Begin the Journey [OPEN]

Song: The Final Blow --- By: aKu --- Word Count: 563
The middle of nowhere. A desolate landscape that extended for several miles, the picture of a dry-cracked ground like a desert coming to mind, except with hollows scouring the area endlessly; space seemed to split. From it walked out Kururai, stepping forward and dropping no more than a foot before landing on the dust-clouded ground. Immediately behind him was the closing of the portal into the Nether, returning space to what it had been before.
"Uhh.. This isn't Hueco Mundo." Words came forth from Kururai's mouth, directed towards the voice which soon echoed throughout his head in a flat tone. "You are in what seems to be what's referred to as 'The Wastelands'. It's similar to Hueco Mundo, in that, for its majority, the area is barren, relatively secluded, and crawling with Hollows." Kururai scoffed a bit, smirking an annoyed retort, "Heh, just like home--but, in other words, not the right place. Great job."
A brief pause ensued, no more than a two seconds, before the Nether once again echoed throughout Kururai's head in a flat, apathetic tone. "You used your own skills to rip into Hueco Mundo. You are the one who got yourself here." Clicking his tongue, he jerked his head back, supposedly signifying a displeased reaction; in the end, Kururai confirmed it saying, "Tch. Don't patronize me." "I don't believe that was patrona-" "You know what, let's just move on." In a bit of a grumpy manner, Kururai ceased the conversation and redirected both his own and the Nether's attention to the surroundings, looking around and finding plenty more than just a hollow or two. Rather, at least a few dozen.
"So. This is what you said I needed to do? This is how to grow?" Answering Kururai's question in a timely manner, the usual apathetic tone accompanied his information. "Yes. In order for you to grow stronger and evolve, you must eat other hollows; also, no, I do not know if they taste any good, and taking you in does not qualify as 'eating a hollow'." Kururai exhaled in excitement, expecting the Nether to have anticipated the question on how hollows tasted. Instead of getting ready to ask such a follow-up question, he was instead focused on who to target first. Which hollow should I take out first? The one over there, about fourteen metres away? Maybe the hollow to the left? Twenty-three meteres from me? Kururai had actually moved his fingers to his chin, pondering what action to take.
A few seconds passed before the Nether would input his opinion. "Perhaps you should-" "Don't worry, Nether. I already have an idea on what you might suggest." Following his interrupting reply, Kururai had channeled dimensional energy into his right arm, a longsword of pure energy forming in his hand. "Why take it one at a time, right?" Without much reserve, Kururai let out a large blast of dimensional energy blow out from him, its harmless reach extending out a few hundred feet outward. All at once, the hollows in the vicinity had stopped whatever it was they were doing, their masks fixated on him. His cheek flexed, forcing his lips to spread across his face revealing a devilish smile; Kururai's eyes squinted, sparking brightly in a crazed manner. These soft pink lips of his had opened, revealing sparkling teeth encompassed by a wide, desiring grin.
"Let's have a bit of a spar, brethren. Ahaha..."

Song: Catnip Trip --- By: Falcon Funk --- Word Count: 707
There was a silence looming over the area. Everything was kept still, surprisingly. Nothing seemed to budge--even the air and reishi which flowed failed to document any movement or do so itself.
"Um... Hello?"
Movement could be sensed from all directions in one sudden burst. North, Northwest, South, Southeast--various hollows charged in Kururai's direction, their excited reaction unexpected, but easily dealt with. Sure, his reaction seemed to lag a bit later than usual, but not by much of a margin. A VERY brief moment was taken as he simply stood still, closing his eyes and focusing on the energy signatures and displacements in heavy reishi consuming every corner of space nearby.
Four nearest to me, one Northwest, one Southeast, two from the West. The nearest to me are in order, the two from the west, the one from the Northwest, and the other from the Southeast. "Heh. Let's get to work then!" Excited to be sprung into combat, Kururai pivoted in the balls of his feet before lunging himself towards the two hollows from the west, the closet ones to him.
The one on the left seemed to be shaped like a snake, slithering across the dry cracked ground in a blazing speed, but nothing Kururai couldn't surpass. The one on the right was a different story. It was bulky strong-seeming, its reiatsu much larger than the one to its right. Seemingly low-level, Kururai reacted without much reserve in his actions, two precise movements set in place to take down these creatures.
In a blaring speed, covering the distance between the three of them in an instant, Kururai appeared before the both of them, taking the low-ground and shrinking his volume to a near kneeling position. Raising his chin, he looked at the two monsters, whose eyes had barely followed his movements, the glow in their masks--which seemed to represent their pupils--fixated on him. The blade comprised of energy in his hand was grasped tightly, as it swung from behind him and into the abdomen of the bulky hollow on his right in a slashing motion. The snake-hollow seemed to react far quicker than his obese acquaintance, darting its sharp mask towards Kururai.
A half-smirk painted the right side of his cheek, as the energy sword immediately stopped right before the abdomen of Hollow Santa was actually cut. Instead, he swung around in a rotational motion, rolling along the foot in the back, pivoting out of the darting snake. It would seem as though Kururai had anticipated its movements before making them, the slight disposition of reishi in the air displaying the muscular movement of its neck, hinting a move to soon be made.
In a flow which seemed to connect these smooth movements as if they were one move altogether, Kururai had avoided the lunging snake's head, its neck--or perhaps, upperbody?--completely exposed and vunerable; and Kururai wasn't one to miss an opportunity. Without hesitation, the sword was swung down, severing the snake into two parts. The only variable left from this little fiasco was the larger hollow, which didn't seem to amass to much of a problem, based on what Kururai could tell. It was a rather easy accomplishment to rid himself of the trouble. The energy sword left his hand rather quickly, as it was thrown towards the remaining beast, piercing its mask--and head--in a swift movement.
"Real fights are easier than I expected..." Kururai's said, an arrogant tone making his words seem that more noticeable--enough so that the Nether would formed its own input, "Take care to not be too confident. That might be your downfall." Ignoring these words, Kururai took a moment, ignoring the other hollows coming at him from behind. Instead, he pondered the thought of eating these beasts now, or storing them for after the battle would subside. "Mmmmm.... nah. I should get to them later."
With his mind decided, he turned around to face the next several targets, as the two deceased hollows behind him were drawn into a ripped portion of space leading into the Nether. Following this action was its abrupt close, as well as the forming of another energy-sword in Kururai's hand.
Cracking his neck, bending it side-to-side, Kururai shook his body, preparing himself for the next few engagements. "Well then! Let's go catch us some hollows!"

From the shadows watched two individuals in complete silence. They had been drawn to this show by the bursts of power being recklessly given off in this area. They could understand the necessity of using your power to clear out hollow, but to do so in the wastelands with no clue of who could be lurking around the next corner, well that was just plain risky, hell it was borderline cocky. One of the boys was hard to see; he was dressed in all black, a suit jacket that reached past his legs, slacks, black shoes, and a black tie. The only color came from his white undershirt and the red iris in his right eye. The other boy was bright as a light; this one was wearing all white, white suit jacket with long coat tails, slacks, white shoes, and a white tank. His splash of color came from a black pocket on his suit and a yellow iris in his left eye.
After watching the other kill off a few of the hollows and congratulate himself on how easy a real fight was, the boy in black smirked and let out a small laugh. The one in white smacked his cohort and told him to shush. He wasn't too keen in on jumping in so early, he wanted to wait it out, see what this other person was able to do. Shrugging his shoulders and telling his friend to cool it, the one in black stepped out of the shadows and started clapping.
"Well, well, well, aren't you just a professional hollow slayer." In the light you could see that his hair was as dark as his clothes and his left eye was nothing but a hole. Surrounding that hole were three scars straight down as if formed by an animals claws. However instead of being skin deep they were raised and made of a bone like material, a hollow mask. Underneath his suit jacket you could see the hilt of a blade sticking up out of the top. From the other side the one in white stepped out facing the other hollows in the area.
In the light you could see that this boy had hair whiter than the sands they stood on. His right eye was also a hole with an identical hollow mask. This one glared at the hollows and a deep guttural growl started to build up. The hollows backed off slightly and observed the situation slowly, taking in the fact that they now might have to fight all three of them. Behind the white one's suit was the hilt of a blade as well. Turning slightly so that his face was now showing to the fighter it would be quite apparent that both the one in white and the one in black had identical faces except for the mirrored eyes. Twins stood before the fighter.
"What my brother Tristan is colorfully trying to say is, these hollows hardly constitute a real fight. You're good, but well, how good are you really?" The one in white said with a cold calm, a hint of danger in his voice. "Do you always have to be so rude Chris, perhaps I wanted to have some fun with this one before we got down to the messy parts." Tristan said with that perpetual smile. He might have looked all happy and cheerful, but there was something challenging in his stance, in the way he talked to the fighter.
"Rude? No, merely cautious. This fighter is killing our kin. I admit the hollows are not exactly the most agreeable at times, but to be actively hunting them? Well that could mean he's an enemy." Chris said, his cold gaze still trained on the fighter. "Maybe he'd be more friend to us if we gave him a chance to talk and introduce ourselves hmm? I am Tristan and he is Chris. We are Gemelos, and we are arrancar. And you are? Name, friend, foe? Chris would like to know before he decides to kill you." Tristan laughed as he said this. Clearly this twin didn't understand what things people viewed as humorous. One with a smile, one with a glare, the two twins Chris and Tristan Gemelos awaited an answer from their new acquaintance.

Miles away from the conflict if one were to gaze upon the ground for a few moments they may be lucky to spot the fading footsteps of a single person. If one were to track the faded steps upon the desert floor they would find that they were steadily headed off into the horizon before fading completely. These footprints belonged to a single man, Horus Sariel, whom had felt several clashing presences in the distance ahead. Even at the distance he was the crimson haired Vizard could feel the presence of several Hollow's, almost as if they had found something to fight among themselves for. Finally it seemed like the male would have something to do, admittedly the time since the War for Australia had been quite boring. Yet Horus knew his boredom was his own doing, after-all he had chosen to drift out of contact with the Kokuryuteshi despite knowing he may face unknown consequences upon contacting them again. And so the Lieutenant Commander of the Jade Cross made his way towards the horizon, his footprints fading as the sands of the desert washed over them.
Several minutes later a small kick-up of dust roughly 400 yards from Kururai's location would tell of Horus's arrival at the conflict between several Hollow's. Upon arriving it was simple for the golden eyed male to tell that the gathering mass of Hollow's were fighting against what appeared to be a human male, though the energy coming from the male felt off somehow. Horus's gaze would follow the male as he engaged the hollow's, swiftly dealing precise and deadly blows to each that was engaged. Gaze still upon the ongoing combat Horus watched as the male launched his weapon towards the remaining hollow, swiftly piercing its skull. After that moment things appeared to become more interesting as several more hollow presented themselves for battle. In those moments the young male would have recreated the weapon he had just used to impale a hollow, thus telling Horus that the male was able to create the weapon whenever needed, and possibly in high numbers.. He would certainly need to be cautious of that if he were to enter the conflict himself.
At this point it quickly became evident that Horus wasn't the only one drawn to the conflict that had arisen between the hollows and the male. Not far off from where Horus had been watching everything occur another being stepped forth from the shadows. Seemingly male the being appeared to be clothed with a preference for black, and his hair was just as dark to match. Upon noticing the hole that made up the males left eye, along with the mask fragment around the hole, Horus knew just what he would be dealing with.. Arrancar.. Then another male stepped forth, this one appearing to be opposite of the one he accompanied. The second Arrancar possessed an identical mask fragment, as well as white hair. Upon a growl emitting from the second Arrancar the Hollow's that had gathered promptly backed off. Interest having been peaked the crimson haired Vizard began walking towards the gathering group, his steps slow and deliberate, as if giving the others the chance to pick up on his presence if they hadn't already.
Walking directly towards the group that had gathered his interest Horus watched as the two Arrancar spoke, it seemed the young male had also garnered their interest. Though there would be no way for Horus to know for sure until he was close enough to hear what was being said. Yet it mattered not, for before him stood the cure to the agonizing boredom he had felt since the conclusion of the War for Australia. Despite being given a new purpose during the War the male knew not what to do with himself. And so here he was, ready to sate the burning desire to do something. Footstep would grow closer to the group, each footfall growing slightly louder than the one before it as slowly the golden eyed male allowed his reiatsu to flow freely, allowing it to wash over the area carrying with it malicious intent. Even before entering combat it seemed Horus had made up his mind.. Shinku Nikuya was coming out to play!!
