The Hunter and The Prize [Open]

Needless commotion -- that's the first phrase that comes to mind when this senseless battle started making waves of news across The Yuudeshi Network. There were reports coming in by the dozens that there was a brawl of sorts taking place between Yuu Doragonraion and the likes of Eric Zarathos. When word of this first got out? Shadin himself would have been the first on the scene -- if it weren't for the fact he was still under experimental fine tuning of his powers. Ever since his escapades in The Conflict of Australia back in the Autumn of 2413, there had been many sorts of internal injuries done to his body as a result of himself pushing the very abilities that lay within his body to the utmost breaking point. Heaven's Canceler was indeed able to heal many of his physical injuries such as open wounds, broken bones, ruptured organs and nearly catastrophic levels of blood loss. However, the strain done to his spiritual and metaphysical being would take far more time to recover and re-tune in order for Shadin to utilize correctly.

It is on that note, that up until this point, The Beast of Karakura has kept a general low profile following all the blowout of that war. Of course he had enough grit left within him to address the world on the change of Australia, to make amends for what this war has changed in the globe and had enough strength within him to end it. Yet -- the road to recovery was going to be much longer than that. There were many months of rehabilitation to refine his calculation ability; an ability that was needed in order to wield many of his powers correctly. Without his mind being able to do that, even the most simplistic of his electrokinesis would prove to be useless to him.

Furthermore, the strains on the energy pathways within his body were sorely damaged by the Yuudeshi Network amplifying the male's power far beyond it's original limits during that war. That cause friction within his body and he was careful not to tempt fate to have his mind and body unravel while within recovery. In spite of that, though, he'd still feel a sense of urgency to put an end too this hiatus. He had laid in rest long enough; The Beast was tired of these experiments, fine-tuning and dimly lit rooms. While others were on the streets doing their best to protect Karakura and the world at large, it killed Shadin to be cooped up in a hospital or underground facility as he recouped from the war.

So, from that sentiment of thought, Shadin arose from a windowless room with white paint all around. As he laid in the center of this space filled with all sorts of medical equipment, gadgets and holographic imagery of Karakura Central at large; The Beast of Karakura would stare at it all with a scowl. Sensing that Yuu's life was in danger, there wasn't much time to sit on the sidelines anymore. Grabbing his chest, he'd feel a slight stabbing sensation in his heart, but knew he would have to just go against the grain of logical advise given to him by his doctors about his unstable condition.

In the mind of The Yuudeshi? There wasn't much left to do but to test the waters of his health. So he'd quickly move out of bed, coughing a bit here and there, before finally grabbing a few pairs of clothes. At the moment he was only wearing a black hospital gown with the Yuudeshi Clan's symbol engraved on it in red from behind. While all across his arms, legs and chest there were nothing but bandages meant to compress the injuries inflicted to his body on spiritually level and help him function better.

After a change of clothing, he'd be in long sleeved shirt that was gray in hue at the top and transitioned to the same whiteness as the room around him at the bottom. When putting that garment on, he'd feel the reality of it all begin to come crashing down around him. As it had been quite some time since he had put on his civilian clothes. So when Shadin put on his black colored jeans, he'd mentally prepare for whatever awaited him beyond these doors. He had to be ready for the death of a lifelong friend, potential combat against a Demon Overlord and constantly watching over himself and the city at large during this burst of battle. So as he put on his shoes and grabbed his infamous cane, Heavens' Walker, he'd hope Cero and his son, Touma Yuudeshi, would be able to hold the fort until he got there to assist.

Tapping on the collar of The Accelerator, the machine which gave balance to The Beast's powers, he'd activate his Cyberbrain to activate once more. The whirring of machinery was audible throughout his body as many of his internal computing systems were coming to life. All sorts of miniature white dots could even be seen popping in and out of his reddened eyes as he felt a strong surge of urgency pulsate throughout his body once these devices were awakened for the first time in many weeks or months; time being uncertain to him after being enclosed within the underground portion of Karakura Hospital.

And throughout the Yuudeshi Network? The activation of Shadin Yuudeshi's Cyberbrain became apparent; as it let out all sorts of emergency signals throughout the hospital to warn of The Beast's awakening. It resulted in his mind getting bombarded by a number of officials associated with The Yuudeshi Network, Shadin's physicians and those associated with his mental health to reconsider his course of action. Despite these advisors, The Yuudeshi would mute them like a horrid melody buzzing in his head.

The only professional from his team of doctor's he'd consider listening to was Meido. And with the way that man operated? Shadin knew within his heart that if Heaven Canceler were here now? He'd give him sagely advice along the lines of following where his gut urged him to go. As even he acknowledged on the war torn battlefields of Australia that there wasn't much he could do to stop him, The Beast of Karakura, from being thrown into the flames of combat. So long as he was careful with his battles, like the great doctor advised, Shadin figured everything else would simply -- fall into place. At least -- he hoped.

So as he heard a team of personnel beginning to storm down the hallway to no doubt raid his room, Shadin already knew to be out of there in a flash and in a hurry. Tapping on Heaven's Walker, he'd utilize it's new function to use the Yuudeshi Network. In order to avoid straining himself just yet, he'd have his infamous cane set-up a wormhole leading from the depths of Karakura Hospital to the battleground where Yuu, Cero, Touma and Eric were waiting. Once the coordinates were locked? All that was left to do was sink into a white gateway that opened below The Beast's feet. Smirking a bit as he sunk into the floor, Shadin would give a slight wave of the hand to the team of staff associated with the hospital and Yuudeshi Network that barged in too little too late.

In a flash of white, Shadin's vision was devoured by pure light. As he open his eyes next, he'd be transported in the middle of an intersection not too far from where Touma and one of Cero's echo's were located. Stopping the clone right in it's tracks by attempting to seize it's momentum, he'd stand as a barrier for the thing and hopefully it would comply; if it even still had Yuu within it's grasp."Just stop here. I'll take responsibility for this blunder. Leave her there and I'll be the one to bring her back from the clutches of the abyss."

There was a reason Shadin did this: out of everyone on the battlefield, including Eric Zarathos himself, The Beast of Karakura estimated himself to be the best to deal with this sort of damage done to one's metaphysical being. And while he stared off in the distance towards The Demon Lord, as there was a noticeable gap between the two at this vantage point, there was a strong part of The Beast that desired to rip The Mad One to pieces for what had occurred here.

Still, vengeance could be dealt with at a later date. Now wasn't the time to deal with such petty things. What was first and foremost on Shadin's mind: saving a good friend with the gift he was given. Everything else could be handled soon enough. Thus, as the skies would darken and rumble with thunder all around, The Beast would hope he'd have room to actually save a life instead of constantly destroying them. Flashing back briefly to his change of resolve in the Australian Conflict, The Yuudeshi remembered how he felt a sense of loathing to his opponents. Most of them always assumed he only knew how to take life. So as he stare at Yuu's bare body, he figured now would be the best time to disprove that. Instead of tearing up the town and covering it in Eric's blood, he was putting his heart into setting things to what he assumed was right.

Taking a deep breath, he'd go in with the best solution to the problem: The Foreign Energy from his semi-awakening and Imaginary Computation. As imagery of the Australian Conflict once again played within Shadin's mind, he'd recall that Heaven's Walker was indeed on his person during the time he ascended to a brief level of angelhood. Although the Network was still trying to decipher what exactly allowed Shadin to ascend to that level and attempting to learn more about the proprieties behind it, he insisted on keeping leftover energy from that moment stored within his cane for circumstances such as this.

As a result? He'd synchronize his spiritual frequency together with Heaven's Walker. Being that Shadin was giving off virtually no energy at the moment, he'd even use this as a crutch to activate Imaginary Computation. Although the power was very much active within him, it required a good deal of fuel to properly harness it. So with the reserves stored in Heaven's Walker together with the angelic energy from his ascension, the color within Shadin's crimson eyes faded and nothing but whites could be seen in them as he activated this infamous ability.

No matter where Yuu may have happened to run or be taken to at this point, a stream of light would envelop her body. It's possible for her to fight against it if she so willed it, but this was Shadin's will at work and it had his very essence coursing throughout it. So in The Beast's mind? The chances of her rejecting this were null. At least -- consciously rejecting it. He wasn't entirely sure if her body would accept his energy into it, but if it did? It would go to work injecting it with copious amounts of this ethereal holy energy emitting from Shadin.

It is at this phase where he'd focus his mind, feeling a burning pain all throughout his body and shown by the way he gritted his teeth. In spite of the discomfort the male was under, he'd brave through it as he realizes at this point that this is the terrority that comes with reawakening his powers. Nevertheless, the intent behind this maneuver was to first allow his force to engulf her internally and externally. The next step was to purify her and cleanse her of any impurities, negative influences and other toxic proprieties constricting her body. In this way? The angelic force being generated from Shadin allowed him the opportunity remove the curse outright from Yuu.

Of course, even in that best case scenario, it would still take Yuu a bit of time to recover fully. With that being the situation at hand, the most important fact would be that her life would at least be stabilized for the time being and she'd be a woman free of sin. If he could? He'd attempt to ease the agony flowing throughout Ms.Doragonraion's body. Since, as it stood now? There may or may not a bodily reaction associated with Shadin's foreign energy entering her, the poisons from the curse exiting her and the strain her body must no doubt be under at the moment. After all, this process is dragging her in and out of the clutches of life and death; Shadin didn't expect it to be a painless operation, but he did expect her to be a strong enough woman to be able to endure such a pain.

Nevertheless, it is at this point that Shadin himself would begin coughing up a small release of blood into his right hand. Vision blurring in and out, The Beast assumed that he should be no lower than a Shikai level of spiritual energy to use this power without drawback. For all that warning, however, he could not transform for the time being as he couldn't risk it in his current state. So this was the best he could do for both her and himself until he saw the results of his treatment on her.

Rubbing his temples out of frustration at the situation, he'd try his best to come out of his own head and begrudgingly carcass her cheek. If there was a familiar touch, maybe she might come out of it in his head; although he himself had more than closed out his heart over the years to most of those close to him. So it was a rather -- sobering experience for The Yuudeshi. In spite of all that, though, he'd still utter these words out for her to hear: "I honestly don't have any sort of snappy words to say to you in this moment. I've hated dealing with sentimental words and circumstances like this. But, if you can still hear my voice? Please take my hand and fight through this hell. Let's not give this bastard the satisfaction of killing you. Otherwise, I'll have to paint this town in a sea of the demon's blood and guts...."

Having said that, he'd gently rub her hand and then turn his attention towards Cero, Eric and Touma's spat. Depending on what transpired with that fight? The Beast of Karakura would be ready to pitch in at a moment's notice if they should so fail to subdue, attack or keep The Demon from him and Yuu. "...so for your sake, Eric Zarathos, you'd better hope those two will be able to hold you back or you have sense enough to leave this city. As if the conditions of battle disallow them to fight, and you have the gull to approach this space, I will surely rip out the entrails of your heart with my barehands and make you regret ever stepping forth into this lair of lions. I'll show you what a real monster, nay, a true demon is once that line is crossed."

And with that, an ominous air would then fill the city streets all around them; a low rumbling echoing throughout the city as faint snarling and growling of animals was heard all throughout this portion of Karakura Central. Every word echoed out of that warning was filled to the brim with the utmost of intent; but only time could tell if all would go as planned. For now? Shadin would nurse the wounds of Yuu and simply wait to see everything unfold.
