What kind of RPer are you?
What kind of RPer are you?
A questionnaire that's designed to find out what is one's roleplayer type. Probably not meant to be taken at face value, but looks like a fun time-killer anyways. I think mine was pretty accurate, however. Everything I do with my characters in threads needs to have some kind of result or progression or I'll get bored of it and stop caring.
Here is my results

Screw character relationships and development, you're just here for the IC badassery. You like your roleplays to be short, sweet, and action-packed: who cares about continuity as long as your characters are always doing something awesome like blowing things up or running from the cops? You're the type of roleplayer least likely to take roleplay seriously and most likely to have your characters pull ridiculous stunts for the hell of it because hey, it's RP! What exactly is stopping you from wrestling that helicopter? Of course, your characters often tend to be flat and if there isn't anything exciting going on, you quickly lose interest entirely. But since your characters' relationships tend to be weak in the first place, you don't leave much of a gap when you leave to go fight bears with your bare hands somewhere else.

You are the classic tabletop roleplayer, the complete opposite of the Shipper. You like long, involved, continuous quests with lots of fighting and adventure, and probably enjoy seeing your character's skills and attributes grow, whether or not actual game mechanics are involved. You're more active than re-active in terms of game events: you're confident as a player and more than willing to jump in and steer the plot, which makes you a godsend to many a GM/moderator. However, your characters tend to be fairly static in terms of personality and character relationships, and you are the type of roleplayer most likely to succumb to powergaming and rules-lawyering.

As a Portraitist, the character is everything to you. You value the character's personality and development more than anything else, and your goal in roleplay is to flesh the character out in any and every way possible. You're the method actor of the roleplay world: you know your character through and through (you've probably done a ton of research) and you enjoy throwing your character into new and random situations just to prompt interesting reactions. However, you're hard to involve in any plots, mostly because ongoing stories that don't focus on exploring your character's innermost depths quickly bore you. Also, you might like to put your character in tragic/stressful situations a little too much.

Alright, since we going back and locking out old threads from 2014 and backwards, I'm going to go ahead and lock this and toss it in old general threads.
