HUMAN
Name: Zane Akechi
Age: Impossibly old; Looks twenty-six.
Appearance:Zane has long, flowing emerald green hair. He's also got beautiful hazel eyes, and flawless skin. He's about six foot four, and absolutely hates it. He's got strong cheek bones and a sharp jaw, with a very soft chin. His skin has no wrinkles and he has no scars from the neck up. His ears are slim to his skull and not of any abnormal size or shape. His nose and lips are masculine but not excessively so. He doesn't always shave. He's in incredible shape, and holds himself in a very outgoing, confident way.
He dresses in a very mundane way, erring towards usual and even plain clothing. He is usually seen wearing a graphic tee under a button-fronted and collared shirt, with blue jeans. His tees are generally for bands or establishments, occasionally being things that just looked cool or do not exist. His over-shirts range in color and pattern to the point where the variety is astonishing. He accessorizes with light work boots and large belt buckles, occasionally a few loose bracelets or necklaces, and often a pair of sunglasses. This ensemble is topped with a fedora, for good measure.
Background:Zane Akechi was born in the year 1987, in the middle of nowhere Arkansas. After three or four years, he moved to Japan with his family, made friends, that sort of normal thing. After a while, normal stopped being the average, and started to become exceptional. As exceptional took hold, his parents disappeared. That was the year 2003. He was sixteen, and orphaned.
So, he went on a journey, far and wide. He looked for a place to be, since his life had never been normal. He stayed with people he'd never met, helped them do things. He grew into a man quickly. Once he found himself far from where he'd started, he'd turn a different direction and make another trip. Things, once again, became unnormal after about three years of this.
At the age of nineteen, clad in a dusty brown outfit, Zane marched through the deserts of Egypt, still lost in the world. He hoped perhaps a spiritual journey would show him the way. Eventually, something found him. It claimed itself to be the god Djehuty, head of an ibis and body of a man. It claimed that Zane's life would never find meaning within this world, within this frame of time. It told him that becoming his avatar would give Zane a path, if Zane became the one claiming to be Djehuty's avatar.
So Zane, pretty bewildered by the whole thing, just agreed. He spent several centuries trapped as a fixed point in space and time, traveling through time-space to fix things to make sure history played out correctly. Large portions of this was military conflict, eventually hardening his body to perfection and giving him a wide variety of combat styles to utilize. After centuries of this, he really was starting to get sick of it all, and settled down in one manifold, traveling within that specific temporal manifold with a young lady. He took her on fabulous adventures for a while.
Djehuty was not entirely pleased by this, of course, and so he eventually erased her from time and space. In retaliation, Zane drew on his power as an avatar of a God of Time to turn the minor god into a Paradox Machine. This allowed Zane to keep memories of events while erasing Djehuty as an interferer. The resulting disturbance caused him to enter a lifestyle of panmanifoldal wandering, between different versions of reality.
Along the way, he picked up an Extrasensory ability, the Chromatica Engine. He obtained this ability while fighting a man with similar green hair, wearing a nice bowler cap. He is not sure what part of this fight caused this ability to generate. Thankfully, this ability has seemed to work in every world he entered with any sort of "powers".
Eventually, he stumbled into the Bleach: Platinum Hearts world by almost-inevitable chance.
Personality:Zane Akechi fancies himself a hero of justice. He is a collected sort of guy, though, and he is very caring about girls and children, and feminine guys. He tends to leave more masculine men to fend for themselves, though. Especially the ones he deems rivals. Zane always enjoys a good fight, especially with strong opponents. He can't get into it if his opponent isn't on par with him. It just ends up making him laugh, which tends to end fights faster.
This all, of course, is when he's not avoiding raping canon. The latter is of course a great concern of his, because the last thing he wants to do is become a black hole sue. He finds it relieving when he finds a world where he has to start from scratch with earning his powers back. He's still a great guy, who fights for justice. Of course, his justice like all other "justice" is skewed. He mostly fights for one morality that he deems least cumulatively harmful. And yes, he does in fact have medium awareness, and will for the duration pretend he has a fourth wall to avoid sounding like a lunatic.
Likes: Traveling, simple clothing, affable villains.
Dislikes: Getting attached to people, having his sarcasm taken seriously, people who don't know what a parody sue is or why they're awesome to have around.
Fear: Zane fears morons who'd chose to reject him because they can't read properly.
Equipment:Powers:Spiritual Awareness: No, there's not any real particular reason for it.
Martial Arts Master: What with being ancient with no particular hobbies except fighting, he's gotten incredibly good at it, knows over a dozen fighting styles to the point of mastery, and most of them are ingrained in his muscle memory, leaving him capable of fighting like a master even in the event of amnesia.
Chromatica Engine: Using solid constructs of various colors, Zane can conjure sharp objects. Ability itself is only tangentially related to his spiritual pressure, instead using his control over said only to determine how sharp and/or durable the shapes are. Think Green Lantern Power Ring without the color-specific features or power ring or secondary superpowers like superhuman strength and such.
Immense spiritual pressure: Not that he knows how to control it, or anything. Kind of all going to waste, here.
Peak human physical condition: Kind of self-explanatory.
And his hair is indestructible. Not that that will save him from much.(You CANNOT fill the skill levels in until your tier is assigned. )
Skill level: Hand to Hand: Beginner/Adept/Advanced/Master
Skill level: Speed: Beginner/Adept/Advanced/Master
Skill level: Powers: Beginner/Adept/Advanced/Master
Strengths: Incredible hand-to-hand combatant; impossible amounts of experience, both from a tactical stand-point and in one-on-one combat.
Weakness: Still human, no Spiritual Pressure control.
RP Sample:Insomuch as one can predict the future, which Zane most certainly cannot, Zane was pretty sure this was going to be an interesting day. Or week. Or month. He could feel the weight of his body again, and that always meant being demoted to normal. He jumped, and only rose two feet off the ground. He kicked out, and could actually see his own strike. He didn't even cause a massive gust of wind. A world he'd actually have to work in.
"Cool." He decreed, before looking around a bit.
He wandered out of the alleyway, before being bumped into by a fairly humanoid black figure with an ashy complexion and a large black mask over it's face. He blinked at it. It made a face that suggested it blinked back, before moving to punch him. He had no chance to react, but someone else did. The man in the black kimono probably saved Zane quite a bit of pain, if not outright death. Zane thanked his lucky stars, before turning away and walking off aimlessly, the man in the kimono and the Vasto Lorde both quite incredibly startled that this plain-looking guy could see them.
Of course, they'd also be surprised that Zane was neither startled nor entirely surprised to see fighting. It was a fact of life, he figured, that fighting would happen in his vicinity, it was just a matter of finding the right person to obtain the greatest grasp on the situation, and to generally figure out who's side, if any, he should fight for. Obviously, wandering aimlessly would be a pretty terrible way to do that, so he turned back to the two, and walked toward them, one hand raised as if to ask them a question. He didn't even stop to wonder why nobody else on the street seemed to see them, but he did notice. This might be the best week he'll have in a long time after all...
"Hey, you two, I have some questions."
