming from. Why? Simply put, the angles she throws them at can create ricochets. This will, essentially, create a "maze" of lights. Unless they have super sight, opponents would not be able to track the blades, as they would be confused by the different "streams" of light that appear.

Guardian Beast: While her Sacred has not been given a form yet, her Guardian Beast(s) has/have been chosen. The first form is of a woman with blonde hair and eyes that are the same color. She speaks almost like a servant to a master, and will not deviate from Shinju's orders. She is called Yaiba, meaning "blade."


The other is a tall man. Well, if you can call him a man. Hell, it's humanoid...but it's nothing close to a human. He keeps a mask over his eyes in order to hide his identity. Not even Shinju has seen all of his face. He doesn't speak, and will act on his own. It takes Yaiba to hold him back. He is called Tenjiru Ite, meaning "Alter Archer."



Guardian Beast's World: Seeing as she has no form for her Sacred, her inner world is also changing. In fact, the only shape within it is a large blob of what looks like mercury.

Magic: The Sugiura's have a list of their own Magic they use as well as Shinigami Kido, you can have up to a bit of kido but not every single part of it, also mix it between the magic and Kido. They cannot be a kido master, but can be quite talented at it. however a sugiura could be a master at their magic spells of course. depending on the the type that is.

History/Roleplay Sample

Character Background:

"Kono baka ama! Don't insult my family!"

Shinju was born many years after Iori and Midori. She was the first white-haired daughter Misaiko had. In fact, if it wasn't for her having Odysseus's eyes, she'd look exactly like a younger version of Misaiko. Her appearance has given her the moniker of "Little Misaiko." She dislikes being called that. When she was a young baby, there were even thoughts of changing the order of succession. In fact, if it wasn't because Odysseus didn't approve of the idea, it would've happened.

Shinju was always protected by her two older sisters. They loved her. Shinju was actually the spoiled one of the trio. She didn't see how that was fair, but she was still spoiled. She didn't get out much, as Misaiko was overprotective of her. Shinju was taught by not only Misaiko, but Odysseus as well. Odysseus took care of Shinju better than Midori, and possibly Iori.

When Shirou came to live with Iori, Shinju could tell that there was a connection between her and Shirou. She didn't know exactly what it was that she felt, but it made her spine shiver. She constantly avoided him....sort of. She would peek around from behind corners and shoulders to look at him then run away. This has caused occasional problems with how Shirou thinks of her. She has currently started to train to get her Sacred, but it's not going too well...
