Varas vs. Mephisto: on a alien spaceship stadium

It was dark when he awoke. He rubbed the back of his head like someone knocked him out from behind. He looked around to find himself in a dark stadium of sorts. He had a odd feeling that he had been there before. He stood up and dusted off his uniform. He doesn't bother trying to leave the arena floor that he was on since he could swear that there was a unbreakable shield around it to protect the audience and the rest of the stadium from the fight that will be occurring in a couple minutes. Varas sighed and drew his katana, even though he rarely uses it to fight he rather be prepared than sorry.

After a few minutes of waiting around, the lights suddenly flash into assistance. The crowd in the stands roar in excitement, at the chance to see someone die. In the distance, in the 100 meter times 100 meter arena he could see a man. He doesn't see him clearly but he does see that there is a man standing(or laying) on the far side of the arena floor. He sighs slightly, before looking up, just in time to see the announcer from his last match. 'So it wasn't a dream after all and that human girl does actually exist. I wonder who I am forced to fight this time. Hopefully he'll be either completely weak or extremely strong so I can go back to sleep,' he thinks with a mighty yawn.

The announcer starts to speak, "Welcome back to the Earthling Rumble, my dear friends! Tonight we have a Arrancar, that has been here before so he should know the rules. The rules that there are no rules and that they fight to the death or when one of them surrenders! Last time this Arrancar had been here, he forced his opponent to submit before any blood was drawn. This time however, he faces a Demon! This particular Arrancar had displayed a talent for Photokinesis, and Flight the last time he was here. This demon, who is of the sub-race of Rashasa, from the research the team has done, has strange pyrokinetic abilities!" The announcer's hologramed face disappears a second after he ends his announcement.

Varas sighs slightly before placing the tip of his blade on the ground next to him while preparing to fight. While he makes his preparations, the center of the floor opens up revealing a robot. It looks at both contenders before shouting, "ARE THE FIGHTERS READY? DO YOU KNOW THE RULES? THAN FIGHT!" He looked at each fighter before he said the next question, and waved his hands towards the fighters when he said the word fight.

Varas stayed in the position that he is in before closing his eyes to pulse his reiryoku through the stadium to try and gauge the reiryoku level of his opponent. Fighting someone that is a total unknown aside from the pyrokinetic abilities that the strange alien creature said was not truly helpful to him since he could manipulate light instead of water which would be extremely useful at the moment. Varas feels the pulse bounce off his opponent and return to him, before sighing. 'He's doesn't have a signature, which means he is a complete weakling or he has a technique that hides himself from Reiatsu based detection. He's gonna kick my Arrancar ass more than likely,' Varas thinks darkly while watching the man in front of him.

Mephisto, for some odd reason was sent out to see what this little Arrancar was capable of because he was something new that showed up on Hell's radar. Why he was sent to go do this, when someone else could have but apparently they wanted Mephisto to finally go out and make a statement now that the gates of Hell were opened. Mephisto walked into the 100x100 meter arena, and most of the crowd had no idea how to really react to someone like him.

Mephisto was six and half feet tall, but what made him more intimidating was the fact that you could not see any part of his body or his face. He was wearing a raven black cloak that didn't even seem to move as he walked to his position in the field, and even more then that he did not walk so it seemed glided over the surface of the area.

Under his cloak was his sword, Mugento, and he was wondering if he was going to even have to draw it for his fight but he was going to see if his opponent was going to give him something to do.

Varas knew that he would more than likely get his ass kicked so he decides to go full throttle from the get go. He places his katana in front of himself, leveled with his chest, and parallel to the ground. He slowly rubs the katana from the tip to the hilt. Once his fingers reach the hilt of his blade, he whispers, "Fly, Peguso." Once he had uttered those two words, his katana completely disappeared. Varas is covered in a contained light(think Pokemon evolution), before the light disappears revealing Varas.

Varas was covered from the neck down with bone-plated armor. On his head was a headband made out of the same bone. The plate over the top portion of his face disappeared, as well as the portion that was covering the top of his head. Two massive wings made completely out of bone rests on his back, where the scapula would be. He flexes the wings before cracking his neck. He cracks his knuckles slightly revealing spikes on each and every one of his knuckles, like they increase his punching power by stabbing into the opponent instead of just bruising them.

Varas looks at the demon in front of himself before flapping his wings as hard as he can to get above the field. He hovers, 10 meters above the field, knowing that the man would probably be able to hit him. He puts one of his hands in front of himself, before gathering reiryoku to the hand. He slowly starts to form a white ball that hovers just a bit away from his hand. This ball has green outlines due to his personal reiatsu being white with green outlines. He continues to gather energy to the hand until he has the most powerful Cero that he can create. He fires the cero at the man's chest without giving him any sort of warning or ultimatum. He knows that if he did not fire it right than and there, the man would probably kill him without warning.

Mephisto watched from under his dark hood, watching his opponent and sizing him up as he watched the arrancar already pull his sword and start process of going into his true form. This surprised Mephisto as this guy was either one of the people that never held back ever, or he somehow knew who he was fighting which should be more or less impossible as Mephisto has not been outside of Hell in Hundreds of years. He cared very little about this at this moment in time, as he saw the massive flash of light that would have blinded most other fighters but he stared right into it and did not really care.

Once he saw the man's ressurection, he did not really know what to think of it other then he looked like he was trying to imitate Death with all of the bones that were covering him. He seemed to be a very normal Arrancar so far, with very little variation from the standard as far as Mephisto could tell.

He watched as Varas then started to fly above the ring, a mere ten meters, which was still well within Mephisto's blade if he wanted it to be but he was not worried about that. This creature did not deserve his sword yet, lets see if he could test him enough to see if he did. Mephisto watched as the man started to charge up a rather powerful Cero, well, powerful for him and most likely large enough to destroy a small building with ease. Mephisto had other ideas though.

The moment the Cero was fired, it would more then likely cover most if not all of Mephisto from Varas's view and in that moment Mephisto would seem to vanish, as if he had never been there as the Cero crashed into the arena flow, blowing a massive hole in it. Mephisto was behind the arrancar, using the Demon version of Flash Step to appear there, and he would attempt to place his hands on the arrancar's bone wings while putting his right foot into the center of the man's back.

If he managed to do this, with a normal tone Mephisto would say Lets remove these wings.. no flying. and with that, he would pull back on the arrancar's wings and push him away using his foot. This would more then likely shatter the connection between the wings and the arrancar due to Mephisto's strength and the sheer power difference between them. Mephisto also put enough force in this push to send the arrancar flying back down to the stadium floor and do more damage to him unless he did something about it.

Varas slowly starts to lessen the power of his cero when he feels the demon start to ride him like a horse. "Really? You are really using me like a horse," Varas says before the demon could say the 'lets remove these wings... no flying'. Varas starts to fly around as fast as he could trying to shake the demon off of himself before looking back at the demon with a evil smirk on his face, something that is extremely out of character for him. He starts to fly up high into the air. Once they've reached 100 meters, he feels like the wings are being separated from him, so he aims his back at the ground before flying as fast as he can towards the ground.

When they reach 50 meters from the ground, Varas sonidos towards the ground. It seems he's trying to slam the demon into the ground before his wings are completely torn off. Varas knows that if this fails than, he would more than likely might lose his wings permanently due to them being apart of his true form. "YOU'RE TRYING TO CRIPPLE ME FOR LIFE!!! I WILL NOT ALLOW THIS," Varas roars while they're 3 meters away from the ground. He has a look of determination on his face, he truly does not want to lose his wings and lose the power of flight forever. He knows if he does lose the power of flight he would be completely useless and will not be able to defend his home ever again.

Mephistopheles tried to rip this man's wings right off his body, but lucky for him, he reacted with a great amount of speed and effectiveness as he instantly flew straight into the air, quickly and easily reaching nearly three hundred feet in the air before going back down into nose dive. Mephisto was not really sure what he had in mind, but he was going to see and started to slow down ripping the man's wings right off his body. Lets see how he can do, he said as he simply let go of his opponent.


With a quick glance, he saw his target again and right as he was heading towards the ground at an insane speed. With a surprising amount of grace and fluidity, Mephisto flipped over making his body right up again. Using a mild amount of Reiastu, he would slow his fall enough that he fell to the ground without so much as a sound before he said simply Be more worried about your life ending

Mephisto would raise his hand up, his robe sleeve sliding back which most likely to the arrancar's surprise was a completely human looking hand. It even had that slightly pink look of blood running though it, but he most likely did not get to look at it too long as several words left Mephisto's mouth. , Touketsu, unleash the lost souls upon this fool In that moment a green light would cover most of the arena that was in the direction of Mephisto's pointed hand. In that same moment, seven human skulls appeared next to Mephisto, all of them having horns and glowing red with flames. All of them laughing like demons, as Mephisto put his hand down, which was then covered back up by his black cloak before all seven of those skulls came screaming towards the Arrancar at a speed that he could only barely follow more then likely.
