Yōkoso, Fuku-Taicho Rentai!

Hakudoshi was on his way to the Squad 13 Barracks, being assigned as Squad 13's newest Vice Captain. Personally, he was satisfied with the job offer, as he took a particular interest in historical things, as well as current things. Squad 13 often ventured to Karakura Town, or just the World of the Living in general for their missions. And, of course, while in the World of the Living, one would have the opportunity to complete their mission and spend a short amount of time for themselves. However, stay too long and history, like it always does, will inevitably repeat itself, and like the Rukia Kuchiki case, you'd have Squad 6 on your tail. Like that story goes, she was captured, interrogated, and sentenced to death on Sukokyou Hill. However, some strangely convenient events occurred that saved Rukia Kuchiki from her demise, such as 3 captains betraying Soul Society, and Ichigo Kurosaki, Hakudoshi's current Captain, destroyed the instrument that would bring about the end of Rukia Kuchiki.

All this happened over 400 years ago, and it was a story that gave Hakudoshi a truly uneasy feeling. He knew the full story, he knew it good and well. He's glad he wasn't even in the Gotei at the time, because if he was, he would of had to help with that mess. It wouldn't be something Hakudoshi would particularly like, it would be something he would have a relatively high dislike towards. He never would want to get involved with something as high end as that, especially when it involved those powerful monsters Aizen Sosuke, Tousen and Gin Ichimaru. All three of them were nothing but trouble, nothing but cold hearted monsters who deceived all of Soul Society. Now that I think about it Hakudoshi thought, stopping in his tracks on his way to the 13th Division Barracks, What ever became of those three? I never heard that part of the tale... Maybe i'll speak with Captain Kurosaki, seeing as he played a major battle in that war. Hakudoshi thought, continuing his walk towards the 13th Division Barracks.

Snow... Hakudoshi said outloud as he saw a single flake fall from the frozen sky. Soon after, many more flakes slowly floated down towards the ground, and began to cover the ground in it's glorious white coat. What's strange is that it wasn't even that cold outside, or maybe it was, just Hakudoshi didn't realize it just yet. Or maybe it was because of his attire... he certainly wore some odd clothes, and mixed with his long silver hair and face markings, he was a... rather noticible person when walking in public, but at the time, there was nobody outside. Possibly that's because he was very near the Squad 13 Barracks, and the shinigami there were preparing some sort of welcome party for their Vice Captain. It would be a kind gesture, but nothing overwhelming. Hakudoshi signed as he continued to walk, his luggage in one hand, and his other hand on the back of his neck. As he walked, he looked up into the sky, only to see that the clouds were less than scarce; there were none at all.

Strange... Hakudoshi said, knowing that snow was a form of precipitation, and for precipitation to occur, there would at least need to be clouds in the sky. Possibly it's Captain Hitsugaya... His shikai is known to cause it to snow... Hakudoshi thought, finally realizing that as the best suited answer, seeing as it wasn't cold, and there were no clouds. With that little side-mystery solved, Hakudoshi upped his pace a tad, as he saw the Barracks within his sight now. He was about a five minute walk from arriving, give or take a few minutes. He couldn't wait until he got there, it had been a long time since he had a formal title such as "Vice Captain". He would also have the second-most authority in the entire squad, second only to the Captain: Ichigo Kurosaki. Hakudoshi knew enough about Kurosaki to know that it wouldn't be smart to upset him, his temper is rather short. Ichigo is also a very powerful man, one that Hakudoshi wouldn't want to provoke, as Hakudoshi knew Ichigo had a knack for disregarding the rules.

Stories are often told about Ichigo Kurosaki of his days as a Substitute Shinigami, and he would frequently disobey General Yamamoto's direct orders. Was he ever punished? - of course he wasn't. He had always received special treatment - he had unlocked his bankai after a mere 3 days of training. Hakudoshi is exponentially older than Ichigo Kurosaki, yet he and Kaneyoru have yet to come to a formal agreement of allowing Hakudoshi to use his Bankai. It was rather sad, but Kaneyoru was hesitant to allow his full power to be handed down to a man who is in an army. While Kaneyoru does trust Hakudoshi tremendously, he doesn't want his full power mistreated; he wants his power to be used properly and without abuse, and he is not yet convinced that Hakudoshi will use his full power properly, but Hakudoshi knows Kaneyoru is close to giving in. He can feel it.

Ahh... at last. Hakudoshi said, passing the large gated entrance to Squad 13's barracks. With a content smile, he used a small flash step, appearing at the entrance to the Barracks, sliding the door open. On both sides of him were two rows of 6 shinigami, and the instant they realized it was him, they [all together] shouted, WELCOME VICE CAPTAIN RENTAI! aside from two shinigami who said it either slightly before or slightly after, messing the entire thing up. Hakudoshi repaid the favor with a warm smile to both rows, and a bow. Thank you, it is much appreciated. Hakudoshi said, looking directly in front of him, to see his Captain, Kurosaki Ichigo. He dropped his smile and bowed to his Captain, which is a formal show of respect. Good afternoon, Captain Kurpsaki. Pleasure to finally meet you. I've heard much about you. Hakudoshi said, rising from his bow, awaiting Ichigo's reply.
