Okay, so I can not help but notice the certain parents that are like:
1. "You shouldn't spank your child when they do something bad, there's other ways to discipline them besides using your hand. Such as taking opportunities away or grounding them. Spanking your child for making an error is wrong and can mentally harm them. The child go later grow up not being the adult they could." Or something among those lines.
My viewpoint I feel that at times there are certain kids that think spanking is a game and they laugh at it. (I've met kids like this before. Be in Elementary school and laugh) So of course another form of discipline would be best.
Though there are certain kids that do not learn after certain forms of discipline and for these kids at times spanking seems to be the best option because they sneak out or they get the stuff that was taken away back.
I was partially raised via being spanked but after awhile (like after 3rd/4th grade) I didn't need it, especially since I got the whole very good conscience. (Too good, overactive. Like there's times I feel guilty about telling people off when they do stuff to me.)
EDITED:
Overall I'm not a huge fan of other parents advising others how they should raise their children when they don't know the child well. Like they haven't seen all sides of this child.
And now the replies may begin~
