Rise of the Tyrants [Zombie Burst Mission] Empty Rise of the Tyrants [Zombie Burst Mission]

Fri Jul 11, 2014 3:42 pm
Styn stepped out of a hole in reality, crimson disc of fused demon energy closing shut behind him with a swift whisk of cut air. The Demon Knight stood on the top of a vacant two story building. This particular structure was not recently abandoned though. It was one of the reasons that the meeting had been set up in this location after all. Less of a chance for the chaos that wrapped the city to interfere with hearing the newest information. Oddly enough there didn't seem to be anything nearby at the moment either. For a city supposedly overrun by the living dead it was a tad unsettling.

Styn stood not quite six feet tall, taller then average perhaps, but not in a way that stood out. His medium build accentuated his averageness, he wasn't quite slim, but fell short of heavily muscled. Dark green hair only an inch or so in length, could possibly be a dye job. Pale violet eyes, while a questionable fashion choice, were not outside cosmetic modification. Both ears came to slight point at the apex of their arc, something easily overlooked. His teeth might be a bit sharper then normal for a human, but they retained the same basic shape and placement. The demon's nails also came to a point and were thicker then common, but were by no means long talons or claws. All and all - discounting Za Koa which was naturally suppressed in this base form - Styn would go unremarked in most locations. Unchallenged was another story entirely.

The Knight of the First Circle sported a dark green business suit, almost black outside of direct light. The pale violet tie was clearly meant to bring out his eyes, which were somewhat concealed behind a pair of gunmetal gray glasses with translucent bottom rims. Black dress shoes capped out the attire, with especial detail paid so that the combat boot soles didn't look out of place. Still the effect lacked a certain something. First of all, his white button down shirt was untucked, which his unbuttoned dark green jacket didn't quite conceal. His tie was loosened at least an inch, and cocked slightly to the left. His pants looked a bit rumpled and his shoes were scuffed. In addition his eyes had heavy dark bags under them and his stare was half lidded, giving him the appearance of someone tired or sick.

The junior demon there to meet him tried to look impressed and failed miserably. Styn wasn't known in the greater world as of yet, but Shadow Fall was abuzz with rumors about this young demon. His rise to power was nothing short of miraculous. In a short six months time, he had gone from bottom rung peon to a Demon Lord in his own right. Many of the organization were at a loss on how to deal with the Knight of the First Circle, but respecting his power at least came easy to a group where might often made right. "What's the status of the AWOL Shadow Fall members? And what is this I hear about a plague?" Styn said.

"Right, I'm Bue Anzu, Knight of the Eight Circle. Many of the deserters are scattered throughout the city, but from what we can tell the leadership is holed up in the Town Square area," the junior demon said.

"We've accurately identified the leaders?" Styn interrupted. He actually had known who the demon was. Although junior to him in position now, Bue had served Shadow Fall for years before Styn himself had joined. In fact the demon was at least three decades older then Styn period, although of course being a demon he looked about the same age. One of the many advantages to shape shifting. Handsome enough fellow too, if you're into that sort of thing.

"Well rather then that, it might be better to say that we suspect that the head of this little cabal has situated themselves there, as the Zombies there are stronger then the ones in the surrounding areas," the junior demon hedged.

"Could be a screen to make us think that," Styn was quick to point out.

"Yes, we're working on scenarios that take such possibilities into consideration. If our brain trust comes up with anything we'll be sure to let you know through the standard channels," Bue said with a hint of exasperation in his tone. Clearly, the junior demon didn't appreciate being interrupted in a report he had no doubt rehearsed in his own head before this meeting. No doubt he didn't feel that this mission needed someone of Demon Lord level power either, especially a young upstart like Styn, who didn't seem to know enough to shut the heavens up.

Styn nodded his head and gestured for Bue to continue. "As to your question about the plague. Lately many of the arrancar and demons who have joined this group have been showing signs of increased aggression. We weren't really sure what to make of it, and we still aren't. However, when they came to this city it reached a whole nother level. Not only that, but every human killed has risen up into what I can only call a Zombie. In fact, most of the dead bodies in Area X have also been reanimated by whatever this is."

Styn was fairly familiar with the concept of Zombies, although he was somewhat surprised that Bue was. Styn had spent the bulk of his youth immersing himself in the culture of the twenty first century, a time period he considered very productive for humans. As Bue continued to describe the events that had been occurring in Saburo, Styn was forced to agree with his classification. For some odd reason the creatures were even rotting at an exceptionally fast rate.

Styn wondered if it was possible that their physical mass was somehow being consumed to grant them a greater degree of power then they had ever known in life. Each zombie in this area was reported to being in the tier three and four range, a level of strength that the Demon Knight very much doubted they displayed in life. Still, he had the facts now, at least as far as what was known before he had arrived. Which of course left him to wonder when his Espada backup was going to arrive.

Further thoughts on that particular topic were shelved as he detected a blip of Za Koa that was familiar to him. Turning with a smile Styn spread his arms wide as a petite female flickered onto the building in a cascade of wispy grey smoke. Three other forms moved into a loose sort of formation behind her. This was not the first time that he had the company of this particular grouping of demons, although he hadn't expected to run into them here. "Yoka! What a pleasant surprise."

Time had not been kind to the dark haired demoness. Then again when you were caught red handed disseminating a message of hate to the local populous in an attempt to gain fame and notoriety, bad things tended to happen to you. Styn preferred to look at it like some kind of instant cosmic karma. In this particular situation, he himself had been the hand of the universe at work in Yoko's fate. Styn had personally handed her off to a member of the Espada for rehabilitation. It was missions like that one that gave him the most pride in completion.

Shadow Fall was hardly a 'get in touch with your feelings' organization. But Yoko and her goons had taken that leniency a step too far. Killing of humans might have been forgiven, Anarchy was by its very definition, a government of chaos. Instead, unhappy for years with the merger with the Hollow Queen, the demoness had branched out to include Shadow Fall arrancar in her targets. The mission to subdue her hate society had quickly been written up. That lessening of battle power would not be tolerated.

All of this of course was ancient history, but it did zoom through Styn's mind as he confronted the foursome. There was something knowing in their eyes. None of them would be what he would consider stronger, and yet that confidence was unwavering. They seemed to know something that he did not, and Styn never liked to be without information. Hopefully they wouldn't keep him waiting for much longer, the silence at this point was already somewhat uncomfortable. In fact, two of those goons were looking a bit peaked now that Styn was paying more attention.

With twin roars the thugs charged straight at Styn. They didn't even bother to use Shadow Movement to close the distance. Raising both his hands to point at the charging demons, Styn unleashed twin plumes of Black Inferno Blast. The jets of shadow and Za Koa completely enveloped their forms, and just that quickly cries of rage become those of agony. Clenching both fists closed, Styn cut off the burst of power with a raised eyebrow. Black soot and smoke danced in the air, obscuring his vision of Yoko for a moment.

"The sacrifices are a gathered Toketsu. Crack the gates of hell and unleash your will on this broken city. I have taken the lives of countless innocents to be your clay, collected the freely given souls of your faithful to be your inspiration, and reaped the scorn of a hated foe to be your direction. Forge anew the binding of this cursed flesh!" Yoko screamed, before breaking off in a fit of mad laughter.

That sounded suspiciously like a sacrificial incantation, Styn thought for only a moment before lances of crimson light erupted all over Area X, the abandoned district. The Demon Knight found himself standing in the center of an immense spell circle. The focal points for the monstrosity were all over this part of the Saburo. The amount of time it must have taken would have been astounding. Just how long has she been planning this? Not only that, but how many different configurations must there exist spread throughout the entire city. After all it was hardly guaranteed that I'd come here.

Actually there would be one way to ensure that he showed up in this specific spot, a surefire way to make sure that one Styn would be in the right place at the right time. Turning his head he found a positively unholy hatred blazing in Bue Anzu's eyes. How is it possible that I've made all of these enemies!? I barely even know who this guy is! Styn thought as a frown darkened his features. Yoko for her part seemed content to laugh on into the night, her remaining goon on the other hand looked ready for anything, and Styn hardly wanted to stand still and await whatever this spell was set to do.

Countering it proved futile. This wasn't random demon magic thrown into the air, this spell tapped into a power deeper and more wild then what Yoko should have been able to muster herself. It seemed to even touch on Styn's own essence, but not in a way that drained or injured him. Merely in a fashion that let the Demon Knight feel the unraveling and subsequent binding that was occurring all over Area X. The zombies in this district had been gathering in what had seemed random packs, clustered close together. The report he had received from Bue had said that earlier they had moved with supernatural coordination.

At the moment that Styn had stepped onto the roof of this building, every man woman and child in Area X were already dead and zombified. Now these groupings were falling to the ground and melting into the center of the pillars of infernal radiance. The process was quick. Before Styn could even contemplate his options, the liquified flesh was already reshaping. The transformation was occurring almost as fast as a demon's transition into their true form.

Where one moment there had been several independent swarms, there were now massive collections of fused flesh and bone. These abominations were easily two stories in height, man shaped but almost as wide as they were tall. They were bipedal, with two arms and two legs, although in their twisted flesh you could make out a bits of what they once were. Most importantly they were all tier 1 level creatures and there were plenty of them. What had once been one of the safer zones in this zombie nightmare was now suddenly one of the more dangerous. Great, just what I needed, Zombie Tyrants.

Rise of the Tyrants [Zombie Burst Mission] Empty Re: Rise of the Tyrants [Zombie Burst Mission]

Artist: Iuchi Maiko - Song: Ketsui to Kakugo - Word Count: 3148

Flames driving throughout the entire force of beings that rushes into the hell that opened its gates to the humanity, dead rising from the earth when its soul is gone from the host's body, reincarnated like that of a devil's, certainly, it may be a villainous work running around the city itself that made it seem so villainous that it is hard to believe that it is a work from a single person, but with warriors, soldiers, everyone who decided to cleanse this city of hellish undead with their weapons steps into the battlefield to reclaim the city's peaceful days once again to their hands, that Saburo City, one of the most mysterious district and possibly the core of everything that forced the reincarnations of the undead may possibly lie right in the centre of every phenomena that woke up the dead, that they are both dead, and alive at the same time.

However, there is one person who seems to disapprove this villainous acts, and once said to a man that there is no two villains in this world to become the monster itself, and over this simple statement of his that made the world's ears to be clear to his speech, he became one of the infamous bounties that gives out a rather splendid reward upon his defeat after the raging war with Mana between two monsters, that would pummel himself down to where his position should be, as a human will never be able to fight someone that almost ascended to the level of a demi-god, and clearly, himself is a mortal that can never stand at that level of darkness, simply gulping him down like a glass of water that should be sucked dry. Well, most would start questioning how did he enter Saburo City with the fact that he does not have any supernatural abilities that even the sharpest eye of a man can never detect the very drop of his chi energy, the only supply that allows him to be aware of spiritual beings and performing natural prowess that has a ridiculous amount of strength that even with every strongest beings that conquers the aspect of strength itself, in many ways or two, they can never seem to stand on the league of his strength that reaches the point of 'Infinity', an indefinite amount of power, strength that flows to a single point of his body that can simply allow him to obliterate the face of a single city with a dire costs, but scratching that off, how did he exactly end up here?

Consider that an hour or two again, in Japan, while in his room located in the Karakura Hospital, it was obviously a typical day of an injured person who came back all the way from a Hellish fight with the Demon Queen and required the time to heal himself because of the injuries he had received from his previous fight, giving him a slight edge to his body but certainly that he was almost at a point where he was about to completely heal and be discharged from the hospital after almost a few weeks of staying in the hospital, together with his regenerative capabilities that speeds up the process of healing which made things much simpler and quicker for him to leave the hospital as soon as possible before the medical bills starts to pack up to a point where he wouldn't be able to pay for it. Such occurance just broke out the news of an infested city, full of the walking dead right on the spot when missions began to place out across the entire city, becoming available to whoever's 'interested' to be a part of the four areas that was presented right at it, and the fact? The young figure chose the Area X, a possible place where its roots came about to these walking dead that is roaming around the city and considered to be a rather villainous work to be admired by many who desires to do such feats, but nonetheless, a monster against a monster, would put an end to this apocalypse before it spreads further out from the city and infect even more that is not involved in such situations.

Arriving using the work of his strength and moving by foot, it was not as far as he thought wihout the usage of transportation when it comes to travelling alone, arriving no longer than an hour or so later on his way, shifting and stopping by the welcoming entrance into the Saburo City, to the lands of Area X where the possibilities are many but in reality, luck does not play part in this hell, because a Nightmare is stepping right into the fray.

A tall figure stood in the midst of the city during his approachment into the deeper parts of Area X, the core that reincarnates the dead and makes them walk on its own bidding, to sink their fangs into the human flesh and make them join their ranks of being the living dead. A height of an average japanese male, what really stood out from the thousands of corpses was his bright crimson red hair, reflecting the sunlight wihout a single strand of white hair to even appear on each and every strands of his hair, and somehow, red hair seems to reflect the aggressive nature of the individual as well, but nonetheless, it is a little rare amongst many to have a trait of 'redness' on them. His pair of eyes were bloody red as well, darker in color than his hair, they make quite the appearance itself for being 'red', not to mention for a man in a bartender's clothes, its hard to figure out whether he is a commoner of the city, a bartender from a club or just a civilian with its usual clothings? Who knows, but according to the bounty, whoever seen the bounty that was placed almost across the globe, anyone that sees it can make this individual match with the entire specifications that was written on it, red hair, red eyes, bartender clothes and average figure, the young man was Sou Yuuki, in its alias, called the Nightmare.

Walking across the streets, this crippled young man had an underarm crutch under his right shoulder, syncing with his footsteps as it makes a tapping sound that vibrates across the city to be enough for ears to listen to its sound, attracting a horde of the 'undead' right to his position where he was walking about casually as if this was an ordinary day. Right wrist running with power, the wires was connected right under the wrist itself, to the nerves, veins and muscles which gives a maximum support to allow perception, sight, hearing and so on that was to transfer information for the body to sense. Well then, it was a great time to find the culprit behind the villainous acts, because this was certainly annoying him for someone to try as hard as infecting an entire city, it became hard to understand this person is hiding behind the shadows after performing such acts or done it out of boredom, though who knows?

Sou was rather.. different from how he used to react in these kind of situations, to either break into a sinister laugh or even run a full maniac act on this godforsaken place but all the reactions coming from him is not the struggle of dealing with these undeads, or rather, boredom ensues in this situation, that if any of these 'zombies' had the guts to even approach him within an inch radius from him, a strong force would simply blast them away, and if their physical structure is weak enough, their body would be torn apart from every bits of their flesh to a point where the existence of its limbs would not be there anymore than a pool of its own blood that was ripped apart by the force that his electromagnetic field produced when approached both passively and aggressively, unless he changes the filtering system of the entire field, he can allow certain people to pass through his field, otherwise, these 'undeads' are considered a threat against the Nightmare, hence the filtering system added an extra target to repel the undead beings like flies.

Keeping down the natural pressure of his body, it was to tune down the attention that would be received by anyone specializes in sensing pressure, unless they are in the aspect of being able to sense spiritual pressure only, then this would not be applied to them as the pressure he produces is not spiritual but more 'natural' in nature which utilizes the air pressure to create a 'pressure' that simply mimics a spiritual pressure by shinigamis or spiritual beings, though such only holds the aspect of more natural than supernatural in nature. In any way, it may seem impressive of being able to reincarnate the dead back to life, in exception that their 'self' would not be there anymore, with their souls passing to the afterlife, the reincarnation of their body would either be the corruption of the body's remaining 'lifeforce' where the soul left to the mortal body before it decomposes, but it is just a speculation that it may be another soul residing in such bodies since these beings are not its 'self' anymore by any means of aggressive characteristics and the hunger for living flesh, whether it would be a human or a spiritual being.

"Well, it seems that i am all alone right here and right now. I don't know which shithead thought of this zombie apocalypse thing, but they should know the term of 'too much force' in doing something like this because it is going to be a hassle to clean-up when the officials comes here to quarantine the entire area and haul down any remainings of these undeads that is trying to bite people's heads off like chewing gums. In any rate, i am going to search the entire area and see if there's any suspicious shit going on around the district because i'm getting a bad vibe out of this damned battlefield."

Upon more speculation, what he noticed was an increase in spiritual energy across the area when it was a couple of minutes after he started moving deeper into the cities, before its pulse grew weaker, there was.. a rather odd undeads that began to merge into a bigger form around him, growing much larger in size before more spawned in the area, two stories tall, as wide as they are in height, they are certainly monstrous and powerful by spiritual means, but in its biggest mistakes to ever take, was attacking the Nightmare as soon as they became fused beings, an undead that was absurbly powerful and dangerous, big in size and threatening as well, but when it makes its foward punch right against the Nightmare, it was all but a fault to their own selfish acts to not analyze the situation, that he was no longer who he used to be, and became someone who covered out the openings that was once there, but sealed up when the lesson was learnt, and the zombie tyrants? They were about to taste their own lesson as well.

[ CHANGE SOUNDTRACK ]

The moment their fist, or any part of their limbs decided to impact a full force against his mortal body, what they did not realise is that their movements was entirely halted before it had the time to smash right against his body, that his bloody red eyes makes a short glance at the tyrant before shifting his attention right away at them, his expression had a huge dissatisfaction, annoyed and somehow not even entertained at the slightest. Their actions halted by an invisible force, it was actually a compressed electromagnetic field that he used against Yukuri Iramasha before, which was never seen since then, but upon the discovery of such feats, he decided to use it defensively, that is if his electromagnetic field is too weak to redirect or halt an attack that is approaching him, it uses the method of compression where it gathers the energy of the entire field itself and compressing and strengthening it into a single state of defense, while the electromagnetic field itself is not entirely taken down, in other areas than where the tyrant's attack is halted, the rest of the area is weakened while the compressed point becomes stronger, and seconds later? The tyrant would be blown apart as all that force that the tyrant itself unleashed against him would redirect it back with two times of its actual force, and imploding its entire being from the inside through the use of vibrations.

Though, multiple of them began to approach him as well, that it certainly did give him a hint of surprise to his expression that he thought only one of them made through such an evolve in its power, and surprisingly, it has numerous of them being such powerful in its size and strength, however, when it comes to strength and skill in hand-to-hand combat, they are nothing but ants that should be stomped on by his boot. Coming from different direction, it was to first take off their balance by producing a crushing force injecting from his foot right against the earth which forces the entire earth within 10 mile radius to burst upwards, making a complex pattern to the surface of the earth that was completely obliterated by the force he unleashed from the stomp itself. With their balance thrown off, he would lift his underarm crutch to the air before throwing right towards one of the tyrants, that despite its speed that moving as fast as it seems, even if catched by bare hands or hit by the crutch, it crashes into the victim's body with an unholy force, that the impact was enough to release a powerful shockwave around it and obliterate the upper part of buildings around it with the force to erase an entirety of a mountain, while the tyrant's body would be explode in each and every of his limbs, while its entire body would split into half, including its head before injecting a strong vibration to the outer layer of its skin to rip its remainings apart into a pool of blood that rains down into the earth's surface, and so, it would redirect itself back to Sou due to the opposing momentum when it impacts into the tyrant's body, catching it using a little of strength to cancel its entirety of the force wihout making it explode against him. It is tired in a way of how the entire combat works, that he has no infinite stamina inside of him, but he can last longer than one can think of in a mortal like the Nightmare.

With the other two? His left hand would make a simple swing, which it utilizes the air pressure around his hand, where the natural energy in his hand would explode outwards, creating a non-flammable explosive force that vibrates into his muslces that absorbs the force, before transporting it outwards from the muscles and throughout the outer layer of his skin, and using it like a projectile can be used, it is more to be thrown and shot off like a bullet from his hand which behind it, it wouldn't be as painful as the Annihilator, the crutch itself can do, but its piercing force can simple puncture a hole against the tyrant's chest and make it bleed until it dries out of blood to move anymore. While the other one would be handled physically, blasting himself foward by stomping beneath the earth with a vibrating force and changing the air pressure to mess out the air particles in order to create a pressurized air to blow him foward akin to a shunpo but done physically with calculated force, his left fist would smash itself right against the guts of the last tyrant, holding an enough force to push the entire body of the zombie tyrant miles away, with possibilities of crushing its bones and imploding its organs, there are also chances where its head cannot withstand the sudden change in pressure unleashed right out of his fist to create a powerful impact which results the implosion of the victim's head, but all is based on how durable the zombie tyrant may be.

Landing to the broken earth beneath him after his offensive action was finally done, his expression still held the same thing, the unentertained feeling which he doesn't feel how he used to be, that he takes fun out of this, the Nightmare has lost the ability to even care anymore, that his only goal was to find the root of this, and end it once and for all. Popping his neck as it snaps sideways, it was a tiring warm-up to take against these tyrants, as they may be formidable in its physical structure and shown an increase in power, but if they are going to compare their physical prowess against his, it is nothing but a futile action to dig their own grave right back to where they should end up in. To say, these 'undeads' should be the 'dead' into the earth. Sou is indeed a monster in many ways, enough to disobey the gods themselves, he was to prove that even mortals has their own talents and abilities, even if they have no supernatural abilities to begin with, and such facts are proven to the existence by himself that they can achieve feats like this as well, wihout even requiring spiritual energy, all but natural uses of abilities.

"I wouldn't blame the pitiful little shit that thought up of the idea of reincarnating the dead, but hell if he or she were to do that, they ain't going to rest well to pass on! So, i'll put that bitch to sleep like the rest when i see him or her on the streets because it would be more appropriate for that shithead to say sorry once it goes to the damned hell.."

As short, the true monster and the embodiment of darkness steps right into the fray, as it was time to take down these corpses back to where they came from. The mess is surely big, but someone can fix these as he should approach to the one that reincarnated these mindless beings. He is coming for you, and most likely, rip your head off for being a wanna-be villain to do such useless acts, because if they were to do this, it should be done in the entire continent, not in some puny city that isn't even worth for a villain to take over. How would the game between the reincarnation of the undead and the monster? Well, the only thing that we know that it is going to be some serious destruction.

Rise of the Tyrants [Zombie Burst Mission] Empty Re: Rise of the Tyrants [Zombie Burst Mission]

The sky began to shake and rupture as the Garganta split open showing a single solitary figure. He adorned a white opened overcoat, his bone white grill mask covering his face and his dark purple hair. Grajo Sombra stood with his hands in his pockets overlooking the area of destruction as smoke rose from the ground and flames licked the sky as he could hear the groans and screams of the living... And the undead. "What hell hole is this to create such beings?" His emotionless eyes spoke nothing is distaste as he began walking to descend to the ground below.

He had not expected such destruction from such mindless creatures and in a way they were no better than Demons or Hollows as they devoured and leveled all that stood in their path. He could see the few living people fleeing for their pitiful lives, falling to the ground in fear as the undead fell upon them live wolves to a carcass, blood coloring the streets like a new form of art.

What could have possibly caused such madness? A rogue Demon was his best guess. He had not meet any before but he had heard of their blood lust and destruction from the depths of Hueco Mundo and now he knew that he was witnessing their will first hand. "Just couldn't help but fuck everything else up huh?" He chided as he reached a flat rooftop that he assumed was once living accommodation but now was naught but rubble and horrified screams; "I wish they would stop. I can't think." He muttered in irritation before looking across to spot an individual being set upon by several others. The gentleman in question appeared to be wearing a suit and his spiritual pressure... A Demon? Was he the one that had caused all of this?

Grajo narrowed his eyes as he used Sonido to jump from building to building before landing on the corner edge of the same building as the tail of his coat blew in the wind as he stared at the young Demon; "You seem to be having some trouble..." His voice echoed as he looked across at the... Thing... That was now slowly lumbering its way towards the duo. He looked at the tired faced Demon for a moment; "I don't suppose I can trust you can I?" His voice was almost mocking as he was unsure what this being was doing here.

Rise of the Tyrants [Zombie Burst Mission] Empty Re: Rise of the Tyrants [Zombie Burst Mission]

Mon Jul 21, 2014 7:35 pm
Having wasted enough time watching this side show come to full fruition, Styn spent not a moment more in blank stillness. Lifting his hands up once again, he sent two more stabbing plumes of Black Inferno Blast rushing forward to consume Yoka. The twin gouts of flame bent around the demoness as she advanced with casually disdainful steps. Frowning at the unexpected result he turned up the heat, powering as much Za Koa as he could in his restricted form. The full strength of a tier two demon was still not enough to break through her barrier though.

At this point Yoka reached her downed companions. They had been killed in the incantation, although that had not been Styn's intention. The Black Inferno Blast should have been enough to take them out of the fight and rob them of the ability to recover in the short term. He had been very specific in the amount of force he had used to immolate them. Still, done was done and Styn cast aside his Cloak of Shadows, fully unleashing his Za Koa on the kneeling demoness.

The steady flame immediately began to grow hotter and more chaotic. Tendrils of flame lashed the air and rooftop like whips, ripping up chunks of cement. However, instead of hearing the twisted screams of his victim Styn heard Yoka laughing once again. The shield had shattered and both her form and those of her downed demon allies were completely enveloped in fire now. The two bodies turned to ash in seconds, but Yoka was not burning. After a few seconds he started to feel an oddity.

From his position on the roof he turned his head and noticed a lumbering Zombie Tyrant making its way down the street. Its entire structure was set alight with the twisted flames of Black Inferno Blast. It was moving slowly forward hand outstretched as if to grasp at Styn, even though it was still a block away. Even more strange, the power signature for that particular attack was Styn's own. And here I thought for a moment that I might have an actual ally in this clusterfuck. At least that explains her confident attitude.

The Demon Knight clenched his fists, cutting off the flow of Za Koa and stopping his assault. Almost instantly the fire that was consuming the Tyrant stopped as well. Turning back toward Yoka Styn cocked his head to the side. "Nice trick you have there, but you're still a weakling. You've got a great setup for not dying but what exactly is the plan for winning?" Styn mocked. He didn't even bother keeping his eye on Bue during this exchange, the Eighth Circle demon was of little threat at the moment and hadn't budged since the ritual started.

Whatever Yoka would have said was interrupted by ten miles of the district becoming little more then rubble. Buildings didn't do so well when moved even a small amount after all. The shock waves from the impact rocked even the structure that Styn stood on. All eyes were suddenly focused to the south. This wasn't exactly a large part of the city, about half of Area X was now in a state of collapsing. The most frighting thing though was that Styn hadn't sensed a single thing, not even a blip on his radar. He had gotten a bit better at feeling out reiatsu lately too.

"That...that's impossible," Yoka said, her manic laughter finally stopping.

"High speed frequency projection through oscillating kinetic force," Styn spat as the reality of his deteriorating situation crashed home. "That's not impossible, its Sou damn Yuuki." There really was no other explanation for that level of raw destruction with a complete absence of spiritual pressure. Although what one of Shadow Falls most wanted was doing in this abandoned part of an unimportant human city was anyone's guess.

His statement didn't garner a similar reaction for Yoka though. Her mouth widened into a positively predatory smile. "Sou Yuuki? This must be my lucky day. You'll have to forgive me Styn, but I've got a bounty to collect." Suiting actions to words the woman moved in a blur of Shadow Movement. Styn would have loved to follow, but that one Tyrant hadn't been the only one to have been making its way toward his location. First he'd have to deal with the mass of super sized zombies rushing toward the building he currently occupied.

For his opening act Styn shifted into his true form. This transformation consolidated his power instead of expanding it. The concentration and density of his physical structure was roughly the same, with a few distinct differences. From finger tip to elbow his arms were now encased in a thick bone white mass. It was as if his hands were now the claws of a beast at least three times his size. They were still five fingered, and smooth across the top, however the underside of every digit was now razor sharp. At the elbow, extending out like short swords, were two double edged bone white blades, one for each arm. The tips of those edges would just barely pass his shoulder blades if his arm was fully extended.

Gauntlets were only part of the new look. His legs from knee to toe were also encased in thickened, claw tipped grieves. In addition, across the knees were studded spikes, needle sharp, but blade thick. The thin strands of his hair warped and locked into rows of hooked barbs, although the hair at least maintained its green coloring. As his glasses dissolved into his face, the final transition would be the opening of this third eye. This last obvious marker was accompanied by ninety-nine other eyes forming all over his body, although these were mostly hidden by his clothes. The change in his energy would be equivalent to a Shinigami's Shikai.

The entire process was less then a second to enact and Styn was already moving into the second stage of his defense. An instant of will triggered the special sigils on his feet and legs to flood his core with power. The Za Koa he held was pushed into overdrive as each symbol on the demon's body began to glow into the visible spectrum. Even the bone white gauntlets and leggins that appeared in his true form had a spattering of infernal red tattoos. The glow was hardly steady. Instead, it was the wild fluctuation of Shadow Burst, symbols pulsing rapidly. Styn was immediately three times stronger and would remain as such until the end of the boost.

Suddenly, he felt like someone had hit the slow button on reality. Even the closest Tyrants seemed to be moving in at a sluggish pace to his eyes. It was time to balance the numbers. One of Styn's favorite demon spells would do nicely in the current situation. Centering his focus, the Demon Knight reached out toward a familiar shape, molding the massive amount of power supplied by Shadow Burst to unleash the incantation's full potential.

The form that he imagined was a structure he saw and dealt with on a regular basis. Recent incursions into the human realm had given him several interesting ideas to implement though. "Awaken the shadow within me, mend them new flesh and unleash them upon the world, Za Koa." Styn said. Power spiked and then left the clawed demon in a rush. Shadows began to form all around him, the new vessels for the flood of Za Koa. Where once there was nothing, there was suddenly an undeniable set of solidity.

The creatures were squat and ugly beasts, barely four feet tall, with pale yellow hide. They were hairy things, with black coarse bristles poking out of their heads, across their naked chests, and on their arms. They were completely unclothed, although their entire lower body was arachnid in design. However, where a spider had eight limbs these creatures only had four spider like appendages. Long pointed ears sloped backward against their wrinkled faces which clung tightly to black fedoras. The minions had sharp teeth and their noses were little more then reptile slits. Their eyes were likewise short gashes, and shone with infernal red glimmers. Instead of forearms and hands, the creatures' arms ended in long curved blades.

There were forty five of them in total. Normally such a summoning would drain him enough to make further actions exhausting. However, Shadow Burst made up the difference in latent energy with raw, barely focused power. As such he was able to create his maximum load with little long term impact on his energy. Styn barely felt winded, it was as if he had only created the recommended fraction. Not only that, but his Shadow Burst wasn't even depleted. He had grown much over the course of his recent missions and could now maintain the state much longer then before.

Although smaller then the Tyrants they rushed to intercept, they were markedly stronger, being in the 0 tier class with Styn. With the Tyrant's raw size and toughness, the Demon Knight estimated that it would take several minutes for his creations to emerge victorious. He was not actually worried about their odds though. In fact he had several new enhancements that would make the ensuing battle even easier. Such things would have to wait though, because it seemed as though his Espada backup had finally arrived.

Styn hadn't heard much about Grajo Sombra and to be honest he was less then impressed with the arrancar's level of power. Then again this had been expected to be an open and shut mission, a good chance for the Demon Knight to evaluate the relative newbie. Like most of the Espada Grajo no doubt barely considered himself part of Shadow Fall at all. The Hollow Queen certainly had her work cut out in motivating her assembled forces to be sure. Still, Styn had it on good authority that Rose Mischevang was taking a person interest in the Sexta Espada, so he'd make an especial effort to be courteous. Not that he normally found basic politeness much of a strain.

The Demon Knight wasn't really bothered that Grajo didn't seem to know who he was. From his experience, despite having access to the almost unlimited information that was constantly being acquired, many in Shadow Fall didn't bother reading the reports. As per norm Grajo also seemed to lack trust in this truly chaotic situation, not necessarily surprising. The fact remained that this wasn't just a demon problem though. Arrancar had also been effected by this strange affliction and Styn was sure that Grajo was just as interested in finding out what was behind this thing as he was.

Bue took this moment to try and escape, most likely thinking that Styn was too distracted to counter his crude Kage Chokyo-shi. There were probably few demons that would be able to use such a maneuver against Styn. With a negligent flick of his clawed right hand the Demon Knight crafted a portal of his own in the same space that Bue was attempting to manipulate. This caused the weaker demon's rip to destabilize in a flash of crimson light that had Bue throwing up his hands to shield against.

"Styn of Shadow Fall," Styn said turning to bestow an acknowledging nod toward Grajo. "As far as trusting me...well I think that no matter what I say you should trust yourself first and take everything I have to say with a bit of doubt. As I think you're aware, demonkind's alliance with the hollows is not exactly based on blind faith and open arms. Welcome to the mad house."

Failing to port out, Bue did the next best thing and began to flee the scene in rapid applications of Shadow Movement. Styn turned back toward the demon and arched an eyebrow. Between Yoka and the Tyrants he'd really rather not have to also chase the traitor down. Not only that but now that he thought about it, Bue most likely had much of the information that Grajo would find useful. Pointing a clawed digit Styn shifted his gaze once more toward the arrancar.

"That guy has a bunch of information. His name is Bue Anzu and he's a traitor to Shadow Fall if you didn't get that from his actions. He was just telling me about the situation, albeit he left out the part where this was also a ploy to ambush me. Still, you don't crawl into bed with strangers. I'm sure he knows about this infection that has effected Demons, Arrancar, and resulted in reanimated humans. No need to be gentle, but it might be a good idea to catch him alive."

"I know this isn't what you were expecting, but it seems that this battle just got personal a moment ago. I need to not only clean up the mess that is a flawed assassination attempt, but in case you missed half of the district getting demolished we have company in the form of one Sou Yuuki. My creatures should keep the Tyrants in check for now, but you might want to stay away once you've beaten down Bue. If you choose to do so that is."

He had his own target to run down. Styn would hang out long enough to answer any brief questions the Espada might have, but as he was working on borrowed time he'd also be quick to cut Grajo off if he failed to stay on task. The Demon Knight was hardly in a position to be giving orders and wouldn't take any position of authority over the arrancar. His suggestions were just that, simple suggestions. If Grajo decided to go his own way, stick with Styn, or just bail on the entire situation Styn wouldn't move to hamper him.

Either way he moved to follow Yoka. The one hundred eyes all over his form pushed outward as he sought out her chaotic spirit pressure. Once separated from his body they rapidly multiplied tenfold, filling the air with one thousand quarter sized spheres. Neural pathways normally dormant came to blazing life within Styn's mind. His brain capacity dramatically increased to deal with the sudden sensory overload. There was a moment of disorientation which quickly passed. The Demon Knight's Za Koa signature increased in magnitude to be comparable to that of a Shinigami's Bankai. Yoka would find herself hard pressed to stay hidden from his gaze.

Whatever she had done with that spell had linked her in some way to the Zombies in Area X. He wasn't sure what effect destroying the Tryants would have, so for now he was commanding his minions to just try to hold them back, instead of outright obliterating them. Styn was also sure that Sou would hardly feel the need to restrain himself in a similar manner. It was something he rarely did from what the information about the boy said. Not only that, but the volatile human now had a large amount of Za Koa moving in his direction, hopefully he didn't over react and destroy the rest of Area X.

The much smaller concentration of Za Koa touched down at the end of the street that Sou was currently traveling down. The slim and pretty form of Yoka looked the tall human up and down. "Well what do you know Styn was right after all. Hello there Sou, fancy meeting you here. I'm afraid to say that you'll have to come with me, the price on your head will go far toward advancing the next stage of my plan." Her voice became little girl soft and playful. "I hope you'll forgive me?"

The demoness would hardly be a threat to Sou, registering as only a bit stronger then the Tyrants he had already so easily dispatched. However, as before with Styn, any force that touched her flesh would be transported to inflict the nearest zombie. In addition, the more zombies that were slain, the stronger she would become, until her strikes finally had the ability to actually harm the powerful human. For the moment she was content to bait him into an attack, relishing her own quasi immortality.

Rise of the Tyrants [Zombie Burst Mission] Empty Re: Rise of the Tyrants [Zombie Burst Mission]

Artist: Iuchi Maiko - Song: Saikyou no Nanori - Word Count: 2403

There was only one thing that the Nightmare despise the most, aside from people who seems to be.. a little full of themselves of doing the bad deeds, something they call it 'evil' and 'villainous', that in the end, they get pummeled down by another person for it, and that is not very tough at a level. What it can be described is none other than the level of stupidity he can see in front of him, having a good daydreaming that they could fight someone who had more experience with many kinds, with a throughout calculation on their capabilities that it gave him a little bit a sacrifice on his body to take risks and shots right at it to acknowledge what's before him. And such things, just happened right before his eyes where it was so much of an issue that it became something very hard to describe about it.

Balancing himself to a standing figure with the underarm crutch in the midst of the broken battlefield that he took destruction on, it was made obvious when a pulse of spiritual energy made its way at him after he started to take a few steps away from the destruction he made so gracefully with his fist, and a woman, was idiotically, in a way, standing right before him. So little to describe how she looks like in detail, all he made was a single glance at her wihout much reaction under her claim in getting the bounty out of his head, that he had seen more than a dozen people making that pathetic claim before they had their brains blown apart and bones shattered by his bare hands under the strong force of his strength. But her? Well, it would be a waste of his own sweet time, but there won't be any room to underestimate her since there may be a little too much of a skill behind her abilities as of now, and to give himself a good time, there was only a short chit-chat before he broke into a grin, with his eyes gazing right at Yoka with nothing but curiousity

"Oh? A brat appears and randomly issuing her challenge against me like some mighty beast. Interesting! Let's put a villain like you to a test whether you're worthy to take a step against me like what you've said!"

Force? He doesn't need any of those. With pressure suddenly building up around him, there was never a sign of his device being activated, that he wouldn't need to rely on it too much anymore and just deal with it by attacking her mentally with a crushing pressure of his. Unlike those who either encountered him directly or indirectly before, or to those that only heard descriptions and rumors of him, he was nowhere that fit into the level of how he used to be, and those wiped out weaknesses turned him stronger, more fearsome than the devil itself, that the pressure around him rose up in a level where it soon became a visible pressure that blasted upon the skies and outwards to miles and miles away, to a point where most of the Saburo City can feel the terrifying pressure blasting right out of his mortal structure that simply stands out from the thousands of buildings and the entirety of the tyrants combined. Beneath that pressure stands nothing more than the Nightmare itself by the roaring pressure that can make even the mightiest warrior to tremble against the terrifying power of his, that it is not easy to get everything of his perspective to be changed completely after the loss of his battle, and all of this, is just the beginning to be the light itself and become the so-called 'justice'.

His immediate rise in power would make a view against him as nothing more than a wild beast on the run, tamed against its own natures, inside of that chaotic pressure stands the Nightmare, covered by nothing but the darkness created by the thick pressure unleashed from his own body, that it would've become hard for a man or woman to judge whether he is either the spawn of the devil itself or just a monster that is roaming the streets to rip out the guts of whoever that dares to oppose aginst his advancements to gain more power. And this woman's claim, is nothing more than a slideshow to ring his ears and hear that pathetic sound roar throughout the streets of the walking dead. His blood red eyes shone through the intense pressure blasting outwards and reaching its level of intensity to a whole new level, throughout the most parts of the city like never before, much like a shinigami releasing their bankai or shikokai at full power which was enough to send even beings in their released state in fear against the Nightmare that was nowhere using even tenth in a hundredth of his strength nor was the activation of the device ever involved, if that is how it has to be ranged in power itself. His figure within the overwhelming pressure he created by the increasing power that he tapped from his body turned his entire appearance into a shadowy figure, moving through each step that creates a light wind that blows outwards from the bottom of his feet, before walking closer with his expressionless figure, a face wihout any proper amusement or interest to run through words anymore, as this was nothing but a child's play to encounter this everyday.

It makes it clear that there was no standing and glaring at each other, with a moment of stomp executed as an action from his body, Sou injected a little energy from his body which created a vibrating shockwave that blasted inwards beneath the earth they were standing on, before taking its toll for its energy to explode under a compressed space and burst upwards, depending on the situation, the woman, Yoka, may get a small scratch from this small outburst created from a mere stomp of his, with only the use of blasting both of them up in the air. Though, this is not done purposely as made for information gathering, all are thanks to the I.E.B.N device, or for short, the International Electronic Brace Network, that works out most of the calculations and run through his brain to keep that information for use in the executions of his attacks, giving him a rather surprising advantage when it comes to unstoppable attacks, that not everything is not created from the essence of life and proper calculation to create its existence.

However, that was not all he would 'gift' this young challenger for, without the need of time to waste in this battlefield, it was about the time to show her the true nature of the nightmare itself, one who crossed the flames of hell and moved out of the death's way. It was too early for his death to come and pick up his soul like some pizza delivery that was about to be prepared, that if she is going to take his head to gain the reward that the bounty set up against him, she was a million years too early to make that attempt if she were to deal with the reckoned force that can simply crush the ribs of his enemies and make them shudder in fear within their very nests. Making a step foward with his left foot, before making another tap with his crutch, the Nightmare slowly advances against the likes of Yoka with his almost-devillish figure akin to the demon that rode all the way from hell, more menacing as the description would've described, he is no ordinary human that runs off the streets and rampage against whoever he sees, just like a changed man would after his defeat, that was more than a lesson learnt because of his selfish and weak-will that finally found himself a good reason and a goal to move foward.

Expressing an annoyance against this battlefield, his sharp stare makes its stab against the likes of the female, before making a statement with a rather.. fierce tone in a way of how he wanted to crush her with his bare hands so badly, but taking the fact that he could care less about this kind of stuff, Sou considered that he should make a short note against the being's actions before she receives a full aggressive attack against her, something that she won't forget in awhile. "Yeah yeah, i'd guess what you were about to tell me. Getting my head, getting the money, receiving more power, i'm already tired hearing those bullshit claims from a brat like you. Just to think about it makes me feel sick with the need to vomit, and from you? Really, an utter annoyance where i can't describe with more than just a few words that you are nowhere different from all of the shitheads that i've fought that was too much of a nonsense about 'taking my bounty'. If you're going to issue a challenge, make sure that you ain't picking the wrong guy."

With a stomp, the atmosphere quickly changed its pressure around him, where on the bottom of his feet, he creates a blast of air pressure where the compression would crush the pressure to a level so great that it blasts him foward like a bullet moving at the speed of sound itself, with his body being able to handle pressure like these due to his accustomization against his own bodily pressure and vibrations produced from his very own body that made him rather resistant even against those who holds much more power that he does, that it takes a lot more than just pressure to keep him down. His figure would make a flash of appearance before the eyes of the female, soaring tall against her height, his fist made its approachment, only to realise that was not an ordinary punch like anything else he used to throw around against his opponent, that it turned into nothing more than a package of surprises from his bare fists that made its way to the level of pops.

Heat would build up each and every bit of her flesh when his fist made contact with full force, indeed that she can redirect 'any force' when it comes contact against her flesh, but wihout first realizing that ability of hers at firsthand, the fight was already at checkmate beforehand as since heat is not a 'force', rather the changes of heat in the air particles and the friction created between her skin and the air itself that increases the heat. The heat quickly built at an exaggerating rate, not more than a second before it erupted into flames that would burn away her flesh and bones, sucking her blood dry by the fiery flames that made its way to eradicate her existence entirely. However, the eruption of these flames are not simply catching her body on fire, but instead, the friction just keeps on expanding outwards, and if Yoka redirected the force of his punch, all she could was to further induce the friction and expand the combustion radius that forces the flames to erupt larger in radius, bursting into flames and scorching the entire battlefield in the 'sea of flames'.

How Yoka would unable to defend herself against the combustion of flames was simple enough to make a small statement. Focused in the redirection of force, her body combusted during the process of calculation and the execution of the ability, that her ability requires a time interval between the two processes in order to redirect a certain force that crosses against the field produced to her very skin that protects her from dangerous attacks like Cero Oscuras or so which would turn off its focus against the other attacks that may impact almost, at least a second apart before the force is redirected, to bypass the so-called 'ability' to leave a mark against her, but all that time interval was all that made the sense where the combustion was made effective into burning her body like a barbeque, making her suffer in the fullest of ways and eradicated from the face of existence itself, and another given fact? That heat is not considered a 'force' but more of changes in states of matter and possible chemical changes under the influence of friction that produces heat, and combustion that brings together by the heat makes it more obvious that before she can throw off the damage to another being, she would be caught on fire before any defensive measures can be taken against it, even if it is just a second.

Scorching flames across the entire broken battlefield caused by his own ability to produce them through the use of friction, it seems that the Nightmare always had something up his sleeves when it comes to strategically execute these abilities as much as he wills to as long as all the calculations are done and actions that required to execute such ability is correct the way he predicted it through mathematical equations for it. Standing within the scorching flames, his standing figure stood like an unfazed being by the flames he created with his bare hands, only to make no expression across his face as he awaited for the female to stand back up, because he knows that someone as cocky as her wouldn't back down too easily by the ability he used to fashionably with all the calculation he made. Turning his back as he moved out from the scorching flames, tapping sound was clear for the ears to ring by the crutch he is using all along, and never seem to make it into action since it was unnecessary for someone as weak as she was, not up to his standards of combat, it was most likely that he wouldn't need to use much of an effort to deal with her if Yoka found a way to deal with him or his actions are being rendered futile.

His fierce tone soon echoed throughout the city with annoyance, only to shout out a certain person's 'name', as it seems of a demon, Sou seems to make no hesitation to do so after knowing the demon's presence, namely Styn, who followed this female if he had to guess it, for quite some time. "Come out if you could, demon. It ain't classy to stalk someone and hide in the shadows like some cat crawling into a cat litter. If you want to pick up her corpse, please do so, because i am tired of dealing with this cocky brat."

Stepping away from the destruction, he was about to dwell deeper into Area X, hopefully get into the core of everything that is happening in the likes of the Saburo City and end it once and for all with his bare hands.
