Zombie Burst The Movie[Zombie Burst Mission]
Mon Jun 30, 2014 2:57 pm
T'was a quiet day on the outskirts of the city. Aluk'suul was gliding through the peaceful plain minding his own business. Buzz, buzz, buzz could be heard as he used his energy to propel himself across the landscape. He was currently levitating himself a good five meters in the air. The adjuchas-level hollow was silently thinking to himself, about what to do next since he has not absorbed any knowledge or adapted any sort of techniques in the pass couple days. Rumbling could be heard in the hollows stomach, it seemed he truly fed upon knowledge. Suddenly the rumbling grew louder, and louder, before he realized it was not his stomach that was making the loud noise. He quickly surveyed his surroundings to spot a rather large hoard of zombies heading towards the city.
'THE LIBRARY NOOOO!!!!!!' Gliding towards the zombie hoard, he started to gather his reishi into his two smaller eyes. Lightning arcs from his tentacles striking the ground and propelling himself faster and faster towards the hoard. He suddenly started to unleash pure purple orbs of energy upon the hoard. These orbs of energy were essentially time-bombs, that had the same amount of power and energy consumption that a bala would cost the powerful hollow. The tentacles of the mighty beast waved around wildly spraying acidic sweat around in the beasts anger. Everywhere the acid fell, steam would rise up from the melted section of zombie or object. In his rush to protect his precious books and knowledge, he did not sense the zombie that attempted to jump at his back.

MERLIN AERIK
BEGIN POST
"Merlin, back away! Don't come in here!"
My hands, trembling with fear. The beads of sweat, uncontrollably running down my cheek. It was a first for such a situation. Never had I feared anything, nor felt nervous. Anxious.
Blood. It was a first for that too. Blood from my fist. The pain. The writhing pain, my first experience. It hurt. It hurt so much. It hurt. It hurt. It hurt it hurt it hurt it hurt. But still.
"Merlin! I said don't come in here!"
How could I? You were right there, just a few feet away, blocked by this glass. I just need to break it. Right? Glass won't be a problem for me. I can just.. Power through.
"MERLIN! STAY AWAY!"
But. You're hurt. How could I leave you there hurt? Hurt.. Yeah. I'm hurt. But.. you're hurt even more. You're hurt. You're hurt you're hurt you're hurt you're hurt. These words. Echoing through my head. Who's hurt? Why am I hurt? You're hurt. YOU'RE HURT.
"MERLIN!! STOP!!"
"OOOOOOHHHHHHHHH"
My fist. It's moving forward. What's going on? My fist. It's bleeding. It hurts. IT HURTS!!! It's painful, but... but..[i] My whole body was shaking. It really did hurt. The pain. I was sensitive to it. It coursed through my arm. My fist. My knuckles were shattered... but it felt like my whole arm, slowly thrashed inside out. My flesh, open for once, the filthy air invading me. It was painful.
His eyes were teary. His voice was muffled. Nose was running. His face was turned and twisted, fear wreaking havoc on his eyes.
"Merlin.. please.." A quiet whisper. A sobbing noise accompanied... "Please... I'll.. I'll hurt you.. plea-"
"YOU'RE HURT TOO, AREN'T YOU?! YOU'RE HURT!! YOU'RE HURT YOU'RE HURT YOU'RE HURT YOU'RE HURT YOU'RE HURT-"
Madness. It was in my eyes. On my face. Coated in pain. In fear... In tears.
I roared.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
My hand drew back. It smashed into the glass. It didn't break. Why didn't it break? I was strong. I was always strong. I was strong. Everything was fragile before me. I was strong. Harder. Harder. HARDER. HARDER HARDER HARDER.
Again. Again and again, my fist shot forward. The glass.. What kind of glass? It didn't break, no matter how many times I swung. It was so painful. I couldn't handle it. My legs gave. The pain was throughout my whole body. My chest clenched tight. My teeth grit hard. It was so painful.
Blood. Blood drew from my mouth. My teeth pushed against each other. It dripped everywhere. I was soaked in it.
It was painful.
But.
You were in pain too. Who were you?
You're hurt.
.....
You're hurt.
Why? Stop it. Stop hurting. Stop hurting!
Tears ran down my face, more so than before. They weren't tears from pain. Not physical pain. From the heart. My heart ached.
I sobbed. My voice shook as I breathed. It shook. It quivered. It wavered.
Just.. just stop hurting...! I'll help you.. stop. Just stop!
"STOOOOOOOOP!!!"
My head. My head smashed into the glass.
It hurt. It really hurt. My forehead. It hurt. It bled.
The glass shattered. And so did this dream.
____
Merlin's eyes opened wide, his mouth gaping and gasping for air, his hands on his forehead and throat.
Whaa.. what? It was.. a dream? What.. what kind of dream was that?
Merlin lifted his torso up, from a previously laid down position. Sitting up-right his palms were placed firmly on the concrete ground under him.
"Hup!" Merlin rolled his body back and lifted his knees to touch his chest. Once he came to a stop after rolling back, his feet jolted forward as his legs extended, the momentum carrying his body to a standing halt. He spoke, his thoughts said aloud. "Hmm... what was that dream? Seemed really vivid. Like a memory or something.. and who was the person behind the glass? I couldn't see him." Merlin's hand raised, his fingers cupping his chin as his other hand bent to support the former by the elbow.
"But more importantly." Looking to his left, the ground he was on seemed to be the roof of a building; further past this sight were scattered beings, left and right, dozens of them, likely even hundreds. Amongst them seemed to be an interesting character, whizzing around with some sort of static bolts flying from behind him. "That seems interesting."
Merlin took a few steps forward, his hands placed in the pockets of his jean-shorts. He eventually reached the edge of the roof he was on, squinting his eyes as if he were scouting the area, surveying the situation at hand.
"Whadda ya think, Levi?" Merlin quickly spoke these words before briefly pausing.
"Levi? Hm.... must've been an impulsive phrase."
Ignoring his own words, Merlin skipped forward, hopping off the building and finding himself on the ground, feet firmly planted, a slight jolt running through his body from the recoil of the fall, but barely holding any significance in volume.
Well, I suppose I can take a closer look, can't I? Merlin knees bent forward, a curious grin on his face. His legs straightened in an instant, a burst of speed propelling the boy at a speed beyond one's usual capability to see. The ground where he once stood crackled, a slight crater showing.
His feet had yet to touch the ground as his speed maintained at an insane height. Traveling during this rapid leap, he took notice to the surroundings and the people he passed by. They weren't normal. Sort of... lifeless, in a way.
Ahh, here I am.
His speed began to drop as he was rather close to the odd creature spewing some acidic substance and explosives everywhere. Upon approaching the intended location, as accurately calculated that Merlin would find himself mere metres from the creature, his feet extended forward and pushed down, slowly decelerating his bodies motion.
"Heya, weird dude--what's goin' on here?" Merlin came to a standing halt once again, as calculated to be a few metres away from the beast before him, seemingly attacking the lifeless bodies that approached the city in the background.

Aluk'suul continued to blast the zombies with his Muerte Altanero. He turned around and swatted the zombie that was about to land on his back. He did not notice the insane slime monster attacking the zombies as well. He barely noticed the human suddenly appearing out of thin air next to him.
He attacked the human with a tentacle thinking it was a zombie. Before the tentacle hit the human, it suddenly stopped before slapping him away. Aluk'suul blinked at the human, before igniting a Rebanadora from his three tentacles. He started to turn rapidly directly over the human. Purple neon letters form around Aluk'suul's blades so the human can read them.
'Do not get in my way. If you're powerless aside from your pure speed, leave. I have no time to babysit you.'
The zombies continued to walk towards Aluk'suul and the human, while he spins cutting each and every one of them in half while he spins. His acidic sweat flies off his tentacles to slowly dissolve the zombies, leaving the parasites within unharmed.
Aluk'suul does not know about them until one of them flies at the human. Reacting without thinking, Aluk'suul pierces the parasite with his Rebanadora. He brings the parasite to his face to examine it. He looks down at the human before grinning in his head. Letters form while he swings the Rebanadora around in the air like before.
'Do not harm these creatures. I wish to study them. Please collect them while you're fighting. If you do need to kill them, do as little damage as possible. If possible, please capture one of them alive for me. That's assuming you have more going for you, than just speed.'
With that announcement, Aluk'suul started to attack the zombies being careful to try and not harm the parasites within them.

Song: Throwdown --- By: Fox Stevenson --- Word Count: 698
Orbs were being thrown left and right, seeping into the zombies as they made contact. Quite certainly, Merlin was confused. He had no idea what was going on--well, maybe a bit of an idea. But still, for the most part, he was unaware of the creatures reasoning for attacking the masses of lifeless-looking creatures around him. But, what confused him even more was the flying tentacle that flew towards his face--something like that, certainly he felt it necessary to comprehend the situation. But Merlin was a calm forgiving guy. He simply side-stepped out of the way far before the tentacle could come even close in making contact with him, and never brought it up. Such a small problem, why make a big deal out of it? Besides, so long as he wasn't hurt, being concerned about it wasn't going to get him anywhere.
This creature wasn't the only thing bothering him. Further off in the distance, someone else was attacking the masses. And who were they? Furthermore, the man off in the distance, and this tentacly creature, somehow seemed similar.
"Ah! That's it!" Snapping his fingers in a gesture hinting that a light bulb went on in his head, Merlin realised why they seemed similar. Their attacks! Both of them used their limbs to slice up the odd people around them, and even though it didn't seem very moralistic, Merlin didn't give much attention to it; for some reason, it didn't seem so wrong. "Do not get in my way. If you're powerless aside from your pure speed, leave. I have no time to babysit you." Losing attention to what the tentacled creature was doing, purplish words would form before the out-of-place boy. "Wow! That's impressive! I wonder how you do that?"
Completely ignoring the fact that such a thing was, frankly, really quite odd, Merlin freely expressed his admiration for such a skill; but, those thoughts would soon be forgotten, as some sort of parasitic creature flew out while the creature was going around chopping up the corspe-ish bodies around, some sort of weird substance flying from his body doing a bit of the job as well. Seeing an odd creature flying from the corpse and land on the ground, different from the one tentacle monster was inspecting, Merlin got curious enough to nearly touch it. What interrupted such a train of thought were the floating purple words forming once more.
"Do not harm these creatures. I wish to study them. Please collect them while you're fighting. If you do need to kill them, do as little damage as possible. If possible, please capture one of them alive for me. That's assuming you have more going for you, than just speed." Feeling not too opposed to attacking these beings, which he felt no sense of justice in protecting them, Merlin couldn't help but agree; to him, it was a set of actions covering two birds with one stone. Having fun, and helping a guy! Though, it wasn't like the monster wasn't rude, so a bit of reluctance was felt. "Hah! No problem!"
Taking the tentacle monster's words, what Merlin focused on was the "at least one" part. Meaning, he could go around willy-nilly destroying these creatures, and at least save one, right? So, let the limbs fly!
Merlin started to bounce around, taking a few steps to the left, raising his arms in southpaw boxer positioning.
BOOM!
A single punch sent out from Merlin had already broken the sound barrier, his fist appearing right before the head of one of the zombies--and yet, his fist didn't make contact. Why? Well, a thought had passed through Merlin's head: The tentacle monster didn't necessarily touch these guys directly. Maybe I shouldn't either? With that thought in mind, Merlin made a last minute adjustment to his game plan, not making contact with the zombie's face. Although, that didn't mean the zombie was saved.
Rather suddenly, one might add, the entire head of the creature was shredded apart, flesh, brains and bones falling to the ground in several fragments and clumps of mush. The wind pressure generated from Merlin's sonic punch seemed to have carried on, impacting the head of the zombie and in turn destroying it utterly.
"Oh? That's interesting..."

BOOM! Zombies started to explode seemingly without explanation. The Zombies that were hit by his Muerte Altanero were starting to explode. Some of them that had two maybe three Muerte Altanero took out the zombies near them. Rumbling could be heard and felt from the gigantic Hollow.
He seemed to be laughing at something. 'Yes, the library is safer.' He continued to slice away at the Zombies that weren't hit by the Muerte Altanero. The mighty hollow looked around before landing behind the boy. He looked back at Merlin before signalling to stay behind Aluk'suul.
Glaring at the zombies, Aluk'suul whips his posterior tentacle above him and in front of him while aiming the other two the same way. It seemed this hollow was planning something for the buggers. Aluk'suul starts to fire beams of energy infront of himself collecting the energy into a ball in front of him.
Slowly, ever so slowly the ball grows bigger and bigger until it reaches the size of his large eye. Purple light can be seen around the hollow, as he charges the fearsome cero that would destroy a large portion of the hoard around them. The large eye starts to glow with the energy.
The light around Aluk'suul brightens suddenly, before a huge beam of energy fires out of the eye and into the large ball of reishi floating before the hollow. The mass of energy goes critical and fires out into a massive beam of energy that was targeting the zombies.
Slowly the zombies are overpowered by the mighty Cero. Slowly they were being destroyed. Slowly they were becoming dust. Aluk'suul knew that he was going to have at least one of the parasites to study and possible replicate. He started to turn towards the other Zombies, slowly turning them to ash once he extinguished the beam a huge hole would be in the hoard where the zombies once where.

BOOM!
Explosions left and right, there locations memorable--and for good reason. It would seem as though the zombies pegged by the orbs earlier had begun to explode from inside out. With Merlin's intellect, it was easy enough to deduce that the orbs were the cause, considering they were the only common denominator, besides all the zombies being... well, zombies; besides, even with Merlin's focus towards the hoards before him, it wasn't too hard to match things up when rotten limbs would fly all over the place from his peripherals. Either way, the boy figured things out pretty well and moved on--simple as that.
Now, what he moved on to was the same thing as aforementioned--the hoards before him. And what would Merlin do? The same thing he had been doing for the past few minutes: cooperating with the weird tentacled monster behind him through ripping apart the zombies--and of course, without touching. With Aluk'suul's lack of contact with them, Merlin simply followed suite and let air pressure do the job for him--and it was, in fact, rather effective.
Tossing booming punches left and right, the sound barrier being a joke to him at this point, air pressure would swirl around his fists and travel forwards, inertia being one hell of a contributor during this time. While this was happening, what quickly followed the explosions seen in the corner of Merlin's eyes was a weird rumble. A really weird rumble, as a matter of fact. It was spotty and repetitive, but had a bit of a pattern to it. Thinking about it momentarily--all the while simultaneously throwing jets of wind at the walking corpses, of course--it actually seemed to match up pretty well with how one might shake during a haughty chuckle. Was that what it was? Haha, that's seriously weird.
A smile drew from Merlin's face while thinking these words to himself. To be quite honest, it really was a weird result--rumbling from an overgrown semi-octopus laughing to itself. It was quite the concept, and for some reason it just felt so accurate; but it was a minor affair within one's mind, and easily gotten over--just as easily as an attachment to one of these lifeless creatures, which in hindsight would be extremely brief. Another amusing thought, and just as easily passed.
While the giant monster continued hacking away at the hordes awaiting their untimely demise, Merlin was simply there for the ride, doing his own little thing and even having fun with his actions. Not easily bored but definitely preferring amusement in life, innovation was an idea easily risen. For, how else was there to kill zombies but with fun and creativity? Not that Merlin actually knew the nature of these creatures.
Actually, it was beginning to become clearer to him, just what these things were. It was as if they were lifeless corpses walking around with unclear intent but to be drawn towards life and seemingly attempt to consume it. Combine such a solid deduction with the fact that parasitic creatures would occasionally fly from their bodies upon being hacked or ripped to shreds, and it was an obvious thought. They were clearly zombies! Even someone such as Merlin, with all their amnesiac difficulties, would--if at the least slightly--think zombies. Walking corpses with parasites hungry for life? It was practically a ridiculous notion to think otherwise! Therefore, Merlin had gone from feeling indifferent about smashing these masses to bits to actually finding it to be a protagonistic duty of someone so attached to justice as he was, to rid the world of these undead monsters! And that he did!
Now, going back to innovation, ideas went through Merlin's mind as he went off to rip through the rotten bodies. During this time, the occasional light would go off in the background, unbeknownst to Merlin as something in which the monster he was helping was responsible for. What else could generate purple light so often, anyways? But besides the point; during this time, simply throwing punches and letting the inertia-effected wind rip through the zombies in a chaotic rotational motion was far too boring. Such repetitive actions would get old quickly. His solution to such a predicament? A different set of instigating movements! It was clear enough that the devastating winds he produced were a result of his sound-defying punches--the obvious solution was to change the manner of his attacks, thereby changing the manner in which the wind followed through.
Perhaps this time a kick would be more fun? After all, he had consistently been using his arms, practically throwing the wind at the hordes. Where was the fun in that? Merlin wasn't intent on playing ball anyways. As such, the next set of actions would proceed as such: his foot raised into the air, Merlin's back reflexively leaning backwards but keeping straight. Following was the bend of his knee, rotating from his foot nearly tapping his posterior to extending straight out, directly followed by the swing of his thigh. The result? A perfectly executed side-kick, with speeds generated enough to surpass sound, just as his punches.
As suspected, a different reaction to a different start-up occurred. This time, instead of shooting forth in an explosive manner, the wind followed through his kick, being sent forward in a horizontal line. Upon contact with any zombies in the way, whatever was below the horizontal slash was severed from the things above it--and with enough strength and speed to go past sound? Clearly, this burst of wind would go on for quite a while--seemingly indefinitely. And, in that, the obvious result was an amazing headcount. The strike was offered at a height where many necks stood. As such, the severing took place through those same necks, and countless heads flew up into the air, the bodies dropping quicker than flies in a fumigated room... If that was such a thing. It was the thought that ran through Merlin's head anyways, and who was to offer any contradiction to a mental statement?
Well, there actually was one 'person'.... but said person would remain silent for quite a while to come.
