Rise of the Tyrants [Zombie Burst Mission]
Fri Jul 11, 2014 3:42 pm
Styn stepped out of a hole in reality, crimson disc of fused demon energy closing shut behind him with a swift whisk of cut air. The Demon Knight stood on the top of a vacant two story building. This particular structure was not recently abandoned though. It was one of the reasons that the meeting had been set up in this location after all. Less of a chance for the chaos that wrapped the city to interfere with hearing the newest information. Oddly enough there didn't seem to be anything nearby at the moment either. For a city supposedly overrun by the living dead it was a tad unsettling.
Styn stood not quite six feet tall, taller then average perhaps, but not in a way that stood out. His medium build accentuated his averageness, he wasn't quite slim, but fell short of heavily muscled. Dark green hair only an inch or so in length, could possibly be a dye job. Pale violet eyes, while a questionable fashion choice, were not outside cosmetic modification. Both ears came to slight point at the apex of their arc, something easily overlooked. His teeth might be a bit sharper then normal for a human, but they retained the same basic shape and placement. The demon's nails also came to a point and were thicker then common, but were by no means long talons or claws. All and all - discounting Za Koa which was naturally suppressed in this base form - Styn would go unremarked in most locations. Unchallenged was another story entirely.
The Knight of the First Circle sported a dark green business suit, almost black outside of direct light. The pale violet tie was clearly meant to bring out his eyes, which were somewhat concealed behind a pair of gunmetal gray glasses with translucent bottom rims. Black dress shoes capped out the attire, with especial detail paid so that the combat boot soles didn't look out of place. Still the effect lacked a certain something. First of all, his white button down shirt was untucked, which his unbuttoned dark green jacket didn't quite conceal. His tie was loosened at least an inch, and cocked slightly to the left. His pants looked a bit rumpled and his shoes were scuffed. In addition his eyes had heavy dark bags under them and his stare was half lidded, giving him the appearance of someone tired or sick.
The junior demon there to meet him tried to look impressed and failed miserably. Styn wasn't known in the greater world as of yet, but Shadow Fall was abuzz with rumors about this young demon. His rise to power was nothing short of miraculous. In a short six months time, he had gone from bottom rung peon to a Demon Lord in his own right. Many of the organization were at a loss on how to deal with the Knight of the First Circle, but respecting his power at least came easy to a group where might often made right. "What's the status of the AWOL Shadow Fall members? And what is this I hear about a plague?" Styn said.
"Right, I'm Bue Anzu, Knight of the Eight Circle. Many of the deserters are scattered throughout the city, but from what we can tell the leadership is holed up in the Town Square area," the junior demon said.
"We've accurately identified the leaders?" Styn interrupted. He actually had known who the demon was. Although junior to him in position now, Bue had served Shadow Fall for years before Styn himself had joined. In fact the demon was at least three decades older then Styn period, although of course being a demon he looked about the same age. One of the many advantages to shape shifting. Handsome enough fellow too, if you're into that sort of thing.
"Well rather then that, it might be better to say that we suspect that the head of this little cabal has situated themselves there, as the Zombies there are stronger then the ones in the surrounding areas," the junior demon hedged.
"Could be a screen to make us think that," Styn was quick to point out.
"Yes, we're working on scenarios that take such possibilities into consideration. If our brain trust comes up with anything we'll be sure to let you know through the standard channels," Bue said with a hint of exasperation in his tone. Clearly, the junior demon didn't appreciate being interrupted in a report he had no doubt rehearsed in his own head before this meeting. No doubt he didn't feel that this mission needed someone of Demon Lord level power either, especially a young upstart like Styn, who didn't seem to know enough to shut the heavens up.
Styn nodded his head and gestured for Bue to continue. "As to your question about the plague. Lately many of the arrancar and demons who have joined this group have been showing signs of increased aggression. We weren't really sure what to make of it, and we still aren't. However, when they came to this city it reached a whole nother level. Not only that, but every human killed has risen up into what I can only call a Zombie. In fact, most of the dead bodies in Area X have also been reanimated by whatever this is."
Styn was fairly familiar with the concept of Zombies, although he was somewhat surprised that Bue was. Styn had spent the bulk of his youth immersing himself in the culture of the twenty first century, a time period he considered very productive for humans. As Bue continued to describe the events that had been occurring in Saburo, Styn was forced to agree with his classification. For some odd reason the creatures were even rotting at an exceptionally fast rate.
Styn wondered if it was possible that their physical mass was somehow being consumed to grant them a greater degree of power then they had ever known in life. Each zombie in this area was reported to being in the tier three and four range, a level of strength that the Demon Knight very much doubted they displayed in life. Still, he had the facts now, at least as far as what was known before he had arrived. Which of course left him to wonder when his Espada backup was going to arrive.
Further thoughts on that particular topic were shelved as he detected a blip of Za Koa that was familiar to him. Turning with a smile Styn spread his arms wide as a petite female flickered onto the building in a cascade of wispy grey smoke. Three other forms moved into a loose sort of formation behind her. This was not the first time that he had the company of this particular grouping of demons, although he hadn't expected to run into them here. "Yoka! What a pleasant surprise."
Time had not been kind to the dark haired demoness. Then again when you were caught red handed disseminating a message of hate to the local populous in an attempt to gain fame and notoriety, bad things tended to happen to you. Styn preferred to look at it like some kind of instant cosmic karma. In this particular situation, he himself had been the hand of the universe at work in Yoko's fate. Styn had personally handed her off to a member of the Espada for rehabilitation. It was missions like that one that gave him the most pride in completion.
Shadow Fall was hardly a 'get in touch with your feelings' organization. But Yoko and her goons had taken that leniency a step too far. Killing of humans might have been forgiven, Anarchy was by its very definition, a government of chaos. Instead, unhappy for years with the merger with the Hollow Queen, the demoness had branched out to include Shadow Fall arrancar in her targets. The mission to subdue her hate society had quickly been written up. That lessening of battle power would not be tolerated.
All of this of course was ancient history, but it did zoom through Styn's mind as he confronted the foursome. There was something knowing in their eyes. None of them would be what he would consider stronger, and yet that confidence was unwavering. They seemed to know something that he did not, and Styn never liked to be without information. Hopefully they wouldn't keep him waiting for much longer, the silence at this point was already somewhat uncomfortable. In fact, two of those goons were looking a bit peaked now that Styn was paying more attention.
With twin roars the thugs charged straight at Styn. They didn't even bother to use Shadow Movement to close the distance. Raising both his hands to point at the charging demons, Styn unleashed twin plumes of Black Inferno Blast. The jets of shadow and Za Koa completely enveloped their forms, and just that quickly cries of rage become those of agony. Clenching both fists closed, Styn cut off the burst of power with a raised eyebrow. Black soot and smoke danced in the air, obscuring his vision of Yoko for a moment.
"The sacrifices are a gathered Toketsu. Crack the gates of hell and unleash your will on this broken city. I have taken the lives of countless innocents to be your clay, collected the freely given souls of your faithful to be your inspiration, and reaped the scorn of a hated foe to be your direction. Forge anew the binding of this cursed flesh!" Yoko screamed, before breaking off in a fit of mad laughter.
That sounded suspiciously like a sacrificial incantation, Styn thought for only a moment before lances of crimson light erupted all over Area X, the abandoned district. The Demon Knight found himself standing in the center of an immense spell circle. The focal points for the monstrosity were all over this part of the Saburo. The amount of time it must have taken would have been astounding. Just how long has she been planning this? Not only that, but how many different configurations must there exist spread throughout the entire city. After all it was hardly guaranteed that I'd come here.
Actually there would be one way to ensure that he showed up in this specific spot, a surefire way to make sure that one Styn would be in the right place at the right time. Turning his head he found a positively unholy hatred blazing in Bue Anzu's eyes. How is it possible that I've made all of these enemies!? I barely even know who this guy is! Styn thought as a frown darkened his features. Yoko for her part seemed content to laugh on into the night, her remaining goon on the other hand looked ready for anything, and Styn hardly wanted to stand still and await whatever this spell was set to do.
Countering it proved futile. This wasn't random demon magic thrown into the air, this spell tapped into a power deeper and more wild then what Yoko should have been able to muster herself. It seemed to even touch on Styn's own essence, but not in a way that drained or injured him. Merely in a fashion that let the Demon Knight feel the unraveling and subsequent binding that was occurring all over Area X. The zombies in this district had been gathering in what had seemed random packs, clustered close together. The report he had received from Bue had said that earlier they had moved with supernatural coordination.
At the moment that Styn had stepped onto the roof of this building, every man woman and child in Area X were already dead and zombified. Now these groupings were falling to the ground and melting into the center of the pillars of infernal radiance. The process was quick. Before Styn could even contemplate his options, the liquified flesh was already reshaping. The transformation was occurring almost as fast as a demon's transition into their true form.
Where one moment there had been several independent swarms, there were now massive collections of fused flesh and bone. These abominations were easily two stories in height, man shaped but almost as wide as they were tall. They were bipedal, with two arms and two legs, although in their twisted flesh you could make out a bits of what they once were. Most importantly they were all tier 1 level creatures and there were plenty of them. What had once been one of the safer zones in this zombie nightmare was now suddenly one of the more dangerous. Great, just what I needed, Zombie Tyrants.

Re: Rise of the Tyrants [Zombie Burst Mission]
Sat Jul 12, 2014 4:16 am
Artist: Iuchi Maiko - Song: Ketsui to Kakugo - Word Count: 3148
Flames driving throughout the entire force of beings that rushes into the hell that opened its gates to the humanity, dead rising from the earth when its soul is gone from the host's body, reincarnated like that of a devil's, certainly, it may be a villainous work running around the city itself that made it seem so villainous that it is hard to believe that it is a work from a single person, but with warriors, soldiers, everyone who decided to cleanse this city of hellish undead with their weapons steps into the battlefield to reclaim the city's peaceful days once again to their hands, that Saburo City, one of the most mysterious district and possibly the core of everything that forced the reincarnations of the undead may possibly lie right in the centre of every phenomena that woke up the dead, that they are both dead, and alive at the same time.
However, there is one person who seems to disapprove this villainous acts, and once said to a man that there is no two villains in this world to become the monster itself, and over this simple statement of his that made the world's ears to be clear to his speech, he became one of the infamous bounties that gives out a rather splendid reward upon his defeat after the raging war with Mana between two monsters, that would pummel himself down to where his position should be, as a human will never be able to fight someone that almost ascended to the level of a demi-god, and clearly, himself is a mortal that can never stand at that level of darkness, simply gulping him down like a glass of water that should be sucked dry. Well, most would start questioning how did he enter Saburo City with the fact that he does not have any supernatural abilities that even the sharpest eye of a man can never detect the very drop of his chi energy, the only supply that allows him to be aware of spiritual beings and performing natural prowess that has a ridiculous amount of strength that even with every strongest beings that conquers the aspect of strength itself, in many ways or two, they can never seem to stand on the league of his strength that reaches the point of 'Infinity', an indefinite amount of power, strength that flows to a single point of his body that can simply allow him to obliterate the face of a single city with a dire costs, but scratching that off, how did he exactly end up here?
Consider that an hour or two again, in Japan, while in his room located in the Karakura Hospital, it was obviously a typical day of an injured person who came back all the way from a Hellish fight with the Demon Queen and required the time to heal himself because of the injuries he had received from his previous fight, giving him a slight edge to his body but certainly that he was almost at a point where he was about to completely heal and be discharged from the hospital after almost a few weeks of staying in the hospital, together with his regenerative capabilities that speeds up the process of healing which made things much simpler and quicker for him to leave the hospital as soon as possible before the medical bills starts to pack up to a point where he wouldn't be able to pay for it. Such occurance just broke out the news of an infested city, full of the walking dead right on the spot when missions began to place out across the entire city, becoming available to whoever's 'interested' to be a part of the four areas that was presented right at it, and the fact? The young figure chose the Area X, a possible place where its roots came about to these walking dead that is roaming around the city and considered to be a rather villainous work to be admired by many who desires to do such feats, but nonetheless, a monster against a monster, would put an end to this apocalypse before it spreads further out from the city and infect even more that is not involved in such situations.
Arriving using the work of his strength and moving by foot, it was not as far as he thought wihout the usage of transportation when it comes to travelling alone, arriving no longer than an hour or so later on his way, shifting and stopping by the welcoming entrance into the Saburo City, to the lands of Area X where the possibilities are many but in reality, luck does not play part in this hell, because a Nightmare is stepping right into the fray.
A tall figure stood in the midst of the city during his approachment into the deeper parts of Area X, the core that reincarnates the dead and makes them walk on its own bidding, to sink their fangs into the human flesh and make them join their ranks of being the living dead. A height of an average japanese male, what really stood out from the thousands of corpses was his bright crimson red hair, reflecting the sunlight wihout a single strand of white hair to even appear on each and every strands of his hair, and somehow, red hair seems to reflect the aggressive nature of the individual as well, but nonetheless, it is a little rare amongst many to have a trait of 'redness' on them. His pair of eyes were bloody red as well, darker in color than his hair, they make quite the appearance itself for being 'red', not to mention for a man in a bartender's clothes, its hard to figure out whether he is a commoner of the city, a bartender from a club or just a civilian with its usual clothings? Who knows, but according to the bounty, whoever seen the bounty that was placed almost across the globe, anyone that sees it can make this individual match with the entire specifications that was written on it, red hair, red eyes, bartender clothes and average figure, the young man was Sou Yuuki, in its alias, called the Nightmare.
Walking across the streets, this crippled young man had an underarm crutch under his right shoulder, syncing with his footsteps as it makes a tapping sound that vibrates across the city to be enough for ears to listen to its sound, attracting a horde of the 'undead' right to his position where he was walking about casually as if this was an ordinary day. Right wrist running with power, the wires was connected right under the wrist itself, to the nerves, veins and muscles which gives a maximum support to allow perception, sight, hearing and so on that was to transfer information for the body to sense. Well then, it was a great time to find the culprit behind the villainous acts, because this was certainly annoying him for someone to try as hard as infecting an entire city, it became hard to understand this person is hiding behind the shadows after performing such acts or done it out of boredom, though who knows?
Sou was rather.. different from how he used to react in these kind of situations, to either break into a sinister laugh or even run a full maniac act on this godforsaken place but all the reactions coming from him is not the struggle of dealing with these undeads, or rather, boredom ensues in this situation, that if any of these 'zombies' had the guts to even approach him within an inch radius from him, a strong force would simply blast them away, and if their physical structure is weak enough, their body would be torn apart from every bits of their flesh to a point where the existence of its limbs would not be there anymore than a pool of its own blood that was ripped apart by the force that his electromagnetic field produced when approached both passively and aggressively, unless he changes the filtering system of the entire field, he can allow certain people to pass through his field, otherwise, these 'undeads' are considered a threat against the Nightmare, hence the filtering system added an extra target to repel the undead beings like flies.
Keeping down the natural pressure of his body, it was to tune down the attention that would be received by anyone specializes in sensing pressure, unless they are in the aspect of being able to sense spiritual pressure only, then this would not be applied to them as the pressure he produces is not spiritual but more 'natural' in nature which utilizes the air pressure to create a 'pressure' that simply mimics a spiritual pressure by shinigamis or spiritual beings, though such only holds the aspect of more natural than supernatural in nature. In any way, it may seem impressive of being able to reincarnate the dead back to life, in exception that their 'self' would not be there anymore, with their souls passing to the afterlife, the reincarnation of their body would either be the corruption of the body's remaining 'lifeforce' where the soul left to the mortal body before it decomposes, but it is just a speculation that it may be another soul residing in such bodies since these beings are not its 'self' anymore by any means of aggressive characteristics and the hunger for living flesh, whether it would be a human or a spiritual being.
"Well, it seems that i am all alone right here and right now. I don't know which shithead thought of this zombie apocalypse thing, but they should know the term of 'too much force' in doing something like this because it is going to be a hassle to clean-up when the officials comes here to quarantine the entire area and haul down any remainings of these undeads that is trying to bite people's heads off like chewing gums. In any rate, i am going to search the entire area and see if there's any suspicious shit going on around the district because i'm getting a bad vibe out of this damned battlefield."
Upon more speculation, what he noticed was an increase in spiritual energy across the area when it was a couple of minutes after he started moving deeper into the cities, before its pulse grew weaker, there was.. a rather odd undeads that began to merge into a bigger form around him, growing much larger in size before more spawned in the area, two stories tall, as wide as they are in height, they are certainly monstrous and powerful by spiritual means, but in its biggest mistakes to ever take, was attacking the Nightmare as soon as they became fused beings, an undead that was absurbly powerful and dangerous, big in size and threatening as well, but when it makes its foward punch right against the Nightmare, it was all but a fault to their own selfish acts to not analyze the situation, that he was no longer who he used to be, and became someone who covered out the openings that was once there, but sealed up when the lesson was learnt, and the zombie tyrants? They were about to taste their own lesson as well.
[ CHANGE SOUNDTRACK ]
The moment their fist, or any part of their limbs decided to impact a full force against his mortal body, what they did not realise is that their movements was entirely halted before it had the time to smash right against his body, that his bloody red eyes makes a short glance at the tyrant before shifting his attention right away at them, his expression had a huge dissatisfaction, annoyed and somehow not even entertained at the slightest. Their actions halted by an invisible force, it was actually a compressed electromagnetic field that he used against Yukuri Iramasha before, which was never seen since then, but upon the discovery of such feats, he decided to use it defensively, that is if his electromagnetic field is too weak to redirect or halt an attack that is approaching him, it uses the method of compression where it gathers the energy of the entire field itself and compressing and strengthening it into a single state of defense, while the electromagnetic field itself is not entirely taken down, in other areas than where the tyrant's attack is halted, the rest of the area is weakened while the compressed point becomes stronger, and seconds later? The tyrant would be blown apart as all that force that the tyrant itself unleashed against him would redirect it back with two times of its actual force, and imploding its entire being from the inside through the use of vibrations.
Though, multiple of them began to approach him as well, that it certainly did give him a hint of surprise to his expression that he thought only one of them made through such an evolve in its power, and surprisingly, it has numerous of them being such powerful in its size and strength, however, when it comes to strength and skill in hand-to-hand combat, they are nothing but ants that should be stomped on by his boot. Coming from different direction, it was to first take off their balance by producing a crushing force injecting from his foot right against the earth which forces the entire earth within 10 mile radius to burst upwards, making a complex pattern to the surface of the earth that was completely obliterated by the force he unleashed from the stomp itself. With their balance thrown off, he would lift his underarm crutch to the air before throwing right towards one of the tyrants, that despite its speed that moving as fast as it seems, even if catched by bare hands or hit by the crutch, it crashes into the victim's body with an unholy force, that the impact was enough to release a powerful shockwave around it and obliterate the upper part of buildings around it with the force to erase an entirety of a mountain, while the tyrant's body would be explode in each and every of his limbs, while its entire body would split into half, including its head before injecting a strong vibration to the outer layer of its skin to rip its remainings apart into a pool of blood that rains down into the earth's surface, and so, it would redirect itself back to Sou due to the opposing momentum when it impacts into the tyrant's body, catching it using a little of strength to cancel its entirety of the force wihout making it explode against him. It is tired in a way of how the entire combat works, that he has no infinite stamina inside of him, but he can last longer than one can think of in a mortal like the Nightmare.
With the other two? His left hand would make a simple swing, which it utilizes the air pressure around his hand, where the natural energy in his hand would explode outwards, creating a non-flammable explosive force that vibrates into his muslces that absorbs the force, before transporting it outwards from the muscles and throughout the outer layer of his skin, and using it like a projectile can be used, it is more to be thrown and shot off like a bullet from his hand which behind it, it wouldn't be as painful as the Annihilator, the crutch itself can do, but its piercing force can simple puncture a hole against the tyrant's chest and make it bleed until it dries out of blood to move anymore. While the other one would be handled physically, blasting himself foward by stomping beneath the earth with a vibrating force and changing the air pressure to mess out the air particles in order to create a pressurized air to blow him foward akin to a shunpo but done physically with calculated force, his left fist would smash itself right against the guts of the last tyrant, holding an enough force to push the entire body of the zombie tyrant miles away, with possibilities of crushing its bones and imploding its organs, there are also chances where its head cannot withstand the sudden change in pressure unleashed right out of his fist to create a powerful impact which results the implosion of the victim's head, but all is based on how durable the zombie tyrant may be.
Landing to the broken earth beneath him after his offensive action was finally done, his expression still held the same thing, the unentertained feeling which he doesn't feel how he used to be, that he takes fun out of this, the Nightmare has lost the ability to even care anymore, that his only goal was to find the root of this, and end it once and for all. Popping his neck as it snaps sideways, it was a tiring warm-up to take against these tyrants, as they may be formidable in its physical structure and shown an increase in power, but if they are going to compare their physical prowess against his, it is nothing but a futile action to dig their own grave right back to where they should end up in. To say, these 'undeads' should be the 'dead' into the earth. Sou is indeed a monster in many ways, enough to disobey the gods themselves, he was to prove that even mortals has their own talents and abilities, even if they have no supernatural abilities to begin with, and such facts are proven to the existence by himself that they can achieve feats like this as well, wihout even requiring spiritual energy, all but natural uses of abilities.
"I wouldn't blame the pitiful little shit that thought up of the idea of reincarnating the dead, but hell if he or she were to do that, they ain't going to rest well to pass on! So, i'll put that bitch to sleep like the rest when i see him or her on the streets because it would be more appropriate for that shithead to say sorry once it goes to the damned hell.."
As short, the true monster and the embodiment of darkness steps right into the fray, as it was time to take down these corpses back to where they came from. The mess is surely big, but someone can fix these as he should approach to the one that reincarnated these mindless beings. He is coming for you, and most likely, rip your head off for being a wanna-be villain to do such useless acts, because if they were to do this, it should be done in the entire continent, not in some puny city that isn't even worth for a villain to take over. How would the game between the reincarnation of the undead and the monster? Well, the only thing that we know that it is going to be some serious destruction.
