There were alarms becoming set off all throughout the Yuudeshi Network as Videl went off the deepend. By her display of power, these were alerts that brought the attention that a dangerous presence had infuriated the city. However -- this was nothing new to the metropolis. There were hundreds of thousands of threats that plagued the city on a daily bases and most had proved not to be worth the Beast of Karakura's time with the man-force and protection the city was armed with. Yet, in this case, there was something peculiar about the spiritual frequency in which one of the targets in this city brawl possessed. Yes, upon further inspection by the network -- one of these combatants in the middle of Karakura Central shared his own wavelength. So while Shadin had returned from a mission overseas, he was brought up to speed on the conflict going on between Videl, Sou Yuuki and an unnamed demon via Yuudeshi Network. So while things were getting quite destructive within the core of the city, the threat of this harming the civilians was far too great to ignore. But, out of his own concern, the priority of protecting his long lost daughter took a much more urgent matter to tend to than anything else.

Thus, as Shadin observed the the spectacle from the top of a airfleet above Karakura Central, he decided to first go into action by making the most of The Yuudeshi Network to isolate this portion of the city from the general population. This was made by possible by having the vicinity of where Videl's void force was be met with resistance by the ample volume of energy made possible by The Yuudeshi Network. From there, the citizens within this district were all but shielded from her attacks and were evacuated by means of teleporation in a quick manner. Everyone within a three thousand meter radius seemed to be transported and removed from the area in order to prevent them from being caught up in the potential crossfire.

Once this objective had been met, the process of conjuring up a dense barrier was all but childsplay with the abundant resources the network had at its disposal for Shadin to use. Clocking in and synchronizing with the processing power from the machinery associated with the Network's own supercomputers and Shadin's cyberbrain, the barrier was put up within seconds in order to give them little room to react. However, this dome wasn't meant to keep anyone or anything out. Instead, this sphere of white light ignited within the three hundred meter radius to induce an environmental shift. Through the vast amounts of The Yuudeshi's reishi scattered about the city as apart of his siege, Shadin interconnected the entirety of the city section where this battle was taking place and coordinated a massive teleporation spell from his kido arsenal.

Where were they being transported to? The outlands of Karakura Central: Karakura Forest. It is in this location that he'd be unrestrained and free to do as he pleased without endangering the welfare of the city at large. Meanwhile, for everyone caught inside, they'd be taken along for a little trip; but could feel free to leave once, or if, they arrived at their destination. And as for the hole in the ground left in Karakura City? Well, The Yuudeshi Network would tend to those wounds. Already having the blueprints of Karakura Central at its disposal, it wasted no time using the nanomachines synchronized with the Network in order to reconstruct that portion of the district where the battle more than likely took place.

From there, all that was left to do was for The Beast himself to descend upon the area and reclaim his young. Therefore, from out of the docking bay of one hundred meter wide silver ship, the supposed leader of Japan stood his ground. Wearing nothing more than a pair of black canvas shoes, ash colored jeans and a white shirt with vertical gray stripes; he seemed more than casual in his appearance, but very true to his intent with a scowl that made his crimson red eyes pierce the area from above with a gleaming red glow. Clenching on to a mechanized cane that started to produce mechanical sounds from within, the whirring screech of Shadin's power being activated came as he flipped the switch on his black electrode collar and took off in a flash towards the battle area as his silver hair thrashed in the wind.

In this descent down to the earth, there was so much going on through his mind. It had been so many centuries since he and his daughter last spoke or seen each other, so it was safe to assume that the male's mind was all but entrapped within a mental whirlwind. At this point, he was reacting purely on fatherly instinct. From sniffing the blood of his own, all processes going on inside of his body at this point were automatic and downright robotic. Most of the resources at his disposal were aimed at getting his daughter out of this mess and giving her the help she needed after reviewing the footage of the clash thus far from the cameras within the city.

Therefore, before anything else, it was safe to assume that the correct method to deal with this delicate operation was to take Videl out of the picture all together and subdue her. Flashing back to memories of his own self going on rampages throughout the old city of Karakura Town, he knew no reason could be talked into her until she was at point where logic could prevail. Therefore, he decided to go ahead and send tens of thousands of chains around the range where Videl was. They were all blue and white in color and seemed to be produced out of sheer energy. In fact, they came to be out of the very reishi that Shadin had scattered previously in his entrance into the brawl.

What was their purpose? Simple: entrapment and defense. By locking her in a wealth of his own power, this would make it rather difficult if not impossible for the void energy to function in a stable form. This meant that it was going to be constantly rejected and fought against the very antithesis of nothingness: creation. After all, creation was a very real possibility of Imaginary Computation at its root, and with the excess energy of The Yuudeshi Network backing him, it was all but a second thought to bring this power to the forefront to shut her down outright. All throughout the battlefield any trace of void energy was going to be locked down, blocked out and all but sealed.

In the meantime, these chains were also meant to bind and constrict Videl's movement by injecting her with The Beast's own energy. Provided this plan were to work, the objective of it was to cripple her with the copious amounts of spiritual energy that The Beast possessed in order to quickly bring her to a ceasing halt. Her bones, muscles and organs would all feel immense pressure, constriction and limited mobility and strength to them as this process was meant to take effect at a fast rate of speed. Moreover, when it came to her metaphysical being, the same restrictions were intended to come about to her Chi and Energy based powers.

Like a beast claiming its prey, the reishi from Shadin were instructed to begin clamping down, restraining and halting the creation, movement or usage of Videl's own power by sheer dominance and control. In this way, she was meant to have her supernatural powers on lockdown and reduced to the status of a paralyzed human so that she could be reasoned with and withheld in a secure location. As, after the creation of these chains, a dense barrier on par with dome from Karakura Central was produced around Videl's body. Its purpose to keep anything from coming in and The Agent of Chaos from breaking out.

Thus, at this point, the chains were all but meant to retract and defend Videl from the assaults of Reigen and Sou Yuuki. If the chains were to fail by the time they had been ordered to entangle Videl's entire being, then the dome itself was going to prove to be the standing force. The Yuudeshi Network itself was proving to be quite the bountiful thing in this endeavour as Shadin bounced all throughout the battlefield. If nothing else, he had one thing going for him: he was faster than both of these men combined. Judging from their movements in the recorded databases of Karakura Central, this was a safe assumption and bet to make. So if all the other precautions failed, he'd just shove her out of the way himself and throw a burst of white light at the two of them in order to disrupt their attacks by brute force in the form of a colossal energy blast. However, this was only on the off-chance that the first two measures of defense had failed.

In any case, he'd more than put himself in between Videl and the two attackers. Holding out his hand, he'd produce a repulsion field from his energy that was meant to repel and deflect physical and metaphysical attacks across a one hundred meter radius. Gauging the levels of strength between himself and the two other targets on the field, it was safe to fall under the theory that this would hold up against their attacks if they decided to get further violent. Therefore, he'd soon turn his attention towards the scarlet gaze of Sou Yuuki's eyes and stare him down with the utmost of resolution behind them.

"Look, if you wish to get to her, you are going to have to go through me at this point." Now moving his left arm to act as a shield to Videl, a burst of white and blue electricity surged from out of Shadin's body and scattered throughout the range as his energy seemed quite volatile and ready to snap at the slightest sign of hostility towards him. "I don't care about any sort of long-winded speech about heroes and villains," Follow those words, he'd more than refer to the many times Sou had gone over the hero and villain aspect between the two as he seemed to make a great emphasis on it. ", or the plight between humans and demon's," Turning his gaze to the likes of the Immoral Demon, he could outright smell the disgusting scent that was demonic essence from his keen senses granted to him by his Ziamichi Spirit: Oni Chiita. ", all I know is that this battle is over and I am going to handle it in the way I see fit. This is my daughter and the city I protect, so it is more than within my jurisdiction to handle it from this point."

Glancing back at Videl wherever she may be at this point, he kept a close eye on his presence on the field. There was no guarantee that everything he set into place was going to go as planned, but the network estimated that its chance of success was more than ninety percent. However, it was always the ten percent risk of it failing that left him unnerved. No, he wasn't afraid of fighting them all. Combat was just a fact of life for someone of his caliber of strength. What was stabbing him in the gut was the off-chance that his daughters future was more than -- bleak -- from the actions she decided to take in. If she decided to continue to be aggressive and homicidal, he was fearful of what the higher-ups in Karakura Central were going to think of this; yet alone having to put her down himself if her mental state deteriorated further.

So, even as he stood before them now, his mind was plotting a million different ways to work his offspring out of this mess as any father would when their children were in danger. He wielded a lot of power and influence in the world, so he knows at the very least he could delay any sort of hearing on the crims that were committed with her unlawful use of powers and intent to cause damage and death. It was just -- the thought of rehabilitating her -- was going to be a long and dangerous road he had to take on with the other responsibilities he has to the world at this point. It all made for quite the volatile and stressful situation to deal with and he was more or less on edge until one of these players made the next move in this dance of life and death they played.

Return of the Agent of Chaos [open] - Page 2 Empty Re: Return of the Agent of Chaos [open]

It seemed the fools were not going to stop their antics, not that Videl truly cared. Sure, this was not the way she had wanted to have her day go, but she was of the void, at home in the most chaotic of places. A soft chuckle escaped the being of the void at Sou’s proclamation, did the child not realize just what would happen. The winds began whipping around her new body as pressure bore down on her, unlike anything she had ever felt before. However, it did not strike fear in the heart of this Yuudeshi, instead a demonic grin spread across her face. Videl’s blood lust had far exceeded any fear that the fool could inflict on her, squashing the fear in to nothingness. Her voice was giddy as she spoke, joy dancing in her eyes as she watched her void energy make work of the people below.

“You, the embodiment of the darkness? Perhaps it is you who needs to learn their place? Even if it means ripping this whole dimension to pieces, I WILL FINISH YOU!”

However, it was at this point that a bright white barrier surrounded the area they were in, Videl’s eyes widening slightly as her head turned around. Looking for the person who had created this, a growl left her lips. Some fool was attempting to cage her, and they would not succeed, that was something she was determined to make sure of. She would not be trapped, she would not be caged, she would be free. Her eyes finally flickered towards the man responsible as chains formed and wrapped around her. The chains met her flesh, and a scream of intense pain ripped itself from Videl’s throat. Fear rushed through her as the chains began burning through her skin, her very body being melted away by the bindings that were now upon her. Why was this happening though? Simple, Videl’s body was currently made entirely of void energy, while the chains were of the essence of creation. Her own body was literally being torn apart by chains as the nothingness that made her up was slowly being obliterated. Fear flooding through her, Videl’s mind went in to overdrive as her injured arm melted and fell away. The pain was too much to stop herself from letting out the screams of pain, but still she pushed her mind through it. She refused to die, to submit herself to this man’s machinations. Pushed to the very edge, she reacted on instinct alone, the instinct telling her to get the hell away from these chains.

Her body quivered and then seemed to implode, the body of Videl going from corporeal human to incorporeal steam of energy in a few seconds. As a stream of energy, the chains binding her were now far too large to hold her as she zipped downward, away from that which had held her captive. Moving away from the chains, her body reformed once she was sure she was far away so as not to touch those damn chains again. Her breathing was heavy, dangerous looking burns scarred her body where the chains had touched her. Slowly her body descended and touched the ground, the young female dropping to her knees while her eyes burned with anger and thoughts of vengeance. At this point there was no way she could do anything to defend herself against the attacks sent at her by the human fool and the demon shithead, but to her surprise the man who had bound her in those chains put himself between her and the attacks that had been sent her way, defending her from what most likely would have been her death given her current situation.

It was at this time that she got a good look at the newcomer, her eyes widening in surprise as she looked upon the back of her own father, the man who had brought her in to this world. However, as Videl’s mind caught up with this fact, she realized another one. This man had almost killed her, her own father had almost succeeded in removing her very existence. A low, growl escaped her throat at that thought, filled with anger, sorrow, and pain. Her face reflected these emotions, the feelings of betrayal she felt clear to anyone who looked upon her form. He began to speak, his words further igniting her fury as he spoke, emotions that would be known by the growl she let out the second after he finished speaking.

“Your daughter? YOU ALMOST KILLED ME! The void was a better father then you ever could be, and it’s not even alive!”

Slowly she pushed herself to her feet, her body trembling as the fire burned in her eyes. She could feel the energy coursing through her, attempting to restrain her on both a physical and metaphysical level. However, she had not taken up the mantle of the agent of chaos for nothing, sheer will and determination to do as she wished making sure that she was not completely incapacitated just yet. Sure, her time was limited, and that was something she knew well, but she had other options. For now though, her rage boiled over, the wind whipping around her as it formed in to a small tornado, her weakened body rising in to the air. Her powers responding to her emotions, slicing blades of wind shot outwards towards Shadin Yuudeshi one after the other. She was quickly tiring though, and after five blades she could no longer go forward. The tornado slowly dispersed as her powers were no longer able to keep it moving, the air around her wavering before gravity took its hold on her body. Her eyes heavy, she spoke a couple of words feebly, words that would likely have no meaning to the others but words she spoke anyways.

“Nevarrah, I leave this to you.”

Suddenly her body straightened, despite the effects of the energy spread throughout her body it began moving as if it was completely unrestricted. Purple eyes glowing with the black power of the void, a soft sigh escaped the lips of the girl. Landing lightly upon the ground, the black haired female reached up, scratching at the back of her neck with a seemingly bored look on her face. Looking directly at Shading Yuudeshi, unnatural purple eyes looked at him as she spoke, her voice slightly different than before, but filled with boredom, as if this person didn’t want to be here.

“Stupid bitch, I told her I just wanted to be left alone. Then first thing she does when coming back here is demand that I come out and do something. Now the only question is what the hell do I do now? Well, I could fight you all, get my ass kicked, and wind up in a worse spot. Doesn’t help that Videl actually gives a damn about one of you.”

At this point the being shot a glare at Shadin before resuming his speech, talking to itself as if the others weren’t there.

“Then again, I have to protect my bonded, so I can’t just let the idiots harm her. Though if I try going peacefully and end up in a cell Videl will kill me, plus I wouldn’t want to deal with it anyways. Tch, guess I don’t have much of a choice. Oh, old man, the energy inside her is pointless. Her body is pure void energy, rather than move her legs as a human would I’m simply manipulating the energy that makes up her body. Quite like a marionette, so why don’t you make things easier on the both of us and remove it from the body of my bonded? It’s not like she’s happy with you at the moment anyways.”

With a smirk, the being turned around slowly walking off in a random direction as if it didn’t have a care in the world. As it did, a single word would flow behind it.

“Boring…”

Return of the Agent of Chaos [open] - Page 2 Empty Re: Return of the Agent of Chaos [open]

Artist: Iuchi Maiko - Song: Absolute Abilty Evolution Project - Word Count: 1503

Good grief. Who knew when some mass teleportation came by to change the scenery and some heroic guy just popped right before his eyes like a box being opened and revealing a chocolate cake inside. The most surprising thing was when Shadin made his debut into the city like some great ol' hero who just came by to clap his hands and interfere over a matter which they called 'family business', something that Sou himself finds it as an excuse for his own daughter to slaughter more than a couple of people and expect him to pat himself in the back and forget everything that had happened there? Oi, oi, what's going on here? Family members that rampage in the city all they want with their power and get away with it using just a couple of scoldings because they are a 'family', and that, was nothing more than a sad excuse slapped across his face. Get out because this is not his 'business, well, looking at the wrong angle that Shadin had to do some justice work here. Dissapointing, really, so much that he can barely survive the laughter clawed against his tummy like a great grievance he had to went through the talking. He stood there, with a crutch against his right shoulder before taking a few steps back with displeasure across his face, only to reply to Shadin's so-called 'protection' to the city and his 'daughter'.

"Oi, what's the meaning of this? You're telling me that she made that mess and can get away with it wihout any required punishment? You sure are letting your fatherly instincts to take over your actions right here. I don't care about these stupid 'jurisdiction' or whatever you speak of, whether this is a personal family business or some stupid shit you're about to come up with, that doesn't apply to the fact that she went ahead to made a mistake, just like i did, killing off the innocents with cold blood, and because of her connections with you, you're just going to let this bitch crawl off, supervised and taught personally by you? Hell, i ain't going to turn a blind eye to this one, certainly. And i thought we could have a truce here wihout any violence, but i think we are just coins on opposite sides, i guess. Fine, if this is what you want, i wouldn't mind fighting you, even if you have an army against me, i don't give an either care to show of. Indeed, 'why', i wonder."

In a sudden surge of power across his body, Sou's back had grown, are not wings of his upcoming awakening, more than a new skill he was just about to use on when electricity, seemingly like tentacles itself forming itself into a long rope with a sharp end, it does seem as if the Nightmare had a great degree of controlling them, considering that they originate from his bodily nervous system and the machine itself, it was obvious that it was an easy control for him to use it on a level suitable for himself and using it efficiently. Standing firmly with a grin across his face, the power soon crackled across the battlefield with trees being striken down by the fierce lightning produced from his mortal body, darkness descending to his figure with blood eyes piercing right through the darkness. This was no longer a game, no longer a taunting play, but a fight of the opposites. It was foolish of Sou to even think about having a truce wihout violence going on between them, but turning a blind eye is almost an impossible task for him, not if the lives are endangered when things has already escalated at this level.

[ CHANGE SOUNDTRACK ]

He was indeed smiling, with an exploding energy that stretched out miles from his current position, that most likely most of the Karakura Forest would be in effect of his terrifying pressure that surged out from his very being, even if he is just a human and nothing but a human, there is no saying that he cannot be something else than JUST a human. Making a few steps closer to Shadin, his intent to kill was certainly there but there was no signs of hostility, or even took Shadin as a threat, as he was nothing more than someone who went his way to let their own children get away with it and pretended nothing has happened. He knows it, when their child is in danger, they'll get away with it even if they destroyed the entire city into dusts and get 'punished' personally. It was nothing more than just a laughing stock. Family? Friends? All of them are just a bullshit to him, nothing else than lies built to give you false hope and false safety, that from the beginning, he shouldn't have trusted this man's words full of honor and chivalry, a bigshot who thinks he knows everything that a person went through. The irony, was indeed great, so great that he couldn't help but to let out a chuckle with a grin across his face, before stepping closer to the Beast with an overwhelming pressure, not spiritually created from his own chi energy, but purely pressure coming down from the earth and crushing any beings that is weak-willed to be destroyed to pieces by fear or collapse wihout any due strength to keep themselves up. Hatred, lies, all of them, clumping together into a single frame of emotion, the distrust of others, only sweet, sugarcoated words that makes you feel pity and giving them an understanding. There is no way in hell, not even in heaven, the Nightmare will give in so damn easily. Here, he thought himself and Shadin could be somewhere in the zone of so-called 'allies', but realizing the impossible fact, they were meant to be enemies, not allies, friends or comrades, opposite sides of a single coin that should bash their heads against each other, that's what he would mention the 'relationship' they are currently in.

Within the vicnicity of where all the fighters would move into, it would be strange when they do sense a huge change in his pressure signature, giving off a somewhat killing intent in a degree where it was enough to overwhelm even to the likes of Videl's level at her utmost highest level of insanity and induce her the fear she have never felt in a lifetime with the killing intent greater than that of a devil's, however, holding zero hostility to his opponents, the darkness that gloomed out from his back and radiating like some radioactive substance was something that felt in the side of 'dangerous'. Nuclear bomb, missiles, whatever that is thrown at him, he'll just take them on with guts. The moment when the Nightmare spoke held a deep tone, his distrust to others' words and their very existence, all the insanity brought to him only cracked a smile on his lips all into one single frame of mind before breaking to a large grin with a sinistering laughter that echoed through the woods, consumed all by the darkness, 'he' was no more the old 'Sou' he once stood on, with a renewed man putting into the battlefield, this was nothing more than a care to give, that broke his mind to pieces and stomped on as if it was some cherry-licking victim. "AHAHA! I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE SO CLOSE INTO TRUSTING YOU EVEN THE SLIGHTEST, MISTER HERO! MAN, YOU MUST'VE BEEN REAL FATHERLY TO LOVE YOUR DAUGHTERS, DON'T YOU!?"

Laughing for a short span of a few seconds, he began to calm himself down, with quite a struggle to not return what's left of his path to the beginning. Indeed, Sou had not recovered from the remainings of his own darkness that turned his fate this way, the personality that has always been haunting him from the start of his existence, it was never an easy task to clear all that insanity out of his way, and that remains in the deepest part of his brain, glued like a gum that will never let go. Shaking his head with a palm of his hand against his forehead in annoyance, he made a few short sentences, before awaiting in a move of what the Beast will take, since in this battlefield, there is no options to talk, chill, or do whatever they want. Life or Death, is what that sets this battlefield from the beginning. "Well then, Shadin, let's see how much of a 'father' you are to protect them from the deaths that she had caused. If you think power and influence will help you on every single thing, then please do so. I'm not sure why did i even survived that nuclear laser that struck me when i would be dead if i was hit straight on, but it must be something that they call 'fate', that from the start, we should've fought like men wihout any hesitations."

ARE WE STILL DOING THIS?

CHECKING THIS THREAD

TO GET THROUGH MY THREADS

Well, considering how SOu died in another thread, and Dansen hasn't posted, I wanted to know if we were still doing this thread? Because if not, I'd prefer for it to reach a conclusion. Seeing how Videl walked away from what I understood of her post, it can be assumed that Sou and Shadin had a brief fight before they came to a draw and Sou escaped. While, Reigen, would have watched before slithering away back to the shadows and Shadin back to Karakura Central to muse over what had occurred with his daughter and almost killing her. If there isn't a post in this thread in the next week, then I'll just lock it.
