A Crystal Timepiece

Zafaron nonchalantly tapped the table he was sitting at as he drank a glass of water. A few of his old squad members from the 11th division had invited him to some drinks to celebrate one of his few days off. They had chatted for awhile about the changes in being a vice-captain and various missions they had been on. However, the conversation started getting a tad more heated as the number of refills of his friends' sake cups started to increase. While Zafaron had learned early the importance of moderation in drinking, it appeared that his friends hadn't.
Completely drunk the three 11th division members got into an argument on who would have the best chance of defeating Zafaron's zanpakuto, Havon. Finally, as it usually did with the 11th division, it devolved into a brawl between the three while Zafaron calmly watched. It had actually been a decent fight only ending when the owner of the restaurant smacked them over the head with a giant wok.
Waving goodbye as the manager of the restaraunt threw the three bruised shinigami outside Zaf looked back down at the rest of his food finishing it and the leftovers his comrades had left over. Paying for the meal and having the bills for the other three be sent to the 11th division, Zafaron walked out into the street stretching slightly. As he made his way down the street he raised his eyebrow at one of the people he saw. Compared to all of the shinigami dressed in their regular uniform, a woman wearing purple robes and some type of beads around her neck was a tad out of place.
Wonder if she is from a different race or something? Or perhaps she just has a real lenient squad leader or something. Considering the spiritual pressure she seemed to have, he guessed the former. As he was debating this though, he seemed to catch her attention.
