The long shadows that clung to the world where demons resided were almost always too black and menacing for even those that reveled in such sin as the monsters known as demons. They grew ever further in city such as this, it was a predicament that lead to the encroaching horror of what terrors may lurk in the darkness of a place such as this, what could possibly be so horrible that it hid in the shadows of those that made the shadows their territory. The idea did certainly seem quite unnerving, however the presence of Shadowfall was their to make sure that such things should never happen in the cities that they looked to protect under the name of their queen. Knights for sure looked to make patrols, from any and every circle those under the name of their duke or royal would be the prevention force to any source of distress or trouble in the city, though in a den of Demons, what could possibly be viewed as above the beck and call of distress? A large gathering of demons seemingly gone mad would help such a question be answered....

Many knights held back the wave of ravaging demons that attacked and ripped and tore at each other it was an oddity to say the least, every man and woman seemed to have lost their minds and began clawing at anything that they could see. To have such an effect on the people in this city was not good to say the least, even with the guards of Shadowfall looking to keep the peace many were losing their concentration in the wave of what seemed to be anger....However when they felt it all they would note was that these people seemed to claw at each other with the aim to take from others in this case it seemed to be their lives.... Many from the 1st, 5th and 7th circles seemed to gather it was their job of course to make sure that the peace was kept by any means though with all these people out of control it would seemingly be better to exterminate them rather than leave it to fate and hope the crowd would subside. Then of course as it tended to go there was one... A single well-dressed man in the center of it all, sipping tea while sitting on a well dressed out picnic table... "Ah a festival like this is great for getting the blood rushing... Who knew causing a bit of havoc would be so much fun~" The demon of course was none other than Reigen Akogi, his presence alone lead to the mass amount of greed to overtake the people and cause them to frenzy at anything worth of value even if it was someone else's life...

It was a simple enough job, seemed some newer found demons were uncomfortable with the way the day was going, they wanted thing to be stirred up and have a change in the area that would cause those in the circles to have to intervene. It wasn't like Reigen to make contracts with children but they were some of the only ones smart enough to actually trust in the idea that it was a good idea to make one.... They were of course the first to fall in the crowd of now manic Demons shifting from one from or another to get what they felt was rightfully theirs. Though now that the crowd had attracted the knights of Shadowfall however Reigen felt that maybe it was time for him to have a more involved role with the game he was playing, so in this case he'd have to change it up... Standing and looking outwards with one stab of a chain the crowd around his location was gone, along with a large slab of the ground around him in a circling position that the knights had taken to corral the creatures in. "Ahhhhh That's better, so many thoughts at once its like having a migraine while feeling perfectly fine at the same time! But anyways that was enough, though a food for thought action might occur now where I've just put them.... I'm sure one of the worlds will note the meteor filled with mad demons... Seems kinda hard to miss~"

As he finished his thought the armor of the circles present looked to enswarm the Demon, it was obvious that he was the cause of all the distress, this rogue element was more than enough to be harmful and had to be stamped out, there were more than a hundred of them gathered and in the end quantity tended to trump quality in the terms of battle... Unfortunately for Shadowfall's staff, their wasn't a quality that could measure Reigen... The first wave would charge in, only to be blasted back by what seemed to be only the well-dressed Fiend's backhand. "Come on! I didn't even want to knock you back there..." The taunting didn't help the situation as a few men were already injured and lying in the gutter now formed around the small arena that Reigen had made for himself. A few minutes passed and though many would still appear the demon had placed himself in an area where numbers could be taken down with simple 360 positioning, the game of king of the hill being played was ever so graceful to him~ A few brave souls seemingly got the drop on the wickedly depraved Demon, only for their weapons or fists to miss their mark as a hand came from behind. "Hey fellas how's the health care around here?" The noises from above were most certainly unsettling though the helmet with head still inside did not help either. "Yeah these guys probably don't need those helmets anymore..... Didn't seem to do much good....." The lackadaisical manner he had as the pile of corpses around him seemed to pile further up to the point of acting as a makeshift wall from the gully below showed Reigen's lack of candor in this case.... He was a shark, and right now the decided that he'd start spilling the blood so he could smell it, though he had hoped someone more entertaining would arrive, the cannon fodder could only die so many ways before it became repetitive.....

Red Like Roses... Green Like Greed Empty Re: Red Like Roses... Green Like Greed

Styn was leaning back with his eyes closed, feet propped up on his small desk. The solid surface was littered with papers. In the corner opposite from his legs was a computer screen which had been flashing at him for the last several minutes. The volume of course was off. The Demon Knight was resting for once. It wasn't quite sleep, as he remained aware of his surroundings, but it certainly was relaxing. Lately he seemed to spending alot more time closer to home and it was refreshing. Doubtless this would change when the people calling the shots figured out what to do with him.

His casual awareness locked onto an approaching Za Koa signature. In addition to an almost meditative state of mind he was taking this chance to try and hone an ill practiced spirit sense. Styn's ability to perceive reiatsu and other forms of energy had always been low. Mostly that was because he had always trapped his own aura from escaping by constantly reinforcing his passive Akuma Kyodo. Death could come at any time and the young demon preferred to be prepared. Expecting the unexpected had saved his life before, and he was sure it would again.

Closing his eyes made the process simpler. There were actually very interesting things he had begun to notice over the past few sessions. Not only for example, was there a rapidly approaching Za Koa signature that he recognized. By the flux of the demon's energy Styn was also able to tell that whoever it was, they were quite upset. So it was that when the demoness stepped into his office, she found him bright eyed and bush tailed, ready to deal with whatever the latest crisis was. Seeing Styn look at her so expectantly threw her off for a moment, but she was quick to recover.

"Styn, we've got a problem. Do you know where Archduke Hobgoblin is?" she asked with anxiety oozing from every word. The demoness even went so far as to dry wash her hands and if Styn wasn't mistaken that was a nervous tick in the flesh around her right eye.

"Um no, no I do not know where his excellency is at this moment. What kind of problem would require the Archduke's personal attention?" Styn said with a healthy degree of skepticism. He knew the demoness in passing and struggled a moment to recall her name. "Why don't you calm down and tell me what's going on Calina. Perhaps you'd care to sit?" Styn asked while gesturing for her to take a seat on a smaller table, also cluttered with paper.

"No!" Calina shouted before taking a deep calming breath. "No, I don't have time to sit down and I don't have time to tell you what's going on. I need to find someone strong enough to deal with this mess before Queen Mana decides to take a personal hand in it. Reigen Akogi is laying waste to Flow City. We've already lost an entire company of Knights."

With a wild look in her eyes the demoness spun about and dashed from his office. Styn felt a chill go down his spine. He had always known that he would have to fight Reigen one day. There had been a time when he had hoped to make the man a friend, but that option was never really on the table for the Immoral Dealer. Reigen played his own game and he was generally smart about it. Which of course begged the question, what did Reigen think he was doing assaulting one of the largest and most protected cities in the Demon World.

It would seem that Styn wasn't the only one who had been growing in power, although truth be told he was hardly in a position to measure the gentleman demon in their last encounter. It was completely possible that Styn had never properly comprehended the strength that Reigen had. All of this was a moot point though. While Styn would have preferred to put off this encounter until the turbulent mass of his implanted memories stabilized, it would seem that call wasn't going to be up to him.

He had made no move to stop Calina from leaving. Although many had begun to suspect that something had changed about Styn, the things that had been done to him were still considered a top secret project even among other Shadow Fall operatives. As a bastion of order, Styn tended to follow commands. In this case it even made sense to do so. He represented a new degree of battle power for his organization. Keeping him in reserve was a sound tactical decision.

This particular mess was clearly on the First Circle for whatever reason, and Mana expected results from her Archdukes. An attack against a demon city under Shadow Fall's direct protection could not go unpunished. It was completely possible that someone else was already on their way, but with everything that was going on all over the multiverse Styn might very well be the only one able to answer this challenge. Standing up he moved to the doorway, but did not exit.

Styn stood not quite six feet tall, taller then average perhaps, but not in a way that stood out. His medium build accentuated his averageness, he wasn't quite slim, but fell short of heavily muscled. Dark green hair only an inch or so in length, could possibly be a dye job. Pale violet eyes, while a questionable fashion choice, were not outside cosmetic modification. Both ears came to slight point at the apex of their arc, something easily overlooked. His teeth might be a bit sharper then normal for a human, but they retained the same basic shape and placement. The demon's nails also came to a point and were thicker then common, but were by no means long talons or claws. All and all - discounting Za Koa which was naturally suppressed in this base form - Styn would go unremarked in most locations.

The Knight of the First Circle sported a dark green business suit, almost black outside of direct light. The pale violet tie was clearly meant to bring out his eyes, which were somewhat concealed behind a pair of gunmetal gray glasses with translucent bottom rims. Black dress shoes capped out the attire, with especial detail paid so that the combat boot soles didn't look out of place. Still the effect lacked a certain something. First of all, his white button down shirt was untucked, which his unbuttoned dark green jacket didn't quite conceal. His tie was loosened at least an inch, and cocked slightly to the left. His pants looked a bit rumpled and his shoes were scuffed. In addition his eyes had heavy dark bags under them and his stare was half lidded, giving him the appearance of someone tired or sick.

With a flick of his hand the Demon Knight ripped open a hole in the fabric of reality. Kage Chokyo-shi was a bit of specialty of his and he was familiar with with Flow City, having worked patrols there several times in the months since he had been with Shadow Fall. Stepping forward through the rift onto the roof of an industrial complex, Styn cocked his head to the side getting a feel for his present location as the portal whisked shut behind him. He had a vague sense of where Reigen was at the moment, but just barely. The Immoral Dealer's Za Koa signature was as enigmatic as when they had last met.

Styn wasn't the sort of person to work himself up for a good brawl, slowly building to his full power. He didn't particularly enjoy battle, although at the moment a different set of instincts were savoring the pending conflict. When he was moved to fight he preferred immediate and overwhelming force to deal with threats. That's why he didn't hesitate to unleash his true form mere seconds after confirming that he wasn't in any immediate danger.

The transformation consolidated his power instead of expanding it. The concentration and density of his physical structure was roughly the same, with a few distinct differences. From finger tip to elbow his arms were now encased in a thick bone white mass. It was as if his hands were now the claws of a beast at least three times his size. They were still five fingered, and smooth across the top, however the underside of every digit was now razor sharp. At the elbow, extending out like short swords, were two double edged bone white blades, one for each arm. The tips of those edges would just barely pass his shoulder blades if his arm was fully extended.

Gauntlets were only part of the new look. His legs from knee to toe were also encased in thickened, claw tipped grieves. In addition, across the knees were studded spikes, needle sharp, but blade thick. The thin strands of his hair warped and locked into rows of hooked barbs, although the hair at least maintained its green coloring. As his glasses dissolved into his face, the final transition would be the opening of this third eye. This opening was accompanied by ninety-nine other eyes similarly opening all over his body, although these were mostly hidden by his clothes. The change in his energy would be equivalent to a Shinigami's Shikai.

The one hundred eyes all over his form pushed outward, briefly holding the ability to phase through his suit as his full power manifested. Once separated from his body they rapidly multiplied tenfold, filling the air with one thousand quarter sized spheres. Neural pathways normally dormant came to blazing life within Styn's mind. His brain capacity dramatically increased to deal with the sudden sensory overload. There was a moment of disorientation which quickly passed. The Demon Knight's Za Koa signature increased in magnitude to be comparable to that of a Shinigami's Bankai. Although obviously stronger and ready to fight, Styn's power didn't come with a large amount of spirit pressure. He made no attempt to lock down an enemy with the overwhelming might of his presence.

A single thought sent the pieces of his own flesh to swarm Flow City. He stood in the center of this mass for only a moment before his thousand eyes were out of his immediate view. They moved quickly and with a great degree of precision. Within moments an eye located Reigen and hovered three hundred meters above the area where the Provocateur of 'Want' was on a rampage. It would keep its distance and dodge any attacks aimed its way at shadow movement speeds. This small but visible piece of Styn would arrive about thirty seconds after his entrance into Flow City.

One hundred of his eyes sought out the commanders of this area in every corner of the city. Without waiting for permission they melded with these demons, one eye for each of the Shadow Fall officers. Words were difficult to send over the bond, but Styn concentrated on sending a calming sensation and an urge to stand fast. It would hardly do to lose more lives at this point. Reigen had proved that numbers weren't going to win this battle. It might have been different if it had been a shinigami or human attacker, but this was a Demon and would have access to the Za Koa that smothered this city. Whatever sponsored this particular rampage, it was time to end the loss of Shadow Fall forces.

Five hundred of his remaining eyes spread out to cover almost the entire city in his influence. Almost imperceptible red dust exploded from each of these five hundred orbs. This Za Koa then rushed to infuse every single molecule with his life force. Only the area three hundred meters around Reigen was spared this onslaught. It would be like the city itself was becoming a part of him. This awareness wasn't just for the purpose of information, although that was a handy feature, but by just standing within this affect Styn would be three times stronger then normal.

He fully expected Reigen to oppose this maneuver, but didn't intend to give the gentleman demon the time to do so. He had been in Flow City for less then a minute, his eyes were just that fast. Even as they prepared to claim almost every inch of the city for him Styn stepped into a shadow and pulled himself to Reigen's current location. This was not the sort of direct line of sight movement that was a normal shadow step. Styn actually moved his entire spiritual and physical structure into the shadow realm for a brief moment and rose out of the shadow of Reigen's latest victim.

As the dead body slid onto the ground, casting a shadow onto the cold concrete, a hand thrust up from the blackness and caught the falling demon. This wasn't exactly a slow emergence either, the Demon Knight exploded out of the ground. One moment his Za Koa signature was miles away from Reigen and the next he was standing before the Immoral Dealer. His greeting would be similarly fast, but it would come in the form of actions more so then words. Although there would be brief spoken dialogue if the Provocateur of 'Want' stayed close enough to hear.

At this point his five hundred eyes all over the city began to exert Za Koa's Influence. In addition, the last four hundred that were present at the borders of the three hundred meter radius of Reigen's current location were quick to not only attempt to claim the area for Styn, but to also crush the Immoral Dealer in overlapping Reiatsu Drain fields coming from all directions. These spirit rending projections of invisible force would follow in the wake of the concentrated Za Koa's influence.

Reigen for his part was suddenly confronted with a cold faced Styn pointing both clawed gauntlets forward. From these curled hands twin plumes of Black Inferno Blast lanced outward like curling solar flares. This attack was the quick and weaker version of the technique. As such it charged unbelievably fast and was capable of closing the short distance at shadow movement speed. Like all Black Infero Blasts, the heat was only one expression of this elemental form of corruption. Its true wrath was the after effect. To be inflicted with the parasite of this attack was similar to being bathed in lethal radiation and even a demon as powerful as Reigen would find his physical and spiritual structure attacked.

"Reigen Akogi, It would seem that we meet again," Styn said simply. Introductions at this point were unnecessary. They knew each other, although surely the Immoral Dealer must be doubting his sanity to see what had been such a powerless and weak demon suddenly challenging him. A few months shouldn't have made such a difference in might. In this case however it had. The faster Reigen came to terms, the better his chances of survival.

The meal of the day was certainly rather drab, the taste of pride and anger at the fall of loved ones and those respected in the circles seemed to egg on those who were still fighting the less than good fight.... All that could be heard from above was a sing song tune from the mouth of the Demon that what hanging about that caused all this distress. "49 demons under the floor~ 49 demons around~" As he reached the chorus Reigen was met with another enemy clad in armor only for his head to leave his body via chain decapitation, all with the grace of the Demon finishing off. "Take one down~ Onto the ground~ 48 demons under the floor..." It seemed however that the humdrum boredom that had arose from the lack of a good showing against the demon would seemingly finish soon, he felt it and he could make sense of the taste in the air as someone much more interesting and powerful would most definitely make their presence known to save the plebeian forces that had been trying so hard to even make it up to Reigen in time for their demise. The start of the change would be rather vast, it seemed that whoever this was wanted to gain a greater foothold before making a move, smart to not rush in though timid to not be ready to fight at all times it seemed. Suddenly it was as if the sky had become sentient as eyes from all around began to burst out and take to the skies, though only one was aimed in his position the well-dressed monster could tell that a larger game was being played with the scale of such a strange surveillance system, what a wonder CCTV could do for a city like this, much less eyebally for sure...

What the eye would see when it came to him was a Demon sitting above the remains of many a dead demon with nothing but what seemed to be now a lawn chair and a good book.... He was not taking this with any seriousness as was Reigen usual style... Looking up with his piercing yellow eyes the Well dressed monster would wave what looked like a note to the strange visual preceptor before tucking it away in his jacket once more. Suddenly it was raining eyes.... Not sure if a hallelujah should be involved with such things Reigen kept the notion to himself for a later moment to ponder about...They seeped with what seemed to be a red mist that was snaking its way into the ground to make a greater expansion of territory for the enemy that had yet to make itself known, honestly it was rude to keep him waiting that Reigen just as well would take a complaint to the circles...If he was already slaughtering them all. Though this wasn't all that came out, suddenly another appeared from with a shadow, this was the one who had set out the plan of attack for those around him, the leader and the one who most likely caused the eye explosion... There was no time for any witty banter however, it seemed his enemy was all business... He did hate when the time came and his opponent couldn't lighten up before he smashed them into the ground... Almost took the fun out of it....Almost~

A sudden burst of force would blow outwards as many of the remaining eyes looked to enter in on the position he had made for himself.....Now that would just be foul play...As the organs flew in they would be stopped in their tracks by some unseen force.... Reigen had been experimenting with his chain's power, he noted that he could not stop or take Reiatsu in the literal sense as it was a thing belonging to the spirit of the user... However he could take the entry of something that he did not wish to enter a space, so long as he remained in the area to enslave it he could hinder the entry of something or things depending on their number and this enemy had made it obvious their was more than one eye in the sky tonight, using that knowledge, a lockout was simple~ The eyes would bounce off the screen just about 200 meters wide, he was happy to note that their leavings could not enter also, their status as eyes must have just been intact thankfully. However seemingly the enemy was not done with his attack, he lunged with speed to his target and looked to claw his way into the chest of the Demon of Greed, but that was not all... He launched two Inferno blasts into the body of the Demon. Truly a sight to behold and a clever tact for someone wanting to down their enemy through the poisons such a move brings but this enemy had made the mistake of thinking that his short time in the area, even the seconds he stood here, were anything but expected...

As the attacks would hit the parasites would feel as if being pushed away by something not as of the demon's body, moreover though the flames would wash over him Reigen would stand infront of the other Demon undeterred. "Ah who knew it would be so hot today, feels like the bugs are crawling around in the summer~ Though just saying that move though powerful is an explosion at heart...." Looking at the Demon now his body was seemingly covered barring his eyes in the chain of greed acting as a manner of chainmail against the blast with his finger pointed to the chest of the enemy as he tried to have Reigen recall their last meeting. "Ah yes.... You are...... Sorry who are you? I have so little time and so many people to find and interact with that I can't be expected to know everyone by name or.... Well the face only their mother could love..." Moving his hand closer a point of the chain would swim up from the Demon's chest and to the end of his finger. "Back to subject you should know that in an explosion the flame is only part of the danger...." At that moment a quick and unseeable force of something akin to the opponent's own Black Inferno Blast but seemingly double in the impact and centered right on the tip of the chain directly into the chest of the demon, if the impact would not shock him, it could certainly push him back... "The main danger with a blast is the impact.... Something I've showed you as of now, no need to thank me....Whoever you are~" Still technically insulting perhaps through the ignorance Reigen was not so easily taken down by spells any Demon could throw out...

Red Like Roses... Green Like Greed Empty Re: Red Like Roses... Green Like Greed

Styn couldn't help himself, he laughed. It wasn't a mocking chuckle either. The Demon Knight was just honestly amused by Reigen's running commentary. The Immoral Dealer was a master deceiver so it was impossible for Styn to tell if the older demon was serious or not. Clenching both fists cut off the flow of Za Koa for the moment and Styn's pyrotechnic display ended. This was a momentary measure though, in order to switch to defense at the gathering of Reigen's energy. He was curious to see how long that armor of chains could hold up to a concentrated assault from his elemental corruption though. Even metaphysical structure was vulnerable to his taint.

As the invisible kinetic line of force rushed to impact his chest, the Demon Knight bent his right hand inward, with the back of his fist facing Reigen. Two quick applications of body shaping dealt with the focused blast launched from the tip of Reigen's infamous chain. The first was obvious, as the surface along the back of Styn's right hand hardened and shifted into a small shield. The design was structured to disperse the impact outward to reduce its penetrating power. Even with that precaution Styn still found his forearm pushed tightly against his chest as the attack struck.

The second transformation was far more subtle. With mastery over the racial skills that made up a demon's arsenal came a cellular level control over his physical structure. In less then a second Styn massively increased his physical density, fueling this increase in weight with a flood of Za Koa. Each cell was compressed into something like diamond, but far more resilient. It wasn't just the structural augmentation of his bones. Styn's ligaments, blood, muscles, organs and skin all had substantial density modifications.

The Demon Knight's physical appearance didn't shift, he wasn't any larger. However, the cement cracked under his new weight. Suffice to say he wasn't pushed backwards by the attack. In addition, although obviously heavier he was by no means slower, at the same time he wasn't any stronger. At his current metaphysical level, a shift in physical shape could hardly change Styn's actual statistics. This was a method to avoid being tossed around like a pin ball and little more.

Styn was content with the successful claim of Flow City. Limiting someone of Reigen's caliber to such a small area could only work in his favor. For now the Demon Knight was content to leave his remote organs spaced evenly across the city, if he needed to he could always use Reiatsu Drain on the citizens to replenish his energy reserves. In a very real way he existed in one thousand and one locations all at the same time. The boosted capabilities from being within the sphere of his Za Koa's influence was reduced to about half effectiveness, but Styn was still receiving it.

Lowering his right hand back to his side and transforming the gauntlet back into its original claw shape was another speedy application of Body Manipulation. "Well I suppose I can forgive your forgetfulness Reigen, alot has changed in a few months for me. Still, I hadn't realized you'd gotten so old as to be senile. Styn of Shadow Fall, once more at your service then since you seem to require a reminder. I'd ask what you were thinking to accomplish with such a blatant challenge of our authority, but I suspect you'd only take the chance to make fun of me."

Not that Styn expected to come out ahead in a battle of wits and words. Reigen would laugh at his own execution. In many ways the Demon Knight was a simpler sort of soul. He wasn't even really great at dissembling and his dialogue was really just an excuse to probe at the odd barrier that seemed to prevent the rest of his body from joining the battle properly. It was some sort of metaphysical effect to be sure and Styn wasn't anywhere close to figuring out what it might be. The analytical capability of his ocular power was solely based in perceiving space in a way that assisted with the creation of portals.

It was as though his detached eyes had lost the capability to advance further. They were free to roam all around the space within two hundred meters, but could not advance another inch. The effect was not a barrier, there was no sensation of pushing against something, it was like Styn lacked the will to enter the area with that part of his body. The logic of it escaped him and he couldn't for the life of him figure out any sort of trick. Gathering speed did nothing and grouping the detached eyes was similarly worthless as a tactic.

Well when all else failed there was always brute force. His eyes merely gave him multiple angles to attack from. They still seemed to be able to view the space, and that alone was a powerful advantage. If he wanted a deeper analysis of the feature that was preventing his attack he'd just have to take it. Red mist exploded out of every pore as Styn attempted to exert his influence directly. Pushing from the outside seemed to be failing so instead he'd try to break this egg from the inside.

Reigen would need another trick up his sleeve to stop the more powerful and skilled Styn from just outright taking the final two hundred meters with Za Koa's Influence. The Demon Knight fully intended to keep fighting to do so. This was a direct challenge to the area that the Immoral Dealer had claimed as his own. With the information obtained if successful, Styn was sure that he'd find a way to be reunited with the rest of his body. The full boost of being within the the field would also prove useful.

The initial show of force had been his greeting, now Styn was looking to set the table. Nothing he had seen so far had him concerned. Reigen could joke and pontificate all he wanted, but the days when he could school Styn on the finer points of battle were over. Channeling a Black Inferno Blast's full potential as a kinetic strike was child's play compared to what he could do now. Although still a cluster of half formed and scattered memories, the Demon Knight had literally thousands of years of combined demonic knowledge. He wasn't just strong, but had an instinctual understanding of his infernal power to go with that might.
