What If: Demonic Incursion: Death of a Captain
Thu Aug 07, 2014 10:49 am
The battle had raged. Iriko Puzyri-Teimei Crow had battled, and battled hard, but it had not been enough. Tsubasa could only take the damage given to him by Khala, and it finally had reached the point where the battle was reaching its climax as Iriko declared his Bubaru 4.
However, in this alternate universe, his persuasive measures had not been enough.
The male's corpse was sent flying downwards, his eyes barely able to understand light as he came crashing down into the ground, choking up blood as the explosions from his Bubaru 4 were denied, instead of being backwashed... so now, they were within the final hour of the man who had given his life, his body flying as he was sent cartwheeling backwards. His back finally slammed against the ground as he gasped, letting out another choke of blood as he skid or thousands of feet, gravel and dirt and blood and slime being left in the Fifth Division Captain's wake as he slid farther and farther, before finally coming to a halt.
"...No.... I... Lost...? ... Tragedy... I guess you're th eonly riend that's been with me... the whole time, hmm...?" The male's mouth weakly muttered as he relaxed his body into the overwhelming pain, his soul having fractured from the failure of his technique. It was at this point... that he could finally hear footstep, and it finally occurred to him that Squad Four had arrived. "..." He was silent as his rapidly decaying form was picked up, as he knew there was only one who would hold him quite this... tenderly.
"It's... no use... but... it's alright." The male stated as his right hand reached up, gripping the young woman's wrist that was filled with energy to attempt to heal him. "... Shh..." He told her gently as the blood continued to pour from his wounds, his eyes barely able to remain open. "I have... one more... poem... I've wanted to say... for..." The tears on her face radiated in his own, as they slowly began to cascade down his cheeks as he beheld the only one whom he had ever truly loved.
"...You are my sunshine..." The words flowed out as the woman gripped him tighter, his eyes closing as his frail arms wrapped around her form, holding her closely. "My only... sunshine..." The male stated, a lump starting in his throat, but he continued all the same as he heard her sob. "You make me happy... when skies are gray..." He continued, his own face as the tears coursed down now, his grip increasing even as his life began to fade. "You'll never know dear, how much I love you..." He continued, the tears now cascading as his grip began to weaken, his head beginning to fall back, his eyes looking directly at hers.
"Please don't take... my sunshine... away...!"
And as the words coursed through the air, the male released the death-grip he'd held onto his life for so long, and in that instance...
The Captain, Iriko Crow, died.
...So yeah.

...So yeah.
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
