ZIAMICHI
***REMEMBER, ZIAMICHI'S CAN BE FROM ALMOST ANY RACE EXPECT VIZARDS, HOLLOWSOR ARRANCARS***
Name: Prima Shiroi
Gender: female
Age: 18, appears 15
The Host Race: Human
Personality: Prima is a rather odd one, as can be seen by her clothing. She is not bad, however, just a little out of it. She can normally be seen doing odd things. Most people think she has ADHD, but a less common mental disability is more appropriate, Formal Thought Disorder. This disorder is characterized by speech impediments such as blocking, the interruption of a train of speech before it is finished; derailment, when ideas slip off a topic’s track onto another which may be related or not; distractable speech, when during speech the subject is changed according to a stimulus; flight of ideas, a sequence of loose associations where the speaker goes quickly from one idea to a seemingly unrelated one; illogicality, when conclusions are reached that do not follow logic; and loss of goal, a failure to show a train of thought to a natural conclusion, among other verbal quirks. These seem to have no meaning to anyone other than Prima and Cheshire. Though seeming to be thoroughly insane due to this, she has a certain endearing quality, perhaps because she is a relaxing break from sanity, perhaps it’s her energy, but you’re sure to find Prima in a good position with most people.
Of course, no one really understands Prima’s ramblings, but that doesn’t really matter when it comes to combat. Be assured, this is not the cutie to try and break. She has what some may call a hairpin trigger, but others call it just plain crazy. Whatever it is, when things get bad in CloudCuckoo Land, you can bet shit will go down. This is normally signaled by an evil smirk, which tells you to be afraid, be very afraid. Part of this is the energy Prima puts into everything, another part is that she is a master of improbable weapon improvisation, having no signature weapon, but really, you just shouldn’t underestimate the nice ones. Though, to be fair, Prima doesn’t go off the deep end that often. Her weapons of choice are a deck of metal playing cards(that are incredibly sharp, by the way) and a rather large pocket watch that can be thrown as a ranged bludgeoning item.
Appearance:
Prima is a young-looking girl with fair skin. Her hair is dark auburn in color and her eyes are a bright brilliant green. Normally she dresses in odd pink and purple striped clothing with a matching cat hat and fake stuffed tail. She has many card motifs as well as a few chess ones on her body. She doesn’t appear very strong, but this is deceiving.
Background/History: Prima was born on Earth, like most humans, to completely normal human parents. This wasn’t that long ago, so of course they had strong spiritual energy and could see Shinigami and hollows. At first their child seemed perfectly normal, hitting all the developmental milestones right on time. That is, until she started talking. No one could make any sense of Prima’s ramblings, and her parents feared that she may have been mentally challenged in some way. However, when she started school Prima’s grades were average, her teachers giving comments such as “does not pay attention” or “always has her head in the clouds.” Still, she seemed to get along fine, so her parents stopped worrying.
When Prima’s class learned to read, she thoroughly enjoyed it. She soon became a fan of classical fiction, becoming known to carry a book with her wherever she went. Her parents didn’t like her reading fiction, however. They thought she was spacey enough as it was, she didn’t need to delve into fantasy as well. Of course, this was met with rebellion by Prima, who would read books late into the night under the covers or disguised as textbooks. This fantasy somehow permeated her ramblings, though none more so than the Brother’s Grimm fairy tales.
In middle school people started judging everyone else just a little more. Of course, this meant that Prima was more often shunned by her peers, even if she didn’t really realize it. Eventually, however, she found her own small group of friends. They still didn’t understand her, but they were willing to put up with her oddness. It was also around this time, however, that Prima met Cheshire. It was one day when she was walking home from school in the fall. There was no breeze, and yet the leaves on a single branch of a single tree were rustling and falling off as though there were. Prima of course watched the odd branch, not really thinking anything about it but intrigued none the less. Then, out of nowhere, appeared a wide smile with much too many teeth. Then the blank eyes appeared and an oddly colored tabby face around that. Prima’s face cracked into an instant smile and she greeted the slowly appearing cat as though she’d known him in Wonderland.
Cheshire followed Prima home after such a greeting. The girl offered the Cat a fish and a bowl of cream, which he refused. So, the only logical explanation was that he would prefer tea and crumpets, which she promptly found and prepared. After filling his belly, the cat looked up at Prima and smiled his Cheshire smile again. Not surprisingly, he then proceeded to speak. Cheshire told Prima about his lonely existence. Prima sympathized with him, offering to let him stay with her for as long as he liked. Cheshire took this to mean that he could seal himself inside her(and really who could blame him, the way Prima rambles), which didn’t bother her in the least.
The only problem with Cheshire being sealed inside her was that he was constantly trying to get her to “stop growing.” This is a rather tame reference to death. After all, with the proper help, one can stop growing whenever one wants. Cheshire keeps insisting on offering that “proper help.”And when Prima finally does accept, he has promised a “special surprise” for her.
Ziamichi Spirit: Cheshire has a big problem with reality. It doesn’t like him and constantly tries to make him seem like he’s crazy. It doesn’t help that everyone else is in on the plan. This is often alluded to by himself. After all, he accepts the other realities that are believed to exist, he just doesn’t accept them as being real. Because he lives in a different reality, Cheshire has plenty of stories to tell, mostly about a place supposed to be Wonderland(and indeed Carroll’s stories are inspired by this alternate reality). These stories are far from what you would want to hear before going to bed, however, as they are a deep well of nightmare fuel. This all makes Cheshire a more down-to-earth and grim version of Prima’s personality.
Like most other cats, Cheshire is cunning but lazy, more so than the fox, the canine version of a cat. Instead of putting his mind to good use, the Cat cooks up a million and one ways to trick people and cause general mayhem. Of course, nothing pleases this cat more than breaking the stoic(cuties don’t snap quite as amusingly). This is done by general snarkiness used to find someone’s berserk button. He never intentionally harms Prima, however. There is an odd relationship there, with Cheshire acting somewhere between an overprotective father and a jealous boyfriend.
Ziamichi History: Smiling cats haven been noted throughout history, even before Lewis Carroll’s book including the Cheshire cat. Most of these appearances happen to be around the town of Cheshire, which is most likely where the cat takes his name from, or else the town its’, who knows. Either way, the cat turns up smiling in everything from sign posts to a coat of arms to murals in the church. One would be hard pressed to not find an image of him peeking out at you with that trademarked wide grin of his.
The reason that there are so many historical appearances of Cheshire is simple. The artists making these things have all seen him. The reason why he’s always sporting that much-too-wide grin? Why, he’s merely happy to see you. Cheshire is a spirit, and though today that may mean little, back long before the present day spirits were an odd thing indeed to be seen. Of course no one could say that they had seen a smiling cat peeking at them from around the corner, that would simply be ludicrous. So instead the people who had seen him used him in their works of art(odd, that everyone to see Cheshire is a type of artist). Before becoming known in Carroll’s books, these people were mostly limited to painters in the town of Cheshire.
Unfortunately, one of the people to be able to see Cheshire was a monk strictly devoted to the Christian faith. Upon seeing Cheshire’s grin floating on top of a thatched roof, he was seriously disturbed. Things just got worse when the cat’s face and body began appearing around that grin. The monk started freaking out when Cheshire actually greeted him and no one else seemed to notice the grinning, talking cat on the roof of the cottage. It was this event that sparked a lot of the “cats are evil” regime of Christians in medieval times.
Of course, when Lewis Carroll saw Cheshire the cat followed him, sensing something special about the man. He regaled him with his tales of “a wondrous yet terrifying land of perfect insanity.” This triggered many arguments over the reality of this land, almost all of them ending in Cheshire stalking away for a while to cool down after his apparent defeat. But what was worse, Carroll used these stories(albeit cleaned up quite a bit) to entertain his young lady friends the Liddles. In particular, as many may remember, Carroll was very sweet on the girl Alice Liddel. This elicited much teasing by Cheshire, mostly as rebuttals against Carroll refusing to admit to the reality of what he called Wonderland. When the books were published, the cat and the man had a falling out. Cheshire was hurt that Carroll had published a warped version of his world as fiction, and the man himself was too preoccupied with Alice that he took no heed of the cat’s leaving.
Seeing how happy Carroll was with Alice(even if she eventually only treated him as a slightly creepy uncle) made Cheshire long for his own female companion. So, for the first time in a while the cat left his home and went in search of a girl that might accept him as a companion. This wouldn’t happen for quite a while, as humans with high soul energy were still in short supply. Cheshire did meet a few other adult men, however. One of the most famous of these is Harry Houdini. The cat was quite bored at the time, and wasn’t really considering the possible implications of teaching a human his tricks. This was the first instance in which Cheshire sealed himself inside a human. Afterward he knew that he would take great care the next time he sealed himself. Still, his stint with Houdini was a great way to pass a few years, even though he lost a life in the process.
Another rather famous person to be influenced by Cheshire was T.S. Eliot, though less his traditional appearance and more in his powers. The cat and poem inspired by Cheshire is none other than Magical Mister Mistoffolees. Cheshire, being the shape shifter, decided his normal oddly-colored tabby appearance was too widely recognized, so he decided to switch it up a little. For the time that he was living with Eliot Cheshire would have his creepy grin plastered on the face of an ordinary black cat. This was never employed when the man himself was around. No, a few more tricks were employed instead, including the famous “where is that noise coming from” ploy. Sometimes he was heard on the roof, when he was curled up by the fire. Or else he was heard by the fire when he was about on the roof. At least they all heard that somebody purred. And so, in his unknown form, Cheshire was again immortalized in poem. Even more, the poem was made into a musical, and you can bet that at least one person in the crowd saw the floating Cheshire grin blending into the moon.
And after that, there wasn’t much else. Cheshire continued his search for his own “Alice” and even though the rate of spiritually strong humans was growing, none of the girls he met were any good. Either they were too literal, too real, too smart, or else they were prostitutes in the making, starving themselves and putting on mascara at the age of five. With nothing much to do, the cat followed his fame as a fictional character in both a childrens story and a classical work. Someone was bound to see an odd cat hanging around the theater, or else think they saw a Cheshire Grin up there in the corner of the screen or the stage. Another pastime was toying with the loonies. It was this that made Cheshire appreciate the uniqueness of those who weren’t all there, quite like himself.
And then, one day, when he was simply sitting invisible in a tree, a young, oddly dressed girl kept staring at him. She didn’t move and even though he was invisible the girl kept staring. That was when he realized that he was twitching his tail in the dying leaves. So, slowly, he smiled his big grin and let himself slip into visibleness. The girl in turn smiled, and to Cheshire’s surprise greeted him as though she were one of the figures everyone else often refused to acknowledge. Intrigued, Cheshire followed the girl home, learning that her name was Prima. Prima, such a wonderful name, even better than Alice. There was a slight disappointment when Prima tried to offer him fish and cream, a very mundane meal. No “Alice” would even try to pull that off. Except the girl seemed to realize this and proceeded to offer Cheshire tea and crumpets. He was delighted and deemed that he would speak to her, he would tell Prima about himself. Then, most surprising of all, Prima offered to let Cheshire seal himself inside her, without even knowing he was going to ask. It was perfect.
So, sealed inside Prima, Cheshire thought he was happy with her insanity, but it was not the case. Prima kept growing, and even interacted with the mundane humans that weren’t part of their world. So the cat decided she should stop growing, let those boring humans wither and die while Wonderland remained in a state of limbo. Except, he didn’t want to risk losing Prima, so he had to make sure she would stay with him after she died. Prima didn’t seem to understand the premise, so Cheshire decided he would have to convince her slowly, eventually getting what he desired.
Ziamichi powers: Cheshire is a world class illusionist. Among his powers are shape shifting, the ability to become both invisible and intangible, as well as the common ability to throw his voice. The powers of invisibility and intangibility are not linked, as many would believe. Cheshire can be invisible without being intangible, intangible without being invisible and both at the same time. When shape shifting, it is usually fairly complete, the only thing that gives him away are his eyes. They will be the same blood red as his true form, with split pupils. If the thing he takes the form of is living, you’re likely to see his grin plastered on its face.
Unique Traits: Prima’s hearing, night sight, sense of smell and balance are all heightened, as well as her flexibility. Prima has also gained a Jacobson’s organ in the roof of her mouth, which in cats is connected to the nasal passages allowing them to “taste the air.” This is present in all her forms, and acts to enhance her ability to sense souls. Also, Cheshire has offered to infuse different qualities into Prima’s Throwing Cards.
Soul Weapon: Playing Cards: This is a deck of playing cards made of pure reiatsu. They can be thrown in the air and made to fly if, Prima can concentrate. Otherwise, they can simply be thrown at a target. On hitting the opponent and causing as much damage as they are capable of, each card immediately dissipates and returns to the bottom of the deck. The edge of each card can be compared to the cutting edge of a zanpakuto. As well as being used as weapons, this deck can be used as regular playing cards, which Prima often does. The deck is composed of all fifty-four cards, including the suits and two joker cards.
Playing Card Powers:
Ace of Spades: Known as the Black Spot, there is a thin layer of poison on the edges of the card. Immediate effects are pain and swelling of the affected area. The wounds do not close without treated they will fester and begin to rot, causing something very similar to leprocy. The full effect takes about a week, plenty of time to be treated. The effects can easily be avoided by simple stitches.
Two of Spades: Wild Card, can take on the powers of the other cards.
Three of Spades: General ability to generate wind around the card.
Four of Spades: General ability to generate wind around the card.
Five of Spades: General ability to generate wind around the card.
Six of Spades: General ability to cause wind around the card.
Seven of Spades: General ability to create wind around the card.
Eight of Spades: General ability to create wind around the card.
Nine of Spades: General ability to create wind around the card.
Ten of Spades: General ability to create wind around the card.
Knave/Jack of Spades: Wild Card, can take on any of the powers of the other cards
Queen of Spades: General ability to create wind, strong enough to cause a small twister.
King of Spades: Can turn into a man wielding a short sword upon nearing the opponent and can take a single swing at them. May also stand in this form by Prima and attack anyone that comes too near.
Ace of Hearts: Wild Card. Can take on any of the powers of the other cards.
Two of Hearts: Wild Card, can take on any of the powers of the other cards.
Three of Hearts: General ability to create water on the card.
Four of Hearts: General ability to create water on the card.
Five of Hearts: General ability to create water on the card
Six of Hearts: General ability to generate water.
Seven of Hearts: general ability to generate water.
Eight of Hearts: General ability to generate water.
Nine of Hearts: General ability to generate water.
Ten of Hearts: General ability to generate water.
Knave/Jack of Hearts: Wild Card, can take on any powers of the other cards.
Queen of Hearts: General ability to generate water, enough to cause a small rain cloud.
King of Hearts: Can increase in size and turn into a replica of Prima, as a type of illusion. When this effect is deactivated it will grow as word hilt from its head and(if deactivated by being hit by an opponent within striking distance) draw the sword in order to take a swing at an opponent. Afterward it will dissolve and return to the bottom of the deck.
Ace of Diamonds: Wild Card, can take on the abilities of any other card.
Two of Diamonds: Wild Card, can take on the abilities of any other card.
Three of Diamonds: Creates sand in its wake
Four of Diamonds: Creates sand in its wake
Five of Diamonds: Creates sand in its wake

Eight of diamonds: Creates sand in its wake
Nine of Diamonds: Creates sand in its wake
Ten of Diamonds: Creates sand in its wake
Jack of Diamonds: Can be enlarged and used as a shield.
Queen of Diamonds: Creates sand in its wake, causing a small sandstorm.
King of Diamonds: Once within striking distance of an opponent this card turns into a man with an axe and quickly takes a swing at the enemy. Can also be activated to stand near Prima and take a swing at any opponent that comes too near her.
Ace of Clubs: Wild Card, can take on any of the abilities of the other cards.
Two of Clubs: Wild card, can take on any of the abilities of the other cards.
Three of Clubs: General ability to generate fire
Four of Clubs: General ability to generate fire
Five of Clubs: General ability to generate fire

Nine of Clubs: General ability to generate fire
Ten of Clubs: General ability to generate fire
Knave/Jack of Clubs: Can be enlarged and used as a shield.
Queen of Clubs: General ability to generate fire, hot enough to melt metal.
King of Clubs: Can turn into a man wielding a long sword and take one swing at an enemy before dissipating and returning to the bottom of the deck. May also be activated and used to protect Prima.
Jokers: Are separated from the deck and are used to start the “Card Games”
Card Game: Rummy: In real life this is categorized as a matching game, where the object is to put together certain cards that match. Prima can match together the abilities of certain cards to create a powerful attack. For example, by matching together any Spade and Heart cards Prima can create anything from a rain storm to a water spout. A Spade and Diamond card can create a sandstorm. Cannot be activated when any other “games” are being played.
Card Game: 52 Card Pickup: A gag game in real life, causing one or many of the players to run around picking up scattered cards. Prima’s version is considerably more deadly. Her cards will fly around her in what appears to be a wind storm. An enemy attempting to approach her will cause them to swarm around them, much like a hive of angry bees. Generally used as a defense tactic.
(more card games may be added)
Soul Weapon: Pocket Watch: A pocket watch made out of reiatsu that can be used as a flail. Unlike the cards, the Pocket Watch does not work as what it looks like. It could, but it’s broken. The watch is stuck on the exact time Prima met Cheshire, 4:44 pm.
Invisibility: Allows the user to become invisible in full or in part, depending on their power and control. This is not linked to intangibility.
Intangibility: Part or all of the user’s body can become intangible, having no physical properties. When used without also using invisibility the affected area becomes semi-transparent in appearance, looking ghost-like.

Forms:
Default: Prima is not using any of Cheshire’s powers. Her sense of smell, hearing, night sight and balance are more than the average human’s.
The seed of Madness: Prima takes a more beast-like form, though she is still bipedal. Her speed increases in this form, and she can very easily execute dodge and strike techniques. Her nails become longer and sharper like claws, and her canines grow into fangs. She can still use her weapons, but is less likely to do so. Prima can turn invisible for a minute at a time but cannot control how much of her is invisible. She can also turn all of her body intangible for a few seconds at a time.
Madness Rampant: Prima takes the complete form of a feline-esque beast, though you could hardly call it a kitty. This form is much larger than the previous one, and her speed decreases. Her strength, on the other hand, is increased phenomenally through sheer muscle mass and brute force. No resemblance to a human, Prima cannot use any weapons that aren’t part of her body(claws and teeth). In this form she can control what parts of her body are invisible and can keep them that way for about three to five minutes, depending on how large the area is that she needs to keep invisible. This time becomes shorter if the area is also intangible.
Suicide: Prima takes the form of kitten. At this point she has all of Cheshire’s powers. This is the point of no return, the ability to “stop growing” that Cheshire is so adamant about. This of course means that Prima is dead as a doorknob. This form could always be taken when she isn’t fighting, but this is extremely unlikely. What happens afterward is unknown, even to Cheshire, but he assumes that they will continue to exist as spirits, together, forever.
Control: 4, because Cheshire is fond of her and willing to work with her.
Ziamichi Class: (Ranging from E to the weakest and A to the strongest; With S being a special class of demons. Don't do anything to this, the staff will decide how strong your demon will be from how good your application is and how good your role playing skills are.)
Drawbacks:[/b] After a certain point in a battle, Prima will start having hallucinations of the nightmare fuel variety. This may be her opponent appearing to kill or disfigure her, everything taking on a grotesque appearance, or anything in general that makes you want to writhe and scream. This can escalate to the point that the real world no longer exists. If this happens too often before Prima takes her final form, it will be permanent. Taking the fourth form means Prima is no longer alive. Normally, Prima is fairly understandable, except when she has to think too hard on an answer, but if she overuses her powers she is much more likely to begin speaking in a word salad, or to even be completely incomprehensible.
Roleplay Sample: Prima strolled along a quaint little forest path on the outskirts of Karakura. The fact that being so far from the town could possibly be dangerous meant nothing to the girl. She took it for granted that there were Shinigami patrolling the area. Besides, this path was Prima’s favorite in the whole forest. Along side the girl floated a blue and gray tabby cat with blood red eyes. It stared at her with those usually unnerving eyes, a weird expression on his face. Upon reaching a clearing the girl let herself fall onto the leaf covered ground. The cat floated above her, bushy tail twitching. It didn’t like being this far away from the protective barrier. Still, there was nothing he could do about it.
“Say, Hunney, care for some riddles?”
Prima’s eyes focused on Cheshire, her arm falling to her side from tracing the outline of the trees above her. Nodding her head at the cat, the girl sat up, crossing her legs and waiting intently on the first riddle.
“Okay, so Fred and Wanda are found dead in a pool of water with shards of glass around them. In the background lurks a cat. What happened?”
Prima thought for a moment. She tried to think of a logical answer at first, but one thing led to another and pretty soon her thoughts were jumbled up and she couldn’t figure out where she had started. And so, with complete conviction, she simply made up an answer.
“The rocking chair was squeaky and there wasn’t any soup.”
Of course, this was far from the actual answer, but who cared? This was much more fun. Cheshire’s ghostly form floated down and sat on Prima’s lap. Even though he was just a visual representation of the spirit sealed inside the girl, with no physical form and no weight, simply placing his paw on Prima’s chest made her lay back down. This was simply an understanding between the two. The cat curled up on the girl’s chest and asked his next riddle, grinning.
“A man committed suicide in a room with nothing but a chandelier, a door, the rope used for the suicide and a puddle of water under the rope. How did he do it?”
Again, Prima’s thoughts became jumbled in only a few moments. Lifting her hands from her sides she began moving them as though she were counting her fingers. Where had she been before her thoughts went to cake? Prima’s consciousness slugged through her thoughts like mud before finally giving up and stringing together a few gems onto an answer.
“The beans boiled so he went and had pudding with a monkeyin a fez.”
Cheshire’s grin widened. He seemed to be having a lot of funwith this. Prima smiled herself, face beaming. Life was great in these moments, and she nearly found herself asking how exactly Cheshire planned on helping her to stop growing. She couldn’t, however, as at that moment a foul scent hit the roof of her mouth, causing Prima to sit up and cover her face with a hand. Cheshire bristled, facing the direction of the wailing sound of a hunting hollow.
“Hunney, I think it’s time to get out your watch.”
Prima pulled the chain out of her pocket and flipped open her pocket watch. Its main purpose was to use as a flail and was actually alittle too large for a practical pocket watch. Still, that didn’t keep the airhead from checking the time whenever she took it out. The time read four fourty-four, even though it was quite obviously noon. The watch had broken quite some time ago. Letting the chain hang loose in her hand, Prima took a wide low stance, waiting for the hollow.
It was a large thing, on four trunk-like legs with flat bottoms, a huge bulky body and a large head covered in the signature white mask. Prima waited until the beast was close enough and then leapt into the air, spinning her pocket watch. It formed a blur in the air and a whizzing sound. The hollow brought up its long masked nose between its two long tusks to block the attack and Prima ended up landing on the appendage. This was the perfect position from which to use her other weapon. From her other pocket came a playing card, its edges razor sharp. The two of clubs was the first card Prima’s hand reached and with lightning speed she threw the card straight between the hollow’s eyes. The two of hearts embedded itself in the hollow’s head, smoldering a little before destroying the hollow. As the girl fell to the ground she dissolved the card and returned it to the deck. Standing for amoment and blinking, Prima fell onto her bum and looked around for the cat.
“Say, Cheshire, do you know why a raven is like a writingdesk?”
“No Hunney, why?”
Prima blinked before answering, “Why, neither can play the violin, of course.”
