Ascenia Lang De’Xin [APPROVED; 3-1]

Towering above most of her Chinese country women, standing at 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 126 pounds, she is a sight to behold.

With hair, as grey as the finest ash, but shining brighter than any diamond, her locks flow like an ocean of living silver. Whilst her eyes, though they are colder than the northern most glaciers, are greener than the largest fields before the spring harvest, with depths that are far more fathomless than the seas.

Like a strange doll, she dons the fiercest and yet darkest of attires. The clothes she adorns are strange. She wears clothes pertain to STEAM PUNK. She dons a gas mask, with separate goggles. A trench coat, a corset that must be strapped and latched, leather sleeves that strap and latch to the corset, and strap and latch pants. All the latches are controlled by a form of “reiatsu steam” that she creates when she pressurizes her reishi. The goggles have shutters like a camera. These allow her to zoom in and out on the subjects she is studying/ torturing. Also, she wears more than just steam punk clothing. Her other attire is leather and cloth fused style dresses that are from half knee length Victorian, to Chinese battle dresses. She will change out for the appropriate situation. But she prefers her steam punk suit getup the most.

To say she has a love for steam punk is folly. No. it is an obsession. Which is why, she has devised a watch that runs off of “reiatsu steam”. Her skin tone is a creamy brown. On her left arm, is a script tattoo in Chinese, which reads "all are one, one is all? Fight for victory, until you fall." on her right arm, are the names of her husband, her mother, her father, her sister, and, the name of her baby girl. In that order, they are; John, Jyun, Tishino, Meiko, and Tiānzhēn.

On the back of her neck is a tattoo that in Chinese, reads “forsaken". On the back of her right shoulder, is a tattoo of a bloodied wilting lotus, bearing her daughter's full name, Tiānzhēn Ascenia Lang De’Xin, with her first name being on one of the stem's leaves, and the second being on another. In the dead center point between the clavicles, (plural of clavicle) is the Taoist ying and yang sign, being held by two wolves. She is very feminine, looking like a very beautiful model, but still dark and foreboding.

Her form is unrivaled. Possessing a kind of fierce beauty, that strikes fear into the ones who see her, yet this beauty is admired by all. She exudes an air of command, which catches the attention of those around her. This very strong feeling, draws them to her, and makes them feel compelled to follow her orders. Her body is perfectly fit, showing that she takes very good care of herself. She is fit, but not in the way that is grotesque. As for the subject of her breasts, which i feel certain parties will want info on, they are size b, around the smaller size b cup, (if there is such a thing.) but, they are voluptuous and silky smooth, like the rest of her body.
They have no tattoos on them, and are very......"ahem" squeezable. She has in place of regular finger and toe nails, sharp black claws, and she has canines as well. she has Wolf ears, Eyes, and a white wolf tail.

- Personality: (Apathy) Her heart is colder than any stone that can be found in the farthest northern reaches. She feels nothing while in battle. Showing no emotions, and hiding all expressions.

(Hyper brain activity) Having being home schooled and tutored by her parents, and having a thirst for knowledge that cannot be sated, she has surpassed the average human. She thinks faster than most synapses with an average human mind can fire. This makes her deadly on the battlefield, for she is always calculating. Always running the environment and the variables within it through her mind. Always preparing a plan.

(Super data memorization and recollection) Knowledge is, to her the greatest power there is. And so, she has dedicated herself to knowledge. Thanks to the teachings form her mother, she could speak 45 languages by the time she was a child. And after her parent’s demise, her mind turned to the many scrolls and books left behind by them, learning all their secrets. As she traveled, she filled her mind even more with all the lore of her people, the hollows, and the shinigami she could.

(Hyper attachment)Having felt abandoned by her parents after their deaths, she has learned, to cling to her allies and friends. Even if they are not quincies. Any ally, is better when the odds are stacked against her, than no ally at all.

(Spiritual piety, Determination of will )Her head, as it were, and her soul, are as hard as any diamond. She will not falter. No matter the torture. No matter the trial. Her will, cannot be quenched. Pushing herself past her limits, she will win. Or she will die. And the iron hard wall of her resolve will not allow, for any other instance to happen.

Now, for some negative stuff, that wouldn't fit into the lists above. She is really, really, obsessive about her things. If anyone ever touches her watch, they will most likely get a very severe beating. Also, heavens help anyone who dares to try and touch, take, smell, or even look at her food while she is eating. She is very wolf like in that respect, and she will actually bite someone. Another thing, the group she runs with, is organized like a wolf pack, only more civilized in some respects. She is the alpha female. The head honcho. The boss. Her word is final. She is open to suggestions. But if they are stupid suggestions, she will let you know. If anyone breaks the chain of command, it had better be for a very good reason. Otherwise, she will dominate them, and make them perform the most degrading and low ranked duties possible. This creates dissension within the Ranks of the LClan.

Also, Ascenia has loads of cash, mostly because she has been commissioned by the Chinese government, because of her degrees and intelligence, to do research for them into...peculiar fields of interest, which no other government would consider. Mainly the study of the spiritual world, and how it works, though she dislikes the work it is work. And the large sums of money she is paid helps fund the organization, along with the life insurance policies of her mother and father. Her husband's life insurance policy though, is untouched.

Another side note is that she will do anything for her adopted daughter Riri.

- Background: Her father was from Japan, while her mother was a Chinese national .Upon becoming pregnant, her parents decided that Ascenia would be very well educated. They drilled into her, from the first day she could speak, they had her tutoured and taught. she was taught many different languages, including Japanese, mandarin Chinese, traditional Chinese, Cantonese, Arabic, Swahili, French, Spanish, Latin, German, English, and Hindi. As Ascenia got older, both of her parents taught her the way of the Quincy (because both of them were quincies. her father had fled form japan. her mother was a chinese quincy). Her mother's weapon was an armlet crossbow, whilst her father used the traditional Japanese bow. Before they would allow her to use her powers, they taught her true archery, forcing Ascenia to learn to use wooden bows and arrows. Ascenia was also forced to learn tai chi chuan and mantis and tiger style kung fu.

By the time Ascenia had turned 12, she was one of the best, and highest educated children in the country. Her test scores were perfect. A straight a student. She was a star athlete. She was taking college courses. And passing them with flying colors. Also at this time, her little sister, Meiko was born. At first, Ascenia didn’t like the little creature she referred to as "the crying stink bomb from hell". However, she grew to love her little sister, and in fact, became her greatest teacher when she was old enough to be taught.

By the time Ascenia turned 21, she had graduated college, and had moved to America. She was a very accomplished computer and networking security technician. going back to college for a degree in Nano science, and another in quantum physics and a third master's degree for teaching.(she already had 3 PhDs in medical fields, a master's in psychology, a master's in security of information and technology, and a bachelors in biochemical sciences.)

Ascenia was happy and content with her life of being a professional student. She was also proud, because she now had her full Quincy powers. But not everything was perfect. Ascenia found herself alone most of the time, because she had been tagged as the super geek. The one girl, who was un-dateable. That was, until she met a man named Antonio. Yes, Antonio. The man of her dreams. His skin was the perfect shade of tan, and his hair was like ebony, with curling locks that sat perfect on the edges of his hair. He was dark, mysterious, and, he was foreign. He was an exchange student from Cuba. She admired him for his physical beauty, and also for his accent.

This made most girls weak in the knees when he spoke a single word. He was the heartthrob of the college. And every girl that wasn’t lesbian wanted him. Especially Ascenia. And by some twist of fate, she got him. But, little did she know, he would be her downfall. She and Antonio became really close. Really fast. She tutored him in class, and he taught her how to fix cars, and to repair other machines, along with how to ride motorcycles, and how to count cards. In her mind, he was perfect. however, Antonio, was like a coyote; always hungry for something more.so, one day, when Ascenia returned to the apartment she and Antonio had been renting one day, she found him, sleeping with some blonde form the nursing program. She was outraged. Antonio tried to give her the bull that it wasn’t what it looked like, but Ascenia knew better.

She was a walking lie detector, and knew that every word he spoke was a lie. So, she kicked him out. But before that, she grabbed the blonde who had stolen her man, and threw her out the door, bare naked. Then, she gave Antonio the same treatment. And locked the door behind her, ejecting him from her life. Months later, she was still in despair. In her mind, it was her fault that Antonio had cheated on her, even though she knew it wasn't true. It destroyed her. She dropped out of college, being too mentally and emotionally distraught that her first love had betrayed her. This was when she started a cycle of self-destruction.

She began to drink heavily. And she dated men whose names she didn’t even know. Nothing seemed to dull the pain. Nothing. Until she came across another man. Her heart this time wouldn’t be broken by betrayal, but by loss. The loss of a man she loved, named John. John, who was a student at the Christian college in the same place as the college she had been going to, met her in a bar. He had seen her slamming back shot after shot of sake and whiskey, stepped over to her. The conversation, if it could have been called that, consisted of him trying to convince her to stop drinking, while she refused.

Finally, Ascenia had grown tired of him, and walked out. She was about to get into her car, when John stopped her, and offered her a ride home. She drove off. That was when she had a head on collision with another vehicle. As a Quincy, she was tougher than your average human. But she still ended up in the I.C.U of the hospital. John was there when she woke. He told her about the crash, and about how the person was fine, that she had taken the most damage. Ascenia was touched by the kindness of this stranger, who had apparently sat beside her through the night while she lay in the I.C.U.

She and John became good friends. And eventually became lovers. In fact, on her 23rd birthday, after being with her for 2 years, John proposed to Ascenia, and they were happily married. A few weeks later, they found out Ascenia was pregnant. They were so happy. Ascenia was truly happy. She had found a man who loved her, who married her, and who was the father of her first child. They moved back to china, because he had been an orphan, and so that her parents could spend their golden years with their new granddaughter. Life never seemed so perfect. Ascenia was reunited with her family, she was about to start her own, and her little sister had become an obstetrician, and was going to be the doctor who was going to deliver her baby. It seemed though, the happiness wouldn't last.

A war sprang up between Russia and Mongolia. Mongolian and Russian air craft were dog fighting over the Mongolia china border, because the Russians had launched a deep strike on Mongolia. One of the Russian planes launched a missile that missed its target, and blew up a small school off the border. All the children and teachers died. The Chinese government was outraged. And declared war on Russia. Ascenia’s husband was conscripted, and shipped off to fight in the war. It was the 3rd month of the pregnancy when she found out he had been killed in action. Ascenia was heartbroken. She had lost the one man in her life who had loved her. She was distraught. Being depressed, she went to her parents, whom took her back in. little did she know, this would be the last night she would spend with any of her family. Her sister had rushed to their parent’s house to check on Ascenia and the baby. And had agreed to stay there that night, to keep Ascenia Company, and to make sure she and the baby were fine.

Later that night, Ascenia got up to look outside the window. To try and find peace within the cosmos that were alight with the moon and stars. Her sorrow, and despair though, had drawn another creature entirely, a pair of hollows had picked up on the despair and emotional agony of Ascenia. One was a hollow named Verzerte Schatz. The two hollows entered the house. This was when Ascenia heard the screams of her sister, before she was eaten by the other hollow. Ascenia rushed back inside, to see what the commotion was, when the same hollow that had eaten her sister, attacked her. Its strikes missed, and she was able to escape outside. Verzerte, who was still inside, fought her parents, eventually overpowering the two aged quinces, and eating them. But not before she herself was injured, taking several hits all over her body, she retreated to Hueco Mundo. While the other hollow continued to attack Ascenia. She was reluctant to use her powers, because she didn’t know that would happen to the baby. But, she had to protect herself and them. So eventually, she had to use her powers. Releasing them at full force, she killed the other hollow outright. But after wards, she passed out in the yard, drained of energy.

When she awoke in the hospital, she asked the doctor if her baby was fine. The news she received broke her heart, and shattered mind. The baby had been lost. When she had used her powers, it had taxed her reiatsu and her body so much that it drew upon the baby, thus killing them. Ascenia miscarried, and was released from the hospital after a few days. Now, she was broken. For an entire 2 months, Ascenia was destroyed. Her husband wasn’t coming home. Even though he had been buried in the grave yard next to her parent's and sister's headstones after his body had been released and sent back now that the war was over. The Chinese declaration of war and support was enough to cause Russia to surrender. They had to pay a sum of $9,000,000 a piece to the families of those killed in the accident of the missile and the school, and other things to Mongolia. But Ascenia was all alone now. Completely and utterly alone. She felt despair, for the longest time. Until, her despair turned to hatred.

In her hatred, AScenia Submitted herself to an experimental program designed to make bigger better faster stronger quincies. As a result, Ascenia was mutated,and received Wolf ears, eyes, and Nasal facilities. After this she was trained in a paramilitary group called "The Sisterhood", a group devoted to creating the perfect female super quincy soldier. ascenia applied her hatred in this training, and became a shining star of the group. However, whens he found out about their genome experimentations, she abandoned the group and founded her own group, using her family name.

- Human Skills: She has the sensory abilities of a wolf. Enhanced hearing, Night vision in full color, enhanced sense of smell. Her reflexes are more refined and she has more spatial awareness. She is also slightly more phisically durable, as her body's muscles were strengthened through the experimentation, and her skin became tougher to penetrate and cut.

She is a master of hand to hand combat, having mastered Tai chi Chuan, Tiger, Mantis, and cobra martial art styles, Baguazhang,Bājíquán, Gōjū-ryū martial arts, and judo and akido. This has given Ascenia a large amount of flexibility and combat expertise in close range combat. Also, it has given her more overall physical flexibility and allows her to contort her body in some ways that others could not. Her great knowledge of the body and how it operates in battle in hand to hand combat, has given her insight in quick ways to disarm adn immobilize her foes,a nd take control of a melee situation.

Her military experience has made her very good with firearms, and she has extensive training in the usage of bladed one handed and hand a half weapons, thanks to her love of historical combat. This basically means, that in ranged combat, her skills a bit more finessed and sharper, and her specialty was mid to long ranged combat. As far as armed close combat goes, her skill with bladed weapons allows her to better defend herself up close, against sword and blade wielding opponents. she is able to shift styles and weapons smoothly.

Thanks to her multitudes of medical and scientific degrees, Ascenia is very knowledgeable in the treatment of mental and physical ailments, and is very well suited to play a medical role. her specialization in biochemical and bio mechanical sciences and engineering has allowed her to create and understand advanced devices, and compounds, for medicinal and combat uses.

Thanks to the "alterations" made to her through he experiments, Ascenia hasa sharper edge against other quincy. When in combat against other Quincy, she gains a distinct advantage over them. Her body absorbs reishi at a higher rate when in presence of other quincies, to deplete them of reishi, and her body generates a frequency pulse of reishi that disrupts the gathering of reishi for others. This massive influx of reishi increases the effectiveness of her reishi fueled abilities and powers, and even allows her to drive her body farther.

Thanks to the Enhanced amount of reishi and the animal enhancements, Ascenia has a sort of increased and heightened form of area of effect detection, that allows her to "feel" other beings and energy sources that get within 25 meters of her. She also has enhanced healing, where she recovers faster from wounds. this is kind of similar to HSR, only she cannot regenerate a limb...without some form of enhancing substance or device that is specifically made for biochemical and mechanical enhancement of cellurlar development. at the most, this helps her recover from near fatal to flesh wounds. if she can absorb enough reishi, the wounds heal quicker, but she must be able to gather enough.

Her high level of intelligence and almost infallible levels of mental analysis and usage of stratagems in battle allow for her to use her wits and brainpower to try and control the battlefield. She is an expert at gathering and distributing information, and uses her intelligence military training to better her chances of winning battle on and off the battle field, as in political and social situation)

She can consume raw meat with no ill effects. and due to an increased metabolism and body temperature she is less susceptible to cold and ice, and is more resistant to freezing effects.

Hollow Bait: This item is a small, coin-shaped disk that attracts Hollows when crushed. When used by Uryū, the bait, in combination with Ichigo's powerful spiritual pressure, was able to draw a Gillian-class Menos out of Hueco Mundo.

Quincy Bangle (装身具, sōshingu; lit. "Accessory"): The Quincy Bangle is an artifact designed to mimic a Quincy's natural powers. It works by drawing in reishi from the environment, much like a Quincy does regularly. It can only be used properly by those who are already adept at forming and directing reishi.

Seele Schneider (魂を切り裂くもの (ゼーレシュナイダー), Zēreshunaidā; German for "Soul Cutter", Japanese for "That Which Slits the Soul"): The Seele Schneider is a thin sword that can be fired similarly to an arrow. It's much longer than a standard arrow and functions something like a chainsaw: the reishi of its blade vibrate at ultra-high frequencies, loosening the molecular bonds between any spirit matter it cuts so that the Quincy user may easily absorb the freed reishi.

- Quincy Cross: The name of her Mekkakyu is Wahrheit Des Todes, and is in the shape of a wolf skull worn around her wrist on black silk chains. The skull of the wolf holds a special significance. For, it represents her family name, Lang De’Xin. For, in English, it means wolf heart, or wolf hearted. It is a symbol born from her despair of the loss of her entire family. The skull, has engraved upon it, the names of her parents, her sister, her husband, and her daughter, all in traditional Chinese. The skull itself is bleached white, with the names of her family, being somehow engraved in blood red, being a part of the skull itself. Though it is unnecessary, her Mekkakyu has a phrase she says before releasing it, the phrase being "show them the despair in my heart."

- Sanrei Glove: Her sanrei glove is on the hand opposite her quincy weapon, and looks like a medieval bracer.

Hirenkyaku: An advanced Quincy moving technique. It allows for high speed movements by riding on the flow of reishi created below the user's feet. To perform the technique, the user gathers spiritual particles under their feet and rides them to the desired location. Like the air-walking skill displayed by most Arrancar and Shinigami, it can also be used to hover or fly for long distances.

Blut Vene (静血装 (ブルート・ヴェーネ), burūto vēne; German for "Blood Vein", Japanese for "Stilled Blood Guise") The defensive form of Blut that grants the user inhuman durability, represented by a faint pattern tracing the veins beneath the surface of their skin, which is only visible on the afflicted area when struck. If consciously kept at full power, even attacks delivered by a Shinigami's Bankai can potentially be negated completely. However, despite the considerable defense afforded by this technique, it seemingly isn't absolute and can be torn using sufficient power. As overtime the defense shall be worn down due to the nature of Blut Vene. This massive defense also has time limits, depending on the level of skill with this, it can vary to short periods of time, to lengthy amount, but they need periods of rest which can be risky if they are fighting a foe that can attack rapidly.

Blut Arterie (動血装 (ブルート・アルテリエ), burūto aruterie; German for "Blood Artery", Japanese for "Moving Blood Guise") The offensive form of Blut that grants the user inhuman attack power. This technique is the only thing capable of ensuring that a Quincy's attacks are able to significantly damage a Bankai-wielding Shinigami. One notable use of this is applying it towards physical attacks as well as coating it on there own arrows to increase the damage output to that of a Bankai wielding captain. This is a vary powerful skill that shouldn't be taken lightly .

Granate (lit. Grenade in German): A technique where the reiatsu stored in the Gintō is used to cause a large blast; much like a grenade. To activate it, one must add a drop of their own reiatsu to the Gintō, as well as say the command "Feel the blast with your soul, Granate." To explode, the Gintō must be tossed at the opponent, and will explode when it is close enough to a source of reiatsu or when it comes into contact with any surface.

Einweben (lit. Webbing in German): As suggested by its name, Einweben is a binding Gintō technique. It creates a large, man-sized energy web that is useful for either trapping or deterring an opponent. It is activated by the command "The silver strands bind you to your place, Einweben." This technique can either be used up close or by throwing the Gintō at the opponent.

Licht Regen: First more Reishi than usual are stored inside the bow, before the Quincy uses Hirenkyaku to get over the enemy, and release a barrage of arrows at once. The number of Arrows depends on the kind of bow used.
Name: Minuet of war

Description: By gathering reishi, can fire out bullets or small knives at any given point on her body or from a weapon. Used in a variety of ways, they will fire out via single, burst, shotgun, or whatever she wants. these can explode on command once they pierce the target.By placing an extra burst in the bullets or knives, they will burst outwards; sending shrapnel in every direction.



Name: The Hidden Art: Lang de fènnù
Description: Ascenia gathers up reishi and redistributes it into a myriad of different styles of shields that she can wield. These shields are seeming weightless to her but yet as heavy as the real thing to others. These shields are sustained until either destroyed, released from existence, or until Ascenia runs out of energy or she simply just cannot keep the shields together because of exhaustion.

Name: Wángfēi zhēn (Faye Needle)

Description:this fires lance like needles or groups of normal needles. With this ability, Ascenia harneses the ideal of pestilence and disease. The needles are seele schnieder like in useage, and absorb the spiritual energy, the needles absorb the energy and constantly grow in in power. The needles releasea plague like energy into the body. The boils are quick forming, and remain after a rei burst, for the boils are physical. For every post boils remain, the boils spread. A portion of the power the needles absorb is re pulsed back into the target’s body, which can cause the boils to burst.
